        푸른길 공원의 대기 환경 특성에 관한 연구

        Objectives: This study aimed to survey the characteristics of air quality and meteorological conditions in a greenway park. Methods: We measured meteorological and health related factors, including noise, particulate matter ($PM_{10}$) and selected gaseous air pollutants at three locations in a greenway park and on a general roadside as comparison. The measurements were repeated four times from April to October 2014. Results: The average air temperature in the greenway park was $20.7^{\circ}C$ which was $1-2^{\circ}C$ lower than on the general roadside. The average $PM_{10}$ concentration in the greenway park was $85.0{\mu}g/m^3$, a level 2-3 times lower than that at the roadside. The noise level at the greenway site was 4.4 dB(A)- 23.0 dB(A) lower than at the roadside. The average CO, $CO_2$, $SO_2$ and NOx concentrations in the greenway park were lower than at the roadside. The average phytoncide and anions concentrations in the greenway park were higher than at the roadside. Conclusions: The urban forest of the greenway park may have some impact on air quality and meteorological conditions.

        A comparison of fixation methods using three-dimensional finite element analysis following anterior segmental osteotomy

        Objectives: This study sought to evaluate fixation methods and determine the best method for the postoperative stabilization of maxillary osteotomy. For our analysis we performed a three-dimensional finite element analysis of stress distribution on the plate, screw, and surrounding bone, as well as displacement onto the plate. Materials and Methods: We generated a model using synthetic skull scan data; an initital surface model was changed to a solid model using software. Modified anterior segmental osteotomy (using Park’s method) was made using the program, and four different types of fixation methods were used. An anterior load of 100 N was applied on the palatal surface of two central incisors. Results: The Type 1 (L-shaped) fixation method gave stresses of 187.8 MPa at the plate, 45.8 MPa at the screw, and 15.4 MPa at the bone around the plate. The Type 2 (I-shaped) fixation method gave stresses of 186.6 MPa at the plate, 75.7 MPa at the screw, and 13.8 MPa at the bone around the plate. The Type 3 (inverted L-shaped) fixation method gave stresses of 28.6 MPa at the plate, 29.9 MPa at the screw, and 15.3 MPa at the bone around the plate. The Type 4 (I-shaped) fixation method gave stresses of 34.8 MPa at the plate, 36.9 MPa at the screw, and 14.9 MPa at the bone around the plate. The deflection of the plates for the four fixation methods was 0.014 mm, 0.022 mm, 0.017 mm, and 0.018 mm, respectively. Conclusion: The Type 3 (inverted L-shaped) fixation method offers more stability than the other fixation methods. We therefore recommend this method for the postoperative stabilization of maxillary osteotomy.

        Poly(vinylbenzyl chloride-glycidyl methacrylate)/Polyethylene Composite Anion Exchange Membranes for Vanadium Redox Battery Application

        Anion exchange membranes for a vanadium redox flow battery (VRB) were prepared by pore-filling on a PE substrate with the copolymerization of vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC) and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA). The ion exchange capacity, water uptake and weight gain ratio were increased with a similar tendency up to 65% of GMA content, indicating that the monomer improved the pore-filling degree and membrane properties. The vanadium ion permeability and open-circuit voltage were also investigated. The permeability of the VG65 membrane was only $1.23{\times}10^{-7}\;cm^2\;min^{-1}$ compared to $17.9{\times}10^{-7}\;cm^2\;min^{-1}$ for Nafion 117 and $1.8{\times}10^{-7}\;cm^2\;min^{-1}$ for AMV. Consequently, a VRB single cell using the prepared membrane showed higher energy efficiency (over 80%) of up to 100 cycles compared to the commercial membranes, Nafion 117 (ca. 58%) and AMV (ca. 70%).

      • 비만학생들의 운동후 회복시 초과 산소소비량 및 지속시간에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of two different intensity of continuous exercise on magnitude of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption(EPOC), energy consumption following a 20min treadmill exercise. The subjects of this study were eight super-obesity in middle school students who were above 13 years old. subjects participated in two different exercise intensity to measure respiratory gas, blood lactate concentration and eardrum temperature. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The Energy consumption of the high intensity (80% VO₂ max) exercise group (264.68 35.60cal) was greater than that of the low intensity (50%) exercise group(172.01 20.39 Cal)(p<.001). 2. The EPOC of the high intensity exercise group (22.36+ 6.82Cal ) was greater than that of the low intensity exercise group(15.39+5.27 Cal)(p<.001). 3. The EPOC duration of th high intensity exercise group(28.36=3.56min) was longer than that of the low intensity exercise group(17.23+1.25min)(p<.001) 4. The blood lactate concentration, respiratory exchange ratio and temperature of the high intensity exercise group were greater than those of the low intensity exercise group(p<.05,p<.01). EPOC and duration were increase with 80%VO₂max, 80% VO₂max as intensity exercise got higher this also showed that it had something to do with lactate concentration in blood and increase of body temperature in the conclusion. We considered that there was a difference in using methods of energy, as there was a similar difference in RER. We though this following with oxygen consumption after exercise, we could clarify that high intensity exercise was better than lower intensity exercise in sametime for those who are obese especially adolescents to maintain their weights on the aspect of effect.

        Effects of Regular Exercise and L-Arginine Intake on Abdominal Fat, GH/IGF-1 Axis, and Circulating Inflammatory Markers in the High Fat Diet-Induced Obese Aged Rat

        본 연구는 비만과 노화가 동시에 유발된 흰쥐에서 12주간의 트레드밀 운동과 L-arginine의 투여가 복부지방량, GH, IGF-Ⅰ, somatostatin, fibrinogen, PAI-1에 미치는 영향을 관찰하고 이를 개선하는데 더욱 효과적인 방법을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 단독 처치 군과 복합 처치 군으로 나누어 실험하여 그 효과를 비교, 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 복부지방량은 통제집단에 비해 모든 집단에서 유의하게 감소하였다(p<0.01). 2. AG+EX, AG+LA+EX집단에서 통제집단에 비해 GH의 혈중 농도가 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<0.1). 3. AG+EX, AG+LA+EX집단에서 통제집단에 비해 IGF-Ⅰ의 혈중 농도가 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.01). The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of exercise and/or L-arginine on abdominal fat, IGF-1 on GH/IGF-1 axis, fibrinogen, and PAI-1 in aged and obese rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were treated with a D-galactose aging inducing agent (50 mg/kg) given intraperitoneally for 12 weeks. Thirty-two male Sprague-Dawley rats were treated and divided into four groups: aging-high fat diet group (AG+HF), AG+HF with L-arginine intake group (AG+LA), AG+HF with exercise group (AG+EX), and AG+EX with L-arginine intake group (AG+LA+EX). The experimental rats underwent treadmill training (60 min/day, 6 days/week at 0% gradient) for 12 weeks. L-arginine was given orally (150 mg/kg/day) for 12 weeks. After the experiment, blood was collected from the left ventricle and abdominal fat was extracted. The results showed that GH was significantly increased in AG+EX and AG+AL+EX. IGF-1 was significantly increased in both the AG+AL+EX and AG+EX group (p<0.05), while fibrinogen and PAI-1 were not significantly different among the groups. Abdominal fat was significantly decreased in the AG+LA, AG+EX, and AG+LA+EX groups (p<0.05) compared with the AG+HF group. In conclusion, this study suggests that exercise alone or L-arginine alone or a combination not only increases the GH and IGF-1 concentration, but also decreases the abdominal fat mass.

        흰쥐에서 심정지후 Pentoxifylline이 뇌의 허혈-재관류 손상에 미치는 효과

        Background: Two major events occurring in the cerebral hemodynamics after successful resuscitation from cardiac arrest are reactive hyperemia and postischemic hypoperfusion. In this study, we examined the effect of Pentoxifylline(PTX) on the rat brain following cardiac arrest. Methods: Fourteen rats were anesthetized and artificially ventilated. Cardiac arrest was produced by chest compression and clamping of tracheal tube for 3 minutes in ketamine anesthetized rats. Circulation was restored by standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation methods. In 7 rats, PTX 10mg/kg was infused at 10min after cardiac arrest(PTX group). In the other 7 rats, same amount of normal saline was infused(control group). Results: In both groups, hemodynamic variables, neurologic deficit(ND) score and histopathologic findings of hippocampal CA1 neurons were observed. Hemodynamic variables and ND score were not significantly different between two groups. Delayed ischemic neurons of hippocampal CA1 were decreased in PTX group(2.2±2.4%) compared with control group(9.1±1.2%). Conclusions: We conclude that PTX prevented development of delayed ischemic neurons in hippocampal CA1 after cardiac arrest. PTX may be useful in emergency situations following cardiac arrest.

        단신 : 실리콘의 염소화반응에 의한 사염화규소 제조

        직경 25 mm의 파이렉스 튜브 내에서 실리콘의 유동층 염소화 반응이 수행되었다. 반응기에 공급되는 질소 유량0.8~1.0 L/min, 염소 유량 0.2 L/min, 반응온도 450℃, SiCl4 응축기의 냉매온도는 -5℃로 설정하였다. 반응기에 도입되는 가스 내 염소의 몰분율이 증가하면 SiCl4의 수율이 증가하였다. 반응가스 중 염소의 몰분율 0.2의 조건에서 SiCl4의 수율은 28% 이었다. 염소의 몰분율 증가는 반응열 상승에 의해 반응온도 상승을 가져옴으로써 안전을 고려하여 염소의 몰분율을 0.2 이상으로 올리지 못했다. 실리콘의 유동층 염소화 반응에 의한 사염화실리콘의 제조 가능성이 입증되 었으며, 향후 보다 가혹한 조건에서의 실용화 연구를 위한 기초로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The chlorination of a metallurgical-grade silicon was carried out in a fluidized bed reactor, 25 mm in diameter. The flow rate of the chlorine admitted into the reactor was 0.2 L/min and that of the carrier nitrogen was 0.8~1.0 L/ min. The reactor temperature was maintained at 450℃ and the temperature of the coolant at the SiCl4 condenser was at -5℃. The SiCl4 yield increased with increasing the mole fraction of chlorine in the feed gas, exhibiting 28% at the mole fraction of 0.2. Further increase of the chlorine mole fraction was not attempted in a worry that the reactor might be failed due to the high exothermicity of the reaction. The production of SiCl4 from silicon by fluidized bed chlorination was demonstrated on a laboratory scale, which is a stepping stone for future studies under more severe conditions toward industrial application.

        Studies on Lytic, Tailed Bacillus cereus-specific Phage for Use in a Ferromagnetoelastic Biosensor as a Novel Recognition Element

        This study investigated the feasibility of the lytic, tailed Bacillus cereus-specific phage for use in a ferromagnetoelastic (FME) biosensor as a novel recognition element. The phage was immobilized at various concentrations through either direct adsorption or a combination of 11-mercapto-1-undecanoic acid (11-MUA) and [N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-N’-carbodiimide hydrochloride and N-hydroxysuccinimide (EDC/NHS)]. The effects of time and temperature on its lytic properties were investigated through the exposure of B. cereus (4 and 8 logCFU/ml) to the phage (8 logPFU/ml) for various incubation periods at 22°C and at various temperatures for 30 and 60 min. As the phage concentration increased, both immobilization methods also significantly increased the phage density (p < 0.05). SEM images confirmed that the phage density on the FME platform corresponded to the increased phage concentration. As the combination of 11-MUA and EDC/NHS enhanced the phage density and orientation by up to 4.3-fold, it was selected for use. When various incubation was conducted, no significant differences were observed in the survival rate of B. cereus within 30 min, which was in contrast to the significant decreases observed at 45 and 60 min (p < 0.05). In addition, temperature exerted no significant effects on the survival rate across the entire temperature range. This study demonstrated the feasibility of the lytic, tailed B. cereus-specific phage as a novel recognition element for use in an FME biosensor. Thus, the phage could be placed on the surface of foods for at least 30 min without any significant loss of B. cereus, as a result of the inherent lytic activity of the B. cereus-specific phage as a novel recognition element.

      • 초등학생의 1000m 달리기-걷기 평가방법에 관한 연구

        This research aims to develop a new evuluation method of endurance for elementary school students. The norm of the event of 1,000m running-walking was examined and reviewed. As a result, a new highly-valid norm for the present 1,000m running-walking was made. Among the 5th and 6th graders, 2,144 pupils were chosen. The subjects were given 1,000m running-walking and step test. The new norm led to the following results: 1. The frequency distribution of PEI according to Cajori's 5-stage evaluation method turned out to be normal for both 5th and 6th graders. In conclusion, this new norm of 1,000m running-walking is believed to provide more valid and credible scores for elementary school students. The 1,000m running-walking records and the PEI will be used as the basic data for foretelling one's endurance.

      • 무산소 운동 후 발마사지가 피로회복에 미치는 영향

        The study was aimed to identify the effects of foot massage on fatigue recovery after anaerobic exercise. 10 subjects on basketball player performed anaerobic exercise(wingate test)to examine the physical work capacity. Each subject was treated one of two recovery methods(foot massage, rest recovery). Blood lactate was analyzed at pre-exercise, 5, 10 and 15 minutes. The major finds of this study were as follows; first, Blood lactate concentration was removed more rapidly with foot massage than with rest recovery during the post-exercise recovery period. second, Recovery time of blood lactate concentration was significant from 10 to 15minutes with foot massage during the post-exercise recovery period. In conclusion, The result of this study was noticed that fatigue is recovered more rapidly with foot massage than with rest recovery method after maximal exercise. It means that the foot massage is considered as a means of keeping the physical activity and sports.
