        수학문장제 문제해결력 검사 타당화 연구: 학습장애 위험군 선별을 중심으로

        본 연구는 학생들의 수학문장제 문제해결력을 정확히 예측할 수 있고 보다 직접적으로 측정할 수 있는 검사도구로서 개발된 ‘수학문장제 문제해결력 검사’의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 ‘수학문장제 문제해결력 검사’의 타당도를 구성타당도, 준거타당도, 그리고 변별타당도 측면에서 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 문항 간 내적 합치도는 전체 .898로 높은 편이었고, 타당도의 경우, 요인의 일차원성이 확보되어 본 검사가 단일요인을 측정하고자 함이 입증되었으며, 기초학습기능 평가체제-읽기 및 수학과의 준거타당도가 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 읽기와 수학의 한 영역 또는 두 영역 모두에 심각한 문제를 지닌 읽기-수학 공존 학습장애의 위험을 보이는 저성취 아동들을 적절히 변별해내는 데에도 효과적인 검사도구임이 밝혀졌다. 따라서 ‘수학문장제 문제해결력 검사’는 교육현장에서 수학능력을 정형화된 연산 정확도로만 측정하기보다 수학교육의 궁극적인 목표인 문제해결능력을 점검하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study is to develop a ‘curriculum-based mathematical word problem solving measurement’ which can predict with accuracy and measure directly mathematical word problem solving ability, and to verify the reliability and validity of that measurement. The study examined the reliability and validity of a ‘curriculum-based mathematical word problem solving measurement.’ In terms of validity, factor analysis was conducted and both criteria validity and discriminant validity were examined. The results showed relatively high internal consistency coefficients across all items with Cronbach’s α coefficient which was .898. In the result of factor analysis, it yielded only one principle component and it was significantly correlated with BASA-Math and maze test of BASA-Reading. In addition, by examining the discriminant validity, it was revealed that significant differences in mathematical word problem solving scores were found among the children with reading difficulties, math difficulties, and math-reading comorbid difficulties. Therefore, a 'curriculum-based mathematical word problem solving measurement' would be able to provide a more reliable information of mathematical problem solving ability rather than simple calculation tests, and it is expected to be used appropriately in school settings.

        국내 민간병원에서 치료한 다제내성결핵 환자의 치료 결과 및 예후 인자

        Background: The increasing rate of drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) is a threat to the public health and TB control. In Korea, about 75~80% of TB patients are treated in private hospitals and the rate has been continuously increasing since 2000. Methods: On a retrospective basis, we enrolled 170 newly diagnosed with or retreated for multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) in 2004 from 21 private hospitals. We extracted the following demographics and treatment history from patient medical records: initial treatment outcomes, cumulative survival rates, treatment outcomes, and prognostic factors. Results: Of the 170 patients, the majority were male (64.1%), the mean age was 44.5 years old, and mean body-mass-index was 20.2kg/m2. None of the patients tested positive for HIV. Eleven (6.5%) were confirmed to have extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB) at treatment initiation. Treatment success rates were not different between XDR-TB (36.4%, 4/11) and non-XDR MDR-TB (51.6%, 82/159). Default rate was high, 21.8% (37/170). Far advanced disease on X-ray was a significant negative predictor of treatment success; advanced disease and low BMI were risk factors for all-cause mortality. Conclusion: In private hospitals in Korea, the proportion of XDR-TB in MDR-TB was comparable to previous data. The treatment success rate of MDR-/XDR-TB remains poor and the failure rate was quite high. Adequate TB control policies should be strengthened to prevent the further development and spread of MDR-/XDR-TB in Korea.

        국제비교를 통한 우리나라 음악과 교육과정의 특성 분석 - 독일 , 미국 , 영국 , 일본 , 프랑스를 중심으로 -

        The main purpose of this research is to get some implications for improvement of school music curriculum of Korea through the analysis of music curriculum in several developed countries. The researchers surveyed the music curriculum of the 5 developed countries, U.S.A., G.B., Japan, Germany and France, which already finished curriculum revision in recent years. The researchers have agreed upon analysing curriculum of each contry with the following four factors -- 1) outline of school education system, 2) time allotment and operation of music class, 3) frames and basic structure of music education curriculum including mission statements and contents of music education, and 4) draw conclusions based on the analysis. The drawn implications are as follow: First, each countries recognized importance of music education and emphasize music class in school education. Second, there are many different points between the curriculum and operation of music class of USA and Europe. In Europe, students should study music class certainly, but in USA, students can choose music class widely. Third, every countries state very persuasively about necessity and what should be of music education. However korean curriculum statements, in comparison of these countries, are very difficult and vague for teacher and students to understand it. Fourth, each countries aim at learning of musical concepts or musicological understanding instead of learning of musical technique. We now get to some suggestions of this research for korean school music education. First, korean music curriculum should be improved adequately. Second, we raise relative importance of music class in school education. Third, we should differentiate the aims of music education for each stages. Finally, there should be more international comparative researches on music curriculum for improvement of our music education.

        수학학습장애 위험군아동, 읽기,수학공존학습장애위험군아동, 일반아동의 수학문장제 문제해결력 비교 -수학 인지변인을 중심으로-

        수학문장제 문제해결력 문제는 읽기능력, 수리적 계산능력과 문제해결력을 동시에 요구한다. 수학문장제 문제해결력 검사의 경우 읽기 혹은 수학 단일 영역의 능력만을 측정하지 않고 두영역과 더불어 이에 영향을 미치는 인지변인들에 대한 측정이 종합적으로 이루어지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 수학문장제 문제해결력 문장제 문제의 식과 답, 총점을 측정하여 일반아동과 수학학습장애 위험군아동, 읽기ㆍ수학공존학습장애 위험군아동의 수학문장제 문제해결력을 비교하였으며 수학문장제 문제해결력에 영향을 미치는 인지변인들을 측정하여 각 집단 간의 수행력 차이를 알아보았다. 그 결과, 수학학습장애 위험군아동과 읽기ㆍ수학공존학습장애 위험 군아동은 수학문장제 문제해결력에서 일반아동들보다 낮은 수행력을 보였으며, 특히 공존학습 장애위험군 아동들이 가장 낮은 성취수준을 보였다. 각 인지변인에 있어서도, 주의력을 제외한 모든 인지변인에서 공존학습장애 위험군아동이 가장 낮은 집단으로 분류되었다. 이러한 결과를 미루어, 공존학습장애 위험군 아동들에게 실제적으로 적용할 수 있는 진단도구 개발과 교육중재 프로그램의 개발의 필요성을 제시하였다. The mathematical word problem needs reading skills, mathematical calculation abilities and problem solving skills at the same time. The mathematical word problem solving test measures not that only single reading or mathematical skills but that reading skills, mathematical abilities, and cognitive variables that influence these skills in overall. Therefore, this study is to compare the performance of mathematical word problem solving of children at risk in mathematics disabilities(MD), comorbid in reading and mathematical disabilities (MDRD), and children without disabilities(N) by measuring the mathematical formula, answer and total score of mathematical word problem. Additionally, this study is also to investigate the differences between the performance of cognitive variables through measuring the cognitive variables that influence the mathematical word problem solving. As a result, the children at risk in MD only and MDRD showed lower performance in mathematical word problem solving than the children without disabilities(N) did, especially the children at risk in MDRD revealed the lowest performance. Regard with the cognitive variables, the children at risk in MDRD are also classified with the lowest performance group in all the cognitive variables except for attention. According to the result of this study, implication and recommendation were suggested that diagnostic instrument and education program are needed to develop to applying practically for the children at risk in MDRD.

        학습장애와 뇌 기반 교육

        이 연구는 ‘증거 기반(evidence-based)’ 읽기중재의 효과성을 입증하기 위한 뇌 영상기법 사용의 장점과 활용 가능성을 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 특히 학습장애아동의 판별 및 중재에 있어, 중재반응(Response to Intervention, RTI)적 접근이 제시됨에 따라 과학적이고 증거에 기반을 둔 중재가 무엇인가와 함께, 학습장애의 신경심리학적 측면에 대한 연구가 활발해지고 있다. 이러한 흐름 속에서 최근 뇌 영상기법들(예: fMRI, EEG, MEG 등)의 진보는 효과적인 중재의 객관적인 효과성을 설명해주는 방법으로 주목받고 있다. 이에, 읽기교수(예: 집중적인 음운인식 교수)를 통한 특정 뇌 신경체계의 변화를 뇌 영상기법을 활용하여 살펴본 근래의 연구들을 종합하여 살펴보았다. 연구자들은 증거 기반 읽기중재가 관련된 뇌 영역의 신경체계를 변화시켰음을 보여주고 있다. 또한 연구결과들에 따르면 이 신경체계들이 가소성을 보였으며, 이러한 사실은 증거-기반 읽기중재의 과학적이고 객관적인 효과의 타당성을 입증함을 주장하고 있다. 연구결과들이 교육에 시사하는 함의, 간학문적 협력의 필요성, 뇌영상 기법에 대한 비판적인 이해와 활용 등이 논의되었다. The present study was conducted to explore the advantages and availability of the use of neuroimaging techniques to verify the effectiveness of ``evidence-based`` reading interventions. To identify and provide interventions for students with learning disabilities (LD), Response to Intervention (RTI) approach has been widely applied by researchers as an alternative to ``ability-achievement discrepancy`` model. In spite of its merits as an early prevention and intervention model, RTI has some limits of explanation of neuropsychological aspects of LDs, and difficulty in agreement on what is scientifically, evidence-based intervention. As an emerging alternative to explaining the effectiveness of effective reading interventions, with the recent advancement of imaging technologies, neuroimaging methods such as fMRI, EEG, MEG have potential to show additional, objective evidence for effective interventions. We reviewed the studies on effectiveness of reading instruction (e.g., intensive phonemic awareness instruction) using the neuroimaging techniques to identify neural changes on specific brain areas that are believed to be concerned in reading. Research indicated that the neural circuits related to reading were remediated by provision of evidence-based, effective reading intervention. Furthermore, the results showed that the brain system for reading have a plasticity, which validates effectiveness of reading intervention. We concluded with a discussion of the implications of the research findings, focusing on the need of interdisciplinary cooperation, critical understanding in applying the techniques to education.

        수학 기술 중재 효과성 연구의 동향과 과제

        본 연구는 뇌 가소성을 기반으로 하여 중재 효과성을 평가함에 있어 뇌 영상기법을 통한 신경심리학적 접근이 제시하는 과학적이고 실증적인 증거 제공 가능성에 대하여 고찰함으로써, 학습장애 진단 및 판별 모형으로서 중재반응모형에 대해 제기되고 있는 문제점들 중 하나인 소위 증거 기반 중재에 대한 쟁점을 중심으로 교수-학습에 제공하는 함의점을 도출하고자 함을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 최근 10년 간 국내·외에서 이루어진 뇌 영상화 기법을 활용하여 수행한 수학 기술 관련 중재효과에 관한 연구들을 수집하여 정리한 다음 그러한 연구 동향으로부터 얻을 수 있는 시사점들을 도출하고, 뇌 영상기법을 교육학 연구에 활용함에 있어서의 그 전망과 한계, 향후 과제를 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibilities that scientifically proven evidences for evaluating the effectiveness of intervention based on a brain plasticity can be provided by neuropsychological approach, and to elicit some implications for special education focusing on the issue of evidence-based practice(EBP) of responsiveness to intervention(RTI) as a model for diagnosis and identification of learning disabilities. For this purpose, we reviewed studies on the effectiveness of intervention to mathematical skills conducted using neuroimaging techniques during the past ten years. We concluded with a discussion of the implications from the research findings, and suggested future perspectives and limitations.
