This study is to investigate the influence of the manufacturing company and fineness of cement on bleeding of concrete. According to the results, as fineness of comment increases, slump and air content of fresh concrete decrease, and setting time is shortened. The amount of bleeding abates with an increase of fineness, and it is confirmed that bleeding does not occur especially in the case of B8000. it is confirmed that bleeding does not occur. Bleeding speed is higher in the case of OPC A than in the case OPC B, and grows low with an increase of fineness. It also becomes highest at about 60 minutes, and shows slow tendency in W/C of 45% in comparison with W/C of 50%. And It is confirmed that relativity between fineness of cement and the final amount of bleeding is very favorable. As the properties of hardened concrete, compressive strength do not make much difference between OPC A and B is little, and increases with an increase of fineness.

Patterns of Failure and Survival Trends in 3,808 Patients with Stage II Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Diagnosed from 1990 to 2012: A Large-Scale Retrospective Cohort Study

        Xue-Song Sun,Di-Han Liu,Sai-Lan Liu,Qiu-Yan Chen,Shan-Shan Guo,Yue-Feng Wen,Li-Ting Liu,Hao-Jun Xie,Qing-Nan Tang,Yu-Jing Liang,Xiao-Yun Li,Jin-Jie Yan,Ming-Huang Hong,Jun Ma,Lin-Quan Tang,Hai-Qiang M 대한암학회 2019 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.51 No.4

Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the survival trends and patterns of failure in patients with stage II nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) treated with radiotherapy (RT) and chemotherapy over the last 20 years. Materials and Methods Thirty-eight hundred and eight patients diagnosed with stage II NPC between January 1990 and December 2012 were involved in this retrospective cohort study. All patients were treated with RT. According to the main imaging techniques and RT technology, we categorized these patients into four calendar periods: 1990-1996, 1997-2002, 2003-2007, and 2008-2012. Overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), locoregional relapse-free survival (LRFS), and distant metastasis–free survival (DMFS) were served as the clinical outcome. Results After a median follow-up period of 84.7 months, we observed increasing trends in survival and disease control. The 3- and 5-year OS rates increased from 87.1% and 78.7% in the first calendar period to 97.4% and 94.5% in the last calendar period, respectively (p < 0.001). Additionally, significant increasing trends could be seen in the PFS and LRFS during the four calendar periods. In the subgroup analysis, the LRFS in patients older than 50 years at diagnosis showed greater improvement than younger patients. However, the rate of distant metastasis was stable and relatively low, as the 5-year DMFS ranged from 90.5% to 94.7% among the four calendar periods. Conclusion The survival rates in patients with stage II NPC showed increasing trends from 1990 to 2012. The advance of RT provided excellent locoregional control and enhanced OS.

Study on the Seismic Optimization Scheme of Steel Bundled-Tube Structure with Vertical Setback

        Yong Hao,Feng Chen,Yun-hui Han,Xue-qian Hao,Chun-hui Du,Qiu-yu Ding 대한토목학회 2024 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.28 No.2

In order to improve the seismic performance of vertical setback steel bundled-tube structure and meet the dynamic multi-objective requirements of seismic performance-based design, the optimization effects under rare earthquakes on the zone of fortification intensity 7 and 8 in China are researched by improving members stiffness and adding dampers in the weak parts of structure, based on dynamic elastic-plastic analysis. The results show that: 1) Under rare earthquakes on the zone of fortification intensity 7, increasing the stiffness of weak skirt beam can improve the seismic performance of spiral and symmetrical setback structure; 2) For the spiral setback structure, under rare earthquakes on the zone of fortification intensity 7, the damper can only be arranged at the junction of the first layer of the setback frame unit and the frame unit without setback. However, under rare earthquakes on the zone of fortification intensity 8, it is not advisable to install dampers at the weak areas; 3) After incorporating dampers at the weak areas of symmetrical setback structure, the optimized members experienced a reduction in stress levels, significantly decreased the inter-layer displacement angles with a maximum reduction of 43%, and the optimization effect is significant.

Microscopic Study on the Mechanism of Tool Bond Wear in Cutting Ni–Fe-Cr-Co–Cu Series Nickel-Base Superalloy

Zhao Peng Hao,Xue Han,Yi Hang Fan,Zai Zhen Lou 한국정밀공학회 2021 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.22 No.4

In the process of nickel-based alloy machining, chips are easy to bond on the tool surface, which weaken the tool performance and make the tool wear. Therefore, it is very important to study the mechanism of tool bond wear in the process of nickel-based superalloy machining. In order to reflect the wear process of the tool from the perspective of micro cutting, the molecular dynamics simulation model for cutting Ni–Fe-Cr-Co–Cu nickel-based alloy with SiC tool was established. The Morse potential functions between the tool and workpiece are calculated, and the simulation results are analyzed visually. It is found that the bond wear is the main wear form of tool in the process of cutting nickel-based alloy, and the wear processes are divided into three stages: contact, adhesion and shedding. The stress and strain in the cutting area are calculated and it is found that the bond occurs when the tool-workpiece extrusion is strong. Through the calculation of radial distribution function and formation energy, it is found that Ni-Si compound is formed on the tool surface, and the newly generated Ni-Si compound reduces the tool performance compared with the silicon carbide structure. This study provides a more complete microscopic explanation of the tool wear mechanism, which is helpful to find a method to prolong tool life.

      • Basic, HCC basic : PE-101 ; Opa interacting protein 5 (OIP) mediated Akt activation is involved in hepatocarcinogenesis

( Hua Li ),( Pei Pei Hao ),( Mi Jin Lee ),( Goung Ran Yu ),( Xue Ji Han ),( Dae Ghon Kim ) 대한간학회 2012 춘·추계 학술대회 (KASL) Vol.2012 No.-

Background: Opa interacting protein 5 (OIP5) encodes a 25- kDa protein with a coiled-coil domain. Previous studies have demonstrated the elevated expression of OIP5 mRNA in human gastric and colorectal carcinomas, but no report has functionally clarified the significance of OIP5 expression in human hepatocarcinogenesis and indicated its potential as a therapeutic target. The aim of study is to examine biological role of OIP5 in hepatocarcinogenesis. Methods: OIP5 mRNA expression was confirmed by Realtime- PCR analysis. OIP5 protein expression was investigated in HCC tissue and hepatoma cells by immunoblot and immunohistochemistry analysis. Cellular localization of OIP5 was detected by immunofluorescence. For the parallel determination of the relative levels of protein phosphorylation and mitogen- activated protein pinases (MAPKs) was experimented by the human phosphor-kinase array and (Phospho-MAPK) Array. Results: OIP5 abundantly expressed in tumor compared with non-tumor HCC tissues. OIP5 was localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Immunohistochemistry staining demonstrated that OIP5 was absent in normal liver, present in early and advanced tumours. Knockdown of OIP5 by shRNA specific to resulted in growth inhibition of hepatoma cell lines. Colony generation detected that OIP5 overexpression was approximate 2-fold more colony number. The knockdown of OIP5 resulted in decrease of soft agar colony generation. Phospho-AKT (s437) level was increased with OIP5 overexpression. OIP5 up- regulated in mitotic cell whereas OIP5 did not change in interphase. Conclusions: OIP5 may involved in hepatocarcinogenesis through Akt activation and tumor cell cycle progression.

Amelioration of radiation-induced liver damage by p-coumaric acid in mice

        Yun-Hong Li,Jiang-Xue Wu,Qian He,Jia Gu,Lin Zhang,Hao-Zhi Niu,Xin-Wen Zhang,Han-Ting Zhao,Jia-Ying Xu,Li-qiang Qin 한국식품과학회 2022 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.31 No.10

Radiation-induced liver damage (RILD) is a spiny problem in radiotherapy or other circumstances that exposure to radiation. The need for radioprotective agent is increasing to protect liver tissue. This study aimed to explore the hepatoprotective effect of p-coumaric acid (CA) against RILD. C57BL/6 male mice were exposed to 4 Gy irradiation and administrated with CA for 4 days starting on the same day of irradiation. Mice were sacrificed to obtain blood and liver tissues on day 3.5 or 14 post irradiation, respectively. The blood and liver tissues were collected. As compared with the only irradiated group, CA supplementation improved liver morphology, decreased serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, inhibited BCL2-associated X (BAX) protein expression, and improved the mice hematopoietic function. CA at the dose of 100 mg/kg body weight showed better effect compared to the other doses. Thus, CA might possess potential to protect against RILD.

Pharmacological interactions between intrathecal pregabalin plus tianeptine or clopidogrel in a rat model of neuropathic pain

Hyung Gon Lee,Yeo Ok Kim,Jeong Il Choi,Xue Hao Han,Yang Un Shin,Myung Ha Yoon 대한통증학회 2022 The Korean Journal of Pain Vol.35 No.1

Background: There is still unmet need in treating neuropathic pain and increasing awareness regarding the use of drug combinations to increase the effectiveness of treatment and reduce adverse effects in patients with neuropathic pain. Methods: This study was performed to determine the individual and combined effects of pregabalin, tianeptine, and clopidogrel in a rat model of neuropathic pain. The model was created by ligation of the L5-L6 spinal nerve in male Sprague–Dawley rats; mechanical allodynia was confirmed using von Frey filaments. Drugs were administered to the intrathecal space and mechanical allodynia was assessed; drug interactions were estimated by isobolographic or fixed-dose analyses. Results: Intrathecal pregabalin and tianeptine increased the mechanical withdrawal threshold in a dose-dependent manner, but intrathecal clopidogrel had little effect on the mechanical withdrawal threshold. An additive effect was noted between pregabalin and tianeptine, but not between pregabalin and clopidogrel. Conclusions: These findings suggest that intrathecal coadministration of pregabalin and tianeptine effectively attenuated mechanical allodynia in the rat model of neuropathic pain. Thus, pregabalin plus tianeptine may be a valid option to enhance the efficacy of neuropathic pain treatment.
