Antecedents of Accepting Disruptive Innovation: The Perspective of Value Congruence
CUI, Yuan,ZHANG, Tingting,KIM, Seungwoon,FENG, Shi Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.2
Originating in value congruence theory, this study aims to give a clear understanding of the transformation process of consumers from incumbent technology to disruptive innovation technology. Moreover, the moderating effect of personal innovativeness in the process of consumers' switching to disruptive innovation is investigated. This study combines value congruence with expectation-disconfirmation theory, technology-switching theory, and the personal innovativeness of the disruptive innovation product, explaining why consumers have transformed from an incumbent product into a disruptive innovation. Data was collected through a questionnaire from 280 smartphone users in China. The respondents were mainly potential consumers who had never bought Redmi phones, namely, a smart product owned by the renowned Chinese company Xiaomi. The hypothesis of the research model is based on the example of the Redmi smartphone, which has been confirmed by existing smartphone users in China. Through investigation, the results of multivariable regression analysis show the decisive variables that influence consumer intentions, and we analyze the role of personal innovativeness in moderating between dissatisfaction with the incumbent product and purchase intention of a product based on disruptive innovation. The findings of this study can provide a certain reference for the sustainable growth of Xiaomi and the development of new products.

Several studies have reported the effect of absorption of procyanidins and their contribution to the small intestine. However, differences between dietary interventions of procyanidins and interventions via antibiotic feeding in pigs are rarely reported. Following 16S rRNA gene Illumina MiSeq sequencing, we observed that both procyanidin administration for 2 months (procyanidin-1 group) and continuous antibiotic feeding for 1 month followed by procyanidin for 1 month (procyanidin-2 group) increased the number of operational taxonomic units, as well as the Chao 1 and ACE indices, compared to those in pigs undergoing antibiotic administration for 2 months (antibiotic group). The genera Fibrobacter and Spirochaete were more abundant in the antibiotic group than in the procyanidin-1 and procyanidin-2 groups. Principal component analysis revealed clear separations among the three groups. Additionally, using the online Molecular Ecological Network Analyses pipeline, three co-occurrence networks were constructed; Lactobacillus was in a co-occurrence relationship with Trichococcus and Desulfovibrio and a co-exclusion relationship with Bacillus and Spharerochaeta. Furthermore, metabolic function analysis by phylogenetic investigation of communities by reconstruction of unobserved states demonstrated modulation of pathways involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids, energy, and nucleotides. These data suggest that procyanidin influences the gut microbiota and the intestinal metabolic function to produce beneficial effects on metabolic homeostasis.

Maca, Lepidium meyenii Walpers (Brassicaceae), has been the subject of much research due to its unique biological activity. Maca is widely distributed in Yunnan Province, China, but is not well recognized in the market. In this study, through a chemical analysis, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and principal component analysis (PCA), the nutritional and bioactive components of different varieties, processing methods, harvesting times, and storage periods of maca were determined and analyzed. The results indicated that whole maca when dried at 35°C, harvested around the winter solstice and planted at an altitude of about 3,000 meters was favorable for the production of nutrients and bioactive components. Compared to black maca, yellow maca had higher levels of glucosinolates, flavonoids, alkaloids and macamides. In addition, a shorter storage period (less than one year) of maca leads to a higher content of bioactive components. The findings here provide a scientific basis for the cultivation and origin processing of maca

Alantolactone is a sesquiterpene lactone isolatedfrom Inula helenium L. Although alantolactone possessesanti-inflammation and apoptosis-induction activities, theunderlying mechanism of anti-cancer effect on humanbreast cancer cells remains largely unknown. In this study,we explored the possibility of alantolactone as an apoptosis-inducing cytotoxic agent using MDA-MB-231 cells asin vitro model. Alantolactone significantly induced itsapoptosis, demonstrated by cell cycle analysis, annexinV-APC/7-AAD double staining and dUTP nick end labeling. Additionally, alantolactone triggered the mitochondrial-mediated caspase cascade apoptotic pathway, whichwas confirmed by increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, loss of MMP,release of cytc from mitochondria to cytoplasm, activationof caspase 9/3, and subsequent cleavage of PARP. Z-VADFMKpartially prevented apoptosis induced by alantolactone. Alantolactone provoked the production of ROS, whileNAC (a scavenger of ROS) reversed alantolactone-mediateddepolarization of MMP and apoptosis. Alantolactonemodulated the activities of MAPKs. As expected, cotreatmentwith SB203580, SP600125 or U0126 could reducedthe apoptotic rate. Furthermore, alantolactone decreasedthe protein expressions of p-NF-kB p65 and p-STAT3,increased p-c-Jun level in a dose-dependent manner. Thesefindings suggested that alantolactone possessed anticanceractivity via ROS-mediated mitochondrial dysfunctioninvolving MAPK pathway, and had an effect on the transcriptionfactors of NF-kB, AP-1 and STAT3.
A Motion Detection Approach based on UAV Image Sequence
( Hong-xia Cui ),( Ya-qi Wang ),( Fangfei Zhang ),( Tingting Li ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.3
Aiming at motion analysis and compensation, it is essential to conduct motion detection with images. However, motion detection and tracking from low-altitude images obtained from an unmanned aerial system may pose many challenges due to degraded image quality caused by platform motion, image instability and illumination fluctuation. This research tackles these challenges by proposing a modified joint transform correlation algorithm which includes two preprocessing strategies. In spatial domain, a modified fuzzy edge detection method is proposed for preprocessing the input images. In frequency domain, to eliminate the disturbance of self-correlation items, the cross-correlation items are extracted from joint power spectrum output plane. The effectiveness and accuracy of the algorithm has been tested and evaluated by both simulation and real datasets in this research. The simulation experiments show that the proposed approach can derive satisfactory peaks of cross-correlation and achieve detection accuracy of displacement vectors with no more than 0.03pixel for image pairs with displacement smaller than 20pixels, when addition of image motion blurring in the range of 0~10pixel and 0.002variance of additive Gaussian noise. Moreover, this paper proposes quantitative analysis approach using tri-image pairs from real datasets and the experimental results show that detection accuracy can be achieved with sub-pixel level even if the sampling frequency can only attain 50 frames per second.

The soluble dietary fiber from Asparagus officinalis(ASDF) was successively prepared using enzymolysiscombined with spray-drying technology. Highperformanceliquid chromatography analysis showed thatASDF contained two polysaccharide fractions with theaverage molecular weight of 2.77 9 105 and6.44 9 103 Da, and was composed of mannose, rhamnose, galacturonic acid, glucose, galactose, and arabinose with amolecular ratio of 19.93:1.02:1.94:32.17:1.00:1.91,respectively. ASDF showed potential in vitro antioxidantactivities. The oral administration of ASDF significantlyreduced the levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride, andlow-density lipoprotein cholesterol in HD-induced miceserum. Furthermore, 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysisshowed that ASDF significantly affected the compositionof intestinal microbiota, especially reducing the Firmicutes/Bacteroidotetes ratio and the relative abundances ofDesulfobacterota, Proteobacteria, Actinobacteriota andincreasing that of Muribaculaceae, Bacteroides, and Alloprevotella. These results demonstrated that the intake ofASDF could regulate intestinal microbiota and serum lipidlevels in hyperlipidemic conditions.
