        Mixing and electroconductive characteristics on the epoxy suspension with various shape and size of the silver flake were investigated experimentally. Epoxy suspension containing silver flake showed a behavior of the shear thinning, and decreases of silver size resulted in the increases of viscosity. Increasing the reactive diluent content brought about the decreases of viscosity. Increasing the reactive diluent content brought about the decreases of viscosity. But, considering adhesive property of epoxy suspension is important, it was found that reactive diluent content is appropriate what is lessened it. When small particles of silver flake was used in the ratio of 50:50, viscosity of epoxy suspension was the lowest. Volume resistivity expected from the SEM micrographs was different from tested epoxy suspension containing silver flake of two types.

      • 인계 난연제를 사용한 PC/ABS/SAN 수지의 특성

        Characteristics of polycarbonate(PC)/poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, ABS)/poly(styrene-acrylonitrile, SAN) composites were investigated by using non-halogenated fire-retardant such as triphenyl phosphate (TPP). The fire retardancy and impact strength of composite systems were thoroughly examined by using UL-94 V method and Izod impact tester. Comparing the reference samle(R) fire resistance of phenol/TPP/hexamine(NHMB) systems showed the same as V-0 grade in PC/ABS/SAN composites when NHMB 40phr was added, and heat distortion temperature(HDT) was about 81℃. Impact strength and HDT increased with an increase of the NHMB content but melt index(MI) decreased.

      • 고무 種類에 따른 고무 컴파운드의 加黃과 物理的·機械的 特性

        Vulcanization and physico-mechanical properties of rubber compound with type of rubber containing carbon black were investigated experimentally. In case of various rubber compounds, cure rate was most fast in the NR having methyl functional group in polymer chain. The decreases of glass transition temperature(Tg) of rubbers resulted in increases of rebound property and wear resistance, and heat buildup and tan δ(60℃) of the NR, solution polymerized-styrene butadiene rubber-I(S-SBR-I, bound Styrene : 18%, vinyl content :10%) and BR compound were relatively lower than others. Especially, it was expected that NR and S-SBR-I, from the view points of physico-mechanical properties and hysteresis of rubber compound for the tread compound in truck/bus tires in which loading bearing property is important.

      • 카본블랙의 종류와 충전량이 NR Compound 의 동적 점탄성에 미치는 영향

        Bound rubber formation of NR(natural rubber) compound containing various carbon blacks was increased as I_2 absorption number or DBPA (dibutylphthalate absorption) value was increased. The increases of surface area of carbon black resulted in increases of heat build-up and tan δ at 60℃ but decreases of rebound property and wear loss of NR compound. It is speculated that more damping at the interface of carbon black and rubber occurs in the presence of carbon black of high surface area. Increasing the loading level of carbon black N220 in NR compound resulted in the acceleration of cure rate. Tensile strength, elongation at break, wear loss and rebound property were found to decrease but heat buildup and tan δ at 60℃ to increase with the content of carbon black. Therefore, it is concluded that increasing the loading level of carbon black may affects rolling resistance of tires adversely.

        카본블랙 충전 여러 가지 SBR 컴파운드의 인열강도를 측정하였다. "Knotty tearing"은 인열이 일직선 방향으로 부터 크게 벗어나고 때로는 쪼개질 때 집중해서 일어나고, 인열 힘은 현저하게 증가한다. Knotty tearing은 탄성체의 유리 전이 온도와 관계가 깊은 어떤 온도 범위 사이에서 일어났다. Knotty tearing이 없는 경우 카본블랙 충전 컴파운드의 인열강도는 비충전 컴파운드에 비해서 히스테리시스 증가에 기인하여 5-10배 높게 나타났다.

        Evaluation of immunogenicity of the 2008-2009 seasonal influenza vaccines by microneutralization test

        Purpose: For evaluating the immunogenicity of an influenza vaccine, the microneutralization (MN) test has a higher sensitivity and specificity as compared to the hemagglutination inhibition (HI) test. However, the MN test is more time consuming and is difficult to standardize. We performed the MN test to determine its usefulness as an alternative or complementary test to the HI test for evaluating the immunogenicity of influenza vaccines. Methods: We compared the MN test with the HI test using 50 paired samples taken from a previous clinical study (2008-2009) in Korean children under 18 years of age. Results: The linear correlation coefficients of the 2 tests for H3N2, H1N1, and influenza B were 0.69, 0.70, and 0.66, respectively. We identified a high index of coincidence between the 2 tests. For an influenza vaccine, the postvaccination seroprotection rates and seroconversion rates determined by the MN test were 78.0% and 96.0%, 90% and 42.0%, and 42.0% and 48.0% for H3N2, H1N1, and influenza B, respectively. Geometric mean titer fold increases of H3N2, H1N1, and influenza B were 2.89, 5.04, and 4.29, respectively, and were 2.5-fold higher. We obtained good results in the evaluation of the immunogenicity of the 2008-2009 seasonal influenza vaccines. Conclusion: We found that the MN test was as effective as the HI test. Therefore, we suggest that the MN test can be used as an alternative or complementary test to the HI test for evaluating the immunogenicity of influenza vaccines.

        꼬막 패각의 특성과 소성 온도 영향

        본 연구에서는 꼬막 패각으로 인한 환경오염문제를 해결하고 천연 탄산칼슘(CaCO<sub>3</sub>), 산화칼슘(CaO)의 친환경적 자원화 효율을 높이기 위한 방안으로, 꼬막 패각의 특성과 소성온도의 영향을 검토하였다. 꼬막 패각의 주성분으로 Ca가 40.87%로 가장 많았으며, As, Cd, Cr, Pb, Hg 등의 유해 중금속은 불검출로 나타났다. 열적 특성은 소성온도가 600℃ 이하에서는 CaCO<sub>3</sub>, 800℃ 이상에서는 감량화 비율을 고려할 때 완전한 CaO 형태로 존재하는 것을 알 수 있다. 고온 소성과정 중 CaCO<sub>3</sub>가 CaO로 전환되는 과정에서 발생되는 이산화탄소(CO<sub>2</sub>) 기포에 의해 다공성 또는 미세한 입자화가 진행되며, 소성한 시료의 비표면적 증가에 크게 기여하는 것으로 판단된다. 꼬막 패각의 결정구조는 120℃ 건조의 경우 CaCO<sub>3</sub>(Aragonite), 소성에 따라 550℃에서는 CaCO<sub>3</sub>(Calcite), 950℃에서는 CaO(Lime, syn) 형태였다. 소성온도에 따른 꼬막 패각의 pH 변화는 소성온도와 농도가 증가 할수록 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 최대 pH를 얻기 위한 최적 조건은 소성온도는 850℃, 농도는 1.78 g/L로 판단된다. The characteristics of the Cockle shell and the effect of calcination temperature were investigated in this study to solve the environmental pollutions caused by Cockle shell, and to improve the eco-friendly recycling efficiencies of natural calcium carbonate (CaCO<sub>3</sub>) and calcium oxide (CaO). Ca, as the main and minor chemical components of Cockle shell, was the highest with 40.87%, and harmful heavy metals such as As, Cd, Cr, Pb and Hg were not detected. For the thermal characteristics, CaCO<sub>3</sub> was dominant species below 600℃, and a complete CaO form was dominant over 800℃ with considering of the volume reduction ratio. Porous or fine granulation was progressed by carbon dioxide (CO<sub>2</sub>) gases, which were generated during the conversion from CaCO<sub>3</sub> to CaO at high temperature calcination process, and the specific surface areas of the calcined sample were increased as well. The crystal structure of Cockle shell was CaCO<sub>3</sub> (Aragonite) at 120℃, and CaCO<sub>3</sub> (Calcite) at 550℃ and CaO (Lime, syn) at 950℃ depending on the calcination process. The pH of solution with Cockle shell was increased with increasing calcination temperature and concentration. The optimum calcination temperature and concentration of Cockle shell for the maximum pH were at 850℃ and 1.78 g/L, respectively.

      • 도전성 에폭시 접착제의 경화 및 열적특성

        Cure and thermal characteristics with the amount of accelerator and two-types diluent(BEG and PGE)in epoxy as a binder resin were experimentally investigated. In case of urea-based accelerator used for cure promotion of epoxy, cure Temperature brought about the decreases of 20∼30℃ than no accelerator. In view of temperature and time of cure, heat of reaction, and conversion, it was found that accelerator and cure agent is appropriate in the ratio of five to three. The rate constant of reaction, k₁and k₂,were linearly increased with increases of temperature, and the apparent activation energy for this reaction were 37.76kcal/g-mol, and 29.24kcal/g-mol, respectively. The temperature dependence of peak reaching with reaction could be expressed in the following equation. A=-0.2885T(k)+120.89 The increases of the amount of diluent resulted in increases of heat of reaction, decreases of conversion, and delay of cure reaction independent of diluent types. Thus, considering long strength of adhesive, it was also found that PGE diluent is superior to that of BEG

      • 변형된 semi-EV 가황계를 적용한 NR/BR 블렌드의 특성에 관한 연구

        Characteristics of NR/BR blend modified semi-EV(efficient vulcanization) cure system were investigated experimentally. It was found that, by stearic acid adding to semi-EV cure system, the scorch time in the vulcanization of rubber compound was delayed and the reversion resistance of the thermal aged rubber was improved. Comparing with conventional and semi-EV cure system, it is expected that modified semi-EV cure system may show a low rolling resistance with maintaining the similar physico-mechanical properties to them.
