中山間地(標高 250m)에서 참깨 播種適期와 晩播限界期에 關한 硏究

In order to determinate the optimum plating time and its limitation, an eary harvest and high yeld sesame varety-Poong Nyun Ggae-was cultivated on the semi-mountainous area of 250 meter above sea level. The variety was cultivated with a single and double cropping system. The single cropping plots were covered with transparent polyethylene film on 1st , 11th and 21th in May and the double cropping plots were covered with PE film on 5th, 15th, 25th in June respectively and on 5th July. The results obtained are as follows; Yield of the plot planted on 1st May was 59kg/10a. In compaorisn with this, yields were increased 16% and 25% in plots planted on 11th and 21th May, respectively. The optimum planting time was considered near 20th May for the single cropping system and it should be considered before 15th June for the double cropping system in the semimountainous area.
평가용 심폐소생술 모형을 활용한 일대일 피드백 교육방법의 효과 -일개 간호대학생을 대상으로-

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of cardiopulmonary resuscitation education with simulation feedback on CPR knowledge, self-efficacy and precision level of CPR skill in nursing students. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group, pretest-posttest design was used. Out of 26 subjects selected by convenient sampling, 13 students were randomly assigned to either experimental or control group in the third grade at nursing college. 2005 American Heart Association guideline review and practice using manikin following DVD instruction produced by AHA were given to the control group, while man-to-man feedback by using evaluation simulator was added to the experimental group. The results are as follows: after the intervention, significant differences were shown in CPR knowledge, self-efficacy, practice competency of CPR scheme, accuracy of ventilation volume, compression rate and depth of chest compression of experimental group. The results showed that CPR education program was effective in improving CPR knowledge, self-efficacy, practice competency, and accuracy of CPR skill in nursing students. It revealed that feedback with simulator was more effective. CPR education program can be an effective intervention for nursing students to be excellent in CPR.

Purpose: This study investigated the relationship between cultural competence and empathy of nursing students who can provide appropriate health care to their patients in the future. Methods: All the participants (N=364) were nursing students and completed a survey of the Caffrey Cultural Competence in Health Scale (CCCHS), Cultural Competence Assessment (CCA), and Interpersonal Reactions Index (IRI). Results: The mean of cultural competence and empathy of participants were 2.8 and 3.7, respectively. The cultural competence score in male students was higher than the score of female students (p=.044). In addition, the cultural competence score of nursing students who had an experience with foreigners was higher than the score of students who had not (p=.017). However, the cultural competence score of nursing students who did not take a multicultural education was higher than the score of students who took it. The empathy score of female students was higher than the score of male students (p=.003). The empathy score of students who had a multicultural education was higher than the score of students who did not take it (p=.008). Conclusion: The findings suggest that nursing students need to enhance cultural competence and empathy.
The TGFβ→TAK1→LATS→YAP1 Pathway Regulates the Spatiotemporal Dynamics of YAP1

The Hippo kinase cascade functions as a central hub that relays input from the “outside world” of the cell and translates it into specific cellular responses by regulating the activity of Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1). How Hippo translates input from the extracellular signals into specific intracellular responses remains unclear. Here, we show that transforming growth factor β (TGFβ)-activated TAK1 activates LATS1/2, which then phosphorylates YAP1. Phosphorylated YAP1 (p-YAP1) associates with RUNX3, but not with TEAD4, to form a TGFβ-stimulated restriction (R)-point-associated complex which activates target chromatin loci in the nucleus. Soon after, p-YAP1 is exported to the cytoplasm. Attenuation of TGFβ signaling results in re-localization of unphosphorylated YAP1 to the nucleus, where it forms a YAP1/TEAD4/SMAD3/AP1/p300 complex. The TGFβ-stimulated spatiotemporal dynamics of YAP1 are abrogated in many cancer cells. These results identify a new pathway that integrates TGFβ signals and the Hippo pathway (TGFβ→TAK1→LATS1/2→YAP1 cascade) with a novel dynamic nuclear role for p-YAP1.
시판 정유의 성분 분석과 다약제 내성균에 대한 항균활성 및 항산화 효능 평가

본 연구에서는 국내 시판 중인 정유의 화학적 구성, 항균 및 항산화 효과를 조사하였다. 정유의 성분 분석은 GC-MS법을 이용하였다. 정유는 그람음성, 양성 및 다약제 내성균에 대하여 광범위한 항균 범위를 보여주었다. 정유 5종의 항균활성은 40개 병원성 세균에 대한 MIC로 측정하였다. Lemongrass와 manuka는 0.0625-0.5% (v/w), tea tree는 0.03125-1.0% (v/w), thyme 0.0625-1.0% (v/w) 및 ravensara는 1-4% (v/w)의 MIC 수치를 나타내었다. 정유의 항산화 활성은 환원력 및 DPPH법으로 평가하였다. 5종의 정유 모두 농도 의존적으로 DPPH free radical 저해 및 환원력을 가지고 있었으며, thyme이 대조군인 ascorbic acid와 비교 시 가장 높은 항 산화능을 보였다. 5종의 정유 모두 고른 항균 및 항산화능을 가지고 있으며, 이중 thyme이 가장 높은 항균활성 및 항산화능을 가지고 있어 천연 항균 항산화제로써의 가치가 있다고 생각되었다. 본 연구진은 국내 시판중인 정유 5종의 성분분석, 항균 및 항산화 활성을 처음으로 비교 분석하여 보고하였다. In the present study, the chemical compositions and antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of commercially available essential oils in Korea were investigated. The essential oils were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The results demonstrated that they exhibit a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activities against gram positive, gram negative, and multidrug resistant (MDR) strains. The antimicrobial activity of five of the essential oils against 40 organisms was assessed using the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). The MIC values were in the ranges of 0.0625-0.5% (v/w) for lemongrass and manuka, 0.03125-1.0% (v/w) for tea tree, 0.0625-1.0% (v/w) for thyme, and 1-4% (v/w) for ravensara, depending on the pathogens studied. This study revealed that, among the essential oils tested, lemongrass and thyme oil showed broad antimicrobial activity against infectious bacteria. The antioxidant activities and the reducing power of the essential oils were determined with a 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. Thyme oil exhibited the strongest antioxidant activity comparing with ascorbic acid. This is the first report on the chemical compositions and antimicrobial activities of commercially available essential oils against infectious bacteria and MDR strains acquired from Korean hospitals.
범람원에서 발견된 적색밴드에 대한 미세구조 특성: 고고학 유적층을 사례로

고고학 유적을 함유한 범람원 퇴적층에서 발견되는 적색의 밴드에 대하여 광학현미경을 통하여 미세구조 특성을 살펴보았으며, 퇴적층의 연대측정과 입도분석을 실시하였다. 퇴적층은 전체적으로 상향세립화의 경향을 보이며, 이질 크기의 적색 밴드들은 사질 물질들과 교호하고 있으며, 경계는 다양하다. 적색 밴드는 이질 크기의 물질들로 충진되어 있으며, 산화광물과 유기물들로 주로 구성되어 있다. 적색 밴드와 사질 퇴적물이 접하는 면이 항상 날카롭지 않고 점이적으로 발달하기도 하며 요동하는 형태도 발견된다는 점을 고려하면, 점토질 퇴적물이 먼저 퇴적된 사질 및 실트질 퇴적물 위에 쌓이고 이 후 토양수나 지하수의 유동을 따라 하부로 침투하는 과정을 통하여 현재의 적색 밴드를 형성한 것으로 사료된다. 트렌치로 인해 신선한 대기에 7-8일 노출된 이후, 이러한 적색밴드들이 선명하게 보였다는 점을 고려하면, 대부분의 퇴적시간 동안, 적색밴드는 환원환경에 놓였으며, 산화환경에 노출되면서 급격하게 적색화를 띠게 된 것으로 추정된다. 이러한 사례는 적색밴드는 광역적인 기후 환경 뿐만 아니라, 국지적인 배수조건(pH)에 의해서도 형성될 수 있다는 가능성을 시사한다. Multiple bands of reddish layers are found in the flooldplain sediments, which are studied by microscopes along with grain size analysis and OSL dating. The matrix composing reddish band consist of clay and organic materials. The sediments fines upward from sand dominant layers to silt dominant layers, suggesting that they were originally deposited in natural levee but changed into floodplain with channel migration. The boundary between reddish band and more sandy clasts shows various features such as sharp, undulatory and gradual, which in turn, reflect that the bands may have capped the sandy clasts and relocated percolating soil and ground water. The iron oxides in reddish band turns very quickly red when they are under oxidized condition. This case study might suggest that the reddish band form by the change in local draining condition.

Extravasation of contrast material from a branch-of the middle meningeal artery during cerebral angiography following head injury has been regarded by some to be diagnostic evidence of extradural or subdural hematoma. Furthermore, the two varieties of blood collections may coexist, thus showing on the angiog-raphic films atypical blood vessel displacements which are difficult to interpret. Authors reported a case of subdural hematoma with extravasation of contrast material from a torn middle meningeal artery into the diploi, It was seen near the crossing of a branch of the middle meningeal artery and a fracture line.
