Current limit state design method for encased composite columns contains irrational and uncertain design equations in defining section and material properties of composite members. Through investigating previous research used in formulating the design equation, this paper explores the irrationality and uncertainty such as 1) transformation of yield stress and elastic modulus for composite section, 2) an equation influencing buckling strength in terms of area rather than moment of inertia, and 3) selection of larger radius of gyration between steel and concrete sections. Improving the design equations this paper proposes two design methods which can be directly used in practical design. 현존하는 매립형 합성기둥의 한계상태설계법은 합성재로서의 단면과 재료의 성능을 정의하는 설계식에 비논리적이며 모호한 부분을 내포하고 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 설계식을 제정하는데 사용한 과거의 연구자료를 조사하며 비논리적이며 모호한 점들을 분석하였다. 즉, 합성단면으로서의 항복강도와 탄성계수의 환산, 좌굴강도를 산정하는데 영향을 주는 설계식에서 단면2차모멘트 대신에 단면적의 사용. 강재 단면과 콘크리트 단면의 단면2차반경 중에서 큰 값의 적용등을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 기존의 설계식을 개선하며 두 가지 방법의 설계식을 제안하였으며 이 방법들은 실무 설계에 곧바로 적용될 수가 있다.
공간적 디인터레이싱을 위한 컨텐츠 기반 적응적 보간 기법

본 논문에서는 공간적인 디인터레이싱을 위한 컨텐츠 기반 적응적 보간 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 전처리와 컨텐츠 분석, 컨텐츠에 따른 적응적 보간의 3 단계로 구성된다. 또한 적응적 보간 방식으로써 변형된 에지기반 라인 평균 방식과 그레디언트 기반 방향성 보간, 윈도우 매칭 방식의 세 가지 보간 방식을 제안한다. 각각의 보간 방식은 공간적인 영상 특징에 따라 다양한 성능을 나타낸다. 따라서 각각의 보간할 픽셀 영역은 그레디언트 검출을 통해 영역 특징을 분석하고 네 가지 카테고리로 분류된다. 이러한 분류 결과를 기반으로 각각에 적합한 디인터레이싱 방법을 사용함으로써 최적의 성능을 구현할 수 있다. 다양한 영상에 대한 실험을 통해 제안한 방식이 기존의 방식에 비해 가장 좋은 성능을 보임을 확인하였다. This paper presents a content adaptive interpolation (CAI) for intra deinterlacing. The CAI consists of three steps: pre-processing, content classification, and adaptive interpolation. There are also three main interpolation methods in our proposed CAI, i.e. modified edge-based line averaging (M-ELA), gradient directed interpolation (GDI), and window matching method (WMM). Each proposed method shows different performances according to spatial local features. Therefore, we analyze the local region feature using the gradient detection and classify each missing pixel into four categories. And then, based on the classification result, a different de-interlacing algorithm is activated in order to obtain the best performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the CAI method performs better than previous techniques.

A video stabilization method for in-vehicle front camera is proposed in this paper. The proposed method generates a histogram by projecting vertical edges in the image and then estimates motions via calculating a correlation between consecutive frames. Based on motion information estimated above, the proposed system stabilizes input images. Conventional methods can cause incorrect estimation due to zooming effect. In order to reduce zooming effect, the proposed method uses the area around the vanishing point as ROI for correlation matching. Traffic signs on the road which contribute to zooming effect are removed by using color information. When big objects such as vehicles or bridges comes close to the camera, edges belong to these objects cause false correlation matching. This false matching can be avoided by verifying the value of the correlation coefficient and skipping the frame. In our experiments, The proposed method shows better results compared with conventional methods.

Due to problems of air pollution, fuel consumption regulations of the automotive industry are continuously enhanced. Environmentally friendly vehicles has been released for correspondence such regulations and plug-in hybrid cars are also in the limelight in that. Unlike the existing hybrid vehicle, the control method of the plug-in hybrid vehicle is different, because the distance that can be driven only by the motor increases now. In this paper, we discuss about the methods of control of the blended-mode plug-in hybrid vehicle and are applied to the target vehicle, which is one of optimal control ECMS control strategy. As a result, we propose a control strategy which display the improved fuel economy as compared with the conventional control method.
침전 및 여과를 통한 H 광산배수 내 미세부유물질 및 용해성 중금속의 제거 : 현장실험을 중심으로

Fine suspended solids and soluble heavy metals generated from mine drainage could destroy environment as the aesthetic landscapes, and depreciate water quality. Therefore, this research is focused on process development applied the actual field for controlling fine suspended solids and heavy metals, and so that bench-scale tests were performed for field application based on advanced researches. The field of mine drainage in this research was in H mine located Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do. The inclination plates were mounted 2 kinds of arrangement (octagon and radial types) in circle type settling basin. The inclination plates could be helped to settle of suspended solids; decreased 34% of suspended solids and 50% of turbidity in effluent. Radial type of inclination plates showed the results that is more efficient to settle of suspended solids (average to 3.45 mg/L) compared to octagon type. In the experiments to decrease retention time of mine drainage in settling basin from 6 hrs to 1.5 hrs, suspended solid concentration was exceeded to 30 mg/L as the standard for suspended solid at 10 days after the operation under tha retention time of 3hrs and 1.5hrs. In the tests for filtration, granular activated carbons were indicated the better effective to filtering and absorption of fine suspended solid and soluble heavy metals than anthracite.
