요통호소 산업체 근로자의 좌골신경통 유병상태 및 발생요인에 관한 조사

This study was conducted to investigate the prevalence rate of sciatic pain and its risk factors of manufacturing workers. The data were collected from 539 manufacturing factory workers who had low back pain from March 1, 1992 to August 30, 1992. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Among the 539 workers who had LBP, 22.4% of workers complained sciatic pain. The prevalence rates of sciatic pain was 32.7% in female and 20.0% in male(p<0.01), and those were 28.6% in 40's age group, 23.0% in 30's age group, 21.9% in below 20's age group(p<0.01). But there were no statistically significaut differences by marital status and smoking habit. 2. The prevalence rate of less than 5 year job tenures group was 30.2% but that was 20.0% in more than 5 year job tenures group(p(0.05). By kind of industry, job part, daily work hours, shift work, fitness of chair, heightness of working board, work posture and the developed condition of back pain, there were no statistically significant differences. 3. Variables associated with the occurrence of sciatic pain, were sex(p<0.0), age(p<0.01), job tenure(p<O. 05). and work posture(p<0.05). The prevalence rates of sciatic pain was higher in female, 40's years age group, less than 5 year job tenures group and standing work posture group.

음주와 질병결근의 관련성

To investigate the effect of alcohol drinking on the absence pattern, we conducted survey for 606 male workers who employed at the small & medium sized manufacturing factories located in Taejon city and Chungnam region. The following results were obtained. Among the variables, age, marrital status, body mass index, smoking, working hours per day, and working climate showed significant realtionship with the alcohol drinking times. Gross absence days and sickness absence days showed significant relation with alcohol drinking frequency, but non-sickness absence days did not showed any relation with alcohol drinking frequency. After adjusting the variables which had significnat relation with absence days and alcohol drinking, there were still significant relation between absence days and alcohol drinking frequency.

This study was conducted to compare to the differences between alcoholism patients(case groups) and other patients (control groups) about the family cooperation, the family adaptation and the family APGAR. The data were collected from 41 alcoholism patients and 45 nonalcoholism patient admitted to a hospital from May 1, 1993 to August 30, 1993. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Family cooperation score was lower in case groups, with 29.2 than in control groups, with 32.6. There was statistically significant difference between them (P<0.01). 2. Family adaptation score was lower in case groups, with 24.6 than in control groups,with 28.3. There was statistically significant difference between them(P<0.01). 3. Extreme family types are more in case groups, with 26.8%, than in control groups with 13.3% but there were not statistically significant differences.

Review of Drone's Liability to Citizen

Drone can deliver commercially goods. Drone's commercial use will be realized in the near future. Regardless of commercial or non-commercial flight, the more the number of Drone's flight becomes, the greater Drone's flight accident will be. With regard to Drone's flight, Drone can make possible risks such as crash, falling, collision, fire on the ground and can give severe damage to the people and all kinds of property on/under the ground. Accident of Drone has two types of loss or damage, i.e. Drone's itself damage and the third party damage. Also in case of parcel service on logistic industry, Drone can make a severe damage to parcel or cargo which is carrying to the client. This paper analyzed accident of drone and insurance matter for the citizen. Drone means in this paper all kinds of unmanned objectives.

Kiosk with any issues in retail store in South Korea

It is noted that AmazonGo was public opened on 22 nd January 2018 as a milestone of unmanned store in the world in the era of Artificial Intelligence. Retail businesses in the most high-tech countries in the world, including Japan, Korea, and Russia, may have to adopt business strategies that are similar to those of Amazon to maintain their competitiveness.(Hahn, Kim, & Youn, 2018). By changing consumer behavior and fast advancing technology of 4th industrial revolution, self-service is widely and swiftly expanded to service industry. Besides, restrant industry and distribution industry will take the type of self-service in large consideration of deduction of cost-saving at present. This paper studies Kiosk with any issues in retail store in South Korea. From the above, we explored main keywords of AmazonGo, Kiosk, self-service, labour cost, artificial intelligence and deregulation, and then proposed schemes of resolution for the retailers in South Korea. Accordingly, this can be available for future direction of the retailer of what they chose between the worker and self-service as mentioned.

Review of Recent Aircraft Accidents in Relation to Aircraft Insurance

The first commercial flight in history occurred in 1914 at Florida, USA. Hence, commercial aviation has reached its 100th anniversary in 2014. However, the centennial anniversary of commercial flight was marked with big catastrophes involving Malaysian and Indonesian aircrafts. This paper analyzed some recent aircraft accidents and studied insurance goods for passenger in aircraft accidents. It also analyzed some recent cases of big casualties of aircraft accidents, international convention and treaty, Korean law system for air transit, insurance types and the risks it covered, and suitable and necessary insurance goods for passenger. For this reason, this paper focused on passenger accidents only, and excluded baggage and cargo.

A Retailer's Social Responsibility for Product Scandals : Korea vs Japan

Purpose - This research is to examine how different Korean retailers are from Japanese ones, in terms of taking a social responsibility for product scandals. Through a comparative analysis, the authors will provide some implications for retailers in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on the existing literature studied how retailers as well as manufacturers responded to food poisoning and product scandals, the authors compared Korea with Japan, in terms of taking a social responsibility. Results - As soon as food safety scandals occurred in Japan, a local government quickly ordered Snow Brand to recall and stop producing problematic milk products. In addition, retailers have stopped displaying them on their store shelves to minimize the number of victims. By stopping selling them, Japanese retailers took a social responsibility for product scandals. Conclusions - The authors found that retailers play a very important role in protecting customer rights. Moreover, customers have become more and more aware of the roles of retailers taking a social responsibility for social issues. The research proposes that a government has to develop the laws to protect customers from food poisoning and product safety issues effectively and that boycott campaigns should be legally protected by a government and promoted by customers.

Unmanned Store, Retailtech and Digital Divide in South Korea

Purpose - A work way of 'face to face' or a work way of 'unmanned' is very meaningful trend in contrast of robot as a worker. This paper explored some cases of unmanned terminal and kiosk which has been quickly adopted to fastfood industry in South Korea and researched whether any inconvenience or trouble exists in the level of 'the poor' and 'the aged' or not at the time of 'touching' screen in unmanned store. Research design, data, and methodology -The authors examined a few previous studies in keywords of AmazonGo, kiosk, digital divide, information gap, deregulation, and analyzed some cases of 'unmanned terminal' defines restrictively as all kinds of unmanned device, terminal and equipment including kiosk regardless of any place and type. Results - Promotion strategy of the unhandy and retailers needs to offer 'expansion of education and learning', readiness for the law aspect, reform of kiosk industry and priority of sufficient budge and politic assistance by government side. Conclusions - This paper presented some strategies of eliminating 'digital divide' both for a 'the poor', 'the aged', and for a retailer, so that the former may easily purchase goods on unmanned terminal, and the latter may easily sell the more goods at unmanned store.
