The hybrid composite materials are recently used in many field as an advanced material due to their high resistance to fracture. However, hybrid composite materials have several problems, especially delamination, compared with homogeneous materials such as an aluminum alloy, etc. In this study, we carried out the tensile test to study the tension failure appearances and tensile ultimate strength of CFRP/Al/CFRP hybrid composite materials. The CFRP material used in the experiment is a commercial material known as CU175NS in unidirectional carbon prepreg. Also Al/CFRP/Al hybrid composites with three kind length of a single edge crack were investigated for the relationship between an aluminium volume fraction and a crack length. The crack length was measured by a traveling microscope under a universal dynamic tester. Futhermore the stress intensity factor behavior was examined according to a volume fraction and an initial crack length ratio to a width.

Under longitudinal loading continuous fiber reinforced metal matrix composite(MMC) have interpreted an outstanding performance. However, the applicability of continuous fiber reinforced MMCs is somewhat limited due to their relatively poor transverse properties. Therefore, the transverse properties of MMCs are significantly influenced by the properties of the fiber/matrix interface. In this study, elastic-plastic behavior of transversely loaded unidirectional fiber reinforced metal matrix composites investigated by using elastic-plastic finite element analysis. Different fiber placement(square and hexagon) and fiber volume fractions were studied numerically. The interface was treated as three thin layer (with different properties) with a finite thickness between the fiber and the matrix. The analyses were based on a two-dimensional generalized plane strain model of a cross-section of an unidirectional composite by the ANSYS finite element analysis code.

The aim of this work is conduct the study on light weight and structural performance improvement of the composite windpower blade. GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) pre-empted by CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic), the major material ofwind power blade, was identified the superiority of mechanical performance through the tensile and fatigue test. SENT(Single EdgeNotched Tension) specimen fracture test was conducted on the specimen that laminated together 2 ply CFRP with 4 ply GFRP throughDIC(Digital Image Correlation) analysis. The SENT specimen thickness and a0/W ratio is 1.45 mm and 0.2, respectively. The fracturetest accomplished with displacement control with 0.1 mm/min at the room temperature. The experimental apparatus used for thefracture test consisted of a 50kN universal dynamic tester and CCD camera connected to a personal computer (PC), which was used torecord images of the specimen surface. Following data acquisition, the images and load-displacements were transferred to the PC, onwhich the DIC software was implement. The experiment and DIC analysis results show that CFRP/GFRP laminated composite exhibitsimprovement of the strength, compared with that of the existing blade material. This study shows the result that the strength of CFRProtor blade of wind turbine satisfies through the experimental and DIC method.

The present study was conducted to compare antioxidant activity of Cuscutae Semen, Psoraleae Fructus, Cnidii Fructus and Epimedii Herba by DPPH radical scavenging activity. The extract was studied using diphenyl-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) for DPPH method. DPPH radical scavenging activity was measured after. .10, 20 and 30 minutes. The extract was tested by 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and $1000{\mu}g/ml$ concentrations. The results showed that the extract scavenged DPPH radical with time-dependent manner. Also, the extract showed dose-dependent DPPH radical scavenging activity. The extract of Cuscutae Semen, Psoraleae Fructus, Cnidii Fructus and Epimedii Herba scavenged DPPH radical with the IC50 being 2.7, 3.2, 2.9 and 1.1 mg/ml, respectively. In conclusion, the extract of Epimedii Herba, Cuscutae Semen, Cnidii Fructus and Psoraleae Fructus have antioxidant activity for the treatment of male sterility.

Blades of horizontal axis are nowadays made of composite materials. Generally, composite materials satisfy design provides lower weight and good stiffness, while laminate composites have often damages as like the delamination and cracks at the interface of laminates. The box spar and tail parts of a blade are composed of the CFRP/GFRP hybrid laminate composites. However, delamination and the interfacial crack often occur in the interface of CFRP/GFRP hybrid laminate composites under the mixed mode fracture condition, especially mode I and mode II. Therefore, there is a need for the evaluation of the mixed mode fracture behavior during the delamination of CFRP/GFRP hybrid laminates. This study shows the experimental results for the delamination fracture toughness in CFRP/GFRP hybrid laminate composites. Fracture toughness experiments and estimation are performed by using DMMB(Dissimilar mixed mode bending) specimen. The materials used in the test are a commercial woven type CFRP(Carbon fiber reinforced plastic) prepreg(CF3327) and UD type GFRP(Glass fiber reinforced plastic) prepreg(HD224A). A CFRP/GFRP hybrid laminate composite is composed by the 10 plies CFRP and GFRP prepreg for DMMB. A thickness of CFRP and GFRP layer is 2.5mm and 3.0mm, respectively. Also the fulcrum location which is a loading parameter is changed from 80 to 100mm on the specimen of length 120mm because it defines the ratio of mode I to mode II. In this study, the effects of the fulcrum location are evaluated in the viewpoint of energy release rate in mode I and mode II contribution. The results show that the delamination crack initiates at higher displacement and lower load according to the increase of the fulcrum location ratio. And the variation of the energy release rate for mode I and II contributions for the mode mixity are shown.

We analyzed behavioral patterns of college students and how sociocultural attitudes relating to appearance impact their interest in skin care. Surveys of college students attending Gyeongbuk and Busan Universities were conducted from May 15th to June 23rd, 2017; a total of 461 responses were included in the final analysis. Multiple regression analyses reveal an increase in skin-care interests in students with a higher sociocultural attitude to appearance in Models 1, 2 and 3. In an analysis specific to behavioral patterns, Model 1 revealed that students classified as “Influence” Type were more interested in skin care compared with those classified as “Steadiness” Type. Model 2 revealed that “Influence” and “Conscientiousness” Type students displayed an increased attraction to skin care compared with “Steadiness” Type students. Lastly, in Model 3, students classified as “Conscientiousness” Type revealed a superior interest in skin care compared with “Steadiness” Type students. Thus, sociocultural attitudes relating to appearance among college students are crucial factors impacting interest in skin care. For aesthetic services targeting college students, it seems essential to take relevant school and socioeconomic characteristics into account.
