      • A subpopulation of cancer stem cells identifies radiographic characteristics in glioblastoma

        <P>Cancer stem cells (CSCs), defined by CD133 expression, harbor heterogeneous subpopulations of cells, including endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs). This study aimed to investigate whether a subpopulation of CSCs could affect the radiographic characteristics of glioblastoma. Tissue samples from 10 patients newly diagnosed with glioblastoma were selected according to the radiographic characteristics of their tumors. The patients were divided into two groups based on preoperative magnetic resonance imaging demonstrating contrast enhancement, necrosis and infiltrative patterns: the enhancement/necrosis group (E/N, n=5) and the non-enhancement/infiltration group (NE/I, n=5). Flow cytometry was used to assess the CSCs while immunohistochemistry was used to study microvessel density and the proliferation index. The EPC (CD34<SUP>+</SUP>/CD133<SUP>+</SUP>) fraction in CSCs (CD133<SUP>+</SUP>) was larger in the NE/I group. However, there was little difference in the angiogenic activity assessed using microvessel density between the two groups. The proliferation index (assessed using the antibody Ki-67) was higher in the E/N group and was negatively correlated with the EPC fraction. The non-EPC (CD34<SUP>−</SUP>/CD133<SUP>+</SUP>) fraction is a major factor responsible for radiographic characteristics of contrast enhancement, thus establishing an association between a subpopulation fraction of CSCs and radiographic characteristics in glioblastoma. Therefore, the simple non-invasive assessment of studying contrast enhancement lesions in glioblastomas may be used to estimate CSC subpopulations.</P>

From experimentally carried out "Sports events Choosing System" not as usual be inforced "Total practical Skill System", Following Positive effects and sujestions were Presented; 1. "Sports events choosing system" gave birth to more students' interesting and more voluntary participation to the sports events they chose, and sports skill and instruction level was elevated due to charge of expert according to each sports events. This system would be managed continuously hereafter for it related to life sports. 2. This System needs to closed cooperations between College and Community, for the facilities of community are utilized by college. 3. To complete the plan for activation of college Physical Education, additionally, the successional study ; namely "autonomous extracurricular sports activity" should be excuted hereafter.

      • Developpe devant 수행시 지향각(Orientation angles)을 이용한 골반과 하지의 신체정렬

        The purpose of this study was to persnet proper alignment of pelvis and lower extremity using orientation angles during a developpe devant. Data were collected by Kwon3D program. Two females professional modern dancer were participated in this experiment. Subjects performed a developpe devant in meddle heights(about 90 deg.) The results were as follows: First, in axes of X, pelvis, left thigh, left shank were aligned from 0° to 3° and left foot was aligned from 92° to 94°. Second, in axes of Y, pelvis(-ll°~-8°), left thigh(-6°~-2°), left shank(5°~8°), left foot(12°~18) were aligned. Third, in axes of Z, pelvis(5°~10°), left thigh(-20°~-15°), left shank(27°~32°), left foot(7°~10) were aligned.

      • 배드민턴 국가대표 남자단식 경기의 타구방향 분석 : 외국 우수선수와의 비교

        The purpose of this study was to analyze men's single game using stroke direction of Korean national badminton men's player. Six games with 5 foreign top badminton single game players and six games with 4 Korean badminton single game players were analyzed using video tape. The results were as follows: Korean players showed the tendencies that they tried to stroke more under clear than hairpin against short service. They tried to stroke more smash than clear against long service during the single game. Korean players showed the tendencies that they tried to stroke more back area than hairpin in the front area against hairpin of foreign player. But Korean and foreign players showed the tendencies that they tried to stroke more hairpin than under clear against drop shot. Both Korean and foreign players showed the tendencies that they tried to stroke more cutting than long receive against smash. In conclusion, Korean single game players must try more accurate and diverse net playings. The Korean players showed we weak points in the stroke directions in comparison with the top players in the world and these weak points can be eliminated through science-based training.

        Sol-Gel 법에 의한 Nanoporous Alumina Membrane용 Alumina Sol 제조

        Sol-Gel법에 의해 출발물질로 aluminum isopropoxide(AIP)를 사용하여, 가수분해 및 해교과정을 거쳐 alumina(boehmite)졸을 제조하였다. 또한 이 졸을 건조오븐에서 건조시켜, 분말을 제조한 후 열처리온도에 따른 분말 결정상의 조성과 기공특성을 조사하였다. 100℃에서 열처리하여 제조된 분말은 boehmite상을 나타내었으며, 500℃에서 γ-alumina로 상전이 되었다. HCl/AIP=0.10의 조건으로 해교된 후 600℃로 열처리된 분말은 4nm의 평균기공 크기를 나타내었다. 또한 해교시 첨가된 HCl양이 증가됨에 따라 기공의 크기는 감소한 반면 열처리 온도가 증가됨에 따라 평균기공의 크기는 증가하였다. Alumina(boehmite) sol was prepared by the sol-gel method from aluminum isopropoxide(AIP) through bydrolysis and peptization processes. Powders were obtained by drying the sol in drying oven, and the powder properties, such as crystalline phase composition and pore structure, were studied as a function of heat-treatment temperatures. The powders showed boehmite phase at 100℃, and transformed to γ-alumina at 500℃. The powders, heat-treated at 600℃ after being peptized at HCl/AIP=0.10, 4㎚ in average pore diameter. The average pore diameter of the powders decreased with increasing HCl concentrations added uring peptization process, but increased with increasing heat-treatment temperatures.

        This study was to analyze the basic data of Biomechanical characteristics of leg segment during Pique Arabesque Balance. Three women who have more than 10 years career performed at the Ballet. Data was collected by Kwon3D, KwonGRF program. During Pique Arabesque Balance, B1 showed that in a moment ROT and MLH-B than rapidly anther subjects. To balance on toe-shoes, the center of leg segment mass(CLSM) moved in supporting leg direction, It showed that the shorter transition of CLSM kept a longer balancing on toe and big forward-high moving was effective on quick holding balance. The velocity of CLSM, in linking movement from plie to on toe, the higher velocity of CLSM was, but the mere rapidly balance was held, could not keep balancing longer. En ROT, the larger the knee angle, the higher the velocity of vertical moving was. Large knee angle was effective on keeping balance, and then large angle of ankle joint was effective en keeping balance. The characteristics of Angular Velocity in Pique Arabesque Balance; it showed that the femur Angular Velocity was more that rapidly another segments in the X axis, and in the Y axis, then supporting feet was more than rapidly another segments at ROT. In the Z axis, the pelvis was more than rapidly another segments at ROT. The characteristics of Angular momentum is the law of the conservation Angular momentum Maximum reaction force was effective more than larger reaction force in ROT and effective more than smaller reaction force in MLH-B.

        S. E. S. is one of the elements in resolving participation for individual leisure activities and is static leisure activity rather than dynamic activity. It is probable that that women try to participate in leisure activity dynamically, their husbands, however, have initiative in women's activities. However, it is certain that social elements in the step from family of orientation to family of procreation cannot be found apparently. This(research) remains a few questionable problems. One of them is to explain several elements except for choice of leisure activities and effective factors in participation in leisure activity; resolving participation in activities not only for women but all of the members in family.

      • 양극화 Al 박 상에 형성된 산화층의 표면적과 밀도

        전해 콘덴서를 만드는 데 쓰이는 알루미늄 박은 그 표면을 etching한 다음에 양극 산화를 시켜서 표면에 산화층을 형성시키고 그 금속/산화금속 계면의 넓이를 극대화 시킨 것이다. 이 산화금속 층의 구조와 계면의 넓이를 판단하기 위해서 etching 처리한 박과 etching에 이어서 양극 산화 처리한 알루미늄 박 산화층의 표면적과 밀도를 중량식 BET 흡착 장치를 이용해서 측정하였다. Aluminium foils used for the electrolytic capacitor are usually prodused by etching the metal surface followed by anodization to form dielectric oxide layers on them with the maximum metal/metal oxide interface area. The densities and surface areas of the surface layer on the etched film as well as those on the anodized film are determined with a gravimetric BET apparatus. The interface areas and the structure of the dielectrics are inferred from the results.

        Competitiveness of rice comes from higher quality and lower price. The latter accrues from cost reduction which is in turn possible through the economies of scale. Economies of scale is, however, very difficult to achieve because of small-scaleness of rice acreage in Chonnam Province and expensive land price. Therefore, rice competitiveness should be complemented by utilizing quality differentiation both vertically and horizontally. Chonnam rice is somehow treated as a lemon good among the metropolitan consumers like in Seoul. It is a problem to be coped with. According to our research results, Chonnam rice carried the lowest price in the rice markets of the big cities. In Taegu city, Chonnam branded rice was not sold at the department stores, and it was sold only at one place in Pusan. In other words, Chonnam rice is treated as a lemon good and shunned by some localities across the nation. In order to remedy this unfavorable situation, Chonnam rice should be differentiated both vertically and horizontally in terms of variety selection, storage, milling and processing, packaging, etc. Especially, development of new brands and quality guarantee is ncccss. Besides, both publicizing and improving rice quality should be emphasized to promote Chonnam rice at the national level.
