This study was investigated to evaluate the effects of fertilizer application of surface and broadcast for rice culture on the soil chemical, physical, and microbial properties as well as growth and yield of rice. The application was made with 'Dongjin 1' rice at Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research & Extension Services from 2008 to 2010. Soil organic matter and cation concentrations were increased by surface and broadcast applications, respectively. Plots treated by surface application tended to be higher seasonal N-mineralization rate in the organic fertilizer and seasonal soil organic matter than those of broadcast application. Soil physical properties seemed to be improved by the broadcast application, and soil microbial properties were increased by the surface application. Surface application increased 5% of rice yield compared to that of broadcast.

The techniques of the dental treatment are well known to common people, but the dental implant as one of the treatment options to rehabilitate patient's mouth is little known to them. Taking these situation into consideration, we, writers made actual analyses of statistics by putting into the form of diagrams based on questionnaires. Three hundreds of common people over 20 years old were picked up and we used convenience sampling method which is one of nonprobability sampling methods. Statistics are about these questions. 1. How much common people know about dental implant as a treatment option. 2. How much common people know about the detailed portions of the dental implant for rehabilitaton. 3. How common people got to know the dental implant. We present actual answers of the common people.

This paper presents results of one-year monitoring on prestressing force of a 7-wire steel post-tensioning strand which is installed in a UHPC(ultra high performance concrete) bridge with 11.0 m long, 5.0 m wide, and 0.6 m high by using a FBG-encapsulated 7-wire steel strand. The initial prestressing forces and the prestress changes during a vehicle load test were measured using the FBG-encapsulated strand. The results show that the FBG-encapsulated 7-wire strand is very effective for monitoring the prestress forces even the change in the tension force is very small. Additionally, it was indicated that selection of the thermal expansion coefficient which is used for the temperature correction shall be carefully carried out.

We report the production of SiO$_x$ nanowires by thermal heating of Pd-coated Si substrates. Scanning electron microscope images indicated that the nanowires had diameters in the range of 15 -- 100 nm. X-ray diffraction, selected area electron diffraction, and energy dispersive X-ray analyses revealed that the nanowires were amorphous and comprised of silicon oxide only. Photoluminescence measurements showed that the SiO$_x$ nanowires had an emission band in the blue region. We discuss a possible growth mechanism for the SiO$_x$ nanowires.

This study is about e-Book program based on human-computer interaction(HCI) system for physically handicapped person. By acquiring background knowledge of HCI, we know that if we use vision-based interface we can replace current computer input devices by extracting any characteristic point and tracing it. We decided betweeneyes as a characteristic point by analyzing facial input image using webcam. But because of three-dimensional structure of glasses, the person who is wearing glasses wasn't suitable for tracing between-eyes. So we changed characteristic point to the bridge of the nose after detecting between-eyes. By using this technique, we could trace rotation of head in real-time regardless of glasses. To test this program's usefulness, we conducted an experiment to analyze the test result on actual application. Consequently, we got 96.5% rate of success for controlling e-Book under proper condition by analyzing the test result of 20 subjects.

본 연구에서는 부동산 시장뿐만 아니라 우리 생활에 많은 비중을 차지하는 주택 가격에 영향을 미치는 거시경제변수에 대해 살펴보았다. 주택 전세가격에 영향을 미칠 것으로 파악되는 거시경제변수로는 가계대출금리, 가계예금총액, 취업자 수로 분석모형을 설정하였으며, 각 변수에 대한 시계열 자료를 활용하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석한 결과에 따르면, 주택 전세가격은 네 가지 거시경제변수 모두에 영향을 받으며 각각의 변수가 높아질수록 전세가격 또한 상승하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 주택 전세가격 안정화를 위한 해결책을 모색하고, 효율적이고 지속 가능한 주택시장 정책을 수립할 수 있을 것이다.

An analytic solution is obtained for the problem of monochromatic light scattering by optically active, concentric double cylinders. The validity of the obtained solution is indirectly checked by comparing it with solutions already reported for some special cases. The solution can be used in the optical analysis of rod-shaped biological cells which possibly have optically active nuclei containing helically wound chromosomes.

Currently, construction engineering industry of high value and rapid growing has been viewed as a future oriented industry. Thus, compared to other industries, its analysis system for business trend seems insufficient. This research has developed a business survey index model targeted for construction engineering industries, and business trends for 4/4 quarter of 2011 as well as 1/4 quarter of 2012 were surveyed as important traits were analyzed. Business Survey Index of Construction Engineering has been constructed in form of an index in order to accurately judge different economic states of the industry such as funding areas, human resources, payability, ordering scale, status of domestic and foreign markets, Difficulties in Management, and improvements in policies. In the future, CEBSI will not only be applied on the construction engineering industry, but it will also be used as the economic state of all construction industries as well as the prospect data. Thus, it will be utilized as basic resources that can establish systematic and accurate policies.

This study tried to explore the ways to operate service learning more effectively by analyzing the educational effects of service learning and changes in learning sentiments that appeared in the service learning operation process established for the realization of the Christian educational philosophy at a small local Christian university. The analysis was conducted using NVivo11, focusing on the reflection journals of students who participated in service learning in the first semester of 2022 at J University. As a result of the study, through service learning, personal competence growth, self-reflection and will to change, self-esteem and self-efficacy, social and civic aspects, social responsibility enhancement, community (community) empathy and awareness of participation, and helping others There were educational effects such as an increase in the breadth of understanding. In addition, learning emotions that appeared in the service learning process included positive emotions such as gratitude, challenge recognition, pride, confidence, and responsibility, and negative emotions such as worry (difficulty), upset, regret, and awkwardness. It is a measure to increase the educational effect based on the learning emotion shown in the service learning process. When operating service learning, the service period at the visiting institution is increased to 6 weeks or more, and based on close interaction and detailed analysis of the educational environment in the planning stage, Suggest to develop and operate a plan. In addition, if you have the opportunity to receive feedback from your professors and colleagues through demonstrations and mock presentations in the classroom before visiting the institution, and finally have the opportunity to visit the institution again after the results of service learning are announced, more quality service learning education will be operated. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that more valuable and meaningful service learning education opportunities will be provided to learners by designing and operating a practical and sophisticated service learning curriculum.

To maintain a good sperm motility is one of the key factors for the successful artificial insemination in retrograde ejaculation, and the sperm motility has been shown to be affected by various environmental factors, including change in pH and osmolarity. Herein we have analyzed the effect of change in pH and osmolarity in urine and normal saline on sperm motility by Sperm Quality Analyzer and Makler counting chamber. Semen, which sampled by masturbation from a 28 year old male and showed normal finding on semen analysis, was used for this study. The results were as follows: 1. When osmolarity was fixed to 300mOsm, pH did not show a definite effect on the sperm moility. However, the motility was generally a bit better in alkaline urine and saline than in acid, particularly than in pH 5.0. 2. When pH was fixed to 7.5, sperm motility was best in urine and saline of 300mOsm. Hyperosmolarity had more adverse.effect on the motility than hypoosmolarity. 3. The sperm motility was worse in the urine than in saline under the same pH and osmolarity. In conclusion, osmolarity has a definite effect on sperm motility, where as pH has relatively little effect. And certain components of urine other than pH and osmolarity might affect the sperm motility.
