        The effect of chitosan in soybean koji preparation and characteristics of chitosan-koji were investigated. Aspergillus oryzae KCTC 6096 and Aspergillus kawachii KCCM 11458 was used for koji preparation. a-Amylase activity of soybean koji prepared with 0.25% 10cp chitosan was excellent relative to 30 cp chitosan and 1.6 times higher than non-added soybean koji. Acid and neutral protease activities of soybean koji prepared with 0.25%, 10 cp chitosan were showed simillary higher value than non-chitosna added koji. The period of koji preperation was reduced 30% by adding chitosan.

      • Ku 밴드 안테나 급전 시스팀 설계

        In this paper, design of the antenna feed system for Ku-band is presented by TEmn χ mode theory. The antenna feed system consists of diplexer combined with transmitting filter and receiving filter, OMT( Othogonal Mode Transducer) and polarizer. These filters are designed by the insertion loss method which is applied to the mode matching method. Matching elements in the inner waveguide set to reduce mismatching conditions on the discontinuity imposed by T-junction. so that a diplexer is optimized and has the best property. The optimum filter appeared characteristics that reflected power is about -2OdB in the receiving and the transmitting passband. The differential phase shift of the corrugated polarizer combined with OMT achieved 90° ± 1° within 14.0 - 14.5GHz frequency-band. The maximum VSWR is only about 1.02 and axial ratio(AR) is about 1.01. The designed feed system has suitably separated between the polarized wave and the frequency bandwidth.

      • 홍국균의 최적배양조건에 관한 연구

        Cell growth and pigment productivity of Monascus anka KCCM 11832 and Monascus sp. has isolated from the Korean Maeju(soybean koji) were determined for effect of culture medium composition and incubation conditions. Increase of NH₄NO₃, and KH₂PO₄ concentration as mineral source promoted mycelium growth, and the highest cell growth was showed in the medium with 0.05% KH₂PO₄ when C/N ratio is 20:1, but pigment production was significantly inhibited at higher concentration than this level. Cell growth and pigment production in porato dextrose medium were higher than those in czapeck-dox broth and malt extract medium. In terms of temperature, the highest cell growth was showed at 34℃, but pigment productivity was the highest at 26℃.

      • 중학교 과학 교과서(화학 영역) 비교 분석

        The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the current science textbooks (chemical domain) of the middle school (newly compiled science textbooks in the sixth curriculum) and the former science textbooks (according to the fifth curriculum). The results are as follows : The revised science curriculum put emphasis on strengthening investigation activities, decreasing the quantity of study and introducing interesting contents. The newly compiled science textbook (chemical domain) of the middle school are more improved in terms of the contents and the composing structure than the former textbooks. But, it does not fully reflect the fundamental purpose of the sixth curriculum and leaves much to be satisfied as a textbook for an investigation. Therefore, it is necessary to improve desirably science curriculum and study continuously for compilation of an effective textbook.

        현재까지의 전통적인 항정신병약물은 음성증상에는 거의 효과가 없었고, 양성증상에만 효과가 있었으며, 그마저도 약 30-40%의 환자들에서는 치료적인 효과가 없었다. 또한 추체외로 증상이나 지발성 운동장애 등의 부작용이 많았다. Olanzapine은 이와 같은 기존의 전형적인 항정신병 약물의 제한점이 크게 개선된 약이며 clozapine과는 달리 무과립구증을 유발하지 않으므로 현재 임상적으로 기대가 크다. Olanzapine은 세로토닌 5-HT2A/C, 도파민 D1, D2, D3, D4, 무스카린M1-5, 아드레날린 alphal, 히스타민 H1수용체에 친화도가 높다. 세로토닌 5-HT2 차단작용이 도파민 D2 차단작용보다 강하여 추제외로 증상의 빈도가 적고 지발성 운동장애의 위험이 적다. 항콜린성 작용과 세로토닌 5-HT2A/C 수용체에 대한 길항작용, 상대적으로 약한 D2길항작용으로 양성 증상 뿐만 아니라 음성증상에도 유의한 효과가 있다. Olanzapine의 주된 대사 경로는 cytochrome P-450-CYPIA2, flavincontaining monooxigenase(FMO 3 system), N-glucuronidation이며, 그외에도 cytochrome P-450-CYP2D6, CYP2C19등으로도 대사가 되기 때문에 어느 한가지 효소에 의해 대사나 약력학이 영향을 받지 않으므로 약물 상호작용도 적다. Olanzapine은 정신분열증의 양성과 음성증상에 모두 효과가 있고 장기 유지치료에도 효과가 있다. 또한 치료불응성 정신분열증에도 치료효과가 있다는 보고들이 있다. 또 정신분열증 뿐만 아니라 분열정동장애, 정신분열양 장애, 양극성 장애, 물질 유도성 정신병적 장애에 모두 사용 가능하다. 용량은 5-20㎎이 추천된다. 치료후 첫 3-6개월에 양성, 음성증상의 호전이 있고 대개는 1년에 고평부(plateau)에 이른다. 그래서 최소 6개월은 사용후 그 효과를 판단해야 한다. Traditional antipsychotics have lack of efficacy in 30% to 40% of patients with schizophrenia, lack of efficacy in the treatment of negative symptoms of psychosis, and are primarily effective in ameliorating the positive symptoms of schizophrenia. Also these agent have a number of side effects, such as extrapyramidal symptoms and tardive dyskinesia. Olanzapine is new drug that has much difference from traditional antipsychotics in view of these limitations of traditional antipsychotics and is spared some of clozapine's major difficulties, such as agranulocytosis. olanzapine has affinity for serotonin 5-HT2A/C receptors, dopamine D1, D2, D3, D4 receptors, muscarinic M1-5 receptors, adrenergic alpha1 receptors, histamine H1 receptors. Olanzapine's ability for blockade of serotonin 5-HT2 receptor is greater than it's ability for blockade of dopamine D2 receptors and olanzapine has low incidence of extrapyranmidal symotoms and low risk for developing tardive diskinesia. Olanzapine also has anticholinergic effect and antagonist actions for serotonin 5-HT2A/C receptor, relatively weak antagonistic actions for dopamine D2 receptor, so olanzapine has significant efficacy for not only positive symptoms but also negative symptoms. The most important pathways for olanzapine metabolism are cytochrome P450-CYP1A2, flavin-containing monooxigenase(FMO 3 system),N-glucuronidation. Minor pathways include cytochrome P450-CYP2D6, CYP2C19. Olanzapine has minimal drug interaction due to it's multiple metabolic pathways. Olanzapine has efficacy for both positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia, long-term maintenace treatment. Olanzapine also has efficacy for treatment refractory schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, schizophreniform disorder, bipolar disorder, substance induced psychotic disorder. Recommended does are 5-20㎎/day. We should decide for effectiveness for olanzapine after using 1 year, since improvements in positive and negative symptoms seen in the first 3 to 6 months often plateaued within 1 year.

        경북북부지역 재배한약재와 토양의 중금속 함량

        The concentration of heavy metal were studied for the estimation of quality in herbal medicines which is Bupleuri Radix, Paeoniae Radix, Dioscoreae Rhizoma and Astragali Radix in products of north Gyeongbuk area. And we collected soils from several area in Gyeongbuk, and determined heavy metal concentration of soils by ICP. We compared with herbal medicines in products of Gyeongbuk and their soils. For the heavy metals contents of Gyeongbuk area, in Gong Jung Ri, represented the higher level, it may be due to a near the road. The Cd contents in soil was not a wide difference. For the As and Pb contents in soil, Song Sa Ri (Bupleuri Radix) represented the higher level (0.68mg/kg, 1523mg/kg). Heavy metal contents in cultured herbal medicines and their soils did not give reproducible results. But the degree of correlation between a few heavy metal contents of Dioscoreae Rhizoma and their soil showed the good transfer from the soil.

      • 제6차 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 화학Ⅱ 교과서의 STS 내용분석

        Science-Technology-Society (STS) educational system has been concerned with a reform in science education as a new direction and goal. The goal of STS education is to develop students who can understand how science, technology, and society are interrelated. and use this knowledge in everyday decision making. In Korea, STS was introduced in the Fifth Curriculum and more emphasized in the Six Curriculum. The major purpose of this study are to examine how many page are alloted to the STS material in each chapters of seven different high school ChemistryⅡ textbooks, compiled in accordance with Sixth Curriculum, to compare and analyze the contents of STS materials by chapters, subject and category of activity, and to check up how many materials relevant to STS are included in those textbooks. 1. In the chapters of those textbooks the STS materials are alloted from 1.2% to 4.2%, on the average 2.7% of all page. This percentage of the STS materials is the less than half of that of NSTA. Trying to approach of STS to questions, reading materials etc, it leaves much to be desired in development of the body of the text. 2. By chapters, 3.8% of the STS materials are included in chapter "Chemical bond and Compound", 3.2% in "Atomic Structure and Periodic", 2.2% in "State and Solution of materials and 1.9% in "Material Science".. We can see that the percentage of STS materials is the highest in "Chemical bond and Compound". 3. STS materials are analyzed by STS topics by Piel, 33.7% of STS materials are the topics on effects of technological developments, 27.5% on environmental problem and utilization of natural resources, 19.6% on human engineering 13.8% on sociology of science, and nothing on population, and space research and national defense. 4. The topics on energy are included in "Chemical Bond and Compound" and "Chemical Reaction" chapter. Issue regarding human engineering, environment problem, and technological developments and their effects are included in "Chemical Bond and Compound". And the topics on sociology of science are mostly explained in "Atomic Structure and Periodic" and "Chemical Reaction". 5. STS materials are analyzed by using SATIS activities. Most of these activities are research studies, case studies, study devices and organized discussions and no role plays.

        심초음파로 결정된 응급 심낭천자술의 천자부위

        Background: The aim of this study was to determine whether the conventional subcostal approach is suitable for emergency pericardiocentesis in patients with cardiac tamponade or impending cardiac tamponade. Methods: This study was a prospective, observational study conducted at the emergency department of a tertiary hospital, Patients who had symptomatic pericardial effusion and who needed emergency pericardiocentesis in the emergency department were included in this study. We measured the epicardium-to-pericardium distance at the subcostal, parasternal, and apical area with two-dimensional echocardiography to determine the appropriate puncture site for pericardiocentesis. An epicardium-to-pericardium distance of more than 1.0 cm was considered as the primary safety factor in determining the Puncture site for pericardiocentesis. The skin-to-pericardium distance was considered as secondary safety factor. Results: Ninety-five consecutive patients(55 males and 40 females; total mean age: 53 year old) with cardiac tamponade or impending cardiac tamponade were enrolled in this study. The puncture site for pericardiocentesis, as determined by echocardiography, was the subcostal area in 43 patients(45%), the apical area in 40 patients(42%), the left parasternal area In 11 patients(12%), and the right parastemal area in one patient(1%). Pericardiocentesis failed in 2 patients(2%) with the subcostal approach and in one patient(1%) with the apical approach. The average epicardium-to-pericardium distance was 31 ±21 mm in patients with the subcostal approach and 21±8 mm in patients with other approaches. There were no differences in the amount of pericardial fluid and in the intraperical pressure among patient groups according to puncture site. There were two procedure related complications: a puncture of the right ventricle with the subcostal approach and a ventricular tachycardia with the apical approach.
