        건축디자인에서의 다감각적 감성의 적용에 관한 기초연구

        건축을 비롯한 디자인 분야에서 인간중심의 디자인이라는 패러다임의 전환에 부응하는 경향이 조성되고 있으며, 건축분야에서 인간의 감각과 감성에 대한 고려가 필요함을 인식하게 되었다. 그러나 그동안의 건축디자인에서는 이러한 점을 고려한 연구와 디자인 성과의 대부분이 시각 중심으로 편중되어 왔다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 디자인 측면에서 인간이 대상을 인지하는 데는 여러 가지의 감각을 동원하게 되고 이의 통합결과로 인지하게 된다는 것을 이해하였고, 특히 문화적 배경과 인간중심의 경향을 보이는 다감각을 고려하고 적용한 미래지향적인 감성디자인 연구가 미흡한 실정에 있다는 점을 주목하였다. 공감을 불러 일으키는 디자인이 감성디자인이며 이의 인식과 적용이 디자이너에게 중요한 과제로 부각되고 있는 만큼, 건축 디자인에서도 인간 중심적인 경험과 감각, 감성의 감흥을 바탕으로 계획되어야 할 것이다. 다감각적 면에서 인간중심의 감성디자인이란 시각에 편중되지 않고 촉각, 청각을 비롯한 여러 감성요소들이 통합된 관점에서 공감적 대상으로서 건축 디자인에 적용되어야 할 것이다. In architecture, Sensibility is the most basic thing in the environmental cognition. Emotion is the phychological or cognitive phenomenon of sensory changes. A cross-causal relationship is formed between the two, and they have a consensus in contact with humans and environment. Sensibility ever to serve as bundle and cognize as mutual superposition. Humans unconsciously perceive through the synesthesia that integrated all the senses. In this study, it has been identified as a result of the study, the architectural design through the sense must be design to the multisensory experience of the emotional design. Depending on the times change, it can know that the gradual changes based on the anthropocentric sense and sensibility. Emotional design in architecture shall ensure that a variety of experience through the multisensory. In this emotional design, multisensory design (or various sensory function) -visual & tactory or visual & auditory etc.- is required beyond the limitation of conventional visual concenturated. Therefore, In order to achieve the demands of the modern social objectives of sympathy or empathy for the human-centered design sensibility, the visual perception as well as a variety of sensory must be recognized that a combination of cognitive and functional. And the application of multisensory design is required to aim the synesthesia cognition.

        아동의 자기이해능력 향상을 위한 다감각적 예술교육의 매체로서 점토의 활용 방향성 연구

        The purpose of this study is to propose and outline a multisensory-integrated clay-based art education program aimed at enhancing self-concept abilities in children at the pre-schematic stage(ages 4-7). The study involves an analysis of Rudolf Steiner's educational color theory for holistic education, the Waldorf education curriculum applying his theory, and prior theories and literature on the theory of multi-sensory practical education in Waldorf. The research resulted in the clay is effective in self-awareness and understanding of children and can be used as a multisensory medium in color education. The educational program, focusing on the color, materiality, and texture of clay, is found to be effective for children to recognize themselves as part of nature and to improve their understanding of the human foundation, namely, themselves. 본 연구는 전도식기(pre-schematic stage : 4~7세) 아동의 자기이해능력 향상을 위해 점토를 활용한다감각-융합적 예술교육 프로그램과 그 방향성을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 문헌연구와 선행연구를 통해 전인적 교육을 강조한 루돌프 슈타이너(R. Steiner)의 예술교육론 및 색채론, 그리고 그의이론을 적용한 발도르프 교육과정을 분석하였고, 점토가 전도식기 아동의 자기인식과 이해에 효용성이 있으며 색채탐구교육에 있어서 다감각적 요소로 활용 가능하다는 것을 파악하였다. 이에 따라 아동교육의 현장에서 수행 가능한 색채와 점토, 즉 시각 자극과 촉각 자극이 연계되는 다감각적 점토의 활용방향성 및 예술교육 프로그램을 제안하였으며, 프로그램의 토대인 도토(陶土)의 다양한 색채, 질성, 질감의 활용을 통한 체험 활동은 아동 스스로 자연의 일부임을 인지하고 인간 근본, 즉 자기 자신에 대한 이해 향상에 유용하다는 점을 명확히 하였다.

        A Study on Therapeutic landscape environment for the elderly with dementia based on multisensory stimulation

        (Background and Purpose)The acceleration of aging has resulted in many social problems, one of which is the imbalance between the increase in the population with dementia and the available social forces that help them live. One of the important factors causing this imbalance is how living spaces for elderly individuals with dementia are designed. The living environment of the elderly with dementia, which in most cases is the sanatorium, is designed without understanding the neural structure of the disease. In particular, we do not understand the neural activity relationship between the outdoor environment and the stimulus and response in dementia, and only focus on creating a pure indoor visual stimulation environment. Although the individual sensory systems of the elderly with dementia deteriorate, multisensory integration processing increases. Thus, this research proposes establishing a multisensory stimulation therapeutic landscape environment for the elderly with dementia to alleviate the mental and behavioral symptoms and delay the development of the disease course. (Method) This study enrolled elderly individuals with dementia as limited research subjects. First, neurological research on dementia was conducted to define the significance of the multisensory stimulation environment, neural activity of the elderly with dementia, and therapeutic landscape environment. Second, the relationship between the neural activity of elderly individuals with dementia who responded to multisensory stimuli and the therapeutic landscape environment was organized. Third, six design methods and relative design suggestions were proposed for creating the multisensory therapeutic landscape environment for elderly individuals with dementia. (Results) This study examined the relationship between multisensory stimulation and the therapeutic landscape environment of elderly individuals with dementia, to propose six design methods that enrich the plant species and forms of multisensory stimulation, strengthen tactile-centered multisensory stimulation, enhance the connection between sensory stimuli, symbolize past experience and memory, construct deductive space, and design time-effective activities and games. (Conclusions) It is important to emphasize the necessity of multisensory stimulation in the design of therapeutic landscape environments. Further research should be undertaken to chalk out the design of multisensory stimulation to improve the quality of life of elderly individuals with dementia. This study proposes a new way of constructing an outdoor therapeutic landscape for elderly individuals with dementia and will provide basic data to create an environment for improving their quality of life.

        다중감각 표현의 비유적 의미구성

        This study examined the meaning construction of figurative multisensory expressions through conceptual blending scheme. Sensation is one of our basic experiences, and inter-sensory combination is also one of the involuntary physical experiences. This multisensory language, which is a combination of senses, is divided into vocabulary, expression, and figurative expansion. The figurative multisensory expressions are largely grouped into two types; one is a type of man-related multisensory expressions and the other is a type of non-man-related multisensory expressions. First, it is revealed that the former type stands for characters, attitudes, and emotions of persons. Especially, in a figurative multisensory expression describing the characters of men as of rough taste, such as ‘The male is rough taste (The male has a positive personality)’, the sense of positiveness is newly emerged from the sense of ‘rough taste’. And in other expressions describing the characters of men as of soft taste, such as ‘The male is soft taste (The male has a positive personality)’, the sense of positiveness is projected from the original sense of soft taste with no change. Second, it is found that the non-man-related multisensory type stands for environment of things. Especially, in figurative multisensory expressions describing a culture as of cool scent, such as ‘The culture is cool scent (The culture is positive)’, the sense of positiveness is newly emerged from the sense of cool scent.

        노인 치매예방을 위한 커뮤니티무용의 다감각환경(multisensory environment)적 접근 가능성 탐색

        이 연구는 노인 치매예방을 위한 커뮤니티무용에 다감각환경의 적용 가능성을 탐색한 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌고찰, 전문가회의를 실시하여 다감각환경 기반 노인 커뮤니티무용의 방향성을 제시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 다감각환경 기반 커뮤니티무용은 노인의 감각을 자극할 수 있는 감각도구, 감각자극 무용프로그램이 실천되는 의도적인 공간으로 고려되어야 한다. 둘째, 다감각은 시각, 촉각, 후각, 청각, 미각뿐만 아니라 운동감각의 전정감각, 고유수용성의 요소를 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 노인의 상태특성에 적합한 커뮤니티무용의 순서, 방향, 높낮이, 회전, 속도 등을 적용한 움직임 요소를 고려해야 한다. 프로그램은 공간, 무용프로그램, 지도자 요소의 상호작용적 구조에서 감각 세션별로 구성할 수 있다. 이는 기존의 노인 치매예방을 위한 무용의 유형별, 종류별 논의에서 나아가 환경적 접근방안을 토대로 노인 커뮤니티무용의 이론적 틀을 제시한 것에 의의가 있다. The present study aims to explore how multisensory environments in community dance may prevent older people from suffering from dementia. Initial research methodology involved reviewing references and holding meetings with subject matter experts. The proposal was a multisensory environment-based community dance for older people and related program contents. Results showed that first of all, intentional spatial approach involving multisensory environmental factors is needed to enhance the effects of community dance for older people, and multisensory environment-based community dance for older people should consist of contents fit for visual, touch, smell, auditory, vestibular senses, and proprioceptive stimulus. In addition, it needs to be designed with sensual stimuli considering their physical, mental, and social status characteristics and situations. Secondly, movement factors applied with order, direction, height, rotation, and speed of community dance fit to their status characteristics need to be taken into account in addition to multisensory environmental stimulus factors. This has suggested a theoretical frame of multisensory environment-based community dance for older people.

        다중감각어의 환유적 접근

        This study referred to the existing synaesthetic expression as multisensory language, and examined it as an expansion by conceptual metonymy. This was motivated by contiguity of conceptual metonymy. The result of this article was as follows. First of all, neuroscientific, physiological and psychological findings showed that multiple activations of the senses are common and one of the basic human abilities. In this way, each sense did not occur independently but simultaneously, and multiple senses can be regarded as one of conceptual metonymy by adjacency. Next, multisensory language was classified into words, multisensory expressions, and extensions of their expressions. Among them, words and multisensory expressions were examined as the mechanism of conceptual metonymy. First, in the word hierarchy, multisensory language appeared in various ways: single words, compound words, and phrases. Second, in the multisensory expressions, examples of the expression including the existing synesthesia expressions were examined. This multisensory language was presented as a contact and containment scheme in conceptual metonymy. 이 연구는 기존의 ‘공감각 표현’을 ‘다중감각어’로 지칭하고, ‘개념적 환유’에 의한 확장으로 살펴보았다. 이것은 개념적 환유의 인접성에 의해 동기화된다. 이 글의 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 신경과학적, 생리학적, 심리학적 결과들을 통해 감각이 다중적으로 활성화되는 것이 일반적이며, 기본적인 인간의 능력 중 하나라는 것을 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 각각의 감각이 독립적으로 발생하는 것이 아니라 동시 발생하며, 다중감각이 인접성에 의한 개념적 환유로 간주할 수 있다. 다음으로, ‘다중감각어’는 단어, 다중감각 표현 그리고 그 표현의 확장으로 분류하였는데, 이 중에서 단어, 다중감각 표현은 개념적 환유의 기제로 살펴보았다. 첫째, 단어 층위에서 ‘다중감각어’는 단일어, 합성어, 구의 다양한 방식으로 나타났다. 둘째, 다중감각 표현에서는 기존의 공감각 표현을 포함하여 그 표현 방식에 따른 예들을 살펴보았다. 이러한 ‘다중감각어’는 개념적 환유의 유형 중 접촉, 포함 도식으로 제시했다.

        시각장애 학생을 위한 미술 교과 수업의 다감각적 접근 적용 분석 연구

        Using a multisensory approach gives students with visual impairments the advantage of simultaneously utilizing multiple pathways, visual, auditory, and tactile/kinesthetic/proprioceptive, gustatory, olfactory, to study school subjects. This study was conducted to find out how the application of multisensory approaches to art subject for students with visual impairments. The multisensory approach that can be applied to students with visual impairments consists of three elements: multisensory approach, subject element, and learner's(sensory characteristics, degree of disability, perceptual and expressive methodology, previous sensory experience). An analysis of the activities of the art subject presented in Teacher’s guide book(Ministry of Education, 2018) showed that it was considering the multisensory approach, subject elements and learner elements (sensory characteristics and degree of disability). In order to improve the learning effect of students who are visually impaired, a multisensory approach can be applied systematically in other subjects. 다감각적 접근(mulltisensory approach)은 시각, 청각, 운동 감각, 촉각 등의 다양한 감각을 동시에 활용하는 지도 방법이다. 본 연구는 시각장애 학생을 위한 교과 수업에서 다감각적 접근의 적용이 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지를 미술교과의 제재 수업 활동 내용 분석을 통해 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 시각장애 학생의 교과수업에 적용될 수 있는 다감각적 접근은 다감각적 접근 요소, 교과 요소, 학습자 요소의 세 가지로 구성된다. 다감각적 접근에서는 외부의 지각 대상, 외부감각과 내부감각이 이루어지는 몸 그리고 대상에 대한 다감각적 정보가 주요하게 다루어진다. 교과 요소에서는 각 교과가 강조하는 교과 요소와 해당 요소에 따른 교과 활동이 제시되고, 학습자 요소에서는 시각장애 학생의 감각적 특성, 장애정도, 지각 및 표현 방식 그리고 사전 감각 경험이 고려된다. 교육부(2018)의 시각장애 미술 지도서에 제시된 미술 교과의 제재 수업 활동 내용을 분석한 결과, 다감각적 접근 요소, 교과 요소와 학습자 요소(감각적 특성, 장애정도)를 고려하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 시각장애 학생들의 학습 효과를 높이기 위해 다른 교과 수업에서도 다감각적 접근을 체계적으로 적용해 볼 수 있다.

        다감각을 활용한 미술치료가 시각장애아동의 자기표현에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this research is to find out the effect multisensory art therapy affects children with visual impairments’ self-expression. Research model was one blind kid who is lack in self-expression, and operated art therapy in D University inside D city. Operated multisensory art therapy for fifteen times, and did quality analysis to find out periodic progress results and process. Also did quality analysis and examined the variation in frequency of language to look for changes in self-expressional behavior in each level in accordance with self-expressional territory. The results are as follows. First, in the periodic progress, multisensory art therapy increases self-expression behavior of children with visual impairments. Second, multisensory art therapy promotes children with visual impairments’ 5 self-expressional behavior, intellect, emotion, sociality, physical, and creativity, in each level. Third, multisensory art therapy increases frequency of periodic self-expression.

        시각장애인의 미술 작품 감상 접근성을 높이는 다중감각 인터랙션의 설계 및 평가

        This study suggests multisensory interaction techniques to help visually impaired people appreciate and understand artworks through non-visual senses such as tactile, auditory, and olfactory senses. A user study was conducted on the basis of a qualitative interview about the experience of appreciating artwork through the multisensory interaction system to visually impaired people so as to verify the development of the interaction techniques. The user test shows that the multisensory interactions in artwork generally not only help them appreciate and understand it but also give them satisfaction through artwork appreciation. However, it also indicates that some multisensory interactions caused the visually impaired people confusion and could not be perceived during the appreciation. On the basis of these outcomes, implications in this study are as follows. This study has contributed to providing specific development guidelines and indicators of non-visual multisensory interactions as a technical alternative to improve accessibility to cultural and artistic activities for the visually impaired. Furthermore, this study is expected to contribute to building a technical background, which can provide comprehensive sensory experiences with not only blind people but also non-blind people such as children and the elderly through universal interaction techniques beyond existing visual-oriented fragmentary experience.

        다중감각 표현의 한ㆍ중 대조 연구

        This study contrastes the morphological and semantic characteristics of multisensory expression in Korean and Chinese. Multisensory is a combination between the senses, and multisensory expression verbalizes through word and phrase. First, multisensory expression appears in the form of word and clause in both languages. Korean is usually expressed only with adnominal clauses, but Chinese is expressed such as adnominal clause, adverbial clause and subject-predicate relation in a sentence. Next, the multisensory expression is semantically extended by the properties of the object. For example, dark, which indicates a psychological state, and rough, which indicates the characteristics of a specific object have similar meaning, but yellow shows a semantic difference in the color words in both languages.
