Hydropower energy is well known as clean renewable energy. In particular, hydroelectric energy has a great advantage in that it has high efficiency compared to other energy sources. In addition, it is possible to obtain stable and constant output at all times due to its high operating rate. Compared to other countries, Korea has mountainous terrain and many small rivers. In these sites, it will be possible to build a power generation facility with a micro-level output rather than a high power generation output. The most important factors in determining generator output are flow and head. In order to operate the generator most efficiently, a constant flow rate must be maintained at all times, and the amount of head must be be the same. In general, small rivers in rural areas have large fluctuations in flow rate. Therefore, the selection of the water turbine is very important. In this study, a cross-flow water turbine that can easily respond to changes in flow rate selected, and a squirrel cage induction generator was applied in consideration of economic feasibility and maintenance when selecting a generator. This research team compared and analyzed the difference between design and operation through simulation and measurement of the power and power factor obtained from the induction generator when it is installed and operated in the field after determining the output considering the flow rate and the head.

This study is performed to develop an educational authoring package which helps teachers produce English vocabulary learning materials with ease. For this purpose an authoring package "Wordbank" is designed in relation to English conversation class. The authoring package, "Wordbank" provides teachers with convenient way to produce vocabulary learning materials and also provides students with a chance to practice and evaluate the vocabularies dealt in classrooms. "Wordbank" has a database with 3 kinds of vocabulary learning exercises. With this package teachers can input new vocabulary items and search for the wanted vocabulary items related to the text, and give a test with exercise sets. Students can search and practice vocabularies in the text not only for the preparation for the class but also for the review of the class. Considering that web-based programs in general have difficulty in providing materials related to the class lessons and editing the contents, "Wordbank" is expected to effectively provide more chances of vocabulary learning to students.

This paper presents an underwater acoustic communication with nonlinear chirp modulation. The information is carried by the carrier amplitude, frequency or phase in the most common underwater acoustic communications. However, the proposed method includes the information within frequency variation of carrier wave for a symbol. Especially, as carrier wave the hyperbolic frequency modulated signal, one of the nonlinear chirp signal, is used and it is robust in the Doppler channel. The proposed method was analyzed and compared to conventional method by simulation. When the doppler shift existed, the error probability of the proposed method is reduced by 5~12 % than conventional method with linear frequency modulated signal. Sea trial was performed to analyze the performance of the proposed method. 본 논문에서는 수중음향통신에서 비선형 chirp 변조 신호를 사용하는 방법을 제안한다. 과거 대부분의 수중음향통신에서는 반송파의 크기, 주파수 또는 위상에 정보를 실었다. 이에 반해 제안된 방법은 심볼 내에서 반송파의 주파수 변화율에 정보를 포함하게 된다. 특히, 반송파로 비선형 chirp 신호의 일종인 하이퍼볼릭 주파수 변조 신호를 사용하는 경우, 도플러 채널에서 강한 특성을 가진다. 제안된 방법은 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존 방법과 비교 및 분석하였다. 제안된 방식과 선형 주파수 변조 신호를 갖는 기존 방식을 비교하였을 때 도플러 편이가 있는 경우 제안된 방법의 오차 확률이 평균 5~12 % 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 제안된 방법의 성능을 분석하기 위해 해상실험이 수행되었다.
연비주행사이클의 냉간조건에서 엔진 냉각수 제어밸브 개폐에 따른 연료소비량 변화에 관한 실험적 연구

Fuel Consumption of vehicle is affected and determined by combustion efficiency of engine and friction of driveline. Specially, when vehicle is in a cold condition, the effect is much bigger owing to heat loss from low temperature of combustion chamber and friction from low temperature of engine oil and transmission oil. In this paper, one thing is found which control system would be more advantageous from a fuel consumption perspective, for coolant of cylinder head quickly warmed up in a cold condition between using the coolant to be increased temperature for high fuel efficiency and using the coolant to be reduced friction of engine oil and transmission oil through experimental method from NEDC, WLTC and UDDS. For this control, it’s realized through CCV which is adjusted flow path of coolant, and timing of open and close for CCV as per each test cycle is decided on 120℃ metal temperature of cylinder head. As a result of NEDC and WLTC, fuel consumption is improved on CCV close test right after test cycles begin. This is considered more beneficial that CCV close test in a cold condition increases temperature of combustion chamber, makes higher fuel efficiency, and decreases DFCO start timing from fast coolant temperature rise than CCV open test. At UDDS in a cold condition, fuel consumption according to CCV open and close shows less than the result of NEDC & WLTC. In case of UDDS, there are more of acceleration and high speed at the test cycle than NEDC & WLTC, therefore CCV opens fast, the time for high fuel efficiency period is short, and DFCO activated time is the same regardless of CCV open & close.
다중 영상센서 융합기반 협조적 객체인식 기술에 관한 연구

건물지역에서 기동부대에 대한 선도정찰 임무 시 구조물에 의해 발생하는 다수의 사각지대를 동시에 정찰하고 위험요소를 식별하기 위해 군집운용능력 필요하다. 또한 임무수행 간 장비 파괴율을 고려하여 임무달성 성공률을 높이기 위해 이종 군집로봇들의 다중센서들에 의한 멀티모달 데이터를 융합하여 협조적으로 상황인지 능력 요구된다. 본 논문은 전투병들의 인지증강을 위한 군집 협업 시스템에 관한 것으로, 군집 로봇상의 다중 영상센서 정보를 융합하여 공통된 표적을 정확히 모델링하는 협조적 객체인식 기술에 관한 것이다.
