불소도포가 상아질 접착에 미치는 영향

        조규증,권형조,박진훈 大韓齒科保存學會 1995 Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics Vol.20 No.1

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stannous fluoride on the dentin bonding with three kinds of commercially available dentin bonding systems containing diffe- rent adhesive monomers. Dentin specimens with exposed labial dentin prepared from freshly extracted bovine mandibular anterior teeth were divided into experimental and control groups. The specimens of experimental groups were bonded with dentin bonding systems and composite resins including All bond 2 & Bisfil, Scotchbond Multi-Purpose & Z100, and Denthesive II & Charisma after 2% stannous fluorided application for 5 minutes and washing for 1 minute. The specimens of control groups were bonded with the same dentin bonding systems and composite resins as used in the experimental groups. After bonded specimens were stored in 37? distilled water for 24 hours, the tensile bond strength and cohesive failure rate were measured, and then the pretreated dentin surfaces and the fractured dentin surfaces were examined under scanning electron microscope. The results were as follows :Mean bond strength of stannous fluoride applied groups of All bond 2, Scotchbond MP, and Denthesive II were 2.5MPa, l.lMPa, and l.lMPa respectively, and those of control groups were 7.5MPa, 8.1MPa, and 4.6MPa. Bond strength values of stannous fluoride applied groups were significantly lower than those of the control groups(pOn SEM observation of the fractured dentin-r'esin interface, while most of the specimens of stannous fluoride applied groups showed adhesive failure mode, those of All bond 2 and Scotchbond MP control groups showed mainly adhesive-cohesive mixed failure mode, and mainly adhesive failure mode in Denthesive II control group.

Anti-arthritic Effect of Glucosamine and Oriental Herbal Composition

        Seong-Wan Cho,Young Il Kim,Young-Jae Lee,Hyoung-Kwon Cho,Young-Kwon Kim 대한의생명과학회 2008 Biomedical Science Letters Vol.14 No.2

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of an anti-inflammatory and analgesic action of the glucosamine HCl (Glucosamine) and SH-1 (Glucosamine + Oriental herbal composition combined group). Male sprague-Dawley rats (200~250 g) and ICR mice (20~30 g) were randomized and these experimental groups were divided into 4 groups. Two control group were given as negative control (saline) and positive control (Ibuprofen, 100 ㎎/㎏) and two groups given as oral administration of Glucosamine (320 m/㎏) and SH-1. Carrageenan induced paw edema test, hot plate method, croton oil induced granuloma, capillary permeability test and acetic acid writhing syndrome were also shown to be comparable in the SH-1 group to anti-inflammatory drug group such as positive control group (Ibuprofen). Although further studies should be performed to confirm the effects of SH-1, present results suggest that the combined administration of SH-1 have potential action in anti-inflammatory and analgesic action. It could be applicable for the improvement of arthritic symptoms as a new diet-supplement.

      • Effects on diabetes management of a health-care provider mediated, remote coaching system via a PDA-type glucometer and the Internet.

Cho, Jae-Hyoung,Kwon, Hyuk-Sang,Kim, Hun-Sung,Oh, Jeong-Ah,Yoon, Kun-Ho Published and distributed by Royal Society of Medi 2011 Journal of telemedicine and telecare Vol.17 No.7

We conducted a randomized controlled trial for 12 weeks in patients with type 2 diabetes living in a rural part of Korea. The intervention group (n = 35) was managed by a diabetes centre which provided specialized management mediated by a primary health-care nurse who used a PDA-type blood glucometer with a bar code detector to measure the capillary glucose levels. The control group (n = 36) received usual care. Compared with baseline, HbA(1c) was significantly reduced at three-month follow-up in the intervention group (8.0% vs. 7.5%; P < 0.01), but not in the control group. Total cholesterol was significantly reduced in the intervention group (10.7 mmol/L vs. 10.4 mmol/L; P = 0.043). Fasting plasma glucose and triglyceride levels were lower at follow-up in both groups, but the difference was not significant. The new system could be implemented widely and would contribute to improving the quality of diabetes care, even in isolated rural areas.

Urban Forest Monitoring in Korea since 1991: Case Study on Daegu Metropolitan City

        Kwon, Jino,Cho, HyunJe,Choi, MyoungSnb,Park, Chan-Ryul,Sung, Joo-Han,Cho, Jae-Hyoung,Kim, Sunhee,Park, Jonggyun,Oh, Jeong-Hak Korean Society of Forest Science 2006 한국산림과학회지 Vol.95 No.5

To have better urban forests in future we are focusing on two major issues like other countries. How we could have more urban forest-quantitative approach-against the expanding of urbanization, and how we could produce better urban forest-qualitative approach-to give a chance in contact with better nature for urban people. Prime surveys on urban forests have been carried out in 6 major cities since 1991, and the city of Daegu which is located on the east southern area of Korea have been case studied for qualitative approaches during last 3 years. Major species of the remnant forests were Pinus densiflora, Pinus rigida, Pinus thunbergii and Robinia pseudoacacia. Approximately 20% of the surveyed forests were lost their structure as forests caused by illegal farming, facilities and as the bare ground by excessive visitors. Generally speaking the condition of forests for biotope was very poor in overall. From two years data of monitoring of birds, we found that wooded parkways and woodland squares had more species than street tree areas. Nests were found mainly on the branch of Zelkova serrata, Pinus densiflora and Quercus myrsinaefolia. The size of urban forests mainly determined the species richness of birds. According to the oxygen output and carbon input by photosynthesis measurement, the capability was in order of Platanus occidentalis, Zelkova serrata and Ginko biloba. Air conditioning effects of trees through transpiration measurement was found and the quality of forests also related to the reducing of urban heat-island.

IgA 신병증에서 Haas의 조직학적 분류에 따른 임상적 예후

권영주,김형규,최창원,차대룡,김상욱,신진호,조원용,원남희,표희정,한상엽,조상경 대한신장학회 1999 Kidney Research and Clinical Practice Vol.18 No.1

Objectives:IgA nephropathy is a common type of primary glomerulonephritis and may present with a wide variety of histologic patterns on renal biopsy. IgA nephropathy may progress to end stage renal disease. But it is difficult to predict the prognosis of IgA nephropathy. Methods:In an attempt to identify prognostic indicators in this disease, the clinical data from 158 patients with IgA nephropathy were analyzed and compared to the pathologic subclassification proposed by Haas. Results: 1)The mean age of 158 patients with IgA nephropathy was 31.5 yrs(M:F=1:1.04) and there were 17 patients in subclass I, 5 patients in subclass II, 80 patients in subclass III, 34 patients in subclass IV, 22 patients in subclass V. 2)The significant correlation between renal survival rate and histologic subclass in 114 patients who were followed-up for more than 12 months was showed in order of I, II$gt;III, IV$gt;V. 3)Active crescents were a significant negative prognostic indicator in renal survival in subclass III, but not in subclass IV. 4) The presence of immune complex deposits in the glomerular capillary loops in addition to the deposits in mesangial areas was associated with poor prognosis in progression to end stage renal disease of IgA nephropathy 5)With a respect to clinical presentation, hypertension, serum creatinine of?1.5mg/dL, and proteinuria of?2.0g/day were significant negative prognostic indicators for renal survival but the presense of gross hematuria was not associated with increased renal survival rate by an univariate analysis. Conclusion:These results suggest that histologic subclassification proposed by Haas may be a useful prognostic indicator for the clinical outcome of IgA nephropathy, as well as the amount of proteinuria, serum creatinine level and hypertension at the time of initial renal biopsy.

Antithrombotic activity of Vitis labrusca extract on rat platelet aggregation

        Kwon, Se-Uk,Lee, Hoon-Yeon,Xin, Mingjie,Ji, Su-Jeong,Cho, Hyoung-Kwon,Kim, Dae-Sung,Kim, Dae-Ki,Lee, Young-Mi YEAR Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. All rights reserv 2016 Blood coagulation & fibrinolysis Vol.27 No.2

Vitis labrusca is a grapevine that has antioxidant, neuroprotective, hepatoprotective, and anticarcinogenic activity. However, the antithrombotic effect of Vitis labrusca leaves on platelets is yet to be ascertained. We investigated the inhibitory effect of V. labrusca leaf extract (VLE) on platelet aggregation in vitro and ex vivo. The thromboxane B-2 (TXB2) and serotonin concentrations were measured by ELISA. The flavonoids content was measured by ultraperformance liquid chromatography (UPLC). The antithrombotic activity of VLE was evaluated using various agonists in vitro. VLE strongly inhibited adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-induced platelet aggregation. In rats, VLE treatment (100mg/kg) reduced ADP-stimulated platelet aggregation, without affecting tail bleeding and coagulation time. Moreover, VLE significantly suppressed TXB2 and serotonin secretion. UPLC analysis indicated that VLE contains quercetin, isorhamnetin, and rutin. Our results indicate that VLE possesses antiplatelet activity via the suppression of TXB2 and serotonin, without affecting bleeding. Further, we identified the flavonoids present in VLE. Thus, VLE may be a potential agent for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Copyright (C) 2016 Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. All rights reserved.

Combination of Uric Acid and NT-ProBNP: A More Useful Prognostic Marker for Short-Term Clinical Outcomes in Patients with Acute Heart Failure

( Hyoung Seob Park ),( Hyung Seop Kim ),( Ji Hyun Sohn ),( Hong Won Shin ),( Yun Kyeong Cho ),( Hyuck Jun Yoon ),( Chang Wook Nam ),( Seung Ho Hur ),( Yoon Nyun Kim ),( Kwon Bae Kim ),( Hee Joon Park 대한내과학회 2010 The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine Vol.25 No.3

Background/Aims: In patients with heart failure (HF), N-terminal prohormone brain natriuretic peptide (NT-ProBNP) is a standard prognostic indicator. In addition, uric acid (UA) was recently established as a prognostic marker for poor outcome in chronic HF. The aim of this study was to determine the combined role of UA and NT-ProBNP as prognostic markers for short-term outcomes of acute heart failure (AHF). Methods: The levels of UA and NT-ProBNP were determined in 193 patients (age, 69±13 years; 76 males) admitted with AHF. Patients were followed for 3 months and evaluated for cardiovascular events, defined as cardiac death and/or readmission for HF. Results: Of the 193 patients, 23 (11.9%) died and 20 (10.4%) were readmitted for HF during the 3-month followup period. Based on univariate analysis, possible predictors of short-term cardiovascular events were high levels of UA and NT-ProBNP, low creatinine clearance, no angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors or angiotensin receptor blockers, and old age. Multivariate Cox hazard analysis showed that UA levels were independently associated with increased incidence of cardiovascular events (hazard ratio, 1.115; 95% confidence interval, 1.006 to 1.235; p=0.037). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed that patients with UA levels >8.0 mg/dL and NT-ProBNP levels >4,210 pg/mL were at highest risk for cardiac events (p=0.01). Conclusions: The combination of UA and NT-ProBNP levels appears to be more useful than either marker alone as an independent predictor for short-term outcomes in patients with AHF.
