      • 고분화 화강암에서의 Eu 동위원소 분별작용

        희토류원소중의 하나인 Eu은 자연계에서 2가, 3가와 같이 2개의 산화수를 갖고 있고, 아울러 두개의 동위원소(<SUP>151</SUP>Eu, <SUP>153</SUP>Eu)만을 갖고 있다. 그리고 운석으로 규격화한 암석내 희토류원소 분포도는 화성암의 진화사 즉 분화도를 이해하기위한 중요한 인자 중의 하나이다. 그리고 고분화 화강암 중 일부는 그 함량을 원시운석으로 규격화하였을 때 ‘희토류원소의 테트라드 효과’라 불리우는 독특한 희토류원소 분포도와 더불어 Eu의 부(-)의 이상이 매우 큰 지구화학적 특징을 보여준다. 최근 Lee and Tanaka (2019, 2021a)는 희토류원소 중의 하나인 Eu의 안정동위원소의 새로운 분석법의 개발과 더불어 토대로 분화된 화강암에서의 Eu 동위원소의 분별작용을 보고하였다(2021B). 이 발표에서는 고분화 화강암과 분화도가 크지 않은 화강암에서의 희토류원소 분포도의 특성과 Eu 동위원소비의 차이(즉 동위원소 분별작용)을 활용하여, 희토류원소 테트라드 효과의 발달정도-화강암질 마그마의 분화도-Eu의 이상의 크기 변화 그리고 Eu 동위원소 분별작용의 발생도를 비교함으로써 희토류원소의 테트라드 효과의 형성과정과 Eu의 부(-)의 이상의 형성과정의 선후관계에 대해 토의하고자 한다.       • DETECTING INFLUENTIAL SUBSETS IN REGRESSION ANALYSIS BY MEANS OF CLUSTER ANALYSIS

        본 논문은 회귀분석에 있어서의 influential subsets의 탐색에 관하여 논한다. 이를 위하여 Moon, Yanagi and Tanaka(1992)에 의해 제안된 계층적 군집 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 이 알고리즘은 경험 영향력 함수(EIF)가 이용가능한 다변량 해석법에 있어서의 influential subsets을 탐색하기 위한 일반적인 방법의 하나로서 고안된 것이다. 또한 이를 위하여 일반화 영향력 함수(generalized influence function)를 유도하게 되며, 몇가지 유형의 영향력 측면 - 즉, 추정치와 추정치의 정도(精度)에 대한 영향 - 에서 정의되는 군집간의 유사성을 이용하였다. 이 논문의 주된 목적은 앞의 연구에 의한 알고리즘을 회귀분석에 적용하여 기존의 multiple case 진단법과의 결과 비교를 통하여 그것의 효율성을 논하는 데 있다.

      • Investigation Into the Design of the Dual Temperature Reefer Container using CFD

        In the transport of fruit and vegetables by ship, it is necessary to maintain freshness for a long period compared to air freight. Since the optimal storage temperature varies depending on the item, it is preferable to provide several temperature zones in one container. The objective of this study was to develop a dual temperature reefer container which temperature was set at 0°C and 10°C, and the optimum air conditioning design was investigated by using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to analyze thermal fluid. As a result, it was clarified that two rooms were adjusted to 0°C and 10°C in summer condition and winter condition. For opening direction of the return port, in consideration of the occurrence of condensation on the load, the upper opening was preferable. In addition, it was shown that it was necessary to improve such as extending the outlet of the duct to avoid a low temperature injury.

      • Contribution of ipRGC to the Fluorescent Feeling

        Fluorescence is generated when a substance absorbs light energy at a short wavelength and then emits light energy at a longer wavelength. This unique characteristic evokes a “fluorescent feeling,” which is different from the perception that is detected when objects reflect light. In our previous study, when an image that was colorimetrically equivalent to a real fluorescent object was reproduced on a monitor, the fluorescent feeling evoked by the reproduced image was reduced. This suggested that the differences in spectral distribution between a reproduced image and a real fluorescent object can affect the fluorescent feeling. In recent years, the role of intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs) in the detection of brightness has been reported. In this study, we investigate the contribution of ipRGCs to the fluorescent feeling. In our experiment, ipRGC stimulation was tested and compared to the light flux stimulus. We investigated both central vision and peripheral vision. We found that as ipRCG excitation increased, the participants perceived a larger fluorescent feeling. In addition, a large fluorescent feeling was perceived in the peripheral vision, where ipRGCs play a prominent role in image detection. These results indicate that ipRGCs are important for the development of the fluorescent feeling.

      • Comparative Study on the Runoff Process of Granite Drainage Basins in Korea and Mongolia

        Dissected erosional surfaces are widely distributed in the western part of Korea (e.g. Icheon, Chungju, Jecheon, Seosan). The deposits with thickness of less than 2m occur on the smooth bedrock surface are composed of poorly sorted subangular gravels with less than 20cm diameter. However, only weathered mantle of granites without the gravel layer are observed at some outcrops. The results of grain size analysis of deposits of Icheon district revealed that the characteristic of the gain size distribution is very similar with the results of sheetflood deposits presented by Blair (1999) in the Death Valley. Loess layer with buried soil layers of MIS7 covers the sheetflood deposits. The loess layer implies that the sheetflood deposits occurred before MIS7 based on the typical Loess sequences presented by Naruse et al.(2003). On the other hand, the climate of Korean Peninsula in MIS2 was very dry and cold (Yoon and Hwnag, 2003) by pollen analysis. This is because Yellow Sea was completely emerged during the MIS2(e.g. Sau\ito, 1998). So, it is thought that the climate in Korean Peninsula of not only MIS2 but also other glacial ages such as MIS8 was similar with present Mongolian climates. Tanaka et al.(2005) pointed out that Hortonian overlandflow occurs in grass vegetated granite basin in Mongolia. Therefore, dissected piedmont gentle slopes in the western Korea were possibly formed by sheetflood erosion during probably MIS8 as pediment widely distributed in Mongolia.

        なぜ夏目漱石は『満韓ところどころ』を中断したのか?

          Why did NATSUME Soseki interrrupt “Manchuria-Korea here and there?”<BR>  TANAKA Toshihiko (Kobe City University of foreign studies)<BR>  NATSUME Soseki(1867-1916), well known as the foremost novelist in modern Japan, traveled from September 2 to October 17 1909 in Manchuria and Korea, and as soon as returning to Tokyo started on October 21 an serial account of his travels in Asahi Shinbun, namely “Manchuria―Korea here and there”(1909). But under the pretext that the end of year came Soseki suddenly interrrupted on December 30 this serial in which he arrived at the Fushun coal mine in Manchuria. We can feel that this pretext is a poor excuse, and that a real reason is somewhere else. Why ever on earth did Soseki interrrupt his travel sketch?<BR>  In his travel Soseki visited Halbin after the Fushun coal mine. It is on October 26 that ITO Hirofumi was assasinated by AN Jung-geun. It is clear that Soseki’s interrruption had something to do with this event; but what is the real relationship between these two events? That is a queation we try to answer in this paper. We also try to examine Soseki’s vision of Asia(China and Korea) as well as of the Occident.
