        In 1980’s, Korean universities have experienced a rapid growth especially in their population. But, as for their physical settings, there only be paid attentions to the spaces for lecture. This means a strict suffice to the “Ordinance for University Installation Standards”. But the purpose for the ordinance is not there, giving a legal validity for a minimum facility. The ordinance should be a creative guideline for the physical settings for a better university education. In these basis mentioned above, this study aims to analyze the ordinance, to make a new concept for the university education facilities, and to propose some amendments for suitable campus settings.

        Small-sized shipyards have a little competitive power compared with large-sized shipyards with respect to technology. Especially in west-south zone there are lots of small-sized shipyards but most of them have weak technology compared with east-south zone. In this study, the state of technology of several small-sized shipyards in west-south zone is investigated two times concerning about computerization and automation, From the investigated data several items to increase the rate of computerization and automation are proposed.

      • 캠퍼스 외부공간의 개선방안에 관한 연구 : 목포대학교 도림캠퍼스를 대상으로

        For the purpose of reconsidering the spatial structure in University campus, this study was carried out. Namely, in this study, we investigated whether the open-space in campus was to be compatible for the purpose and a designer's intention by the analysis and to examine the present conditions. As the result of these estimation, it was to propose the improvement method of open-space in campus. Research content and results were as follows. It was carried out the analysis of the land utilization and space arrangement at first stage and to examine the problems and present conditions in open-space at second stage. Based on the alteration planning, at 3rd stage, we propose the open-space planning on the assumption that an expansion planning will be advance. Finally, we also propose the proposal of open-space in Torim campus which has to reconsidering for the necessity of overall modification and partial supplementation.

      • 발전소 디지털 제어계통의 신뢰도 평가기술에 대한 고찰

        As applications of digital system are increasing in nuclear power industry, there are increasing on importance of their reliability assessment. This paper describes definition, analysis methods and procedure of reliability for digital system in terms of hardware. The reliability analysis is classified as qualitative method and quantitative method. This paper presents a representative qualitative method, FMEA, and three quantitative methods, Reliability Block Diagram, Fault Event Trees, Markov state Transition Method, which can be applicable in power plant. The comparisons of three quantitative methods are presented for analyst to select a suitable method according to environments of applications. The procedure is also presented for systematic safety and reliability analysis of digital system. Each step of the procedure is described in terms of objective, necessity, method and consideration.

      • PCB 조립공정의 성능향상을 위한 자동계수기 개발

        In this paper, we present an automatic PCB counting system which can automatically count the PCBs in assembling process and store the results in computer to be used as the data base of production managerment. The system is composed of optical sensors, a PC interface board, a PC and DB program. The optical sensors which are located at upside and downside of the PCB assembling line send the signal to the computer when the PCB is passing through the sensor position. The DB stored in the computer can be searched according to the production date or the PCB models. The experimental results show that the developed counting system can lead to the performance improvement of PCB assembling process by reduction of employes and automation of production management.

        In the present study, structure and foundation were analyzed to examine structural safety. Durable materials and careful maintenance may increase the structural safety and life and therefore lasting maintenance and control for the old structures and in the construction phase, quality control and assurance of materials are required.

      • Mechanical Alloying Effect on the Formation of the YBa_2Cu_3O_7-δ Superconducting Oxides

        Two constituent elements Ba and Y in the high-Tc superconductiong YBa2Cu3O7-∂ compound are characterized by a positive heat of mixing and insoluble with each other even in the liquid state. Whether or not an atomic level mixing or the formation of an amorphous phase is feasible by mechanical alloying is tested in the Y-Ba-Cu-(O) system, using defferent starting materials. It turned out that a choice of metallic mombinations, regardless of if they are those of intermetallics CuY and CuBa or pure elements. Y, Ba and Cu, results in an amorphous phase, though its yield delicately depends on milling conditaions. We also found that a transformation rate into the superconducting 123-phase, when subjected to the subsequent heat treatment in oxygen-flowing atmosphere, is much higher for the partially amorphous metallic powders than for the oxide powders processed under the same milling and heat treatment conditions.

      • 방 안에서의 가스연료 누출에 관한 연구

        Explosion caused by the leak of gaseous fuel is a serious problem today. To avoid the accident, safe depletion of the leaked fuel is very important. Depletion of leaked fuel by ventilation through windows of room was studied numerically. It is found that the role of recirculation flow between main stream and fuel layer is very important. This flow moves from the location near intake window to that of exhaust window repeatedly and enhances the mass transfer of fuel to vetilation stream. Height of intake window causes fast exhaust of fuel is low. Initially, volume of ignitable mixture is large for the case of high windows, but this volume becomes large for the case of low intake window at the later time.

      • 비선형 Kelvin모델에 따른 타이어 내부의 열발생률 예측에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to present the basic work of finding heat built-up characteristics in the under cyclic load during the running of vehicle by analyzing the heat generation and temperature distribution of a rubber specimen subjected to rotational bending. Heat generation rates are obtained from the nonlinear viscoelastic Kelvin model. Temperature distributions are obtained by solving the heat conduction equation numerically. Also, the heat transfer coefficient is obtained by using an aluminum fin which has the same geometry as the rubber specimen. As a result, the experimental and theoretical temperature distributions with time and with the number of revolutions show good agreements.

      • 다중 특징의 반복 분석에 의한 퍼지 분류기

        A fuzzy classifier which needs various analyses of features using genetic algorithms is proposed. The fuzzy classifier has a simple structure, which contains a classification part based on fuzzy logic theory and a rule generation part using genetic algorithms. The rule generation part determines optimal fuzzy membership functions and inclusion or exclusion of each feature in fuzzy classification rules. We analyzed recognition rate of a specific object, then added finer features repetitively if necessary to the object which has large misclassification rate. And we introduce repetitive analyses method for the minimum size of strings and population, and for the improvement of recognition rates. This classifier is applied to three examples of the classification of iris data, the discrimination of thyroid gland cancer cells and the recognition of confusing handwritten and printed numerals, each sample numeral is classified into one of the groups which are diveded according to the sample structure. The fuzzy classifier proposed in this paper has recognition rates of 98.67% for iris data, 98.25% for thyroid gland cancer cells and 96.3% for confusing handwritten and printed numerals.
