Renormalization Group Invariance of the Pole Mass in the Multi-Higgs System

We have investigated the renormalization group running of the pole mass in the multi-Higgs theory in two different types of gauge fixing conditions. The pole mass, when expressed in terms of the Lagrangian parameters, turns out to be invariant under the renormalization group with the beta and gamma functions of the symmetric phase.

Cytokine Production by Whole Blood Cells: Relationship to InterleukinGene Polymorphism and Bone Mass

The aims of this study were to investigate the relationships between the production of interleukin-1 (IL-1), and IL-6 system by whole blood cells, and bone mineral den-sity (BMD), and polymorphisms in IL-1 system and IL-6 gene in postmenopausal Korean women. The production of IL-1 , IL-1 , IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra), IL-6, and soluble IL-6 receptor (sIL-6r) by lipopolysaccharide-stimulated whole blood cells was measured by ELISA in 110 subjects. Serum osteocalcin, C-telopeptide of type I collagen, and BMD at lumbar spine and proximal femur were measured. IL-1 C -889 T polymorphism, IL-1 C -511 T polymorphism, 86-base pair variable num-ber tandem repeat polymorphism in the IL-1ra gene, and IL-6 C -634 G polymorphism were analyzed. The production of IL-1 correlated positively with BMD at femoral neck, whereas the production of other ILs did not correlate with BMD at the skele-tal sites examined. No significant differences in the production of ILs were observed among normal, osteopenic and osteoporotic postmenopausal women, and among the different IL system polymorphisms groups studied. No correlation between bone turnover markers and the production of ILs was noted. In conclusion IL-1 may regulate bone metabolism at femoral neck, and the IL system polymorphism do not affect the production of ILs by whole blood cells.

고분자 압전 필름인 PVDF를 이용하여 단일박막과 이층박막의 초음파 변환기에 대해 impulse 응답특성과 AC 펄스에 대한 삽입손실의 주파수 특성을 이론식으로 계산하여 확인하여 보았다. 그 결과 impulse 응답특성은 aluminum을 backing 물질로 하였을 경우 air backing에 비하여 short pulse를 나타내었으며, 단일박막의 변환기가 이층박막에 비하여 short pulse일음 알 수 있었다. 또한 삽입손실을 이용하여 주파수 특성을 조사한 결과 이층 박막의 변환기가 단일박막에 비하여 광대역의 특성을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. We have studied response properties of ultrasonic transducer with multi-layer piezoelectric polymer films [poly (vinylidene fluoride)]. When impulse wave was applied to the ultrasonic transducer, the dependence of the response properties was investigated theoretical calculations. The transducer of one-layer shows short impulse response better than double-layers. When the insertion loss was calculated theoretically to the PVDF multi-layer transducers. The frequency character of double-layer show wideband better than one-layers.

정상 및 불임부부에서의 혈장 동과 아연치에 관한 비교연구

To estimate the influence of plasma copper and zinc concentration on infertility, we measured copper and zinc levels in plasma of 117 infertile women and 14 infertile men by atomic absorption spectrophotometry from January, 1987 through June, 1987 and the results were as follows. 1. The mean plasma copper level was significantly lower in infertile women than in fertile control women while mean plasma zinc level significantly higher in infertile women than in fertile control women. 2. A significant difference in the mean plasma level between infertile women with tubal and endometrial factor and normal controls was noted. 3. The mean level of copper in plasma of azoospermic patients was significantly higher than in fertile control subjects. 4. In fertile control and infertile women, no diurnal and menstrual cyclic variations in plasma zinc and copper levels were present, respectively. Also, there were no significant correlation between plasma zinc and copper levels in all studied group of subjects.

일본의 지사 후보자의 사회적 배경:자민당의 지사 입후보지망자를 중심으로

The paper is to analyze the political power of applicants who desire to be Liberal Democratic Party's nominated candidacy before running for the Prefectural governor election in Japan. Especially, the paper classifies the political power of the Prefectural governor candidacy applicants into two categories and investigates; one is obtained through their personal growth background(home background and educational background), and the other is obtained through their occupational experience. In addition, the paper studies what is each of political power which is owned by five career groups; bureaucrats of the central government, bureaucrats of the local governments, central politicians, local politicians, and public service-unexperienced applicants who all compete for the Prefectural governorship. 이 논문은 일본의 지사선거에 출마하기위해 자민당의 지명후보가 되고자하는 입후보지망자들의 사회적 배경을 분석하여 그들이 가지고 있는 정치적자원은 무엇인지를 고찰하였다. 연구방법은 일본의 돗도리현(鳥取縣), 도야마현(富山縣), 후쿠시마현(福島縣), 그리고 교토부(京都府) 등, 4곳의 광역자치체를 표본 조사하여 연구한 가타오카 마사아키(片岡正昭)씨의 선행연구결과를 주요한 자료로 활용하여, 자민당의 지사후보지망자들의 가정적․교육적 배경과 직업적 배경을 분석하였다. 특히 지사후보자 선고과정에서 중요한 요소로 평가되는 후보지망자의 직업적 배경을 중앙관료, 지방관료, 중앙정치가, 지방정치가, 공직미경험자 등의 다섯 가지 직업군으로 분류하여 검토하였다. 중앙관료는 엘리트교육을 받아 사회적 평가가 높은 그룹으로 자치체의 운영 및 사업보조금과 관련이 깊은 자치성, 농림수산성, 건설성출신이 많다. 보조금과 관련하여 중앙성청(中央省廳))에 대한 그들의 로비능력을 정치적 자원으로 하고 있다. 지방관료 그룹은 오랫동안의 현청(縣廳)근무경험을 통해 정책관리기술을 축적하였고 현청의 상급관리직을 경험하였다. 그들의 정치적자원은 현정(縣政)운영에 대한 정보와 지식, 그리고 현연(縣支部連合會)의 간부와 정치가로부터의 신뢰이다. 중앙정치가는 자신의 후원회를 가지고 있고 당 조직과 지방의회의원들 속에도 지지층을 형성해 두고 있다. 그리고 중앙당과 당내파벌, 중앙성청에도 개인적 네트워크를 형성하고 있으며, 현연의 운영에도 깊이 관여하고 있다. 따라서 스스로가 지사직에 출마하였을 때는 입후보지망자로서 대단히 유리한 위치에 서게 된다. 지방정치가는 출신지역에서의 오랜 정치활동을 통해 현연의 간부 또는 유력자의 지위에 있으며, 지역사회의 지지기반도 어느 정도 갖추고 있다. 그러나 이들은 중앙정치가나 중앙관료에 비해 사회적 네트워크의 폭이 좁다. 공직미경험자는 전문지식인출신과 지역실업가출신으로 구분된다. 전문지식인의 참신성과 실업가의 지역경제에 대한 공헌도가 정치적 자원으로 평가되지만, 후보지망자그룹으로는 지방관료 출신자와 함께 소수그룹으로 분류된다. 이상과 같이 지사후보지망자의 사회적 배경과 경력을 분석한 결과, 중앙관료와 중앙정치가는 중앙정부내의 공적․사적인 네트워크를 통해 중앙성청에 대한 영향력을 행사하고 있으며, 이것이 지사후보자의 정치적 자원으로 높이 평가되고 있음을 알 수 있다.

PECVD법으로 증착된 전자소자용 thiophene 박막의 전기화학적 신뢰성에 관한 연구

The corrosion failure of electronic devices has been a major reliability concern lately. This failure is an ongoing concern because of miniaturization of integrated circuits(IC) and the increased use of polymers in electronic packaging. In this paper plasma-polymerized thiophene films were considered as a possible candidate for an interlayer dielectric for multilever metallization of ultra large scale integrated (ULSI) semiconductor devices. The protective ability of above films as a function RF power in an 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution was examined by electrochemical methods and contact angle measurement. The protective efficiency of the film increased with increasing RF power, which induced the higher degree of cross-linking and hydrophobicity of the films.
