비대면 실시간 수업경험에 따른 EFL 대학생의 온라인 T-S 상호작용 및 S-S 상호작용에 대한 인식

The purpose of this study is to explore EFL college students’ perception of teacher-student (T-S) interaction and student-student (S-S) interaction in an online learning environment. There were 195 participants, enrolled in a real-time online General English course, who were divided into two groups. One group took the course for a 15-week semester, while the other took it for two consecutive semesters. A survey was conducted to identify the preferred types of T-S and S-S interaction. A chi-square test was performed to ascertain the differences in preference between the two groups. Open-ended items were used in the survey to explore the reasons behind the preference for a particular type of interaction. The findings revealed that the groups differed significantly regarding their preference for types of T-S interaction, whereas no significant difference was observed with regard to intensive and intimate paired S-S interaction. The more experienced group was successful in creating a collaborative learning atmosphere and exhibited a strong preference for group-based T-S and paired S-S interaction. The study confirmed that a close relationship exists between students’ perception of online T-S interaction and S-S interaction. The study also offers suggestions for teachers to facilitate meaningful and active T-S and S-S interaction in an online learning environment.

하이네의 그림읽기: 시대의 표상으로서의 예술 - 『프랑스 화가들』을 중심으로 -

하이네가 파리 망명 당시 쓴 글 『프랑스 화가들』은 하이네의 미술비평이자 저널리즘적인 글이다. 본고는 이 “묘사와 논쟁과 문화철학이 혼재해 있는 하이네의 하이브리드적인 텍스트”가 ‘상호문화성’과 ‘상호미디어성’의 측면에서 중요한 이유 및 융복합적 사고가 요구되는 현재의 독자들에게 매력적일 수 있는 근거를 분석한다. 우선 하이네의 독창적인 저널리즘적인 예술비평의 특성을 시대배경과 연관 지어 조명해보았다. 이어진 세 개의 그림묘사의 예들에서 시대의 표상으로서의 예술의 특징을 확인했다. 들라크루아의 그림 「민중을 이끄는 자유의 여신」은 혁명의 시대정신의 표상으로, 아리 셰퍼의 「실을 잣는 그레첸」은 독일적 민족성인 ‘사색’을 대표하는 것으로, 호라스 베르네의 「유디트와 홀로페르네스」의 유디트는 프랑스의 민족성인 ‘행동’을 대표하는 것으로 묘사된다. 그러나 그림묘사 속 자유로운 연상, 가상의 대화, 진지함과 농담을 자유로이 오가는 하이네만의 독특한 아이러니는 ‘시대의 분열’을 반영하는 하이네의 독특한 문학적 기법으로써, 구축된 이분법을 자유로이 무너뜨린다. 하이네의 『프랑스 화가들』은 기존의 과소평가와 달리 문학과 시대의 상호적인 작용을 반영하는 창의적인 예술비평이라 할 수 있다. Heinrich Heines Französische Maler (1831) ist eine Art von Bericht und zugleich Kunstkritik, die Heine in seiner Pariser Zeit für das deutsche Publikum geschrieben hat. Dieser Beitrag will zeigen, dass “Heine’s hybrid text - a mixture of description, polemics and cultural philosophy” gerade für heutige Leser von großer Attraktivität im Sinne von Interkulturalität und Intermedialität ist. Heines Kunstkritik, die im Stil eines Feuilleton geschrieben ist, ist das Produkt der veränderten Zeit, in der die klassische Kunstkritik ihre Gültigkeit verloren hat. Die Analyse von drei Bildbeschreibungen beweist es: Die Freiheit führt das Volk von Delacroix wird als Signatur der Zeit gesehen, dann Gretchen am Spinnrad von Ary Scheffer als die Repräsentation Deutschlands und des ‘Gedanken’, dagegen die Judith-Figur in Judith und Holofernes von Horace Vernet als Repräsentation Frankreichs, der Revolution und der ‘Tat’. Heine liest in Gemälden der französischen Maler seine eigene Zeit. Dialoge, freie Assoziationen, Ironie, die zwischen Ernst und Scherz frei schwankt, sind wirkungsvolle Methoden, die ‘Zerrissenheit der Zeit’ zu reflektieren. Heines Text kann ungeachtet der Geringschätzung bisheriger Kunsthistoriker, als eine sehr kreative Kunstkritik gesehen werden, welche die zeitgenössischen Medien aktiv rezipiert und die Wechselwirkung zwischen Literatur und Politik der Zeit reflektiert.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between fetus-related pregnancy stress and temperament, parenting attitude, parent-fetal attachment, and marital quality. Respondents were 285 pregnant women and their spouses who participated in Pregnant Education Programs. Data was collected by means of questionnaire. The results are summarized as follows: The total fetus-related pregnancy stress level of pregnant couples demonstrated a higher relationship while parent-fetal attachment level demonstrated a very significant relationship. There were significant differences between spouses with regard to fetus-related pregnancy stress, parenting attitude, parent-fetal attachment, and marital quality.

PE-108: A Case of Hepatogastric Fistula as a Rare Complication of Pyogenic Liver Abscess

Aims: A cases of hepatogastric fistula secondary to a liver abscess is a rare complication. We present a case of pyogenic liver abscess which was complicated with the development of a hepatogastric fistula and it was managed with surgical excision. Methods Results: A 88-year-old woman presented with generalized weakness and fever for 3 days. The laboratory tests revealed a white blood cell (WBC) count of 11,380/μL and C-reactive protein level of 24.37mg/dL. A computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen showed 5cm sized lobulated hypodense lesion with internal septa and marginal enhancement in the left lateral segment of the liver. The appearance was suspicious of an early liver abscess but coexistence of cholangiocarcinoma cannot be ruled out. An ultrasonography-guided aspiration and biopsy was performed after 9 days of hospitalization. the microscopic examination showed no malignant cells and the pus culture revealed Klebsiella pneumonia. Gadoxetate-disodium-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging was performed for follow up. The anterior wall of the stomach was found in close proximity to the liver abscess but the communication between gastric lumen and liver was not evident. The mature appearance compared to initial CT scan, ultrasonography-guided percutaneous drainage of liver abscess was performed. contrast media injected through the drain appeared fistulous tract between liver and stomach. Resection of involved portion of the stomach and the liver was done and 2 weeks after surgery patients was discharged. Conclusions: In our case, drainage procedure was deferred due to initial immature feature of abscess cavity, but it resulted in spontaneous fistulization into the stomach. This implies that proper drainage of pyogenic liver abscess is advised to prevent a spontaneous abscess rupture or fistularization into the adjacent structures.

Through the voices of male teachers in South Korea: The journey to becoming an early childhood teacher

This study examined male teachers’ identities and experiences as early childhood teachers in South Korea. Three South Korean participants, Donghun, Gijun, and Minsu (pseudonyms) were purposefully selected and engaged in individual semi- structured interviews lasting about an hour and a half. Findings in this study indicated that entering into the female-dominated profession of early childhood education is an uneasily constrained and cultural process for them. They were estranged from the people around them, including family, as soon as they committed to becoming early childhood teachers. They also faced challenges in their new profession in developing relationships with adults such as peer teachers and parents, as well as with their students. Frequently, they experienced the social expectation of early childhood education as “women’s work.” This study showed that the self-making of male early childhood teachers in South Korea is both internalized and externalized as a dialectic identity in a cultural context.

A New Scheme for SCTP Primary Path Switching based on Throughput Estimation

This paper proposes a new scheme for the primary path switching of the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) based on the throughput estimation. The SCTP supports the multihoming feature that enables an SCTP host to use more than one IP addresses and select the path to transport the data packets among more than one path. This paper suggests a new mechanism to determine when to switch the primary path.

Bayesian pattern mixture model under nonignorable nonresponse for binary data

We consider a Bayesian pattern mixture model to estimate the proportion of the finite population with missing data. The pattern mixture approach is a way to model missing data. We describe the Bayesian model considering two cases for the parameter of a prior distribution. To fit the model, we use Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. We use the Gibbs sampler with grid method to get the samples of the parameters. We use the National Crime Survey data summarized by Stasny (1991) to estimate the proportion of the finite population. When considering two cases of the parameter of a prior distribution, we saw that the inference for the parameter was not sensitive in our proposed model.
