In this paper, I want to focus on the serial novels in newspaper Nasty rain and Mistake written by Shon, Chang-sup. Nasty rain was discovered recently, besides it wasn't perfect as Shon, Chang-sup's first novel. On the other hand Mistake has been regarded ‘the mass of the paper’ not ‘literature’. So two all novels wasn't investigation by people the while, althoug those referenced to ‘an annual report’. Nasty rain was included Shon, Chang-sup's specific character in 1950's novel. For example ‘the cause of disease abnormality’,‘gloomy mood’, ‘images of rain and room’, ‘style of ~is’. Mistake had all features by Shon, Chang-sup's short pieces in 1950's, also the subject and motives were connected serial novels in newspaper in 1960's Consequently this study was to look the literary scene in 1950's to 1960's, so two novels will become known these consciousness. an instance character's self-contempt, cognition of the world through the disavow-consciousness by Nasty rain, and Mistake express to reveal the character's desire through the repetition behavior and what the character think about ‘marriage’. The last was analyzed serial novels in newspaper to release the label ‘a self-portrait in postwar’. 본고에서는 손창섭의 최초작으로 알려진 <얄구진 비>와, 그가 1960년대에 들어 본격적으로 신문연재장편소설로 방향전환을 하기 직전에 쓴 <미스테이크>를 일차적으로 소개하고 작품의 의미를 규명해보는 데 목적을 두고자 한다. 두 작품은 손창섭이 신문에 연재한 단편소설인데, 연보에 언급되어 있음에도 불구하고 연구자들이 이에 대해 집중적인 조명을 하지 않았다. 그 이유로는 <얄구진 비>의 경우 공식적인 등단 이전의 작품이기에 완성도가 떨어진다는 점, <미스테이크>의 경우에는 신문에 연재되었기에 통속적이고 세태적인 작품으로 분류 평가되어 문학의 ‘주변’으로 취급했다는점을 들 수가 있겠다. 그러나 <얄구진 비>에는 1950년대에 손창섭이 발표한 단편소설들의 주된 특징들이 두루 담겨 있어 주목할 만하다. 아울러 <미스테이크>에는1960년대 장편들의 서사에서 발견되는 사건이나 문제들이 담겨 있기에 분석할 가치가 있다. 요컨대 <얄구진 비>에서는 1950년대 초기 비평에서 확인할 수 있는 비정상적인 병인, 우울한 정서, 비와 방의 이미지, ‘~것이다’의 문체적 특성 등이 드러나고, <미스테이크>에서는 1960년대 신문연재장편소설에 등장하는 주제와 모티프, 그리고 서사가 유사하게 연계되어 있기에 주목해야 한다. 따라서 본고에서는 두 작품을 통해 손창섭(작품)의 1950년대와 1960년대의 문학적 풍경을 바라보고자 한다. 이때 <얄구진 비>에서는 인물의 자기모멸의식과 자기 부정을 통한 세계 인식, 그리고 법적 질서에 대한 부정의식이 드러날 것이고, <미스테이크>에서는 인물이 반복적인 행동을 통해서 어떤 식으로 욕망을 표출하고 미끄러지게 하는지, 그리고 남성인물들이여성과의 관계에서 어떤 태도를 취하고, 결혼에 대해 어떠한 생각을 하는지가 드러날 것이다.

포스트 『탁류』로서의 『탁류의 시간』 연구

이 글은 포스트 『탁류』로서의 『탁류의 시간』을 연구하는 데 목적이 있다. 이준호의 『탁류의 시간』은 채만식의 서사를 고스란히 이어받으면서도 이를 확장하는 작품이다. 특히 패러디에서 발생할 수 있는 원전과의 차이와 반복, 그리고 재탄생한 서사를 통해 확인되는 잠재성과 생성 등이 작품 곳곳에 배치가 되어 있다. 그 결과로 몇 가지 유의미한 점이 탁류의 시간에서 도출되었다. 일별하면 시공간의 확장, 역사적 사건 특히 한반도 및 주변국의 전쟁을 기반으로 한 사건의 확장, 새로운 인물의 탄생(출현), 초봉과 승재의 행동 변화, 인물의 악마성과 복수심리가 구체적으로 드러났다. 그러면서도 채만식의 『탁류』를 계승하기 위해 원전의 분위기나 대사, 인물의 형상 등등을 동궤의 선상에 놓았다는 점도 주목해야 했다. 궁극적으로 『탁류의 시간』은 채만식의 『탁류』를 꼼꼼히 읽게 하는 동력으로 작용한 작품이라 하겠다. The purpose of this article is to study the time of Takryu as Post Takryu. Lee Jun-ho"s time of Takryu was a work that expanded the narrative while inheriting Chae Man-sik"s narrative. In particular, there were differences and repetitions from the original that could appear in the parody. And the potential and generation of the re-enacted narrative were found throughout the work. As a result, several characteristics have been found in time of Takryu. The expansion of time and space, especially the expansion of historical events based on war on the Korean Peninsula and neighboring countries., the birth of new characters and changes of Cho-bong and Seung-jae"s behavior, and the demonicity and revenge psychology of the characters were revealed in detail. At the same time, the atmosphere, lines, and figures of the original work were expressed in order to continue Chae Man-sik"s Takryu. Ultimately, time of Takryu was the driving force behind the re-reading of Chae Man-sik"s Takryu.

I began to write this paper from a critical mind about Lee, Byung-joo's novel Kuynbuyeonrakseon that is analyzed just to a kind of ‘historical record' - a record about history, ideology, anticommunism, intellect problem, student soldier experience. Like the Lukács' opinion, literature reflects its society. Therefore, artists cannot help sketching life, art, world and ego generally with honesty to see the world. Kuynbuyeonrakseon shows its character as a documentary or testimony literature. It cannot be denied it is far from the history. Because of this, researchers used to concentrate on identifying the relationship between the text and the external structure - history - so far. However, Kuynbuyeonrakseon is a result from author's memory, so the history can be distorted, processed, or modified. Moreover, because it is an undeniable literary creation from imaginary, an in-depth study about internal structure of the text should be gone along. The bygone researchers have ignored this. Therefore, it is still left unsettled that analyzing the characters of Kuynbuyeonrakseon is inadequate. Thus, in this paper, I am focusing on the inner consciousness of the characters. Especially, focusing on Yoo Tae-rim who shows the aspect of the intellect in the turbulent era, I am about to study his internal consciousness. First, looking Yoo Tae-rim's inner consciousness, I would study which consciousness a character gets and how he acts because of his birth. I am analyzing that unhappiness consciousness and middle man consciousness derived from the birth is connected with original sin consciousness, and it works as a chance for goodboy complex in the end. Finally, I would look at the inner consciousness that seeks for monistic world with conversation. Like above, this text is for confirming the difference from the past interpretations just focused on the relationship between the text and external structure - history. This is meaningful in that makes character analyzing as a center for analyzing Kuynbuyeonrakseon which was aside. 이 글은 이병주의 장편『관부연락선』이 역사, 이데올로기, 반공의식, 지식인 문제, 학병체험, 기록이라고 하는, 일종의 ‘역사의 기록’이라는 측면에 국한되어 해석되고 있는 것에 대해 문제의식을 갖고 출발하게 되었다. 루카치의 언설처럼, 문학은 사회를 반영하기에, 예술가는 세계를 바라보는 정직성으로 삶과 예술, 세계와 자아를 총체적으로 그릴 수밖에 없는 것이다. 『관부연락선』이 기록문학 혹은 증언문학으로서의 속성을 갖추었기에, 따라서 역사와 불가분의 관계에 있음은 주지의 사실이다. 사정이 이러하다 보니 연구자들은 지금까지 작품과 외적구조(역사)와의 관계를 규명하는 데 주력해왔다. 그러나 『관부연락선』은 작가의 기억에 의한 재현의 결과물이기에, 엄밀하게 따지면 작품의 내용적인 측면에서 역사의 왜곡 내지는 가공, 변주가 이루어지기 마련일 터이다. 아울러 상상력에서 비롯된 엄연한 문학적 창조물이기에 인물들의 내면세계에 대한 심도 있는 천착이 병행되어야 한다. 『관부연락선』에 등장하는 인물들에 대한 분석이 미비한 것은 앞으로 풀어야 할 과제로 여전히 남아있다. 따라서 본고에서는 인물의 내면의식을 고찰하는 데 그 목적을 둔다. 특히 격동기 지식인의 면모를 잘 보여주는 인물인 유태림을 중심으로 하여, 그의 내면의식을 고찰하고자 한다. 먼저 유태림의 내면의식을 살핌으로써, 근원적 태생 때문에 인물이 어떠한 의식을 갖게 되고 어떻게 행동하는지를 살필 것이다. 태생에서 비롯된 불행의식과 중간자 의식은 원죄의식과 연결이 되며, 종국에는 굿보이 콤플렉스를 낳게 되는 계기로 작동하였음을 분석할 것이다. 마지막으로, 대화를 통해서 일원론적 세계를 모색하는 인물의 내면의식을 살필 것이다. 이상과 같이, 본고는 작품과 외적구조(역사)의 관계만을 규명하는 데 주력해왔던 기왕의 해석들과 차이를 확인하기 위해서 쓰여졌다. 『관부연락선』에 대한 해석에서 ‘주변’으로 밀려나있던 작중인물 분석을 해석의 ‘중심’으로 끌어올린다면, 논의는 보다 확장되리라 생각한다.

채만식의 몸과 질병 ‒수필을 중심으로‒

Chae, Man-Sik was known as a writer who suffered from numerousdiseases in his life and eventually died of pulmonary tuberculosis. Therefore, this writing tried to combine medical knowledge with his"illness" in his essay. The reason why this writing paid attention to hisessay to understand his disease is that his essay is an effective genrethat reveals his story as a direct statement. Chae, Man-Sik had suffered neurasthenia when he was middle school,and the disease became a chronic disease. As he grew up, he hadsuffered from insomnia,depressive disorder, alcohol dependence, dyspepsia,tinnitus, intercostal neuralgia and pulmonary tuberculosis with his poorlife. Thus, this essay planned from the expectiation that it could help tounderstatnd his body and disesase in detail, unlike the literary ormetaphorical approach to Chae, Man-Sik’s life and disease, by combininghis illness with medical knowldege. Ironically, 'Chae, Man-Sik' and 'disease' are important because hesecured his identity through his weakening body. In other words, hecould communicate between his inner world and the outer through hispainful body and gain insight into life and death. Since there has been nomedical research on his body and disease, this writing can be consideredas a fusion of literature and medicine. The record of Chae, Man-Sik'sdisease was a symbolic or written directly print of the language ofsuffering and despair in reality. 생전에 채만식은 수많은 질병을 앓다가 급기야 폐결핵으로 유명을 달리한작가로 알려졌다. 따라서 본고에서는 그의 수필(잡문)에 나타난, 그가 겪었던‘질병’을 살펴보고자 했다. 특히 채만식의 질병을 이해하기 위해 수필에 주목한 것은 자신의 이야기를 직접적인 진술로 드러내는 효과적인 장르이기 때문이다. 채만식은 중학교 시절부터 신경쇠약으로 고생했으며, 그것이 고질이 되어성장하면서부터 불면증, 우울증, 알코올 의존증, 소화불량(위장병), 이명(환청), 담(늑간신경통), 폐결핵 등에 시달렸다. 이에 본고는 채만식의 삶과 질병을 이해하기 위해 그간 문학적 혹은 은유적으로만 접근해왔던 분석방식과다르게, 실제 그가 앓았던 병들을 의학적 지식과 접목하여 살폈다. ‘채만식’과 ‘질병’이 중요한 이유는 아이러니컬하게도 서서히 병들어가는 몸을 통해 아이덴티티를 확보해가기 때문이다. 다시 말해 아픈 몸을 통해 자기 내적인 세계와 외적인 세계의 소통을 이뤄내고 삶과 죽음에 대한 인식을통찰 가능하게 하기 때문이다. 채만식의 몸과 질병을 의학적으로 바라본 연구는 지금까지 없었기에, 이 논문은 문학과 의학을 접목한 융복합적 결과물이라고도 할 수가 있다. 현실에서 겪는 고통과 절망의 언어가 직설적 내지는상징적으로 활자화된 것이 바로 채만식의 질병에 대한 기록이었다.
