        A New Approach to the Analysis of Tannin Concentration Using a Microelectronic Biosensor

        Wine tannins are essential to the astringency and color stabilization of red wine through the formation of tannin conjugates. It is important to determine the concentration of tannins during wine aging and fermentation. The aim of this study was to establish a new method that allows for real-time analysis of tannin content in wine and eliminates inconvenient processes, such as calibrations and/or enzyme reactions. The Folin-Ciocalteau spectrophotometry (FCS) was used a positive control and compared it with new microelectrode biosensor cyclic voltammetry (MBCV)method. The new approach was established that not only allows for real-time tannin detection but is also economical and does not require the use of a specific enzyme. The results are reproducible and provide a precise measurement of tannin content.

        식물조직배양용 바이오리액터의 농도제어 시스템 개발

        식물조직배양용 바이오리액터 8개의 배양액 P보, DO 농도를 on-line으로 계측하고 pH 농도 및 주입공기 량을 제어할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 시스템 제어용 컴퓨터 프로그램은 나리구근의 성장단계에 맞는 주입공기량을 추종제어방식으로 제어하며, 바이오리액터 내부의 pH 변화를 감지하여 오염을 감시하는 오염경보기능이 포함되어있다. 성장단계에 따라 적절한 주입공기량의 선정을 위하여 시뮬레이션 한 결과 배양초기에는 300 cc/min, 20일 경과 후에는 400 cc/mim, 40일 경과 후에는 500 cc/min, 60일 경과 후에는 600 cc/min, 그리고 80일 경과 후부터는 700 cc/min의 공기를 주입할 경우 바이오리액터내 나리구근의 분포가 고르게 나타났으며, 이 결과를 바이오리액터 배양실험에 이용하였다 배양액의 pH 농도 제어 시스템은 배양 전 기간동안에 제어 목표 값 (5.5$\pm$0.5)로 제어할 수 있었다.         전층피부창상에서 실크피브로인과 하이알론산 혼합 스폰지의 창상치유효과

        The primary goal of the wound healing is rapid wound closure. Recent advances in cellular and molecular biology have greatly expanded our understanding of the biologic processes involved in wound repair and tissue regeneration. This study was conducted to develop a new sponge type of biomaterial to be used for either wound dressing or scaffold for tissue engineering. We designed to make a comparative study of the wound healing effect of silk fibroin/hyaluronic acid (SF/HA) blend sponge in full-thickness dermal injury model of rat. Two full-thickness excisions were made on the back of the experimental animals. The excised wound was covered with either the silk fibroin (SF), hyaluronic acid (HA) or SF/HA (7 : 3 or 5 : 5 ratio) blend sponge. On the postoperative days of 3, 7, 10 and 14, the wound area was calculated by image analysis software. Simultaneously, the tissues were stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin and Masson's trichrome methods to measure the area of regenerated epithelium and collagen deposition. In addition, we evaluated the degree of the epithelial cell proliferation using immunohistochemistry for proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). We found that the half healing time ($HT_{50}$) of SF/HA blend sponge treated groups were significantly decreased as compared with either those of SF or HA treatment group. Furthermore, SF/HA blend sponges significantly increased the size of epithelialization and collagen deposition as well as the number of PCNA positive cells on epidermal basement membrane as compared with those of control treatment. Especially, the 5 : 5 ratio group of SF/HA among all treatment groups was most effective on wound healing rate and histological studies. These results suggest that SF/HA blend sponges could accelerate the wound healing process through the increase of epithelialization, collagen deposition and basal cell proliferation in full thickness skin injury.

        Non-Holonomic Agricultural Robot with Neural Network On-line Learning Controller

        The present study represents agricultural applications of non-holonomic mobile robots. Agricultural robots are significantly affected by various disturbances such as a loading capacity and modeling errors of robots. Abundant studies of mobile robots using online learning have investigated real-time elimination of control errors that are associated to inaccurate modeling of robots and controls of disturbance effects by online learning using neural network. However, a certain problem from errors of online learning may occur in case of the robot that is located on out of tracking path. The above problem may be resulted in the difference by control errors occurring between desired values and current values. Therefore, stepwise optimization of robot control with desired values should be necessary. Online learning for agricultural mobile robots is possibly performed with accurate calculation of control errors using the stepwise optimization of desired values as a standard. In summary, the present study demonstrates a reference robot is used to calculate accurate control errors for non-holomic mobile robot that is driven by pulse. The control error of the non-holonomic mobile robot through online feedback-error learning is almost 1.3% in agricultural application.

        삼각형의 내접 타원의 넓이에 대한 연구

        This research introduces a new method to calculate the area of inellipse of triangle. This formula is derived using the coordinates in the complex plane, the geometrical property of the ellipse, and the Siebeck-Marden theorem rather than the projective transformation and Affine transformation used in the conventional formula derivation. Through this paper, the following results can be obtained. Firstly, we calculated the area of inellipse of triangle related to the ratio of a divided triangle edge determined by the tangency point. Secondly, we derived the area and the ratio of a divided triangle edge of various well-known inellipses of triangle. Thirdly, we reconfirmed that the Steiner inellipse has the maximum area among all inellipses of triangle. This research established the relationship between the area of inellipse of triangle and the Siebeck-Marden theorem, which gives the two foci of inellipse. The new approach could contribute to further research of inellipses. 본 연구에서는 사영변환 및 아핀변환을 사용하는 기존의 방법과는 다르게 타원의 기하적 성질, 복소평면의 성질, Siebeck-marden의 정리 등을 이용하여 삼각형의내접 타원의 넓이를 도출하는 새로운 증명법을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 다음과 같은 연구 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 첫 번째, 내접 타원이 삼각형의 각 변을 분할하는 비와 관련된 삼각형의 내접 타원의 넓이를 도출하였다. 두 번째, 다양한 삼각형의 내접 타원들의 분할비와 넓이를 도출하였다. 세 번째, Steiner inellipse가 삼각형의 내접 타원 중 최대 넓이를 가짐을 밝혔다. 본 연구를 통해 삼각형의 내접 타원의 두 초점의 위치를 알 수 있는 Siebeck-marden의 정리와 삼각형의 내접 타원의 넓이 사이의 관계를 규명할 수 있었으며, 이는 내접 타원에 대한 후속 연구에 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

        번행초 추출물의 항산화 및 항염증 효과

        Objectives : Tetragonia tetragonioides is one of the traditional herbal medicines that can be used to protect the stomach and treat cancer. However, its mechanism of overcoming gastrointestinal disorders is unclear. In this study, we investigated antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of Tetragonia tetragonioides Water Extract (TTWE) on RAW264.7 cells. Methods : The cell viability by TTWE was measured by using MTT assay. The free radical scavenging ability and cytokine production were analyzed by using ELISA Kit. SPSS version 25 was used for statistical analysis. Results : According to the results of this study, the cell viability measurement of TTWE significantly affected the cell viability. The radical scavenging ability of TTWE showed the highest effect compared to the positive control group when the concentration was 3.1-12.5 μg/ml, and significantly inhibited NO production induced by LPS. In addition, the inhibitory effect of TTWE on the production of IL-6 and TNF-α induced by LPS was significant at both TTWE concentrations of 12.5 μg/ml [p <0.01 (IL-6), p <0.05 (TNF-α)]. Conclusion : In conclusion, it is suggested that the antioxidant function of Tetragonia tetragonioides Water Extract could be used to prevent and treat inflammatory diseases.
