        시제의 심리적 기능

        This paper aims at the psychological effect on some special uses of the present tense and past tense. For the present tense, the special use of historic present and the present tense indicating futurity are examined and investigated. For the past tense, the main focus is on the distancing effect on tentativeness and subjunctive construction. The so-called historic present turns out to have a restricted distribution, most of which appears in the everyday converstational text and novels. They have typical spoken style in common, which has no time enough to keep consistent logical tense from beginning to end of the text. Besides, the choice of the present tense instead of other tense forms has to do with the unmarkedness of the present tense. The larger frame of time marking the past background, though explicit or implicit, is needed for the proper use of historic present. The futuristic use of the present tense is, strictly speaking, not about the future event. Rather it expresses the state of the future plan or schedule being fixed at the present. And the present progressive has the similar use about the future event. They are very alike in that they indicate the present state of the future plan, but different in the degree of the fixedness of the future plan. This reflects the difference of permanency and temporariness inherent in the simple tense and progressive aspect, respectively. The past tense has two different functions. One is real past indicating past time while the other one is psychological past marking non-present. The non-present use of the past tense plays a part in the tentativeness and subjunctive construction. The psychological past is to put a distance to the present situation, which implies, in turn, that the hearer might be free from the speaker's request at present, and that the situation in question is not about the present reality. These special uses of the past tense are realized through the markedness of the past tense, compared to the unmarkedness of the present tense.

      • 상태천이회로의 최소 소비전력화를 위한 상태할당에 대해서

        CMOS 동기식 상태천이회로의 각 상태에 대한 상태 코드 할당이 유일하게 정하여 지지 않는 점에 착안하여, 천이가 발생하는 모든 상태사이에 Hamming거리가 1인 상태 코드를 할당하는 상태 할당 수법을 제한한다. 이 방법은 상태간의 천이에 발생하는 부하용량의 충방전에 의한 소비 전력을 최소화하는 상태 할당을 제공한다. 어를 위한 알고리즘을 제안하고 예를 통해서 본 방법의 유효성을 제시한다. 이 방법은 소비전력을 감소시킬 목적으로 제안되는 상태 할당의 기준으로써의 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다. 마지막 부분에 본 논문의 결과를 정리하고, 앞으로의 과제를 논의한다. A method of state assignment for CMOS synchronous finite state machines is described, which is effective for minimizing power dissipation in flip-flops. The method is based on a model that power dissipation in flip-flops is assumed to be proportional to average frequency of flip-flops' output states change. The minimum state code assignment obtained in this method is such that the Hamming distance of state codes, for a pair of states with a transition, is one. A minimum algorithm for the state code assignment is described along with examples. Results of this method becomes a criterion of state code assignment for reducing power dissipation of CMOS circuits. Finally, the topics in this paper are overviewed and several future problems are discussed.

        This experiment was conducted to examine effects of different polyethylene film mulching, pinching methods, and shading level on growth and root yield of Bupleurum falcatum L. Plant height, leaf length, leaf width, stem diameter, root length, number of lateral roots and number of branches were fewer in a polyethylene film mulching than in a non-mulching. In a non-mulching, plant height was highest at a non-pinching and leaf length, leaf width, root length, root diameter, number of lateral roots, number of branches were greatest at the third pinching (25 Aug.) among the pinching treatments. In a polyethylene film mulching, plant height was highest at a non-mulching and leaf length, leaf width, stem diameter, root length, root diameter were greatest at the third pinching (25 Aug.) among the pinching treatments. Characteristics such as fresh aboveground weight, fresh root weight, dry aboveground weight, dry root weight were greatest in a polyethylene film mulching and total yield per 3.3㎡ was greatest in a non-mulching between polyethylene film mulching and non-mulching. Root yield in a non-mulching was two fold greater than in a polyethylene film mulching, and in a non-mulching, was much greater at the third-pinching (25 Aug.) among the pinching treatments. As the shading level was increased from 0 to 90%, plant height was increased from 83.4 to 100.3cm. Stem diameter, root length, and root diameter were decreased with the increased shading level. Fresh aboveground and root weights were decreased as shading level was increased.

      • DS-FSK 통신 시스템에 대한 연구

        Recentlly, several experiments have been reported on utilization of commerical power distribution line for data transmission purpose in realizing local FA/HA system. The power line, originally having not been in stalled for the communication purpose, exhibits very poor transmission characteristics; high attenuation rate with severe selective fading, extremely low line impedance and persistent line noises ect.,usually deny the signal transmission unless cumbersome measures are taken, which cannot normally be allowed to local FA/HA system. This paper first studies general characteristics of local power distribution line and selects frequency band relatively recommendable for signal transmission. Also, described are the neccessity of applying spread spectrum technique in order to compete severe selective fading phenomenon existing in the line. The auther then introduces a highly reliable, verstile and yet simple data transmission system designed to meet above requirements. The system operates on the principle of meet DSSS technique but transmits two different carrier frequencies, instead of one depends on the polarity of the SS output. By applying the two carrier meth od, not only the problems related with the carrier synchronization may be eleiminated, but also the process gain of SS block in the system can be multiplied, by the effect of frequency hopping process of the carriers. Acording to the analysis, the simply constructed MODEN can transmits ASCⅡ data of upto 2400 bps through local power distribution line of -7 dB SNR with the error rate of lower than 10^(-5) when the 36 kHz PN frequency is used. The auther also studies the maxmum allowable numbers of the MODEN unit s multiplexed on a power line under given error rates. The analisis shows, with the proposed units, upto 8 subscribers may be cdmmunicate with the error rate of less than 10^(-4) In order to verify the analisis, 10 test sets have been built; each composed of a spreader/corelator, carrier modulator and a PN generator triggered from fixed phase of power line voltage. A carefully designed mathing transformer has been used in order to assure perfect matching to power line impedance which drops sometimes down to less than 10 ohms. Pairs of carrier frequeneies for each unit have been selected from 100-150 kHz band. For the standard pairs built for the unit system measur ements, 113 kHz and 137 KHz have been used. A series of measurements have been conducted on dummy line as well as on actual commercial lines with the results fairely matched to the analytical values.

        This paper summarizes the results of the parameter conducted to analyze the effect of the rolling pressure, the rotational speed and the feedrate on material flow and thread profile for Ball Screw. Initial bank diameter affect a quality of Ball Screw in small size and the precision rolling process. Therefor, it is very important to determine the optimum bank diameter in the rolling process. And we have to development clean technology of Small Ball Screws by Infeed Rolling Machine.

        스테인레스강 절삭가공에서 공구의 온도 특성에 대한 실험적 연구

        This is an experimental investigation of the temperature generated in a cutting tool during the machining of stainless steel. The temperature results from the wear of the cutting tool are considered in order to investigate the relation between cause and effect of these factors. This possibility has been tested using a thermocouple technique to record temperature vs. time curves for a variety of cutting conditions. This is done by employing a thermocouple inserted on the tool tip near the major cutting edge. Temperature distributions are calculated using finite element method and compared to the contour maps measured by an optical system. It suggests that the temperature gradients and the tool performance will be dependent on certain factors in tool geometry when cutting this material.

        The technique for the synthesis of the dual-input describing function(DIDF) is introduced here and the construction of a non-linear electronic compensator(N-L-E-C) based on this technique is proposed. The above non-linear network is used to compensate linear and non-linear systems for instability,speed of response, limit cycle and the static accuracy.

        정상교합자의 치열궁 형태

        This study was designed to investigate dental arch shapes buccally and lingually at Bracket Level of Koreans. This involved studying 63 inviduals (37 males, 26 females) with normal occlusion ranging in age from 17 to 24 yesrs old. The landmarks were digitized and measurements and statistical analysis were performed by NEC 9801 V-M computer. The Results were as Follows: Bicanine width, Bipremolar width and Bimolar width were larger in males than in females. Buccal and lingual arch form and coordination form were obtained by NEC 9801 V-M computer. The parabolic equations which represents buccal and lingual arch form were obtained.
