다문화가정 유아의 유아교육기관 적응프로그램 개발 및 효과 = Development and Effects of Multicultural Children’s Childhood Education Center Adaptation Program

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to develop an adaptation program for parents and children in multicultural children to adapt themselves to childhood education centers by understanding and supporting the developmental characteristics and requests of childhood education teachers who guide the multicultural children. As a preparation of the program development, childhood adaptation and multiculturalism related literature review, previous tool review, survey of requests of foreign parents and teachers and in‐depth interviews were performed based on the Roy Adaptation Model. The final multicultural children’s adaptation program was developed based on the verification of contents validity and field application validity by experts. To identify the effects of the program application, 37 multicultural children in Gwangju and Jeonnam were selected as the subjects of this study. Childhood education center adaptation tests were performed on the subjects before and after the application of the program. According to the study results, the experimental group, which the adaptation program for multicultural children was applied to, showed better adaptation than the control group, and showed improvements in sub‐factors of adaptation such as everyday life adaptation, self adaptation and peer adaptation. Therefore, the adaptation program for multicultural children can be seen as an important course to make them adapt to childhood education centers and to improve their confidence.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 다문화가정 부모와 유아가 유아교육기관에 성공적으로 적응시킬 수 있는 적응프로그램을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초과정으로 Roy 적응모형 양상을 근거로 한국 유아 적응 및 다문화 관련 문헌고찰, 선행도구 점검, 외국인 부모와 교사의 요구조사와 심층면담 분석을 실시하였으며 전문가의 내용타당성과 현장 적용타당성을 검증하여 최종 다문화가정 유아의 적응프로그램을 개발하였다. 또한, 프로그램 적용효과를 알아보기 위해서 광주․전남 유아교육기관에 재원중인 다문화가정 유아 37명을 대상으로 효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 적응프로그램을 적용한 실험집단은 비교집단에 비해 다문화가정 유아의 적응정도가 향상되었으며 적응의 하위요인인 일과적응, 자아적응, 또래적응에 향상을 보였다. 따라서 다문화가정 유아를 위한 적응프로그램은 다문화가정 유아가 유아교육기관의 하루일과를 안정적으로 적응하고 자신감을 증진시키기 위한 중요한 과정이라고 볼 수 있다.
