This study investigates the therapeutic potential of Indigo Naturalis (IN) in treating a Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The objective is to comprehensively examine the effects and pharmacological mechanisms of IN on IBD, assessing its potential as an novel treatment for IBD. Analysis of 11 selected papers is conducted to understand the effects of IN, focusing on compounds like indirubin, isatin, indigo, and tryptanthrin. This study evaluates their impact on Disease Activity Index (DAI) score, colon length, mucosal damage, and macrophage infiltration in Dextran Sulfate Sodium (DSS)-induced colitis mice. Additionally, It investigate into the anti-inflammatory mechanisms, including Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) pathway activation, Nuclear Factor kappa B (NF-κB)/nod-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3)/Interleukin 1 beta (IL-1β) inhibition, and modulation of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/myeloid differentiation primary response 88 (MYD88)/NF-κB and Mitogen Activated Protein Kinase (MAPK) pathways. Immunomodulatory effects on T helper 17 (Th17)/regulatory T cell (Treg cell) balance and Glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK3-β) expression are also explored. Furthermore, the study addresses the role of IN in restoring intestinal microbiota diversity, reducing pathogenic bacteria, and increasing beneficial bacteria. The findings reveal that IN, particularly indirubin and indigo, demonstrates significant improvements in DAI score, colon length, mucosal damage, and macrophage infiltration in DSS-induced colitis mice. The anti-inflammatory effects are attributed to the activation of the AhR pathway, inhibition of inflammatory pathways, and modulation of immune responses. These results exhibit the potential of IN in IBD treatment. Notably, the restoration of intestinal microbiota diversity and balance further supports its efficacy. IN emerges as a promising and effective treatment for IBD, demonstrating anti-inflammatory effects and positive outcomes in preclinical studies. However, potential side effects necessitate further investigation for safe therapeutic development. The study underscores the need for future research to explore a broader range of active ingredients in IN to enhance therapeutic efficacy and safety.

본 연구의 목적은 학교교육에서의 AI 기술 활용에 대한 교사의 인식을 조사하여 현장 친화적인 AI기반 학습 환경을 조성하기 위한 기초자료를 마련하는 것이다. 이를 위해 현직 초·중 등 교사를 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 모든 문항에 성실히 응답한 597명의 설문응답을 분석하였으며 그 중 개방형 설문 문항은 213명의 응답데이터를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 교사들은 AI와 빅데이터가 사회와 교육을 변화시킬 것이며, 학교 도입 시 미래 사회에 부합하는 학생 역량 증진에 가장 초점을 두어야 한다고 응답하였다. 현재 교육과정에 기여할 점은 과정중심평가를 가능하게 하는 평가방법 개선이라고 하였다. 한편, AI기반 교수·학습 플랫폼이 도입된다면 교사 대다수가 사용할 의향이 있다고 밝혔으며, 이를 통해 개별화된 수준별 맞춤형수업, 교무 행정 업무 경감, 기초부진학생에 대한 지도, 학부모 및 가정과의 연계 강화 측면에서 도움이 될 것으로 보았다. 그러나 학교의 사회화 기능 상실 및 교사-학생 상호작용 부족, AI에 의존하는 수동적 교사 양산 우려 및 교사의 역할 재정립, 디지털리터러시 역량 강화 교육필요, 교육 소외 계층의 정보격차 등을 우려하였다. 종합해보면 AI기반 교육서비스가 보편화되지 않은 상황에서 이러한 교사의 인식은 다소 막연할 수 있으나, 코로나19 대응을 위한 원격수업이 일상 수업의 효과적인 선택지가 되기 위해서는 AI의 도입이 진지하게 고려되어야 하며 이를 위해 교사의 인식이 이해되어야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study is to examine the teacher's perceptions of the use of AI technology in school education in order to develop a field-friendly AI-based learning environment. An online survey was conducted for current elementary and secondary teachers. We analyzed 597 questionnaire responses, and among them, 213 responses were analyzed for open-ended questions. As a result, teachers responded that AI and big data will change society and education, and that when AI is adopted to schools, the emphasis should be placed on enhancing student competencies for future society. It is said that the contribution to the current curriculum is to improve the evaluation method by enabling planning and execution of process-based evaluation. On the other hand, if AI-based teaching and learning platform is introduced, it is said that the majority of teachers are willing to use it. Through this, teachers think AI helpful, including personalized classes tailored to each level, reducing administrative tasks, helping underachiever students, and strengthening the connection with parents and families. However, some are considered negatively, including the loss of socialization function of the school, the lack of teacher-student interaction, concerns about passive teacher overly dependent on AI, re-establishment of the role of teachers, the need for digital literacy capability training, and the information gap. In conclusion, the perceptions of these teachers may be somewhat vague in the situation where AI-based educational services are not pervasive, but the introduction of AI must be seriously considered in order to make remote classes for COVID-19 response an effective option for everyday classes. The teacher's perceptions must be understood.
민주시민육성을 위한 미디어리터러시 역량의 의미와 정규교육과정 통합 방안

본 연구는 국내 초·중등학교 정규교육과정에 활용 가능한 민주시민육성을 위한 미디어리터러시 교육의 실천적 산출물 제시를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 국내외 관련 선행 연구 및 교육과정 사례를 분석하고, 연구 산출물의 내용 타당성과 현장 적용성 평가를 위해 관련 경력교사 대상 집단면담과 초·중등학교 교과별 일반교사 16인 대상 면대면 평가를 실시하였다. 최종적으로 첫째, 국내 사회 및 교육 맥락을 고려한 민주시민 육성 미디어리터러시의 역량 개념 및 하위 역량으로 구성된 역량 프레임워크를 도출하였다. 둘째, 이러한 역량을 정규교육과정 수업에 통합하기 위해서 2015개정 교육과정근거 초·중등학교 전체 교과 통합형 63개 주제의 ‘학습주제사전’을 개발하였다. 셋째, 주제 선정의도 및 수업 안내표인 ‘교육과정 연계 성취기준’ 261개 항목을 추출하였다. 마지막으로 민주시민육성을 위한 미디어 리터러시 교육의 정규교과 통합 방안으로서, 미디어 교육에 대한 접근성 향상 전략을 통한 수업 부담감 해소, 체계적 공식적 학습 사이트 운영을 통한 교사와 학습자의 미디어 리터러시 교육활동지원, 추진체계 구축을 통한 미디어 리터러시 교육의 체계적 실행, 학교 급별 교육의 연계성 체계화, 미디어 리터러시 관련 교사 교육 실시를 통한 교원전문성 함양, 학습자 기본 소양으로서의 디지털리터러시 함양 등을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to present the practical output of media literacy education, designed to foster democratic citizenship, which can be used for regular curriculums in domestic elementary and secondary schools. Therefore, we analyzed prior studies, democratic citizenship education and media literacy education cases. We also conducted group interviews with expert teachers who had experiences in democratic citizenship education and media education. As a result, we derived a competency framework considering the social and educational context in Korea. In addition, in order to integrate the competency into the regular curriculums, we derived the ‘Dictionary of learning themes’ and the ‘Achievement standards’ applicable to the ‘2015 Revised National Curriculum for all subjects by each grade of all elementary and secondary schools. To evaluate whether the contents of such outputs are the validity and field applicability, we also conducted additional group interviews and a face-to-face evaluation with 16 inservice teachers by each subject in elementary and secondary schools. The review of the validity finally made a ‘media literacy competency framework for fostering democratic citizens’, the ‘dictionary of learning themes of 63 available to be integrated into all the subjects of elementary and secondary schools, based on the 2015 revised curriculum, and 261 items for Achievement standards linked to the curriculum as a guidebook that presented the intention of selecting the themes. Finally, we suggested policy and practice for integration plan into the regular curriculum of media literacy education to foster democratic citizens.

영아의 생명을 위협하는 사고들은 가정에서 가장 많이 발생하고, 그 중 낙상사고가 가장 심각한 문제이다. 본 논문에서 제작한 시스템은 라즈베라파이를 이용해 dc모터를 제어하고, 안전 울타리를 작동시킴으로써 낙상사고를 예방한다. 또한 아두이노와 어플리케이션간의 블루투스 통신으로 보호자가 다중센서로부터의 영아 주변의 환경정보를 실시간으로 확인하고 수면 환경을 직접 제어할 수 있다. Infant life-threatening accidents occur most frequently in the home, and fall accidents are the most serious of them. The system manufactured in this paper controls the DC motor using Raspberry Pi and prevents falling accidents by operating the safety fence. In addition, Bluetooth communication between Arduino and the application allows guardians to check environmental information around the infant from multiple sensors in realtime and directly control the sleep environment
Effects of Sangju Honey on Oral Squamous Carcinoma Cells

Since ancient times, honey has been used in traditional medicine owing to its pharmacological effects. It possesses anticancer properties. However, the therapeutic implications of Sangju honey in cancer remains unknown. Therefore, we aimed to demonstrate the potential anticancer effects of Sangju honey on human oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), particularly focusing on epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and apoptotic and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways. Ca9- 22 and YD-10B human OSCC cells were treated with 0.25% or 0.5% Sangju honey, and the cell viability was examined using the Cell Counting Kit-8 assay. Cell morphology studies were conducted to observe morphological changes, and the wound-healing assay was performed to evaluate the proliferation of honey-treated OSCC cells. Western blot analysis was conducted to investigate protein expression related to EMT and apoptotic and MAPK signaling pathways. Sangju honey reduced cell viability, induced morphological changes, and significantly suppressed the proliferation and migration of Ca9-22 and YD-10B cells. The expression of E-cadherin and N-cadherin was increased and decreased, respectively, in both OSCC cell lines. Moreover, Sangju honey stimulated apoptosis by increasing the expression of p21, p53, cleaved caspase 3, and caspase 9. Furthermore, it downregulated the expression of phospho (p)-extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2, p-c-Jun amino-terminal kinase, and p-p38 in Ca9-22 and YD-10B cells. Sangju honey inhibits Ca9-22 and YD-10B cell proliferation by regulating EMT, inducing apoptosis, and suppressing the MAPK signaling pathway. Thus, it is a potential anticancer agent for human OSCC.
