        Schlumberger soundings and dipole-dipole electrical surveys were carried out in and around the Pungam landfill in June and November, 1999. To elucidate the annual variation of resistivity structure in and around the landfill, 12 electrical soundings and 6 lines of dipole-dipole surveys were conducted. Interpretations of these data show that mean resistivity values become lower and thickness of contaminated layers by leachate thicker than those of the around the landfill. Especially, mean thicknesses of saturated layers with leachate increased by about 13.6m~46.2m and resistivities of bedrock decreased. From these results, resistivity variations in the landfill indicates contamination of layers is in progress. And it appears that contamination of weathered zone is in progress mainly inside and in the front area of the landfill.

      • 거주 형태에 따른 에너지 섭취량과 소비량의 균형도 조사

        We investigated that the effects of residential type on energy balance in college students. Total sixteen college students were participated in this study, all subjects were assigned one of three groups: either school attendee students group, self-governed living students group, dormitory students group. Routine physical activity level (for 5 days including three weekday and two weekend) and food intake were surveyed. For investigation of degree of physical activity, all subjects were requested to record on their physical movements as possible as detail should be obtained. To all subjects, five-day dietary log form was given, and used for examining of calorie intake from their routine diet. There was no statistical difference in energy intake and consumption in each. However energy consumption was significantly higher than energy uptake in school attendee students group. All other groups were shown a similar energy values between energy uptake and consumption. There were no significant differences in energy intake and consumption in any of experimental groups when comparisons were made between weekdays and weekend. As far as energy uptake was concerned it was no statistical difference in any of major nutrients among groups. In conclusion, partial imbalance was found between energy intake and uptake in school attendee groups. This may be due to their more active life style than other groups'. In future studies, better controlled study should be performed not only more subjects are recruited but also minor nutrients are included for examining of energy balance.

        In these competitve times, there is great pressure to improve customer service, and at the same time to find cost savings wherever possible. Many manufacturers use the private carrier, or the contracted transportation service, for the purpose of collecting and deilvering shipments for their facilities. Transportation is the largest component of logistics cost. Also, few researches have developed this field and they are fragmentary. The advanced in computer technology has resulted in the greatest impact on business since the industrial revolution. The transportation logistics is no exception to this pheomenon. Especially, Intelligent decision support system(IDSS), integrated expert system(ES) and decision support system(DSS), was significant technology in inventory parts. Therefore, this paper developed prototype IDSS for transportation logistics carrier selection. The focus is on the development of a simple, user-friendly tool that can be used effectively by managers to increase the cost-effectiveness of their transportation logestecs. The IDSS was constructed by using the tools of ART-IM expert system shell, CLIPPER, FORTRAN 77, and SLAMSYS simulation language.

        제품 및 공정설계를 위한 다구찌 방법

        제품 및 공정의 설계와 개선을 위한 다구찌 방법은 제품의 품질향상을 위한 획기적 방법으로 최근 많은 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 품질문제 해결을 위한 다구찌의 기본 전략을 종래의 전통적 개념과의 비교를 통해 소개하였으며, 구체적 방법으로서 직교배열에 의한 실험계획과 SN비를 바탕으로 한 파라미터 설계방법에 대해 다구찌의 견해와 다른 대안들을 함께 소개하고 앞으로의 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.

      • 알레르기성 비염 진단에서의 MAST CLA 결과

        Multiple allergosorbent test chemiluminescent assay (MAST CLA) is a simple method for in vitro measurement of allergen-specifie IgE antibodies. Total 125 patients was evaluated with Korean inhalant panel in diagnosis of allergic rhinitis. Overall positive rate was 53.6% and high incidence of allergen is house dust mite, house dust, cow's milk, mugwort, rye and brich. The results was slightly different from the results of large cities and the problem is absent item of domestic common trees. MAST CLA needs further improvement to be used as a primary screening test for allergy in Korea.

        신이식 환자에서 발생한 Nocardia elegans 폐농양 1예

        노카르디아는 면역 저하 환자에서 발생하는 기회 감염균으로 배양과 균 동정이 복잡하기 때문에 시기 적절한 진단과 치료가 어려울 때가 흔하다. 그러나 최근 16S 리보좀 RNA 염기서열 분석과 같은 새로운 분자생물학적 방법이 도입되면서 노카르디아 감염의 진단과 치료에 많은 도움이 되고 있다. 저자들은 신이식을 받은 39세 남자에서 발생한 N. eleeans에 의한 폐농양을 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. 환자는 항균제 감수성 결과에 따라 적절한 항균제로 치료하였고, 치료 종료 후 1년 동안 재발 없이 외래 경과 관찰 중이다. 본 증례를 통하여 이식 환자와 같은 면역 저하 환자에서 노카르디아 감염의 가능성을 고려하여야 하겠고 분자생물학적 방법에 의한 빠른 균 동정과 적절한 항균제 치료가 중요함을 기억하여야 하겠다. Nocardiosis is well-known opportunistic infection in immunocompromised patients. The timely diagnosis and treatment, however, is stilt a difficult problem. Recently, as newer molecular techniques, particularly 16S rRNA sequencing, are implemented, the diagnosis and management of the infection are improving. We report a case of lung abscess in a 39-year-o1d-man who underwent kidney transplantation. He was diagnosed of Nocardia elegans by 16S rRNA sequencing and was cured of the infection with appropriate antibiotic therapy.

        정상 월경주기에 따른 혈액 응고 기능의 변화 : 혈전탄성묘사도를 이용한 평가

        Background: As the menstruation has been thought to be associated with abnormal hemostasis and increased fibrinolytic activities, some surgeons and even anesthesiologists tend to postpone elective surgery. Many investigators have studied individual coagulation profiles and fibrinolytic activity during the menstruation, but conventional coagulation screens are frequently inadequate for the purpose of monitoring coagulation dynamically. This study was designed to evaluate the whole dynamic hemostatic process globally during the normal menstrual cycle by the thromboelastography (TEG). Methods: Thirty six-healthy, normally menstruating female volunteers wrote a menstruation diary about their menstruation cycle. Blood samples were obtained for TEG analysis 3 days before menstruation, the 1st day of menstruation, the 2nd day of menstruation, the last day of menstruation and 5days after menstruation. TEG coagulation indices (R value, K value, α angle, WBCL160 during menstruation compared with pre- or post-menstruation period, but there was a significant decrease in the MA value on the 1st day of the menstruation. Conclusions: The result of our study showed the possibility of abnormal hemostatic function on the 1st day of menstruation. However, the more study is needed to confirm the possibility of bleeding tendency during surgery on the 1st day of menstruation. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2002; 43: 413~417)

        This paper proposes a novel solar tracking algorithm for improving of photovoltaic(PV) efficiency with tracking method. A novel solar tracking algorithm calculates the global latitude and longitude of earth with sun. Also, it considers the refraction of atmosphere, annual oscillation and perturbation of moon. Proposed algorithm is applied the PV generation unit with tracking method and observes the azimuth and altitude. Observed data compare to korea astronomy observatory and conventional position solar algorithm(PSA) data and analyzes the accuracy. Therefore, the validity of this paper proves by analyzed data.
