This paper provides a comparison of two approaches to English rhythmic adjustment, stress clash-based metrical approaches and intonation-based approaches. It argues that clash-based analyses be better ones seeing that their key notion of stress clash is consistently needed to give adequate accounts to the rhythmic adjustment of both the phonological phrase and the intonational phrase. However, it is also proposed that metrical analyses of rhythmic adjustment be replaced by a constraint-based one since the latter makes it possible to relate both the factors of rhythmic adjustment, rhythm and phrasing factors, through constraint interaction.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how is the difference at the quality of friendship of age and the intimacy degree of student-teacher according to the teenagers' sex distinction, and also, how is the difference at the quality of friendship of age and the intimacy degree of teacher according to the functional, dispositional, and sixteen nature types by MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) test. Moreover, it is to help teachers and advisers at school which teenagers spend a lot of time, at consultation office, and at other institutions recognize the difference according to the sex distinction and the nature type, and also to help them improve the relationship between teenagers and teachers. The subject of this study were 560 students ( boys:308, girls:252) of academic high school located in Seoul and Busan. As a study tool, the MBTI Questionnaire was used to inspect the nature type of teenagers, the Friendship Quality Questionnaire:FQQ which was made by Parker and Asher was used to measure the friendship of age, and the questionnaire for the inspection of intimacy degree of student-teacher was used. For the collected data, the SAS pc program was conducted and according to the study problems, X2-test and the one-way ANOVA were carried out. To see the general characteristics, the frequency and the percentage were used and to see the quality of friendship of age and the intimacy degree of teacher, the mean and standard deviation were used. And then, for the post-verification, the independent t-test was also carried out. To see the quality of friendship of age according to the nature type of teenagers and to see the intimacy degree of teacher, the mean and the standard deviation were used, and then, the Duncan verification was conducted for the post verification. To summarize the results according to the study problems are as follows; First, there was a meaningful difference at the quality of friendship of age according to the sex distinction of teenagers (It I = 8.19, p<.001). That is, girls recognized more highly the friendship of age than boys, and in the intimacy degree of teacher, there was no difference between boys and girls. Second, there was no difference at the quality of friendship of age according to the functional nature type of teenagers, and also, there was no difference in the intimacy degree of teacher. Third, at the quality of friendship of age according to the teenagers' nature, there appeared some differences between the SP(Sensible Perceiving)type and the NT(iNtuitional Thinking)type(F=2.97, P<.05). And, in the intimacy degree of teacher, there appeared some differences between the SJ(Sensible Judging)type, the NT(iNtuitional Thinking)type, and the NF(iNtuitional Feeling)type and the SP(Sensible Perceiving)type(F=2.83, p<.05). Finally, at 16 Types according the MBTI test, there were some differences in the ESFJ group and the ISTP group recognizing the friendship of age (F=3.85, p<.001), and there was no difference in the intimacy degree of teacher.

무우종자의 발아촉진에 관한 연구

The changes of some components in the cell and germination rate of Raphonus Sativus L. seeds that were treated with GA₃, KINETIN and NAA were observed. The results were follows: 1. The content of soluble protein was increased in homogenate and cytosolic fractions of GA₃, and KINETIN treated seeds compared with one of control. 2. The content of glucose was increased in homoginate and cytosoli fractions of GA₃and KINETIN treated seeds compared with one of control on the half and the first day. 3. The activity of trehalase was increased in homogenate and cytosolic fractions of seeds which treated with GA₃and KINETIN compared with one of control on the first day. 4. The ATPase did not changed in all fractions of the untreated and stimulant treated seeds, during germination stages. 5. The germination rate was remarkedly increased by continuous soak treatment of GA₃and KINETIN on the first and second days but in the case of NAA treatment, it was very smiliar to control.

텔레커뮤팅(재택근무)의 특성과 교통수요의 변화

The emergence of new information technologies and recent advances in existing telecommunication technologies significantly affects our daily lives. This paper presents what changes then will our lives undergo in the near future if we accept telecommuting, a new system born as a result of the telecommunication technology development. Once workplaces become identical to residences, many changes are expected to occur in the daily lives of individuals, such as the reduced commuting time, securement of spare time, and arbitrariness related to time distribution. Of such many changes, what connection will telecommuting have in deciding private travel demand? What characteristics will the time and space, required by the daily lives of the telecommuters leading the informatized society, carry? It has been confirmed that the Korean telecommuters form unique time and space patterns which are distinctive from those of persons going to existing offices. With respect to commuting frequency, in particular, a pattern entirely different from that of foreign countries has been noted, indicating travel can be reduced to an extent capable of contributing to the solving of traffic problems. Even the trip chaining is entirely different from those of common employees. However, introduction of telecommuting does not seem so simple. In order to reflect telecommuting in future traffic policies and city planning, we should approach with an understanding that travel demand is generated by the individuals in line with their daily activities. As future projects, therefore, detailed quantitative researches should be carried out in relation to the construction of modelling, such as the estimation of time it takes for the telecommuting to be reflected in traffic policies and city planning, detailed surveys and analysis with respect to time spent by the people in the information-oriented society, and the surveys and analysis of the space pattern connected with the time usage.

산포도와 머루중의 Polyphenol Oxidase에 관한 연구¹

Polyphenol oxidase was partially purified from fresh vitis flexuosa and vitis amurensis and its characteristics were studied. the experimental results were summarized as follows. 1.The enzyme activities were increased during the fruit developement gradually in two sample. 2.The optimum pH and temperature for activity were 5.5 and 30℃, respectively. 3.The enzyme was active with o-phenols and trihydroxyphenol, but inactive toward m-diphenols and monophenols. 4.The ?? value of the enzymes was 15.4 mM in vitis flexuosa and 12.5 mM in vitis amurensis with catechol as substrate. 5.Inhibitors sudies indicated that sodium diethyl-dithiocarbamate, L-cysteine, sodium bisulfite, L-ascorbic acid and 2-mercaptoeyhanol were the most potent. 6.The enzyme activity increament by ?? was much better than those by the other metal ions.

<열녀박씨계약결혼뎐>에 나타난 열녀 화소 수용 방식에 대하여

최근 드라마에서 <열녀박씨계약결혼뎐>, <밤에 피는 꽃> 등 수절 과부가 주인공으로 등장하면서 열녀 화소가 부각되는 작품들이 연속적으로 등장해 눈길을 끈다. 그 중 <열녀박씨계약결혼뎐>은 동명의 웹소설(2020)을 드라마화한 것으로, 작가가 작품의 창작 배경으로 박지원의 <열녀함양박씨전>을 언급하였다. 이에 본고는 웹소설 <열녀박씨계약결혼뎐>의 서사를 중심으로 21세기 한국 웹소설, 드라마 등에 수용된 열녀 관련 내용을 분석하였고, 그 결과 오늘날 콘텐츠에서 열녀 화소를 수용하는 방식은 열 이데올로기에 대한 비판은 기정사실로 간주하면서 열녀 화소를 작품의 서사를 추동하는 사건의 시작이나 혹은 서사의 긴장을 유지하는 수단으로 활용함을 알 수 있었다. Movies with a critical view of the yeolnyeo(烈⼥, virtuous women who stayed loyal to her late husband) ideology began to appear in the late 1960s. Movies about yeolnyeo kept being produced until the 1980s but more or less disappeared afterwards. Recently, however, several K-dramas such as Yeolnyeo Bakssi Gyeyak Gyeolhondyeon (Yeolneyo Park’s Contract Marriage) and Bame Pineun Kkot (Night Flower) have dealt with the yeolnyeo motif. Among them, Yeolnyeo Bakssi Gyeyak Gyeolhondyeon is based on a web novel of the same title which was published in 2020. The author mentioned that she got the idea for her novel from Yeolnyeo Hamyang Bakssijeon, an eighteenth century story about a yeolnyeo who killed herself after her husband’s death. This paper analyzes how yeolnyeo narrative is appropriated in today’s Korean web novels and dramas. It examines how these contents treat the critical viewpoint on yeolnyeo ideology as a fait accompli while using the yeolnyeo motif as a means to give an impetus to the story’s development and to increase and maintain the dramatic tension of the story.

Pilomatricoma was histopathologically diagnosed in a 2.5-year-old male Alaskan malamute. The patient was referred to Chungnam National University, Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital with solitary, firm and well-circumscribed mass at shoulder. Grossly, the mass was dome shaped to tumor like and 10 x 8 x 5㎝ in size. Some lesions had gritty or bony consistency and was chalky when sectioned Histopathologic feature included mumerous clusters of tightly arranged, basaloid cells with evenly distributed chromatin and ghost cells were characterized by a central unstained zone. The ghost cells often become calcified and osseous metaplasia was also present.

Clostridium difficile 장염에 의한 속발성 유전분증에서 발현된 독성 장염

Amyloidosis is characterized by extracellular deposition of protein fibrils in one or multiple organs. AA amyloidosis is secondarily occurred to be related with chronic infections or inflammatory diseases. We report a 67-year-old man suffered from secondary AA amyloidosis related with chronic Clostridium difficile colitis after repeated total hip replacement surgery. Infection control is the most important treatment of AA amyloidosis secondary to chronic infection. However, the patient’s C. difficile colitis was not controlled well, eventually toxic megacolon with sepsis was developed. Consequently, he had to take total colectomy, but he expired with multi-organ failures. We suggested that early surgical procedure might be one option for intractable C. difficile colitis complicated with secondary amyloidosis.
