Moon, Seung-Chul. 1997. Optimality Theory in Syntax. Linguistics, 5-1, 235-253. The purpose of this paper is to show that Optimality Theory developed in phonology can also be applied to syntax. I discuss possibilities of some syntactic phenomena which may be explained by OT. And I focus on the binding facts of the unbounded reflexives and show that seemingly unbounded binding relation can be explained by the interaction of universal constraints, under Optimality Theory as proposed in Prince and Smolensky (1993). For syntactic binding, I follow Moon (1995) and assume a series of constraints, THC, LPC, SOC, CCC, DBC which affect binding by their mutual interaction with each other. I conclude this paper by showing that the five constraints on anaphoric binding interact to produce the best choice of antecedents. (Hankuk Aviation University)

An Optimality-driven Approach to Derivational Choices in English

This paper aims to provide an optimality-driven account for long-discussed derivational options in English sentences. Another purpose of this study is to examine what kinds of linguistic constraints are involved in accounting for derivational options and furthermore demonstrate that only limited number of well-known universal constraints such as Information constraint, Adjacency Constraint, Stay and Head movement can explain somewhat complicated derivational options with slight change of hierarchy among the constraints. In addition, I illustrate how the best derivational option can be selected by way of optimality-theoretic evaluation process. Finally I attempt to suggest a pedagogical method which can provide an answer to an optionality issues in English.

이동 애드 혹 네트워크에서의 환경적응형 QoS AODV 라우팅 프로토콜에 관한 연구

In this paper, we propose a bidirectional mobile Ad Hoc routing protocol based on AODV(ad-hoc on-demand distance vector routing) with QoS(quality of service) support. At presence, wireless mobile communication focuses on how to efficiently support mobility of users more than QoS guarantee. However, in order to satisfy requirement of various applications which have been or will be served, QoS guarantee between end points is a very important issue. The existing AODV routing protocol is implemented to use only BE (Best Effort) service. However, actual wireless mobile environment requires to reduce a waste of communication resources and meet with the real-time change of data paths by setting up routes with QoS support, considering available communication resources at each node in advance. Therefore, in this thesis, we propose an adaptive QoS support method using hello message in order to rapidly meet with the change of available communication resources and to smoothly perform route maintenance. For performance evaluation, we analyzed the average data reception rate. At that time, we used evaluation parameters such as node's mobility-stop time, hello message period, and packet priority, considering the node's mobility and the number of best effort/QoS data flows. As results, we found that with our proposed method the average data reception rate was increased 16.293%, 15.914%, 17.238% for 300 mobility-stop second case and 4.809%, 4.264%, 2.956% for 300 mobility-stop second case.

Inconel 718 상향 엔드밀링시 절삭력에 미치는 공구형상오차의 영향

In an end milling process, the undeformed chip section and cutting forces vary periodically with the phase change of the tool. However, the real undeformed chip section area deviates from the geometrically ideal one owing to the cutter runout and tool shape error. In the current study, a method of estimating the real undeformed chip section area which reflects the cutter runout and tool shape error is presented during up-end milling processes of Inconel 718. The specific cutting forces, K_r and K_t are defined as the radial and tangential cutting forces divided by the modified chip section area, respectively. Both of the K_r and K_t values become smaller as the helix angle increases from 30˚ to 40˚. Whereas they become larger as the helix angle increases from 40˚ to 50˚. The K_r and K_t values show a tendency to decrease with increase of the modified chip section area.

말초성 신경아세포종 : 두개골 발생 증례 보고 Involving Skull

The peripheral neuroblastomas are malignant neoplasms that originate from the adrenal gland and sympathetic nervous tissues. They usually occur in childhood. They exhibit such malignant features that they metastasize early to lung, liver, bone, rarely skull and other structures. The patients with peripheral neuroblastoma have short duration of symptom and short survival period. They reveal the characteristic light microscopic features that resemble other small cell carcinomas. The establishment of final diagnosis of peripheral neuroblastoma needs various special stainings for small cell carcinomas, and the electron microscopic findings are the most reliable. The authers recently experienced a case of peripheral neuroblastoma in a 26-year old man which involved right frontoparietal skull vault. The only chief complaint was a local non-tender mass at right frontoparietal scalp. Neither headache nor any neurological deficits was detected. Simple skull X-ary revealed a punched out rediolucency at right frontoparietal bone and brain CT showed a superficial elliptical high density mass that enhanced strongly. The mass was totally removed by wide craniectomy. The tumor invaded and penetrated the dura but the arachnoid membrane. at the tumor bed was not invaded by the tumor. The tumor was confirmed as peripheral neuroblastoma by various special stainings for small cell carcinomas. Following surgical resection of the mass, post-operative radiotherpy was offered(4800 rads for about 5 weeks). The patient aggrevated progressively and showed numerous metastases to such bones as lumbar vertebrae, pelvis and humerus to became paraplegic. 8 months after the operation, the patient died.

Abstract - In this thesis, we propose a QoS supporting method on wireless ad hoc-based active network for improving reliability. On the loss of route path, the existing DSR routing protocol has several problems with wireless network communication because of decease of data reception rate and increase of network load. The proposed method improves reliability of data transfer by using functions of active network. That is, by using functions of active nodes and active packets, the proposed method supports QoS with reservation transfer method that saves data packets on transfer at intermediate nodes with lost path and then re-transmit the packets after route reconfiguration.

달 탐사선의 발사 요구조건 및 임무궤도 사례연구

시험용 달 궤도선의 발사 요구조건 사전 분석 단계로 최근 외국에서 발사한 달 탐사선의 발사 요구조건을 분석하였다. 일반적으로 달 탐사선의 발사 요구조건은 달 임무 궤도를 결정하는 중요한 요소이며, 또한 지구, 달, 태양의 상대적인 운동으로 인해 임무궤도 요구조건을 만족하는 발사 가능 시간이 주기적으로 반복되는 경향이 있다. 분석 결과 설정된 발사 요구조건들로부터 달 궤도선의 주 임무가 달의 남/북극 지역의 광학 관측 임을 간접적으로 알 수 있었다. 향후 우리나라 달 궤도선 발사 요구 조건 설정에 본 논문이 도움이 되길 기대한다. In the preliminary study on launch window requirement for Korea Path-finder Lunar Orbiter(KPLO), the recent foreign lunar orbiter’s lauch window requirement was analyzed. Normally, the launch requirements depends on the mission orbit. Based on the relationship between Moon, Earth, and Sun, the launch time will be available periodically to meet requirements. In this paper, it is understood that the launch window requirements come from payload mission requirements to take picture each poles of Moon. This paper might be a practical example to derive KPLO launch requirements in the future.

서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

A.M.L. Porous-coated Cementless Hip Prosthesis를 사용한 고관절전치환술의 경험

Total hip replacement for the hip arthropathy is going well in our country with the conception of fixing total hip prosthesis by bony ingrowth rather than by cement. It has evaluated in an attempt to decrease the incidence of loosening. Since 1984, we have been experienced with cementless total hip replacement with porous-coated femoral prosthesis and acetabular component, at the Dept. of Orthopaedic surgery of Chungnam National university Hospital, Taejeon Korea. The results were as follows: 1. A, total cases of 36 have been experienced with A.M.L. porous-coated femoral stem and acetabular component. 2. Clinically, before and after operation, each patient was evaluated using the method by d' Aubigne and Postel grading. 3. The operation time was shorter than other methods. 4. Post-operative complications were lower clinical rating but it was unassociated with the success of stem fixation methods. 5. For the further study, we will be assessment of the radiographic evaluation, especially loosening or stress shielding on the A. M. L. porous-coated prosthesis.

論語에 나타난 시 교육론 고

인류가 문자를 발명하면서 보다 많은 경험과 지식 그리고 보다 정교해진 인간의 의식을 전달할 수 있게 되면서 인간의 사회에는 교육이 더더욱 절실해 지게 되었을 것인데, 고대 중국에서는 신정(神政)의 시기인 상대(商代)를 거쳐 주대(周代) 공자(孔子)에 이르러서야 인간중심의 인문시대를 열었다고 평가할 수 있다. 본고에서는 공자의 교육사상 가운데에서 특히 시(詩) 교육과 관련하여 논의를 전개해 보고자 하였다. 중국에서는 서주 초기로부터 관학의 형태로 교육제도를 갖추고 있었는데, 사학을 설립한 공자에 이르러서 교과과목이나 가르치는 목적도 변화가 생기기 시작했다. 특히 공자는 시 교육을 중시하였는데, 본고에서는 공자의 사상이념 가운데에서 《논어》 에 나타난 시 교육과 관련한 논의를 뽑아서 시 교육이 공자 당시의 교육제도에 있어서 어떤 의의를 가지며 시 교육이 어떤 역할과 작용 및 효과를 가지는가에 대하여 정리해 보았다. 그런데 공자가 사상가이자 교육가로서 시와 예·악의 삼위일체적인 학습을 아무리 중시하였다고 하더라도 시나 예·악은 그 자체로서의 학문이나 예술적인 가치를 인정하기보다는 정치사회적인 안정을 위한 이념을 실현할 수 있어야만 그 가치가 돋보인다고 했다. 그렇다고 해서 공자가 순수문예적인 측면에서 시·예·악의 교육에 대하여 소홀히 하였던 것은 물론 아니다. 인간의 성정에 바탕으로 하는 시는 예의 절제와 악의 조화를 통해서 당시 무너져 버린 시대의 도를 바로 세우는 중요한 방법이라고 여겼으며, 시·예·악의 교육을 통하지 않고는 공자가 이상으로 여겼던 도덕의 실현 역시 가능하지 않다고 여겼기 때문에 공자가 이상이라고 한 도덕의 완비 역시 도덕 그 자체를 위한 것이 아니라 정치적인 이상사회를 이룩하기 위해서 필요한 절대적인 덕목이라고 여겼다고 보아야 한다. Confucius(551~479 B.C.)was a man of thought and an educator at the Xi Zhou(西周)'s dynasty. He spent most of his time at making study and bringing up his disciples. The Xi Zhou(西周)'s dynasty, the era of feudalism was plunged in confusion. Ministers conspired against the king`s life, The kings always were thinking over making a raid on other countries. So, the kings were most anxious to take political measures of wealth and military power. But Confucius put emphasis upon education of Shi(詩)·Li(禮)·Yue(樂) and so on. Confucius said, "It is by the Shi that the mind is aroused. It is by the Rules of Propriety that the character is established. It is from Music that the finish is received.…(子曰, 興於詩, 立於禮, 成於樂.…)" Specially Confucius took a serious view of Shi education. He believed through education of Shi a human being can accomplish his morally personality. A central tenet of Confucian thought is that shi(詩)·Li(禮)·Yue(樂) are the function of culture to regulate and give shape to the basic substance of man and society. “The Shi serve to stimulate the mind, they may be used for purposes of self-contemplation, they teach the art of sociability, they show how to regulate feelings of resentment. From them you learn the more immediate duty of serving one's father, and the remoter one of serving one`s prince. … (詩, 可以興, 可以觀, 可以群, 可以怨. 邇之事父, 遠之事君. …)” This paper aims at making clear upon contents, bases, methods, and worths of Shi education in the Confucian Analects.
