Chemical Control of Leaf Spot of Date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera) in Sultanate of Oman

Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) is an important fruit and cash crop in Sultanate of Oman, occupying nearly 60% of the total cultivated area. However, leaf spots caused by Mycosphaerella tassiana, Alternaria spp., and Dreshcleri sp. have become a threat to date palm's cultivation in recent years. In this study, a field experiment was conducted to find out a suitable chemical spray program to control the disease. A prophylactic spray schedule with mancozeb (Dithane M45), copper oxychloride (Champion), and mancozeb+copper (Trimiltox) effectively controlled the disease when applied at a time when the disease severity index (DSI) was low, ranging from 0 to 1.68. Meanwhile, the disease did not decrease, but instead increased gradually, when the fungicide combination was applied when DSI was high, ranging from 1.78 to 5.37. It was concluded that fungicides should be applied at the early stage or before disease initiation in order to control the disease effectively.

Mariano Fortuny는 독특하고 개별적인 특성을 지닌 채 새로운 창작의상의 세계를 개척하였고, 끊임없는 노력과 열정으로 무구한 텍스타일 디자인의 영역을 개발 발전 시켜 온 20세기를 대표하는 디자이너 이며 예술가다. 그는 사진사, 무대장식가, 화가, 건축가로서의 작품세계를 형성하고 있지만 이에 능가하는 텍스타일 디자이너로써의 영역은 확고하여 디자인의 개별적 특성으로써의 단순성, 창의성, 효율성은 동시대뿐 아니라, 현재에 이르기까지도 클래식한 디자인으로써의 가치가 인정되어 애용 받고 있다. 본 논문의 연구를 통해 그의 작품의 특성이 연구되어 짐으로, 텍스타일 및 소재 개발 뿐아니라 Artwear 가 추구하는 역할에 올바른 방향 제시로써 유용 될 줄 안다. Fortuny was a painter and for inventor who became interested in the possibilities offered by clothes. A mixture of artisan and alchemist, he endlessly exaimed, questioned and developed his theories on painting, photography, stage-lighting, architecture and theatre qualities and functional beauty, and also by Wagner``s contention that art must be a Cathatic experience which should purify and ennoble the spirit. The background for his design was the Greek influence found in the English painter``s the Liberty style, and above all, Art Nouveau. From these he developed the idea of the natural dress, uncorseted, hygienic and allowing the body freedom of movement.. Fortuny actually considered his dress concepts to be invention, and has his ``Delphos dress`` and his method of pleating patented in Paris in 1909. The quality of Fortuny``s work lay in its total individuality. The dyes he used were his special invention, semi-trans-parent so that movement and light would affect the colour. He used silk velvet which was hand-dyed and then hand-printed or stenciled: he also invented and patented his own special way stenciling. Fortuny created the vegetable-based colours, the dyes the blocks and the pattern design which results were very unique. His timeless solution to the problem of clothing was not constraining. His female form has become classic, and his name with achievements which he set up on a his territory of Art to wear would be enduring.

In addition, this paper also aims to enhance the efficiency of the suggested model by realizing the model through support system.
Optical Failure Analysis Technique in Deep Submicron CMOS Integrated Circuits

In this paper, we have proposed a new approach for optical failure analysis which employs a CMOS photon-emitting circuitry, consisting of a flip-flop based on a sense amplifier and a photon-emitting device. This method can be used even with deep-submicron processes where conventional optical failure analyses are difficult to use due to the low sensitivity in the near infrared (NIR) region of the spectrum. The effectiveness of our approach has been proved by the failure analysis of a prototype designed and fabricated in 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process.
전라북도내 서해안 지역의 하천에 서식하는 붕어의 중금속 함량에 관한 연구

본 연구는 전라북도내 서해안 농촌지역 저수지나 강에서 서식하는 붕어의 중금속 함량을 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Hg, Cu의 함량은 동림저수지에서 0.0167ppm, 0.1094ppm으로 가장 낮았고 As의 함량은 지산저수지에서 0.0018ppm, 만경강에서 0.0012ppm으로 검출되었으나 다른 지역에서는 검출되지 않았다. Pb은 탑천강에서 0.3536ppm, Cd은 동림저수지에서 0.1094ppm, Mn은 만경강에서 2.9059ppm, Zn은 동진강에서 14.3096ppm으로 가장 낮았다. 2. Hg, Pb의 함량은 지산저수지에서 0.0407ppm, 0.6593ppm으로 가장 높았고 Cd은 옥구 저수지에서 0.1935ppm, Cu는 탑천강에서 0.3792ppm, Mn은 동림저수지에서 6.9335ppm, Zn은 탑천강에서 48.1615ppm으로 가장 높았다. 3. FAO/WHO의 최대허용량과 비교할때 모두가 훨씬 낮았지만 그 안전성 여부는 다른 식품과 연관시켜 판단되어야 할 문제라고 생각된다. 4. 중금속 함량 측정을 주로 서해안 지역에 위치하고 있는 담수어중 가장 많은 붕어만을 채취하여 측정 하였는데 앞으로는 여러 종류의 담수어와 더불어 계절별로 또 전라남북도 지방과 함께 계속 연구를 하고자 한다. The heavy metal contents in Carassius auratus, that were sampled from Nov. 1 to Nov. 31, 1991 at 6 areas in Joenlabuk-do. The mercury contents was determined by mercury analyzer using the combustion Goldamalgamation method. The arsenic contents were determined by spectrophotometry using silver diethyl ditiho carbamate method. The contents of other heavy metals were determined by inductively coupled plasma spectrometer method. The levels of total mercury, arsenic, cadmium, lead, cupper, manganes, and zinc were determined and the results were summarized as follows: The 6 areas over all range(ppm) were Hg:O. 0167~0.0407, As:N.D.~0.0018, Cd:0.1256~0.1935, Pb:0.3536~0.6593, Cu:0.2094~0.3792, Mn:2. 9059~6.9335, Zn:14.3095~48.1615ppm. Among the seven heavy metals contents, the higest was zinc and the lowest was arsenic. The results show that contents of Hg, As, Cd, Pb, Mn and Zn in Carassius auratus were lower than the FAD/WHD maximum allowance.

I have reviewed some papers on ye. some of these papers introduce us to the mature of oriental and occidental ye, and some raise theoretical issues. In the comparative studies we can find common features and differences. But the common features predominate and the differences can be attributed to peculiarites of the times. In this paper I have tried to characterize ye interms of logic. In addition, I have related ye to christianity, and considered the role of ye in modern society, because Modern world is an industrial one with science and mechanism playing a greater role. In other words, I have examined ye in its religious function and in its role in modern society. Finally, I have characterized ye as a norm in our interpersonal relationship and have found that it is rooted in respect. Thus we respect others' charcter, and profession, we exercise ye.
