        丁酉再亂時の日本の目的と日本側の軍事行動

        In this paper, I will first present my theory that Japan’s purpose during the Jeongyu War was to conquer southern Korea. Secondly, I will confirm that the Japanese military campaign during the War was the rationale behind this theory. Thereafter, I will suggest new evidence to support this theory. Initially, Toyotomi Hideyoshi gave the strategy to commanders in his "February Decree" on 21 February 1597. Its main points were as follows. (A) Military actions of invading troops should be decided by a majority vote of the commanders; (B) Invading troops were to firstly control Jeolla Province全羅道 and, if possible, invade Chungcheong Province 忠清道 and other areas. (C) After (B), invading troops would then build "Shioki no shiro 仕置之城". Hideyoshi assumed that Japan had already held Gyeongsang Province 慶尚道. "Shioki no shiro " was a Japanese-style castle for realizing effective control. Therefore based on (B), we have to judge that the Japan’s purpose during the War was a conquest of southern Korea. The strategy of the "February Decree" was a fundamental condition of the Japanese military campaign. Commanders held the Busan Conference釜山会議 in July, the Jeonju Conference 全州会議 in August, and the Jeongeup Conference 井邑会議 in September. Decisions to invade Jeolla Province and Chungcheong Province, and to re-invade Jeolla Province were reached at those meetings, in addition to building "Shioki no shiro". All of these were subject to (A)~(C) and naturally matched the aforementioned purpose. From the above consideration, it follows that my theory is reconfirmed. Furthermore, this paper examines the ruling situation which corresponded to the second phase of the conquest. For example, Koreans were engaged in building the Suncheon Castle 順天倭城 and approximately 500 armed Koreans protected the Ulsan Castle 蔚山倭城 at the battle of Ulsan. Even though very brief, the rule of southern Korea had been achieved by Japan. However, with the battle of Ulsan as an opportunity, several commanders raised one measure to Hideyoshi. This was to abandon the Ulsan Castle and Suncheon Castle at both ends of the front. However, he firmly rejected this measure, refusing to abandon these castles. As mentioned above, dominance had been achieved in the vicinity of both castles. The newly built Suncheon Castle, which was the only "Shioki no shiro" in Jeolla Province, was just a symbol of the Jeolla Province conquest. Consequently, Hideyoshi preserved this castle. This action obviously shows that the Japan’s purpose during the Jeongyu War was to conquer southern Korea. I suggest this fact as the latest evidence of my broader theory.

        日本文獻の壬辰倭亂(文祿·慶長の役)の記錄とその限界

        본고는 2016년 10월 21일 동국대학교에서 개최된 동국역사문화연구소 2016년 추계학술회의에서 구두 발표한 「日本文獻の壬辰倭亂(文祿·慶長の役)の記錄とその限界」의 내용을 수정·발전시킨 것이다. 본고에서는 임진왜란을 야기한 도요토미 히데요시의 발급 문서를 중심으로 당시의 조선과 그 諸地域에 대한 호칭을 검토하여 일본 문헌에 보이는 對朝鮮認識의 한계를 제시하였다. 그리고 그러한 한계와 “朝鮮曲筆”의 배경에 대해 언급하였다. 조선과 그 諸地域에 대한 호칭의 사례는 다음과 같은 것이다. 국가로서의 高麗. 행정구획으로서의 朝鮮·高麗·百濟·新羅. 慶尙道·全羅道·忠淸道에 대한 ‘白國’, ‘赤國’, ‘靑國’. 그러한 호칭이 생겨난 대전제가 되었던 것은 朝鮮에 대한 히데요시의 중대한 오해와 착각이었다고 생각된다. 히데요시의 중대한 오해라는 것은 조선은 이미 일본에 복속하였다는 認識이다. 또한 히데요시의 착각이라는 것은 조선뿐만이 아니라 明도 정복할 수 있다는 인식이다. The author made an oral presentation entitled "Japanese Literature Records on the Imjin War (Bunroku-Keicho War) and its Limitations" at the Institute of Dongguk History and Culture 2016 Fall academic meeting which was held at Dongguk University on October 21, 2016. This paper is based on that presentation. This paper considers appellations for Choson and its various regions at that time mainly through the analysis of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s documents. Hideyoshi initiated the Imjin War. The paper also presents the limitations of the recognition of Choson as seen in the Japanese literature. In addition, I refer to the background of such limitations and misrepresentations about Choson. Examples of appellations for Choson and its various regions are as follows. Korea 高麗 as an appellation for the nation. Korea, Choson, Baekje 百濟, and Silla 新羅 as appellations for administrative districts. Shirokuni 白國, Akakun 赤國and Aokuni 靑國 as appellations for Gyeongsang Province 慶尙道, Jeolla Province全羅道 and Chungcheong Province忠淸道. I suggest that the major premises of forming such appellations were Hideyoshi’s gross misunderstanding and illusion. His misunderstanding was based on his recognition that Choson had already submitted itself to Japan. The illusion was his recognition that Japan would be able to conquer Ming 明 as well as Choson.

      • Structure–reactivity correlations in nucleophilic substitution reactions of Y-substituted phenyl X-substituted benzoates with anionic and neutral nucleophiles

        <P>A kinetic study is reported for the reactions of 4-nitrophenyl X-substituted benzoates (1a–l) and Y-substituted phenyl benzoates (2a–l) with two anionic nucleophiles (OH<SUP>−</SUP> and CN<SUP>−</SUP>) and three amines (piperidine, hydrazine, and glycylglycine) in 80 mol% H<SUB>2</SUB>O–20 mol% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) at 25.0 ± 0.1 °C. Each Hammett plot exhibits two intersecting straight lines for the reactions of 1a–l with the anionic nucleophiles and piperidine, while the Yukawa–Tsuno plots for the same reactions are linear. The Hammett plots for the reactions of 2a–l with hydrazine and glycylglycine demonstrate much better linear correlations with <I>σ</I><SUP>−</SUP> constants than with <I>σ</I>° or <I>σ</I> constants, indicating that the leaving group departure occurs at the rate determining step (RDS). On the contrary, <I>σ</I><SUP>−</SUP> constants result in poorer Hammett correlation than <I>σ</I>° constants for the corresponding reactions with OH<SUP>−</SUP> and CN<SUP>−</SUP>, indicating that the leaving group departure occurs after the RDS for the reactions with the anionic nucleophiles.         메탄발효를 위한 도시쓰레기 초고온 가용화 방법의 효율성 검토

        The efficiency of biological hydrolysis at 80℃ on municipal solid waste mixed with anaerobic digestion sludge was investigated in 100L batch reactors. The hydrolysis effect was observed within a day, when the hydrolysis reactor used for a pre-treatment reactor for methanogenesis, and the effect was observed during two days, When the reactor used for post-treatment reactor. For both configurations, methane production rate decreased, when hydrolysis was carried out more than a day. Gaseous ammonia in the hydrolysis reactors was successtully removed by the ammonia stripping system. Microbial diversity analysis on the hydrolysis reactors indicated dependency of microbial diversity on the configuration of the hydrolysis reactors. Carbohydrate and lactate degrading microbes dominated in the hydrolysis reactor, when the hydrolysis reactor used for a pre-treatment reactor for methanogenesis, while protein degrading microbes dominated in the post-treatment reactor.

        Effect of Mitogens, Supplement of β-mercaptoethanol and Fetal Bovine Serum Supplementation in Whole Blood Culture Medium for Bovine Chromosome Analysis

        We investigated the effects of the mitogen supplements of 3 types, pokeweed mitogen (PWM), phytohemagglutinin (PHA) and concanavalin A (ConA), to a whole blood culture system on the number of metaphase spreads obtained in perinatal bovine chromosome analysis. In addition, the supplementation of ${\beta}$-mercaptoethanol (${\beta}$-ME) and FBS was examined in such system. Significant differences (p<0.05) were seen in the number of metaphase spreads with PHA stimulation compared to both PWM and ConA stimulation. When examined the effects of ${\beta}$-ME supplementation, the number of metaphase spreads was significantly (p<0.05) increased at $30{\mu}M$ ${\beta}$-ME compared to control. When evaluated FBS supplementation during PWM stimulation, no significant effect of the supplementation was found. Finally, the effects of the cortisol concentration (10-20, 20-30 and >30 ng/ml) of the blood samples were examined. There was no significant effect of cortisol concentration (p>0.05) among these 3 cortisol concentration groups. The mean percentages of normal metaphase plates (2n=60) from each calf 1) with ${\beta}$-ME, 2) without ${\beta}$-ME and 3) with FBS stimulated with PWM were not significantly different (p>0.05). In conclusion, these findings may be useful in cytogenetic screening programs for not only perinatal calves but also for mature cattle.
