The transesterification reaction between diethanolamine and methyl methacrylate was kinetically investigated in the presence of various metal acetate catalysts at 120℃. The amount of reacted methyl methacrylate was measured by gas chromatography and liquid chromatography, and the reaction rate also measured from the amount of reaction products and reactants under each catalyst. The transesterification reaction was carried out in the first order with respect to the concentration of diethanolamine and methyl methacrylate, respectively. The over-all order is 2nd. The apparent rate constant was found to obey first-order kinetics with respect to the concentration of catalyst. The maximum reaction rate was appeared at the range of 1.4 to 1.6 of electronegativity of metal ions and instability constant of metal acetates.

Vasectomy is widely used as male contraception. There has been controversy about the effects of vasectomy on testicular morphology. Some insist that vasectomy does not alter the testicular morphology, but others persist that it does alter, and still others assert that it may alter. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of vasectomy on testicular morphology. The structures of seminiferous tubules, number of spermatids per tubule and minimal diameter of tubule were measured at intervals up to 6 months after bilateral vasectomy in rats. The structures of seminiferous tubules were different from those of control groups up to 3 months, but were same at 6 months. The number of spermatids per seminiferous tubule and minimal diameter of seminiferous tubule were same as those of control groups until 6 months.

The constant false alarm rate (CFAR) has been widely used in radar systems to detect target echo signals because of its simplicity. With the recent development of different types of neural networks (NNs), NN architecture-based target detection methods are also being considered. Several studies related to NN-based target detectors have introduced multi-layer perceptron-based and convolutional neural network (CNN)-based structures. In this paper, we propose a CNN-based target detection method in frequency modulation (FM)-band passive coherent location (PCL). We improved the detection performance using a maxpooling layer and a Hadamard division layer, which are parallelly placed with a CNN layer. Moreover, in our method there is no need to determine the specific cell configuration (e.g., cell under test, reference cells, and guard cells) because the proposed method obtains the trained kernels by end-to-end learning. We show that the trained kernels help in the extraction of either signal or noise components. Through the simulations, we also prove that the proposed method can yield an improved receiver operating characteristic compared to that of a cell-averaging CFAR detector for FM-band PCL in a homogeneous environment.

Displacement current measuring technique has been applied on the study of monolayers of functional polyimide containing azobenzene derivatives. The displacement current was generated from monolayers on the water surface by monolayer compression and expansion. Displacement current was generated when the area per molecule was about 70A°^2 and 100 A°^2. Displacement currents were investigated in connection with monolayer of long chain alkylamines. It was found that the maximum of displacement current appeared at the molecular area just before the initial rise of surface pressure in compression cycles of polyamic acid and long chain alkylamines.

This study is a survey on the effect of working security and worksite environment connected to the worst case of noise and dust which was generated in the manufacturing workshop of machinery and casting. The noise intensity of the manufacturing process tends to increase up to the limited strength of 90dB (A) or the higher during the last 4∼5 years in 1990∼1994. This result requires a significant improvement of worksite environment of unit workshop. The concentration of dust in the gouging process tends to increase to a significantly high level compared with other worksite, which also requires a local ventilation method to reduce the dust diffusion. Organic solvents used most frequently in the manufacturing process machinery were the aromatic hydrocarbons, but were gradually diversed in recent years.

초도양산단계에서 TDP(Technical Data Package)에 대한 기술변경이 과도하게 발생하고 있다는 지적은 계속되어 왔다. 초도기술변경은 양산 시 여러 가지 손실을 초래한다. 양산 시 발생하는 손실을 방지하기 위하여 기술변경의 사례를 면밀히 분석하였다. 2010~2013년 양산과제 중 사업부분별 대표과제 3개를 선정/확인 결과 전체 TDP에서 도면의 결함이 91%를 차지하였으며, 도면 단순오기, 규격오류가 기술변경 중 가장 많은 부분을 차지하고 있었다. 결과적으로 기술변경에 의한 손실을 줄이기 위해서는 개발단계에서 선행하여 도면의 품질을 관리하는 것이 가장 중요한 것으로 판단하였다. 개발도면의 품질관리를 위해 도면결함 유형에 연계되는 원인을 검토한 결과 고객 요구사항 상이, 개발자(협력사 포함) 숙련도, 교육제도(방법), 형상확인 프로세스 등에 결함의 발생빈도가 영향을 받는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 문제를 근본적으로 해결하기 위해 조직, 시스템, 프로세스, 도면작성 TOOL, TDP교육 등의 분야로 나누어 도면품질 개선을 위한 활동을 수행 하였다. 개선활동은 2017~2019년 상반기까지 진행하였으며, 개발단계에서 도면검토를 전문적으로 수행하는 조직을 신설하고 도면 릴리즈 및 검토체계를 새롭게 구축하였으며 형상확인 활동을 강화하고 협력사 도면교육 체계 정립 및 Auto-CAD 편의기능 개발을 수행 하였다. 이상의 활동에 대해서 초도양산단계에서의 기술변경률이 약 3배 감소한 것으로 효과성을 검증하였고 지속적으로 개선활동을 전개하고 결과를 모니터링 하는 것으로 결정 하였다. 지속적 개선활동을 통해 기술변경을 감소시키고 투입되는 연구원들의 공수를 절감하여 본연의 설계업무에 더욱 집중할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
