        봉독 추출물(F1, F3)의 랫드에 대한 단회 및 4주 반복 피하 투여 독성시험

        This study was performed to evaluate single and repeated-dose toxicities of Bee Venom Extracts (F1, F3) in Spraque-Dawley. F1 was injected subcutaneously to rat at dose levels of 0, 0.0002, 0.002, 0.02 mg/kg/day for single-dose toxicity study and repeated-dose toxicity study. F3 was injected subcutaneously to rat at dose level of 0, 0.003, 0.03, 0.3 mg/kg/day for single-dose toxicity study and repeated-dose toxicity study. In both studies, there were no dose related changes in mortality, clinical sign, body weight change, food and water consumption, opthalmoscopy, organ weights, urine analysis, biochemical examination, and hematological findings of all animals treated with Bee Venom (F1, F3). Gross and histopathological findings revealed no evidence of specific toxicity related to Bee Venom (F1, F3). These results suggest that the subcutaneous NOEL (No Observed Effect Level) of Bee Venom (F1, F3) may be over F1 - 0.02 mg/kg, F3 - 0.3 mg/kg.

        Comparison of Saccharina japonica–Undaria pinnatifida Mixture and Minoxidil on Hair Growth Promoting Effect in Mice

        Background Algae have traditionally been used for promotion of hair growth. Use of hair regrowth drugs, such as minoxidil, is limited due to side effects. The aim of this study was to examine a mixture of Saccharina japonica and Undaria pinnatifida (L-U mixture) on hair growth and to compare the promoting effect of hair growth by a 3% minoxidil and a L-U mixture. Methods To evaluate the hair growth-promoting activity, saline, 50% ethanol, 3% minoxidil, and the L-U mixture were applied 2 times a day for a total of 14 days on the dorsal skin of C57BL/6 mice after depilation. Analysis was determined by using a high-resolution hair analysis system, real-time polymerase chain reaction, and H&E staining. Results On day 14, the hair growth effect of the L-U mixture was the same as that of the 3% minoxidil treatment. The L-U mixture significantly (P<0.05) stimulated hair growth-promoting genes, as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and insulin-like growth factor -1. Increase of VEGF was observed in the L-U mixture group compared with minoxidil and the negative control. In contrast, the L-U mixture suppressed the expression of transforming growth factor-β1, which is the hair loss-related gene. In histological examination in the L-U mixture and minoxidil groups, the induction of an anagen stage of hair follicles was faster than that of control groups. Conclusions This study provides evidence that the L-U mixture can promote hair growth in mice, similar to the effect from minoxidil, and suggests that there is potential application for hair loss treatments.

        ≪삼국유사≫ 설화의 스토리텔링 전환 방안 연구

        Park, ki-soo. 2007. Study on Strategy to Adapt Tale of ≪Samgukyusa≫ for Storytelling. This article aims at researching strategy to adapt tales of ≪Samgukyusa≫ (Overlooked Historical Records of the Three Korean Kingdoms) for storytelling of cultural contents. The tale is very important as original source of storytelling in cultural contents. The reasons are as follows. 1) It is the result filtered by current suitability and sentimental universality through successive generations. 2) It can guarantee excellent quality. 3) It delivers story based on performance with orality. 4) It can have readers feel comfortably as it develops the story with conventional custom. 5) The principle can be understood, which is based on structural, mental, social universality. 6) It is easy to adapt totally or partially. The ≪Samgukyusa≫ is the treasure of cultural archetype as original source of cultural contents, which reflects and inflects overall aspects of life based on cultural identity. It is the matter how we can develop and adapt it effectively, so that we can make it cultural contents to lead the new era of oral statement. The strategies can be developed to adapt for storytelling with ≪Samgukyusa≫ in followed cases. 1) The case of adaptation with it as the central material. 2) The case of utilizing its structure and material partially. 3) The case of utilizing it as an archetype to solve the current problem. It matters that those can't be accomplished by natural demand with generalizing cultural identity, simple discussion which considers it as just material, and the separate thoughts, which reduces the study to ≪Samgukyusa≫, tales, cultural contents, and storytelling. The various plans with strategic access should be researched continuously as original source of storytelling in cultural contents, we creating value of ≪Samgukyusa≫ consistently.

        LiNiO_2의 합성 최적조건 확립 및 과량의 리튬함량과 Al 도핑이 전기화학적 특성에 미치는 영향

        졸-겔법을 이용하여 LiNiO_2, Li_(1+x)NiO_2(x=0.00-0.05) 및 LiAl_yNi_(1-y)O_2 (y=0.00-0.3)을 합성하였다. 우수한 전기화학적 성능을 보이는 LiNiO_2를 합성하기 위해 금속이온에 대한 아디프산의 몰비의 영향, 리튬의 함량, Al의 도핑의 영향을 실험하였다. 그 결과 합성된 LiNiO_2는 아디프산과 총 금속이온의 몰비가 1.0일때 우수한 결정 특성을 나타내었다. 겔 전구체가 분해되는 동안 발생하는 기체를 분석할 결과 LiNiO_2,의 결정성을 향상시키는데 산소가 매우 중요한 역할을 하는 것을 관찰하였다. 합성한 Li_(1+x)NiO_2는 모두 전형적인 층상구조를 나타내었으나 리튬함량이 증가하면 전기화학적 특성이 저하됨을 관찰할 수 있었다. Al을 도핑한 시료는 도핑되지 않은 LiNiO_2보다 초기용량은 낮지만 우수한 사이클 특성을 나타내었다. Al 도핑된 Li_Al_yNi_(1-y)O_2는 고온에서도 전기화학적 특성이 우수함을 관찰할 수 있었다. LiNiO_2, Li_(1+x)NiO_2(x=0.00-0.05) and LiAl_yNi_(1-y)O_2 (y=0.00-0.3) powers were synthesized using a sol-gel method. To synthesize LiNiO_2 with a good electrochemical performance, the experiments were carried out as function of the molar ratio of adipic acid to total metal ions, excess Li content, and Al doping. The synthesized LiNiO_2 powders showed a good crystal quality when the molar ratio of adipic acid to total metal ions was 1.0. The analysis of gas composition evolved during the decomposition of gel precursors revealed that oxygen played an important role in improving the crystal quality of LiNiO_2 powders. All the prepared Li_(1+x)NiO_2 powders had a typical LiNiO_2 layered structure, but the electrochemical performance was degraded with the increasing the lithium content. Al-doped LiAl_yNi_(1-y)O_2 powdwers were better than LiNiO_2 powders in cyclicality though it showed a low initial discharge capacity. The Al doped LiAl_yNi_(1-y)O_2 powders presented a good electrochemical performance even at higher temperatures.

        In vitro neuronal and osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells from human umbilical cord blood

        Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the capabilities for self-renewal and differentiation into cells with the phenotypes of bone, cartilage, neurons and fat cells. These features of MSCs have attracted the attention of investigators for using MSCs for cell-based therapies to treat several human diseases. Because bone marrowderived cells, which are a main source of MSCs, are not always acceptable due to a significant drop in their cell number and proliferative/differentiation capacity with age, human umbilical cord blood (UCB) cells are good substitutes for BMCs due to the immaturity of newborn cells. Although the isolation of hematopoietic stem cells from UCB has been well established, the isolation and characterization of MSCs from UCB still need to be established and evaluated. In this study, we isolated and characterized MSCs. UCB-derived mononuclear cells, which gave rise to adherent cells, exhibited either an osteoclast or a mesenchymal-like phenotype. The attached cells with mesenchymal phenotypes displayed fibroblast-like morphologies, and they expressed mesenchymal-related antigens (SH2 and vimentin) and periodic acid Schiff activity. Also, UCB-derived MSCs were able to transdifferentiate into bone and 2 types of neuronal cells, in vitro. Therefore, it is suggested that the MSCs from UCB might be a good alternative to bone marrow cells for transplantation or cell therapy.

        신상(紳商)으로서의 광동행상(廣東行商) 이화행(怡和行) 오병감(伍秉鑒)(1769~1843)

        本文记叙了伍秉鉴作为一個绅商的形象。 首先注意到的是伍秉鉴多次通过捐献或寄附因贸易而积累起的庞大财富的方法获得了绅士地位的事实。 伍秉鉴被授衔从二品布政使, 通过这样绅士地位的获得, 他本人也逐渐有了作为绅士的自我意识。在地方社会中绅士层为了获得民众对其绅士地位的公认, 都要做许多符合其士绅地位的努力。 伍秉鉴所做的符合其绅士地位的努力是对清廷捐输或对民间社会进行捐赠和贡献。 以前学者推算在鸦片战争之前70年间, 清代行商向官府的捐输额数最高为937万两, 但是笔者通过对多方资料的仔细比对后认为捐輸额数超过了1, 353.7万两。 其中做为解决内忧外患的军事费捐輸最多, 额数高达789万两, 占到了全体总额数的58%。 此外治水事业或救济贫民的费用, 为皇帝或高官准备礼物的费用等也是捐献的主要名分。 其中怡和行的捐献额数据推算约有369万两以上, 在所有行商中是向官府捐献最多的一家。 在伍秉鉴主持怡和行时期约向官府捐献358萬两以上, 占了全体行商捐献额数的3成。 被记载为"善賈"的伍秉鉴也向民间社会进行了相当多的捐献, 并做出了多样的社会贡献。 或是为了稳定广东的米价而参与到印度米的進口活动中, 或是参与到广州的水利与教育设施(书院)的建设事业中来。 伍秉鉴家族还多次为珠江三洲农业生产的基础桑园围的修建与修理提供资金, 并为救助广东饥民捐款。当然以上的活动不仅仅只限于怡和行。 接下来通过讨论伍秉鉴的行为与活动来揭示其对西洋近代文明的理解与认识。伍秉鉴为了防备火灾从英国购入新式灭火器的行动, 成为由在广州活动的西洋医生成立的中国医学传教士学会的永久会员的行动, 购买美国近代式军舰并捐献给当局的事实, 以及向美国企业投资等等都是对西洋文明没有很深理解与认识的人所很难做出来的事情。通过这样的行为来看, 可以知道其对近代文明具有一定的认识与理解。 伍秉鉴为了救济因牛痘感染而备受煎熬的民众, 为1805年传到广州的詹纳((Edward Jenner)牛痘法的扎根与普及募集了基金。同时, 为了广东民众的眼科治疗, 伍秉鉴免费为伯驾(Peter Parker)提供医院建筑以帮助其开设眼科医院。这些都成了中国医疗发展的重要契机。这样的行为确实都是伍秉鉴社会贡献的一个方面。这样的行为都是对西洋文明没有很深认识与理解的人所不能够做出来的。从这点来看伍秉鉴与当时的传统商人不同, 可以说已经具备了一定的近代面貌。 从伍秉鉴等广东行商几乎绝大部分通过捐纳和捐献来获得绅士的地位或官衔这点来看, 这可以被认为是将广东行商定义为绅商的一个必要条件。但是这样的现象并不仅仅出现在广东行商之中。鸦片战争之前的盐商及其他富商等通过捐纳取得绅士学位或官位的商人也可以被认为是绅商。清末辛亥革命以前的绅商在时代气息下具有向往近代的价值观。笔者认为要想被认定为真正的绅商必须具备向往近代的价值观这一充分条件。广东的行商在与西洋商人的日常交往中逐渐深化了对西洋文明的理解和认识并积极引进或接受一部分西方文明。这点应当看作是其与鸦片战争以前的盐商或是其他富商们的区别。而且通过这點亦能把广东商人看作是清末绅商阶层的起源与雏形。
