        예비 초등 교사들의 저학년 아동교육실습 경험과 그 의미

        Objectives: This phenomenology research explored how pre-service teachers participating in the second-grade classroom practicum experienced and interpreted its meaning. Methods: To do so, data from focus group interviews, questionnaires, journals, reflections, and observations of three pre-service teachers in their second semester of junior year along with the researchers’ reflective journals were collected and analyzed. Results: The experiences of the pre-service teachers were classified into three categories. The pre-service teachers gained a deeper understanding of characteristics of early-grade children, effective teaching practices for early-grade students, and becoming an early-grade teacher as a professional. Conclusions: Examining the pre-service teachers’ practicum experience in this research enabled us to uncover how the teachers interpret their experience and its meaning about young learners, teaching practices, and professionalism. 연구목적: 본 연구는 초등학교 2학년 교육실습에 참여한 예비 초등교사들의 저학년 교육실습 경험과 그 의미를 알아보는 데 있다. 방법: 교육대학교 3학년 2학기에 재학 중인 예비 초등교사 3명에 대한 집단면담, 질문지, 교육실습록, 교육실습 소감문, 참여관찰, 연구자의 반성적 저널 등의 자료를 수집하고 질적으로 분석하였다. 결과: 예비교사들의 경험을 크게 세 가지 범주로 구분할 수 있었다. 첫째로 예비교사들은 저학년 학습자의 특성 등 저학년 아동에 대한 이해가 높아졌고, 둘째로 예비교사들은 경험 중심 등 저학년 교수-학습방법에 대하여 보다 심도 있는 깨달음을 얻었다. 셋째로, 예비교사들은 저학년 교사됨에 대한 고민을 보다 구체적으로 하게 되었다. 결론: 본 연구는 예비 초등교사들의 경험을 바탕으로 저학년 아동에 대한 생각과 저학년 아동을 지도할 때 고려해야 할 교수-학습방법, 저학년 교사됨에 대하여 알아보았다는 데 의의가 있다.

        세르비아의 한류 현상 분석 - 10, 20대의 케이팝을 중심으로 -

        The purpose of this research is to investigate the statues of a Korean Wave called ‘Hallyu’ a phenomenon seen in Serbia. The Korean Wave refers to the global popularity of Korean culture including K-pop music, and K-dramas. The Korean Wave in Eastern Europe has boomed in the mid-2000s around Hungary and Rumania, later spreading to Serbia. This study explores the background of the influx and popularity factors that influenced the Korean Wave in Serbia. The study interviewed 43 Serbians and this study shows that people started enjoying Korean culture, especially K-Pop from 2017. After encountering the Korean culture through social media, they spread it by sharing it with people around them such as family and friends. Their interest in K-pop expanded from Korea’s overall culture such as TV drama, movies, food, traditional culture. etc. However, generally the Korean wave is still unfamiliar in Serbia. The popularity factors can be summarized as novelty, perfection, and communication. They highly praised it for its ‘novelty’ as it’s different from Serbian culture. Also, performers work hard to achieve‘perfection’ and they have warm and sincere ‘communication’ with fans. It is expected to have a positive effect on the cultural exchange between the two countries in the future. This study is meaningful in that it is the first paper regarding the Korean Wave in Serbia. It could contribute to understanding and spreading the Korean Wave and it can be used as basic research data on the Korean Wave in Serbia.

        프뢰벨의 낭만주의적 유아기 인간교육에 대한 고찰

        This study examines the philosophy of Froebel's philosophy as a metaphysical approach to focus on Froebel's romantic young children human education which is the basis of Froebel's educational philosophy. Froebel distinguished human beings in young children from infancy, which is the initial stage of human development, and young children, which begins to express external things internally. In addition, Froebel understands the human being of young children as being a person with infinite possibility ‘divinity’ that has been given to God since birth and constantly developing into a perfect personality with a good nature. There are four ways to educate the human beings of young children proposed by Froebel. Firstly, there are ‘symbol’ and ‘Ahnung’ based on the romantic world view. Symbols are the key to understanding the natural phenomenon of young children, and they have mental implications beyond specific intuition. Also, it is because the infant has a foreboding ability to understand symbols. Second, ‘play’ and ‘principle of self–activity’ gave the educational philosophical meaning to play, and play was the best expression of young children's inner self expression. The principle of self-activity is a principle that enables education that emphasizes play that appears in young children as a natural way of self-expression of young children. Third, Froebel said that the process of the development of human life is impermanent, and that occupation is human education. Fourth, Froebel argued for a passive education(developmentally adaptive education) that human beings develop according to their inherent inevitability, but at the same time, they recognized that a method of prescriptive education is necessary. Froebel is a representative young children educator who has effectively incorporated the romantic educational philosophy into young children education practice, and continues to have worldwide influence.

        프뢰벨의 인간관과 발달관에 기초한 유아교육의 발전방향 모색

        In this study, I examine Froebel 's perspective of human development, and try to explore the development direction of early childhood education based on it. Froebel 's view of human beings has been examined in six big categories of divinity, goodness, personality, relationship, creative humanity, and organic humanity. Froebel saw an infant as a person with a divine character and a personality. In addition, it is a relationship with God, nature, and humanity. According to Froebel's development, development is continuous without intervals, and each developmental stage has its own unique value. Also, infants are perfect human beings with a whole life inside, and are a partial whole of humanity. On the basis of Froebel 's view of humanity and development, we should aim for 'Education of relationship' that coexists in education and community and nurtures the unique personality of each infant. Froebel's educational philosophy and principles are based on an understanding of the nature of infants, which should be reflected in the Nuri process. Parents and early childhood teachers need a variety of training and educational programs to understand Froebel's perspective of human development. Understanding the nature of infants and educating them in accordance with their nature is the starting point of Froebel's early childhood education. As Froebel's educational philosophy becomes the foundation of early childhood education, it will be able to realize infant education for infants, which is the subject of infancy. Also, it is necessary for parents and early childhood teachers to develop and operate various training and education programs to understand Froebel's perspective of humanity and development. 본 연구에서는 프뢰벨의 인간관과 발달관에 대해 고찰하고 이에 기초한 유아교육의 발전방향을 모색해 보고자 한다. 프뢰벨의 인간관은 신성(神性), 선성(善性), 개성, 관계성, 창조적 인간, 유기체적 인간의 여섯 가지 줄기로 살펴보았다. 프뢰벨이 바라 본 유아는 신의 성품을 품은 존재이며 개성을 지닌 존재이다. 또한, 신·자연·인류와 관련을 맺은 존재이다. 프뢰벨의 발달관에 의하면, 발달이란 간격 없이 연속된 것이며 각 발달단계 자체에 고유의 가치가 있다는 특징이 있다. 또한, 유아는 생명 전체를 내부에 갖고 있는 완전한 인간이며 인류의 부분적 전체이다. 프뢰벨의 인간관과 발달관에 기초할 때 우리는 각 유아 고유의 개성을 키워주는 교육, 공동체 속에서 공존하는 ‘관계성의 교육’을 지향해야 하며 유아의 본성에 대한 이해에 기반한 프뢰벨의 교육철학과 원리가 누리과정에 좀 더 반영될 필요가 있다. 유아의 본성을 이해하고 본성에 맞는 교육을 하는 것은 프뢰벨 유아교육의 출발점이다. 프뢰벨의 교육철학이 유아교육의 토대가 될 때 유아가 주체가 되는, 유아를 위한 유아교육을 실현할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 부모와 유아교사가 프뢰벨의 인간관, 발달관을 이해할 수 있는 다양한 연수와 교육 프로그램이 개발·운영될 필요가 있다.

        문화 언어 능력 신장을 위한 한국어·문화 교육 방안 연구 - ‘한국음식’을 바탕으로 -

        The purpose of this study is to develop a class lesson plan that integrates Korean culture and language at universities outside of Korea. Under the theme of "Bibimbap", it was designed by combining Brinton's "Into-Through-Beyond" model, a CBL method, ACTFL 5Cs' "communication," "culture" elements, and CEFR's "cultural competence. This lesson plan was applied to actual classes which presented a practical example of how this method of teaching can be achieved. As a result of this study, it was found that language and cultural skills improved at the same time. Learners were also found to be interested in all areas that were taught in-class such as language, culture, and presentation activities, which seemed to have a great influence on learners' language and cultural competence. This study is meaningful in that it not only develops a practical teaching model, but it is also applicable to actual classes thus increasing the completeness of the research.

        The emphasis in mathematic teaching is on the development of conceptual understanding. Why do we need to teach conceptual understanding versus Procedural understanding? Does the student really need to understand the basis for mathematics operations rather than just learning how to manipulate numbers and symbols? The obvious advantage of developing a conceptual understanding is that the understanding can be easily applied to new situations and new problems. A less obvious reason is that conceptual understanding of mathematics is a necessary part of teaching the point of mathematics to students as the level of mathematics becomes more and more complex through high school and college.

        The Adipogenic Effect of Palmitate in Mouse Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

        In the present study, we examined the effect of palmitate on adipocyte differentiation in mouse bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Obesity is associated with increased adipocyte differentiation of preadipocytes or MSCs. Free fatty acids (FFAs) have been reported to have an influence on adipogenesis. Thus, the elevated level of FFAs in obese individuals may set off a vicious cycle of events leading to further increased adipogenesis. Palmitate is one of the most abundant FFAs in plasma. The results in this study showed that treatment with palmitate for 3 days, followed by maintenance with insulin for 4 days (palmitate 3d/insulin 4d), induced lipid accumulation and adipocyte protein 2 (aP2) expression in bone marrow-derived MSCs. Our results also showed that treatment with palmitate 3d/insulin 4d induced expressions of adipogenic transcription factors, namely CCAAT enhancer-binding protein (C/EBP) β, C/EBPα, and PPARγ in bone marrow-derived MSCs. In comparison of palmitate with stearate, the levels of lipid accumulation, aP2, and adipogenic transcription factors in cells treated with palmitate 3d/insulin 4d were generally higher than those of cells treated with same concentration of stearate 3d/insulin 4d. Taken together, our results suggest that palmitate is a potent adipogenic FFA that triggers adipocyte differentiation of bone marrow-derived MSCs.

        Rifampicin Inhibits the LPS-induced Expression of Toll-like Receptor 2 via the Suppression of NF-κB DNA-binding Activity in RAW 264.7 Cells

        Rifampicin is a macrocyclic antibiotic which is used extensively for treatment against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other mycobacterial infections. Recently, a number of studies have focused on the immune-regulatory effects of rifampicin. Therefore, we hypothesized that rifampicin may influence the TLR2 expression in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells. In this study, we determined that rifampicin suppresses LPS-induced TLR2 mRNA expression. The down-regulation of TLR2 expression coincided with decreased production of TNF-α. Since NF-κB is a major transcription factor that regulates genes for TLR2 and TNF-α, we examined the effect of rifampicin on the LPS-induced NF-κB activation. Rifampicin inhibited NF-κB DNA-binding activity in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells, while it did not affect IKKα/β activity. However, rifampicin slightly inhibited the nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65. In addition, rifampicin increased physical interaction between pregnane X receptor, a receptor for rifampicin, and NF-κB p65, suggesting pregnane X receptor interferes with NF-κB binding to DNA. Taken together, our results demonstrate that rifampicin inhibits LPS-induced TLR2 expression, at least in part, via the suppression of NF-κB DNA-binding activity in RAW 264.7 cells. Thus, the present results suggest that the rifampicin-mediated inhibition of TLR2 via the suppression of NF-κB DNA- binding activity may be a novel mechanism of the immune-suppressive effects of rifampicin.

        Vitamin D Receptor Gene TaqI, BsmI and FokI Polymorphisms in Korean Patients with Tuberculosis

        Background: The active metabolite (1, 25- dihydroxycholecalciferol)of vitamin D (25-hydroxycholecalciferol) leads to activation of macrophages and deficiency of vitamin D seems to be involved in the risk of tuberculosis. The effects of vitamin D are exerted by interaction with the vitamin D receptor (VDR) and may be influenced by polymorphism in the VDR gene. In this study, variation in the VDR gene was investigated in Korean population with tuberculosis. Methods: We typed three VDR polymorphisms of restriction endonuclease sites for TaqI, BsmI and FokI in 155 patients with tuberculosis and 105 healthy volunteers. Results: The frequencies of FokI genotypes determined from TB patients were 29.13%for FF, 56.31% for Ff, and 14.56% for ff. We observed 1.4-fold increased prevalence of the Ff genotype in TB patients compared with normal healthy groups (p=0.0857). However, there was no significant association between the genotype groups, TB patient and normal control, for FokI polymorphism. There was also no significant association between VDR gene and tuberculosis in another polymorphism (BsmI and TaqI). Conclusion: Three polymorphisms (TaqI,BsmI and FokI) in the VDR gene do not appear to be responsible for host susceptibility to human tuberculosis in Korean population.
