물리적 시험과 3차원 정상상태 전열해석을 통한 대면적 알루미늄 스틱 커튼월의 열성능 평가

This study aims to evaluate thermal performance of large-scaled curtain wall specimen using Korean Standard test methods and computer heat transfer analysis based on ISO 15099, ISO 10211, ISO 10077-2. The reference model of specimen is aluminum stick curtain wall system consisting of low-e double glazing with warm edge spacer and argon gas. The thermal transmittance and temperature difference ratio (TDR) were chosen as thermal performance factors. The results were as follows. First, the results of thermal transmittance for large-scaled specimen through test method and computer simulation showed 1.919 W/㎡·K and 1.843 W/㎡·K respectively. The error rate between test and simulation indicated 3.96%. Secondly, the results of the highest temperature difference ratio between test and computer simulation showed 0.32 and 0.29 respectively at both the edge of glazing. The TDR at center and edge of glazing were not up to the region 1 of design criteria for prevention of condensation in apartment housing.

Objective: To report the effect of oriental medical treatment on post spinal surgery syndrome (PSSS) in restless leg syndrome (RLS). Methods: We treated this patient with oriental medicine and measured his progress using a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), and the International Restless Leg Scale (IRLS). Results: After treatment, most symptoms had decreased: the VAS score dropped from 6 to 3, ODI from 22 to 14, and IRLS from 34 to 20. Conclusions: Oriental medicine may be effective in alleviating PSSS and RLS. However, more rigorous studies are required to identify exactly what treatment is more efficient for PSSS and RLS.
우울, 불안증상을 동반한 인후두역류증 환자 한방치험 1례

Objective: This study was performed to report the effect of traditional Korean medicine as a treatment for laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) combined with depressive and anxiety disorder. Methods: We treated this patient with traditional Korean medicine and measured symptom severity using the reflux symptom index (RSI), Beck depression inventory (BDI), and Beck anxiety inventory (BAI). Results: After 3 weeks of treatment, most symptoms had decreased. The RSI score dropped from 21 to 8, BDI from 27 to 14, and BAI from 29 to 15. Conclusions: Traditional Korean medicine may be effective as a treatment for LPR combined with depressive and anxiety disorder, and a correlation may exist between LPR and psychological factors. However, more rigorous studies are required to identify exactly what treatment is most efficient for relieving LPR combined with depressive and anxiety disorder and whether LPR and psychological factors are clearly correlated.

본 연구는 터치 인터페이스를 이용하여 음향 효과 재생 시스템을 개발하였다. 터치 인터페이스를 통하여 손의 위치를 인식하고, 해당 위치에 가상의 공을 생성한다. 움직임을 통하여 시각적 피드백과 음향효과를 발생시킨다. 사용자는 오브젝트의 크기와 위치를 조정하여 창조적인 음향 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 따라서 본 시스템은 터치 인터페이스를 이용하여 사용자와 시·청각적 상호작용을 할 수 있는 인터페이스를 제안한다.
Compensation of stray capacitance of the quartz tuning fork for a quantitative force spectroscopy

We have introduced a simple but robust approach to realize stray-capacitance compensation of a quartz tuning fork force gradient sensor by using a tied-prong of the same tuning fork instead of using a variable precision capacitor. The results of quantitative force measurements with the proposed device show excellent agreement with the numerical method of cancellation via the theoretical compensation method with the resonance response curves. Futhermore, the mechanical properties of the condensed nano-water bridges are investigated with the proposed compensator, which provides the potential promise of the intrinsic quartz tuning fork for a quantitative precision force spectroscopy.

The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding of the feedback circuit, which is a key element, used in an atomic force microscope that is contributing to breakthroughs in world science. Even for beginners in nanoscience, this paper promotes an understanding of the principles in atomic force microscopy and further explains the detailed elements of the atomic force microscope in a simple way along with experimental results.
