        교원능력개발평가 결과활용 ‘맞춤형교원연수’의 성과 분석 : ‘능력향상연수’ 대상자의 ‘재심의’ 비율 분석을 중심으로

        이 연구에서는 교원능력개발평가제가 그 평가결과를 활용한 맞춤형연수를 통해 제도의 성과를 달성하고 있는지를 진단할 목적으로, 교원능력개발평가 결과를 활용한 연수의 성과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 실제 교원능력개발평가 결과를 활용한 ‘맞춤형연수’의 실태 자료를 활용하여, ‘능력향상연수’ 대상자의 연도별 변화에 대한 추이 분석과 ‘재심의’ 비율 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 연도별 ‘능력향상연수’ 심의 대상자 및 지명자 수의 감소 추이를 확인하고, ‘능력향상연수’ 대상자의 연수 참여 이후 재심의 대상 선정 비율이 감소하는 결과를 확인함으로써, 교원능력개발평가 실시 및 ‘능력향상연수’의 시행을 계기로 기존에 교원능력개발평가에서 낮은 성과를 보였던 교사들이 교원 전문성 신장을 위한 노력을 기울여 결과적으로 교사들의 전문성 제고 성과로 이어진 것으로 추정할 수 있었다. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the customized teacher job training system related to the results of the teacher capability development evaluation(TCDE). For this, the study, using the data of local ministries of education on the results of the TCDE. And this study analyzed the changes of teachers, who were supposed to have 'the job training for improving teachers' capability' which was imposed to them with low evaluation according to the TCDE. The study also examined whether the portion of teachers, who had got the job training were again designated to have the training, was decreased or not. Findings showed a decreasing trend of the numbers of teachers supposed to have 'the job training for the improvement of teachers' capability' and to again have the job training. These findings implied the positive effects of the customized teacher job training system on teachers' professionalism.

        명문대 중심 대입관과 사교육비 지출간의 관계 분석

        본 연구는 사교육 참여와 관련된 사회심리적 요인들에 보다 착안하여 한국 학생들의 사교육 참여의 원인을 조명하려고 하였다. 먼저 사교육 수요의 원인으로서 그 동안 지적되어 온 학교교육의 질과 학생성적과 같은 요인이 실제로 사교육비 지출에 어느 정도 영향을 미치는지 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였고, 무엇보다 한국인의 "교육열"과 관련된 사회심리적 요인이 어떤 식으로 사교육 수요에 영향을 미치고 있는지 분석해 보고자 하였다. 연구결과는 사교육 참여의 원인이 공교육의 질이나 학생성적과 같은 문제에 관련되어 있기 보다는, 한국 사회의 사회·문화적 특성과 관련된 독특한 사회심리적 요인인 "명문대 중심 대입관"에 보다 더 관련되어 있음을 보여 주었다. This study reexamines Lee’s (2006) study, using an analysis of Hierarchical Linear Model, to explore how structurally key family, student, and cultural background factors influence parent expenditure on shadow education, focusing on the impact of sociopsychological factor. Of key importance, this study highlights how prestige orientation shapes students’ uses of shadow education with affected by the other factors such as family and student backgrounds. Data were drawn from the 2004 Korean Education and Employment Panel. Regression analyses were conducted to measure the impact of prestige orientation on parent expenditure while controlling for other salient variables such as parent income and education, students’ prior grades, school quality, and school urbanicity. Findings show that prestige orientation than any other modeled variable has more significant and substantive effect on the use of shadow education, affected by family background. Though policies have targeted the problems like low school quality, this study suggests that the roots of shadow education lie much deeper within South Korean culture. The results of this study, therefore, indicates the difficulty faced by South Korean policy makers attempting to mitigate the demand for private tutoring. It recommends that South Korean policy makers approach shadow education matter from the more comprehensive and long-term perspective, instead of focusing on the short-term countermeasures to mitigate the demand for shadow education. More viable policies may be those aimed at offering competitive public alternatives to private tutoring. The study may also offer insight about how to meet theoretical and practical challenges to formal schooling caused by the growth of shadow education over the world.

        白居易 哀悼詩 小考 ― ‘隨感遇’와 ‘直’에 따른 直說的인 말하기 방식을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the poetic expression of the Elegy(aidaoshi) of Bai Ju Yi, based on ‘suiganyu(隨感遇)’ and ‘zhi(直)’, which means straightforward expression. The expression mode of Elegy can be categorized in three phases. The first phase is the emphasis on narrativity. After the An-Shi rebellion in China occurred in the year 756, the literary environment has drastically changed. Poets were trying to express their emotion by narrativity, Bai Ju Yi was a key figure in this trend. He was trying to describe his emotion in step with passing time. He also constructed certain type of completed story-telling, which is not common in the traditional lyric poetry. The second phase is to express their straightforward feelings. His elegy poems were trying to avoid formal style and to express straight feeling in plain words. Logical disorder in his poems is due to straightforward feeling expression. The third phase is to express ego-oriented emotions. It is also a mode of emotion expression. This expression emphasizes there own sorrow feelings caused by the dead. In conclusion, these three phases have different rhetorical techniques, which are not familiar with the classical literature. Accordingly, this research gives a chance to re-evaluate Bai Ju Yi’s literary works.

      • A facile synthetic route for well defined multilayer films of graphene and PEDOT <i>via</i> an electrochemical method

        <P>Thin multilayer graphene/PEDOT films were prepared by electrochemical deposition. PEDOT was deposited on gold electrodes by cyclic voltammetry, and p-doped graphene, which was synthesised from expanded and p-doped graphite, was assembled on the PEDOT-coated electrode by chronoamperometry at −1 V. The process was repeated as necessary to obtain the desired number of multilayers. Successful deposition of graphene/PEDOT layers was demonstrated by SEM. The maximum specific capacitance of the multilayer film was 154 F g<SUP>−1</SUP> for six graphene layers. Further, the multilayer film exhibited improved electrochemical stability with a retention life of 86% after 1000 cycles.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>The graphene and PEDOT layers were electrodeposited alternately.       • Geometry-Controllable Graphene Layers and Their Application for Supercapacitors

        <P>A facile and ultrafast method for geometry controllable and vertically transformative 3D graphene architectures is demonstrated. The 2D stacked graphene layers produced by exfoliation of graphite were transformed, e.g., from horizontal to vertical, by applying electric charge (-2 V with 1-3 μAh/cm2). The three-dimensionally transformed graphene layers have maximized surface area as well as high specific capacitance, 410 F g(-1) in LiClO4/PC electrolyte, which is 4.4 times higher than that of planar (stacked) graphene layers. Furthermore, they can remarkably exhibit 87% of retained capacitance as the scan rate is increased from 100 to 1000 mV s(-1), unlike planar graphene, which displays 61% retention under the same conditions.</P>

        Relationship among education fever, the college-admission policy, and shadow education in South Korea

        The purpose of this study is to examine whether the changes of the ‘college admission policy’ have affected students’ use of ‘shadow education.’ Additionally, the study seeks to examine the relationship between ‘education fever’ in Korea and the policy of college admission system. Data for this study were drawn from a 2004 cohort (1st-9th waves) of the Korean Education and Employment Panel (KEEP). The subjects for this study were middle-school seniors (9th graders) in 2004, high-school seniors (12th graders) in 2007 when the additional panel data of ‘special-purpose high school students’ are added, and first-year college students in 2008 when the data about the college-admissions system that the students chose are added. A weighted ordinary least squares (OLS) regression was used to estimate both the collective and the relative effects of each of the variable sets, family background, student characteristics, school characteristics and quality, education fever, and type of college-admission system on students’ uses of shadow education in South Korea. The findings show that the variable reflecting diverse college admissions policies in itself scarcely influences shadow education expenditures. Instead, some significant positive impacts of ‘education fever’ variables like ‘self-study’, ‘levels of education desired’, and especially, ‘prestige-oriented college choice’ on shadow education were found. The results imply that, without considering ‘education fever’, any policy efforts, such as changes of the national college admission system, might not be successful in reducing Korean students’ use of shadow education.

        KINEMATIC OSCILLATIONS OF POST-CME BLOBS DETECTED BY K-COR ON 2017 SEPTEMBER 10

        We investigate 20 post-coronal mass ejection (CME) blobs formed in the post-CME current sheet (CS) that were observed by K-Cor on 2017 September 10. By visual inspection of the trajectories and projected speed variations of each blob, we find that all blobs except one show irregular "zigzag" trajectories resembling transverse oscillatory motions along the CS, and have at least one oscillatory pattern in their instantaneous radial speeds. Their oscillation periods are ranging from 30 to 91 s and their speed amplitudes from 128 to 902 km s-1. Among 19 blobs, 10 blobs have experienced at least two cycles of radial speed oscillations with different speed amplitudes and periods, while 9 blobs undergo one oscillation cycle. To examine whether or not the apparent speed oscillations can be explained by vortex shedding, we estimate the quantitative parameter of vortex shedding, the Strouhal number, by using the observed lateral widths, linear speeds, and oscillation periods of the blobs. We then compare our estimates with theoretical and experimental results from MHD simulations and fluid dynamic experiments. We find that the observed Strouhal numbers range from 0.2 to 2.1, consistent with those (0.15-3.0) from fluid dynamic experiments of bluff spheres, while they are higher than those (0.15-0.25) from MHD simulations of cylindrical shapes. We thus find that blobs formed in a post-CME CS undergo kinematic oscillations caused by fluid dynamic vortex shedding. The vortex shedding is driven by the interaction of the outward-moving blob having a bluff spherical shape with the background plasma in the post-CME CS.

        A Rare Case of Brain Abscess Caused by Aggregatibacter aphrophilus and Actinomyces georgiae in an Immunocompetent Child

        뇌농양은 생명을 위협할 수 있는 심각한 중추신경계 감염으로 특히 소아에서는 증상이 모호하여 시의적절한 진단이 이루어지지 않는 경우가 종종 발생한다. 저자들은 면역력이 정상인 소아에서 드문 병원체에 의한 중추신경계 감염을 진단 및 치료하여 보고하는 바이다. 7년 전 심방중격결손을 진단받았고, 1달 전부터 충치 치료를 받은 과거력이 있는 10세 여아가 10일 전 발생한 두통을 주소로 입원하였다. 뇌자기공명영상에서 4.2 cm 크기의 뇌농양이 오른쪽 두정엽에서 발견되어 두개골절개술과 농양 흡인을 시행하였다. 흡인된 농과 조직에서 Aggregatibacter aphrophilus가 배양되었고, 16S rRNA sequencing에서 Actinomyces georgiae가 확인되어 ampicillin-sulbactam을 8주간 투여하였다. 수술 및 항균요법으로 환자의 증상이 호전되었고, 추적한 뇌자기공명영상에서 농양과 부종도 호전되어 치료를 종료하였다 A brain abscess is a potentially life-threatening infection of the brain that can be challenging to diagnose, especially in children. In this report, we describe a case of a central nervous system infection caused by rare pathogens in an immunocompetent child. A 10-year-old female presented with a severe headache lasting 10 days, along with flashing lights, nausea, and vomiting. The patient was diagnosed with secundum atrial septal defect 7 years ago and underwent dental work for cavities one month prior to admission. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a 4.2 cm sized brain abscess in the right parietal lobe, causing left inferior quadrantanopia. A craniotomy and abscess aspiration surgery were performed, and cultures from the aspirated pus and tissue revealed Aggregatibacter aphrophilus. Additionally, Actinomyces georgiae was identified through 16S rRNA sequencing. After 8 weeks of antimicrobial therapy with ampicillin-sulbactam, the patient was discharged without any complications. A follow-up brain MRI showed complete resolution of the abscess and edema
