초등학생의 스트레스와 사회불안 관계에서 자기효능감의 조절효과 = The Moderating Effect of Self-Efficacy on the Relation between Stress and Social Anxiety in the Elementary School Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of self-efficacy on the relation between stress and social anxiety in the elementary school. The objects of this study were 323 students who were the forth and fifth and sixth graders in elementary schools located in Seoul. The instruments used for this study were Stress Scale, Self-Efficacy Scale and Social Anxiety Scale. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS statistical program. Pearson`s bivarite correlation analysis was administered to find out the correlation among variables. And multiple hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to find out the moderating effects of self-efficacy. The result of the study were as follows: First, stress was negatively correlated with self-efficacy, and self-efficacy was negatively correlated with social anxiety, and stress was positively correlated with social anxiety. Second, the moderating effect of self-efficacy on the relation between stress and social anxiety was significant. Especially interaction effect of academic stress, personal relation stress and self-efficacy was significant when social anxiety were used as dependent variable. But family stress and private problem stress and self-efficacy interaction effect was not significant when social anxiety were used as dependent variable. That is, when the student feels stressed in his or her daily life, self-efficacy can relieve the negative effect of academic stress, personal relation stress to his or her social anxiety. These result suggest that it is meaningful to have an interest in elevating students` self-efficacy.
