      • 양이온성 계면활성제 미셀(Micelle)의 크기 및 구조에 대한 작은 각 중성자(SANS) 산란 연구

        Micelles formed above critical micelle concentration(CMC) in surfactant aqueous solutions are homogeneous and transparent. Their existence are not observed by electron microscopy, which is difficult to analyze size and structures. The small-angle neutron scattering(SANS) method are widely used in colloidal systems since it explains their interaction as well as size and structure of association structures formed in surfactant aqueous solution. This study interpreted size and structure of micelles formed in cationic surfactant alkyltrimethylammonium chloride (C_(n)TAC) by SANS spectra. The relationship of alkyl chain length(n=12, 16, and 18) and size of micelle is changed linearly. The structural transition isn't observed with increasing concentration for each surfactant. However, intermicellar distance from spectra peak point decreases with concentration and almost constant above 250 mM. This means that structural change of micelles is predicted at higher concentration.

      • 밤바구미(Curculio dentipes) 월동 중 휴면 유충의 Ecdysteroid의 농도 변화

        월동 중인 밤바구미(Curculio dentipes) 휴면 유충의 발생에 따른 ecdysone과 20-hydroxyecdysone의 농도를 high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)를 이용하여 측정하였다. Ecdysone 농도는 pre-diapausing larvae(19.81ng/g)에서 최저치를 나타내었고, diapausing larvae(29.97ng/g)에서 최대를 보였으며, post-diapausing larvae(25.71ng/g)에서 약간 감소하였다. 그러나 20-hydroxyecdysone은 pre-diapausing larvae(29.29ng/g)에서 가장 높은 농도를 보인 후, diapausing larvae(5.05ng/g)에서 급격히 감소하였고, post-diapausing larvae(12.53ng/g)에서 다시 증가하는 경향을 보여 생리기능상 역관계를 나타내었다. The concentration of ecdysteroid was measured in the pre-diapausing, diapausing, and post-diapausing larvae of the chestnut weevil. Curculio dentipes. Ecdysteroid titers were measured by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) during developmental stages. The concentration of ecdysone was the minimum(19.81ng/g) at pre-diapausing larvae and the maximum(29.97ng/g) at diapausing larvae, and it decreased to 25.71ng/g at post-diapausing larvae, and then kept relatively at high level. But the amount of 20-hydroxyecdysone was the highest value at pre-diapausing larvae(29.29ng/g) and minimum(5.05ng/g) at diapausing larvae, but it increased to the 12.53ng/g at post-diapausing larvae. In conclusion, the relationship between ecdysone and 20-hydroxyecdysone titer was shown to be inverse.

      • 부신 결핵에 의한 Addison씨병 1예

        Addison's disease is a rare primary adrenal insufficient disorder resulting from chronic deficiency of adrenal cortical hormones. Clinical manefestations are generalized weakenss, weight loss, hyperpigmentation (especially sun exposed area and mucous membrane), hypotension, hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, gastrointestinal symptoms (involving anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain). A 34-year-old woman has experienced slowly progressive generalized weakenss and skin pigmentation, anorexia, nausea, vomiting with ascites and diffuse abdominal pain. On the time of admission, her main clinical manifestations were anorexia, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, generalized weakness, amenorrhea, hair loss, diffuse abdominal pain revealed as Addison's disease due to bilateral adrenal tuberculosis. Her adrenal insufficient symptoms were recovered with the replacement of adrenocortical hormones and antituberculous medications. After treatment, Her skin pigmentation was decreased and menstruation was reappeared. Here we experienced one cases of Addison's disease with tuberculous peritonitis.

      • 생쥐의 발정주기에 따른 자궁내막의 점액질에 관한 조직화학적 연구

        Histochemical studies to elucidate the changes of properties and composition in the endomeritum of uterine horn and body of the normal adult mice were done during proestures, estrus, metestrus and diestrus. The determination of estrus cycle was confirmed by means of the papanicolaou smear method, and the mucosubstances were stained with alcian blue pH 2.5 and 1.0, PAS, alcian blue pH 2.5-PAS, alcian blue pH 1.0-PAS, aldehyde fuchsin pH 1.7-alcian blue pH 2.5, and high iron diamine-alcian blue pH 2.5 methods. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 1. The mucosubstances in the free surface of epithelial and glandular epithelial cells in endometrium of uterine horn and body were the mixture of acid and neutral mucins during proestrus, metestrus and diestrus. The acid mucins were the mixture of the sulfated and nonsulfated mucins, and the amount of the sulfated mucin was more prominent than nonsulfated mucin. During estrus the amount of mucosubstances was more increased than other periods of the estrus cycle. In the endomeritum of uterine horn and body, the free surface of epithelial cells contained a lot of strongly sulfated and neutral mucins, and that of glandular epithelial cells contained sulfated, nonsulfated and neutral mucins, and increased especially the amount of strongly sulfated mucin. 2. In the endometrium of uterine horn and body, the mucosubstances in the luminal substances and stroma did not show any significant charges according to eastrus cycle. The luminal substances contained a lot of neutral mucin and a a little of sulfated and nonsulfated mucins, and the stroma contained a little of neutral, sulfated and nonsulfated mucins.

      • 일부 성인들의 비타민제 섭취 여부에 따른 건강 관심도와 영양지식 수준에 관한 연구 : 항산화 비타민 A, C. E를 중심으로 한

        The purpose of this study was to identify the relation to health concern level and nutritional knowledge level by status of taking vitamin supplements of adults. A self-administered questionnaire was used as a data collection from the 462 adults and the questionnaire included general characteristics of subjects, factors related to health. status of vitamin supplements habit and nutritional knowledge of antioxidant vitamins. There were higher taking rates in females over males, as with old age over youth, high education level(university) over low(high school) and high household income over low household income. BMI had insignificant between two groups, taking and Non-taking vitamin supplements. Health concern level in taking group had also statistically insignificant. Higher nutritional knowledge level was shown in females over male. But age and education level were statistically insignificant. Though there was high nutritional knowledge level with high household income rate, it was statistically insignificant as well nutritional knowledge level in taking group were higher than in non-taking group, it was statistically significant. There were no statistically significant variations between health concern level and nutritional knowledge level. The respondents' purpose of taking vitamin supplements was measured as, "sufficient supplement of nutrition and improvement health" 42.9%, "supplement of nutrition in eyes" 22.8% and "antioxidants and prevention of colds" 17.4%. The respondents' purpose of non-taking was measured as, "confidence in one's health" 32.5%, "sufficient nutrition within meals" 25.1 % and "bother" 19.7%. The respondents' motive of taking supplements was measured as, "Prescription of doctor, pharmacist and nutritionist" 35.7%, "invitation of family" 20.9%, and "mass media" 20.9%. Multi vitamins were taken by 32% of those surveyed, and vitamin C by 27.1%. In terms of the number of different kinds of vitamin supplements taken, 56.5% took one kind, 30.4% took two kinds, and 11.3% took three kinds. In terms of the frequency of consumption, 24.9% of respondents took supplements "case by case(catch a cold, drinking .etc)", 32.4% took them "regularly" and 42.7% took them occasionally. The above findings show that a group of high education level, age and household income level had a trend of high taking rate. There was an especially high taking rate within those with high nutritional knowledge. So to promote good health through a well balanced dietary life and appropriate use of nutritional supplements, improving nutritional knowledge is essential. Finally, this study suggested that nutritional education should be promoted as a basic necessity for nationwide good health.

      • 韓國의 米穀生産과 그 變化

        Through the years 1910-1972 the crop area of rice in Korea has increased by 20 perc'nt;the production of rice had increased by 180 percent; the per Tanbo yield increased by 262 percent except for North Korea. In 1972, the value of the rice. production 3.96 million?? or 67 percent of the total value of agricultural products in Korea. The crop area of rice during the same year was 1,200,000ha. or 56 percent of the total crop area. Rice can be found grown in all provinces of Korea and as rice is the staple foodstuff. Considering temperature alone, we shall see that rice can be planted in all rice regions of Korea. Most of the rice crop is distributed west plain, where irrigation is well developed. The rice of Korea falls into two categories; the paddy rice and the upland rice: However, the importance of the upland rice is far less than that of paddy rice. In 1972, rice crop area was 1,200,000ha of which 99 percent was the area of the paddy while 1 percent was that of the upland rice. During the Japanese occupation of Korea, the increase in the quantity of the rice for export had higher rate than the increase of production. But, nowadays Korea imported rice 3 million tons a year. The production cost of the rice in Korea may be divided into two categories; the direct and the indirect. The direct one includes the cost for labor, fertilizer and seeds, with the cost constituting the largest portion as generally exceeding 38%; the fertilizer cost comes next, constituting also 7 percent. the seed cost conttitutes only 2 percent. In Korea, for the self-sufficient foodstuff it is imperative to expand the agricultural land and resources in which irrigation project and cultivated land abjustment should be developed.

        고등학교 지구과학 '광물의 감정' 내용에 대한 컴퓨터 보조학습 프로그램이 16 bit IBM-PC 기종에서 학습할 수 있도록 한국형 저작도구(KAS)로 개발되었다. 이 프로그램은 하이퍼텍스트 및 인터럽트 기능 등을 이용하여 만들어 졌으며 학습자가 혼자서 학습할 수 있는 반복 연습형이다. 그리고 이 프로그램은 학습자와 컴퓨터와의 상호작용 효과를 고려하여 제작되었다. 'Judgememt of Minerals' Muitimedia program is developed as an helping tool for the content of high school earth science with 16 bit IBM-PC compatible computer using 'KAS(Korea Authoring System) Ver.3.0'. This program is Drill and Practice type for individual study through, hypertext, interupt functions. And the program is considered to the reciprocal action effect between learner and computer.

        톨루엔을 포함한 유기용제의 직업적 폭로로 인한 신경내분비계 영향

        Long term occupational exposure to solvent mixtures may cause adverse effects to the central nervous system with neurobehavioral symptoms. And some organic slovents have been suggested to cause impairment of tuberoinfundibular dopaminergic activity and neurochemical mechanisms controlling pituitary secretion. For the purpose of assessing neuroendocrine effects in occupational solvents exposure, hormonal study settings (shoes-manufacturing industry & fishing products industry) and compared with nonexposed controls(33 men, 85 women). Male workers exposed to solvent mixtures had significantly lower plasma level of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) than nonexposed male controls. While female workers exposed to solvent mixtures had significantly lower plasma levels of growth hormone(GH), and thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH) than nonexposed female controls. The results of significant decrease in plasma concentrations of pituitary hormones(FSH, GH, and TSH) in workers exposed solvent mixtures indicate that occupational exposure to solvent mixtures may induce neuroendocrine effects through an effect on hypothalamic pituitary axis.

      • 귀하식물, 가시상추(Lactuca serriola)의 서식환경

        귀하식물, 가시상추가 형성하는 군락구조와 무기환경요인을 연구하였다. 가시상추의 군락은 Kummerovia stipulacea, Setaria viridis, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Youngia sonchifolia, Cephalonoplos segetum, Lactuca indica, Ixeris chinensis, Cosmos bipinnatus등이 우점하고 있었다. 서식지의 토양환경은 pH 7.8의 약알칼리였으며 높은 유기물 함량과 낮은 중금속 함량을 보였다. 따라서 전령적인 황지식물의 특성을 보였다. 종자의 발아조건은 pH 2.6 이상이었고, 생장조절상에서 확인한 유묘의 제한요인에 의한 피해는 광도 500 Lux, pH 6, 일시위조점 pF 2.0, 영구위조점은 pF 2.5이었다. Biotic community structures and abiotic environmental factors of a neophyte, prickly lettuce, were studied. The community was composed of dominant species of Kummerovia stipulacea, Setaria viridis, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Youngia sonchifolia, Cephalonoplos segetum, Lactuca indica, Ixeris chinensis and Cosmos bipinnatus. The habitat soil was slightly alkaline with pH 7.8, high organic matter contents, and low in heavy metal contents. Therefore, it showed typical characteristics of the ruderal environment. The seeds were germinated in the condition of above pH 2.6 and injuries of the seedling by the limiting factors in the controlled environment chamber occurred at 500 Lux of light intensity, pH 6.0, tempory wilting point of pF 2.0 and permanent wilting point of pF 2.5.

      • W/O 마이크로에멀젼의 크기와 구조 분석 및 이를 이용한 Ag 나노막대의 제조

        This study investigated on sizes and structures of water-in-oil microemulsions composed of AOT/cyclohexane/aqueous solutions by small-angle neutron scattering method. From SANS spectra it is observed that spherical form whose size is 4-10㎚ and cylindrical form whose length is 25-30㎚ are formed at four different microemulsion regions. The silver nanopaticles (sherical and rod0like) are prepared at ME4 and ME10 which ratio three components as 7.35/91.81/0.84 and 37.63/57.20/5.17, respectively.
