        가토의 두개골에서 Pore의 유무에 따른 티타늄 반구에서의 골형성 능

        Purpose: This study is performed to determine the effects of titanium cap with various sizes of pores on bone formation during guided bone regeneration (GBR). Methods: Calvaria from 10 adult male rabbits were chosen as the recipient sites. A trephine bur with a diameter of 10 mm was used to form one round groove on each side of sagittal suture of the cranium, and a round bur with a diameter of 1.5 mm was used to form 6 small holes on the inner circles of round grooves to induce bleeding. In the control group, bone graft was not conducted, and closed titanium cap was fixed in the round groove. Bone graft was not performed in groups 1 and 2, but fixed on titanium caps with 0.2 mm, and 0.5 mm sized pores, respectively. For groups 3, 4, and 5, a synthetic bone graft material (${\beta}$-tricalcium phosphate, Cerasorb$^{(R)}$, Germany) was transplanted, and titanium caps without pore, with 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm sized pore were fixed, respectively. The animals were sacrificed 4 weeks after, and clinical, radiographical, and histomorphometrical evaluation of bone regeneration was performed. Results: In all groups, there were no clinical signs of infection, inflammation or wound dehiscence. Radiographic evaluation revealed well-defined semi-circular radiopacity inside the titanium cap of groups 3, 4, and 5. Histologically, the inner surface of the hemisphere was evenly lined with newly formed bone tissue, as well as grafted bone material in the group 3. In groups 4 and 5, the insertion of connective tissue was observed along the inner surface. However, the overall surface area between the grafts with different holes yielded no statistical significance in the histomorphometrical evaluation. Conclusion: Although the total area of newly formed bone showed no significant difference, excellent bone formation tendency was observed histologically when closed caps were used with bone graft was accompanied.

        유산균 발효천마(Gasatrodia elata Bl.)의 항산화 효과 및 고혈압모델 쥐(SHR)에서의 혈압조절능력 평가

        Gastrodia elata Bl. (GE) is a traditional herbal medicine used for the treatment hypertension and cerebrovascular disease. The purpose of this study was to investigate the antioxidant effect and blood pressure control ability of the GABA containing fermented Gastrodia elata Blume. The fermentation strain provided by Dr. Gi in Seoul National University is L. brevis GABA100, excellent strain of GABA production, which is involved in the ability to degrade gastrodin glycosides and activation of brain function. The Gastrodia elata Blume fermented by Lactobacillus brevis GABA 100 showed antioxidant activity (total phenolic contents, DPPH radical and ABTS anion scavenging activities) than unfermented Gastrodia elata Blume. In the spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), the concentration of fermented Gastrodia elata Blume was administered at 500, 1,000, and 2,000 mg/kg for 8 weeks. Systolic blood pressure decreased statistically significantly (p<0.05), especially 2 weeks after feeding fermented Gastrodia elata Blume. Also, it showed a significant decrease in low, medium, and high concentrations of fermented Gastrodia elata Blume at 4 weeks and 8 weeks. These results indicated that Gastrodia elata Blume fermented by the excellent strain of GABA production L. brevis GABA100 shows the antioxidant function and the effect of suppressing the increase in blood pressure.

        소자의 미스매치 변화에 둔감한 밴드갭 기준전압 발생기

        기준 전압 발생기는 많은 집적회로에서 필수적으로 사용하는 회로로, 정확한 기준 전압을 위해서는 입력전압, 온도뿐만 아니라 공정의 미스매치에 대한 변화에도 둔감해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 소자의 미스매치에 의한 오프셋을 최소화 하는 기준 전압 발생기의 구조를 제안한다. 기준전압 발생기에서 나타나는 오프셋의 주요 원인인 전류 미러링 회로를 줄였으며, 초기에는 시동 동작을 수행하고 정상 상태에서는 기준 전압 발생기의 operational amplifier의 일부로 활용되는 시동회로를 적용하였다. 제안한 구조를 0.18μm CMOS 공정을 사용하여 설계하였으며, 공정에서 제공하는 미스매치 모델을 적용하여 monte-carlo 시뮬레이션으로 검증하였을 시 기존의 구조에 비해 출력에서 발생하는 오프셋 전압의 표준편차가 17.7mV 개선됨을 확인하였다. A band-gap reference voltage generator which is essential in integrated circuits has to be insensitive to the input voltage, temperature and mismatch variation of process. In this paper, the reference voltage generator is proposed to minimize offset voltage due to mismatch variation of CMOS devices. The number of current mirror circuit which is main cause of offset voltage is minimized as much as possible, and a start-up circuit which is used as part of operational amplifier in a steady-state is applied. The proposed reference voltage generator is designed in 0.18μm CMOS process and the offset voltage of the output is confirmed by monte-carlo simulation using the mismatch model provided by the foundry. The standard deviation of the offset voltage is improved by 17.7mV.

        피톤치드 처리 후의 잔존 구강 세균이 Pr. intermedia에 미치는 영향

        The present study was performed to observe the effect of phytoncide on oral normal microflora and the inhibitory effect of the surviving resident oral bacteria on Pr. intermedia. In this study, saliva from each of 20 healthy subjects was treated with 1% phytoncide from Japanese Hinoki (Chamaecyparis obtusa Sieb. et Zucc.). Surviving salivary bacteria were isolated on blood agar plates and identified by 16S rDNA sequencing. In order to select inhibitory isolates against Pr. intermedia, the isolates from the phytoncide-treated saliva were cultured with Pr. intermedia. The results were as follows: 1. Among the 200 surviving resident oral bacterium, 148(74.0%) bacterium inhibit the growth of Pr. intermedia on blood agar plates. 2. The 200 surviving resident oral bacterium were 109 Streptococcus salivarius(54.5%), 25 Streptococcus sanguinis(12.5%), 15 Streptococcus mitis(7.5%). 3. Among the 148 bacteria which inhibit Pr. intermedia, Streptococcus salivarius was 85.3%(93/109), Streptococcus sanguinis was 64.0%.(16/25), Streptococcus mitis was 54.3%(8/15), Streptococcus parasanguinis was 66.7%(6/9), and Streptococcus Alactolyticus was 100%(8/8). Taken together, among the surviving resident oral bacterium, Streptococcus salivarius, Streptococcus sanguinis, Streptococcus mitis were mainly observed to inhibit Pr. intermedia. and they may exert an additional inhibitory activity against the periodontopathic bacterium. Therefore, phytoncide can be used for preventing and ceasing the progress of periodontal disease and halitosis, and thus is expect to promote oral health.

        폐결핵이 동반된 아급성 괴사성 임파선염 1 예

        Subacute necrotizing lymphadenitis(SNL) is first described in 1972 by Kikuchi and Fujimoto independently, which has benign clinical course with characteristic histologic features. The etiology is unknown but clinical and histological features suggest an infectious agent, which has not been identified. The resemblance of lymph node lesions to those of systemic lupus erythematosus has suggested an autoimmune process. We report a case of a 24-year-old woman who presented with cervical lymphadenopathy, fever, cough and pulmonary lesion in chest x-ray. The histopathological features of the lymph nodes showed typical findings consistent with SNL and the chest lesion was diagnosed as pulmonary tuberculosis by positive sputum AFB smear.

      • 폐결핵 환자의 우울 상태

        The main purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate the depressive states for the patients with chronic pulmonary tuberculosis. A questionnaire(Self-rating Depression Scale, SDS) survey was performed toward 57 pulmonary tuberculosis patients with initial treatment who started chemotherapy and 53 pulmonary tuberculosis patients with retreatment, admitted to one tuberculosis-centered hospital and two general hospital. Fifty three healthy persons as control group were investigated with the same questionnaire for comparison. The survey was performed from July to August 1996. The results are as follws : 1. The patients had significantly high scores in the depression than control and the patient with retreatment showed significantly high scores in the depression than the patient with initia1treatment(P<0.01). 2. The depressive levels of the patients were associated with duration of admission and the expectancy of recovery (P<0.05). 3. The percentage of the subjects with 40 or more scores tentatively classifiable as psychologically depressed was 67.1% of the total subjects, 48.4% of the control groups, 75.0% of the patient with initial treatment and 84.1% of the patient with retreatment. Because patient with pulmonary tuberculosis with initial treatment showed higher depression scores than normal persons, and patients with retreatment due to failure of initial treatment showed higher depression scores than initial treatment, it is necessary to give attention to depression of the patients during treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
