Zhang Juanjuan,A/P Yvonne Lam Ying Hung,A/P Ng Lian Soon 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
This paper presents a Digital Pixel Sensor(DPS) system with accurate Photo-gate (PG) model, Multi-Channel Bit Serial (MCBS) Analog-to-Digital convertor (ADC) and 1-bit 2-T memrory shared among a block of 2×2 pixels and novel conversion and a new readout timing scheme designed using 0.18-㎛ process with a supply voltage of 3.3V. With 160㎒ readout frequency, a 512×640 pixel array can have a frame rate higher than 10,000 frames/s. The layout of the block has been drawn with a size of 24×24㎛ with a fill factor of 56%. A Bandgap biasing circuit for the ADC designed has been implemented with layout size of 66×105.5㎛ and stable performances under variable temperature and supply voltage.

Du, Juanjuan,Cao, Yu,Liu, Yan,Wang, Ying,Zhang, Yong,Fu, Guangsen,Zhang, Yuhan,Lu, Lucy,Luo, Xiaozhou,Kim, Chan Hyuk,Schultz, Peter G.,Wang, Feng American Chemical Society 2017 JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY - Vol.139 No.51

We report a method to generate bifunctional antibodies by grafting full-length proteins into constant region loops of a full-length antibody or an antigen-binding fragment (Fab). The fusion proteins retain the antigen binding activity of the parent antibody but have an additional activity associated with the protein insert. The engineered antibodies have excellent in vitro activity, physiochemical properties, and stability. Among these, a Her2 × CD3 bispecific antibody (BsAb) was constructed by inserting an anti-Her2 single-chain variable fragment (ScFv) into an anti-CD3 Fab. This bispecific antibody efficiently induces targeted cell lysis in the presence of effector cells at as low as sub-picomolar concentrations in vitro. Moreover, the Her2 × CD3 BsAb shows potent in vivo antitumor activity in mouse Her22+ and Her21+ xenograft models. These results demonstrate that insertion of a full-length protein into non-CDR loops of antibodies provides a feasible approach to generate multifunctional antibodies for therapeutic applications.

Graphic Abstract

ACS Electronic Supporting Info

Transmembrane protein TMEM16A, which encodes calcium-activated chloride channel has been implicated in tumorigenesis. Overexpression of TMEM16A is associated with poor prognosis and low overall survival in multiple cancers including lung adenocarcinoma, making it a promising biomarker and therapeutic target. In this study, three structure-related sesquiterpene lactones (mecheliolide, costunolide and dehydrocostus lactone) were extracted from the traditional Chinese medicine Aucklandiae Radix and identified as novel TMEM16A inhibitors with comparable inhibitory effects. Their effects on the proliferation and migration of lung adenocarcinoma cells were examined. Whole-cell patch clamp experiments showed that these sesquiterpene lactones potently inhibited recombinant TMEM16A currents in a concentration- dependent manner. The half-maximal concentration (IC50) values for three tested sesquiterpene lactones were 29.9 ± 1.1 μM, 19.7 ± 0.4 μM, and 24.5 ± 2.1 μM, while the maximal effect (Emax) values were 100.0% ± 2.8%, 85.8% ± 0.9%, and 88.3% ± 4.6%, respectively. These sesquiterpene lactones also significantly inhibited the endogenous TMEM16A currents and proliferation, and migration of LA795 lung cancer cells. These results demonstrate that mecheliolide, costunolide and dehydrocostus lactone are novel TMEM16A inhibitors and potential candidates for lung adenocarcinoma therapy.
Shock Response Analysis of a Large LNG Storage Tank Under Blast Loads
Zhang Rulin,Jia Juanjuan,Wang Huaifeng,Guan Youhai 대한토목학회 2018 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.22 No.9
Ensuring the safe operation of large LNG storage tank projects under blast loads is very important. First, using LS-DYNA software, numerical simulations of air blast wave propagation are studied with the ALE algorithm and fluid-solid coupling theory. A new corrected formula for the peak overpressure is proposed based on the numerical results, and its accuracy is verified by comparing the numerical results with the empirical formula and test results. Then, a finite element model of a large LNG storage tank is built, assuming that the explosion source is located 10 m away from both the ground and the tank wall. This model is used to analyse the overpressure and dynamic response of the outer concrete tank and to predict the TNT equivalent quantity that the tank can withstand. The results show that the tank wall facing the burst loads is in a more dangerous state and that the principal tensile stress increases approximately linearly with increasing TNT equivalent quantity. When the TNT equivalent quantity reaches 2.5 t, concrete element failure occurs on the centre facing the explosions, and the outer tank structure is damaged. The conclusions can provide a reference for the blast-resistant design of large LNG storage tanks.
Optimal Control with Terminal State Constraints for Multichannel Input Linear Systems
Qichao Sun,Juanjuan Xu,Huanshui Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.10
This paper is concerned with the linear quadratic (LQ) control problem with multiple input channels and terminal state constraints. The problem can be solved by augmenting all the inputs into one. However, the calculation will be much more involved especially for the case with large scale of inputs. To overcome this complexity, we adopt a leader-follower game theory approach. The optimal controller is obtained in the feedback of the state in terms of Riccati equations. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the derived result.
Game Theory Approach to Optimal Control Problem with Multi-Channel Control
Wei Wang,Juanjuan Xu,Huan-Shui Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2015 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.13 No.1
In this paper, we mainly study the optimal control problem with multi-channel control. The main contribution is to treat the optimal control problem as a leader-follower problem with multihierarchy decision makers in game theory. According to the sequence of the decision makers, the optimal controller is derived by the maximum principle. It is worth mentioning that the optimal solution is in the feedback form related to two symmetric Riccati equations with same dimension as the original state. Furthermore, the obtained solution is sufficient and necessary.

A new type of auto-rotary PM mechanical flux-varying PM machine (ARPMMFVPMM) is proposed in this paper, which can overcome the problem where the air-gap magnetic field of a PM machine is difficult to freely adjust. The topology structures of the machine and the mechanical flux-adjusting device are given. In addition, the operation principle of flux-adjusting is analyzed in detail. Furthermore, the deformation of a spring with the speed variation is obtained by virtual prototype technology. Electromagnetic characteristics including the flux distribution, air gap flux density, flux linkage, electromagnetic-magnetic-force (EMF), and flux weakening ability are computed by 2D finite element method (FEM). Results show that the machine has some advantages such as the good field control ability.

The evaluation and use of endogenous soybean genes is an effective strategy to minimize the yield losses caused by insects. Allene oxide cyclase (AOC) catalyzes the most important step in the biosynthesis of jasmonate (JA), which plays a crucial role in plant defense against insects. In this study, the role of GmAOC3 in plant insect resistance was evaluated. Real-time PCR results indicate that GmAOC3 was uniquely and rapidly activated and attained peak expression in leaves after attack by the common cutworm (CCW). In insect bioassays, transgenic lines overexpressing GmAOC3 were significantly less damaged than wild-type plants, and the relative growth rate of CCW fed with leaves from transgenic lines was significantly lower than that of CCW fed with leaves from wild-type plants. Electron microscopy revealed that the density of leaf trichomes in transgenic lines overexpressing GmAOC3 was greater than that in wild-type tobacco. Several physiological and morphological indicators, including JA, phenolic content and the relative expression levels of the putrescine N-methyltransferase (PMT) and proteinase inhibitor (PI) genes, phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) activity and volatile substances, increased in the transgenic plants overexpressing GmAOC3. Our findings indicate that GmAOC3 plays an important role in soybean resistance to CCW and can be used as a resource for plant breeding.
Solution to Mixed H2/H∞ Control for Discrete-time Systems with (x,u,v)-dependent Noise
Xiaoqian Li,Wei Wang,Juanjuan Xu,Huanshui Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.2
In this paper, the stochastic H2=H∞ control problem for linear discrete-time systems with (x;u;v)-dependent noise is studied. By applying the leader-follower stochastic game approach, the disturbance is treatedas the follower and the control input is treated as the leader, respectively. Necessary and sufficient conditions forthe mixed control problem are presented which guarantee the existence and uniqueness of the optimal solution. Byapplying the stochastic maximum principle, the follower first solves a stochastic linear quadratic optimal controlproblem which is given in the form of H∞-norm with the aid of stochastic Riccati equations. Then the leader solves astochastic linear quadratic problem with the aid of forward and backward equations. The main technique is to introducetwo new co-states to capture the future information, the encountered difficulty is to establish a homogeneousrelationship between the new co-states.
