      • 어육장의 지방산과 아미노산의 함량에 관한 연구

        메주, 쇠고기, 해물 등을 혼합하여 규합총서의 방법으로 만들어진 된장과 간장을 어육장이라 한다. 어육장의구성분을 조사하기 위하여 어육장의 일반성분과 지방산, 그리고 아미노산를 분석하였다. 그 결과 어육장의 간장과 된장에는 곡류의 섭취로 인해 보족되기 쉬운 함황 아미노산과 lysine 이 많이 함유되 있었고, 필수지방산도 많았다. Soy sauce and soybean paste made by GUH HAP CHUNG SEU method with MEJU supplemented beef and fishes were called O YUK CHANG. To study constituents of O YUK CHANG, the author analysed general ingredient, ftty acids, and amino acids of O YUK CHANG that stored for one year. The results of O YUK CHANG analysis were summarized as follows. 1.The crude protein contents of soy sauce and soybean paste were 4.1% and 12.2%, and tye crude fat contents were 0.02%and 9.7%. 2. The calcium contents of soy sauce and soybean paste were 35.6mg and 109.1mg, iron 0.6mg and 2.3mg, posphorus 41.3mg and 101.4mg, kalium 298.2mg and 185.3mg, and magnesium 153.6mg and 90.5mg. 3. The contents of essential fatty acids, linoleic acid in soy sauce and soybean paste were 36.9% and 43.6%, and linolenic acid 6.7% and 7.9%. 4.The contents of essential amino acids, valine in soy sauce and soybean paste were 5.21% and 6.84%, methionine 2.53% and 3.33%, histidine 3.39% and 2.53%, cysteine 1.41% and 2.06%, isoleucine 4.54% and 5.46%, threonine 5.34% and 4.48%, leucine 6.28% and 8.86%, lysine 11.09% and 7.16%. According as this resutls, the O YUK CHANG contains plenty of essential fatty acids and amino acids, especially sulfur containing amino acid and lysine that are apt to lack owing to ingest much cereals. I think, therfore O YUK CHANG will contribute to elevate nutrition value and delicious flavor.

        시설노인의 자아존중감과 우울

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify levels of self-esteem and depression in the elders who are residents in welfare facilities and to provide basic data for developing nursing intervention programs for these people. Methods: The participants in this study were 192 older people who scored 24 or higher on the K-MMSE (Korean-Mini Mental State Examination), and have lived for three months or more in one of 4 institutions located in B Metropolitan City. The data were collected by structured questionnaire from August 1 to 20 2006 and frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data with the SPSS/12.0 program. Results: 1. The score for self-esteem of the participants was 33.70± 7.20 (tool range: 10-50), and for depression, 6.57±3.98 (tool range: 0-15). 2. There was a slightly negative correlation between self-esteem and depression (r=-.388, p=.000). 3. There were significant differences in self-esteem according to education level (F=4.486, p= .012), and level of intention to be admitted to facility (F=7.504, p=-.000). 4. There was significant difference in depression according to education level (F=3.832, p=.023), type of religion (F=3.837, p= .005), level of intention to be admitted to facility (F=7.987, p=.000). Conclusion: This study might help in developing nursing intervention programs to improve self-esteem and reduce depression these elders.

        An improved design of inserted tooth finishing hob for involute gears

        Gear hobs are widely used to machine involute gears. However, using Archimedes worm as a base worm of the gear hob, which iscommon used in industry, leads to the generating of theoretical error of the gears. Even though this error can be eliminated by using theaccurate involute base worm or be greatly reduced by complicated modification of the shape of cutting edges, the manufacturing cost isvery high. Reported in this paper is an improved design of inserted tooth finishing hob for involute gears on a conventional hobbing machineaiming to eliminate this error in an economical way. For that purpose, both descriptive-geometry-based method and mathematicalanalyzing are employed to illustrate the major parameters of the base worm and the formation and parameters of the inserted tooth finishinghob. In addition, an approximating formation of the flank for the convenience of grinding the inserted tooth finishing hob is proposedand the errors that this substitution arc surface is discussed. Ultimately, the other advantages of this inserted finishing hob are demonstrated.

        Stabilization of Discrete-Time Networked Control Systems with Partly Known Transmission Delay: A New Augmentation Approach

        This paper is concerned with the stabilization problem of discrete-time networked control systems with partly known transmission delay. Considering the random property of the networked-induced delay, the original system is transformed into a new delay model with stochastic parameter matrices by introducing a novel state augmentation technique. Based on the new model, a new delay-distribution-dependent criterion for the mean square stability of the closed-loop system is derived by using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and linear matrix inequality technique. The solvability of the derived criterion depends on not only the size of the delay, but also the probability distribution of the delay taking value in a finite set. Finally, two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

      • Continuous-Current Mode Operation of a Semi-Dual-Bridge Resonant Converter

        Originated from the dual-bridge resonant converter, a semi-dual-bridge resonant converter is proposed for unidirectional applications in this paper. The single phase-shift modulation is adopted for power regulation. It is proved that the proposed converter is capable to work in either continuous-current mode or discontinuous-current mode. Compared with the dual-bridge resonant converter with single phase-shift modulation, the high circulation energy in output bridge is eliminated and the zero-voltage switching range of all switches is extended in the proposed converter. Steady-state analysis of the converter in continuous-current mode is performed using fundamental harmonics approximation. A design example based on the analysis results is presented and then verified through both simulation and experimental test on a lab prototype converter.

        QTL Analysis of Floral Traits of Rice (Oryza Sativa L.) under Well-Watered and Drought Stress Conditions

        Three floral traits, spikelet number per panicle (SNP), percentage of single exserted stigma (PSES) and dual exserted stigma (PDES) of a RI population with 185 lines under water stress and non-stress conditions for two years were investigated in a drought tolerance screening facility. ANOVA results showed high significance between years, lines, and water stress treatments, together with interactions among them in pairs. High phenotypic correlation was found between PSES and PDES (r=0.5424***). Based on a linkage map of 203 SSR markers, when under well-watered condition, six QTLs (qSNP-3b, qSNP-4, qSNP-11 qSNP-2, qSNP-5 and qSNP-9) were detected for SNP. Half of them had significant Q×E interactions. Three QTLs (qPSES-1, qPSES-2, qPSES-5) were found to influence PSES, including one locus (qPSES-2) having Q×E interaction. And three QTLs (qPDES-2, qPDES-5 and qPDES-8) were also detected to influence PDES. qPDES-5 was found to have Q×E interaction. The contribution rate of a single QTL varied from 0.80% to 8.83% for additive effect, and 1.86% to 15.25% for Q×E interactions. Under drought stress, six QTLs (qSNP-3a, qSNP-4, qSNP-7a, qSNP-7b, qSNP-8 and qSNP-9) were associated with SNP, including qSNP-3a and qSNP-4 with Q×E interaction. Three QTLs (qPSES-1, qPSES-10 and qPSES-12) were located on rice chromosome 1, 10 and 12 for PSES. Four QTLs (qPDES-1a, qPDES-1b, qPDES-4 and qPDES-9) were detected for PDES, including qPDES-9 with Q×E interaction. The additive effect of single QTL can only explain 1.16% to 5.84% of total variance while Q×E interaction of four loci can explain 4.25% to 11.54% of total variance for each locus. There were one to nine pairs of epistatic QTLs influencing SNP and stigma exsertion. The contribution rates of additive and epistatic effects seemed to be in a low magnitude for most cases (0.76%~9.92%) while a few QTLs or QTL pairs explained more than 10% of total variance. Some main effect QTL and epistasis were commonly detected among PSES and PDES, explaining the high positive correlation between them. Few QTLs were detected under both water stress and non-stress conditions, indicating that drought had severe impact on the genetic behaviors of both spikelet number and stigma exsertion.

        Theoretical analysis of simply supported channel girder bridges

        Channel girder bridges that consist of a deck slab and two side beams are good choices for railway bridges and urban rail transit bridges when the vertical clearance beneath the bridge is restricted. In this study, the behavior of simply supported channel girder bridges was theoretical studied based on the theory of elasticity. The accuracy of the theoretical solutions was verified by the finite element analysis. The global bending of the channel girder and the local bending of the deck slab are two contributors to the deformations and stresses of the channel girder. Because of the shear lag effect, the maximum deflection due to the global bending could be amplified by 1.0 to 1.2 times, and the effective width of the deck slab for determining the global bending stresses can be as small as 0.7 of the actual width depending on the width-tospan ratio of the channel girder. The maximum deflection and transversal stress due to the local bending are obtained at the girder ends. For the channel girders with open section side beams, the side beam twist has a negligible effect on the deflections and stresses of the channel girder. Simplified equations were also developed for calculating the maximum deformations and stresses.

        YHB216 의 비글개에서 정맥내 단회 및 4 주 반복투여독성시험

        N/A Recently, recombinant human erythropoietin (rHu-EPO) has been used to treat various types of anemia. YHB216 is a new rHu-EPO developed by Yuhan Research Institute. In this study, we investigated the single dose and 4-week repeated dose toxicity of YHB216 in Beagle dogs. In the single dose toxicity study, YHB216 was administered intravenously at single dose levels of 0 and 25,000 IU/㎏ to dogs (2 dogs/sex/ group). There were no treatment-related changes in survivals, clinical signs, body weight gain, hematological values, blood chemical values, and necropsy finding during experimental period. In the repeated dose toxicity study, YHB216 was administered intravenously to dogs for 4 weeks at the dose levels of 0, 100, 500, and 2,500 IU/㎏ (3 dogs/sex/group). There were no toxicologically significant changes in clinical signs, body weights, food and water consumptions, ophthalmoscopy, urinalysis and blood chemistry. There were increased values of red blood cell, hemoglobin, and hematocrit at all treated groups. Spleen revealed increased weight and extramedullary hematopoiesis at 500 IU/㎏ or more. These changes are all considered to be pharmacology-related effects and were recovered after 4-week recovery period. From these results, it is concluded that LD_50 value was above 25,000 IU/㎏ in the single dose toxicity study of YHB216 in dogs and the no observed adverse effect level (NOAEL) was 100 IU/㎏/day in the repeated dose toxicity study of YHB216 in dogs.

        Colonic Hypersensitivity and Sensitization of Voltage-gated Sodium Channels in Primary Sensory Neurons in Rats with Diabetes

        Background/Aims Patients with long-standing diabetes often demonstrate intestinal dysfunction and abdominal pain. However, the pathophysiology of abdominal pain in diabetic patients remains elusive. The purpose of study was to determine roles of voltage-gated sodium channels in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) in colonic hypersensitivity of rats with diabetes. Methods Diabetic models were induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ; 65 mg/kg) in adult female rats, while the control rats received citrate buffer only. Behavioral responses to colorectal distention were used to determine colonic sensitivity in rats. Colon projection DRG neurons labeled with DiI were acutely dissociated for measuring excitability and sodium channel currents by whole-cell patch clamp recordings. Western blot analysis was employed to measure the expression of NaV1.7 and NaV1.8 of colon DRGs. Results STZ injection produced a significantly lower distention threshold than control rats in responding to colorectal distention. STZ injection also depolarized the resting membrane potentials, hyperpolarized action potential threshold, decreased rheobase and increased frequency of action potentials evoked by 2 and 3 times rheobase and ramp current stimulation. Furthermore, STZ injection enhanced neuronal sodium current densities of DRG neurons innervating the colon. STZ injection also led to a significant upregulation of NaV1.7 and NaV1.8 expression in colon DRGs compared with age and sex-matched control rats. Conclusions Our results suggest that enhanced neuronal excitability following STZ injection, which may be mediated by upregulation of NaV1.7 and NaV1.8 expression in DRGs, may play an important role in colonic hypersensitivity in rats with diabetes.
