<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The off-site prefabrication construction method offers several advantages that have positioned it as a good alternative to the conventional method. Recently in South Korea, a form-latticed prefabricated steel reinforced concrete (Form-LPSRC) column was invented as substitute for a conventional steel reinforced concrete (SRC) column. This study evaluates the productivity, cost, and CO2 emission of Form-LPSRC column with those of SRC column through a case study. Two factory projects utilizing same-size Form-LPSRC and SRC columns are studied. In addition, Web-CYCLONE simulation and equation-based methods are utilized to calculate the productivity, cost, and CO2 emission of the two column methods. In particular, Web-CYCLONE simulation is used for considering the idle time during the construction process. The Form-LPSRC column improved productivity by 42.5% and provided costs savings of 1.32% compared with the SRC column. Thus, the Form-LPSRC column is excellent for projects where construction duration and cost are of utmost importance. However, the CO2 emission of the Form-LPSRC column is 72.18% higher than that of the SRC column.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Form-LPSRC column was invented as substitute for a conventional SRC column. </LI> <LI> This study evaluated two methods in terms of productivity, cost, and CO2 emission. </LI> <LI> Web-CYCLONE simulation and equation-based methods were utilized for case study. </LI> <LI> Form-LPSRC column improved productivity by 42.5% and saved costs of 1.32%. </LI> <LI> CO2 emission of Form-LPSRC column is 72.18% higher than that of SRC column. </LI> </UL> </P>

<P>Ionic liquids (ILs) are often considered to be green solvents based on their unusual stability, although their toxicity to living organisms has become an emerging issue based on a number of recent studies. We assume that one of the main reasons for this high level of cell toxicity is the molecular interactions between ILs and cell membranes. In this study, we used model cells to demonstrate that ILs can incorporate into lipid membranes, resulting in the perturbation of membrane structure. We employed various methods to elucidate the molecular interactions between cell membranes and ILs. Our results demonstrate that the stability of cell membranes is inversely related to the alkyl chain length and concentration of ILs, providing important information for the design of greener and safer ILs.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>The stability of cell membranes is inversely related to the alkyl chain length and concentration of ILs, providing important information for the design of greener and safer ILs. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c2sm25223f'> </P>

<P>The electron transport layer (ETL) is a key component of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and must provide efficient electron extraction and collection while minimizing the charge recombination at interfaces in order to ensure high performance. Conventional bilayered TiO2 ETLs fabricated by depositing compact TiO2 (c-TiO2) and mesoporous TiO2 (mp-TiO2) in sequence exhibit resistive losses due to the contact resistance at the c-TiO2/mp-TiO2 interface and the series resistance arising from the intrinsically low conductivity TiO2 of TiO2. Herein, to minimize such resistive losses, we developed a novel ETL consisting of an ultrathin c-TiO2 layer hybridized with mp-TiO2, which is fabricated by performing one-step spin-coating of a mp-TiO2 solution containing a small amount of titanium diisopropoxide bis(acetylacetonate) (TAA). By using electron microscopies and elemental mapping analysis, we establish that the optimal concentration of TAA produces an ultrathin blocking layer with a thickness of similar to 3 nm and ensures that the mp-TiO2 layer has a suitable porosity for efficient perovskite infiltration. We compare PSCs based on mesoscopic ETLs with and without compact layers to determine the role of the hole-blocking layer in their performances. The hybrid ETLs exhibit enhanced electron extraction and reduced charge recombination, resulting in better photovoltaic performances and reduced hysteresis of PSCs compared to those with conventional bilayered ETLs.</P>

The Korean record of Scolytoplatypus mikado Blandford 1893 is originated from Murayama (1929) whereas Wood(1989) synonimyzed S. sinensis Tsai & Huang 1965 as a junior synonym of S. mikado Blandford 1893. In 2010, the authors collected several specimens from Korea and Japan and found considerable morphological differences between S. sinensis and S. mikad the process on the prosternum, the pubescences on the procoxae, and the shape of the male elytral declivity. Comparing the Cytochrome Oxidase I and 16S rRNA gene, we also found the genetical gap between the South Korean specimens (= S. sinensis, with the Japanese sample from Mt. Tsukubasan) and the sample from Mt. Yamizosan, Japan (= S. mikado). Accordingly, S. sinensis Tsai & Huang 1965 is here reinstated.

Up to now, 39 species of the family Anthribidae have been recorded from Korea. As a result of this study, we add two genus and four species of the family Anthribidae to the Korean fauna with brief descriptions and illustrations of diagnostic characters. The newly recorded genus Citacalus in the subfamily Choraginae, is very similar to the genus Choragus. Citacalus pygidialis Johraku has an unique character, pygidium strongly convex longitudinally sharply carinate on the apical half in male; in female, pygidium triangularly projecting laterally near the apex. The newly recorded species Euparius modicus yaeyamanus Morimoto in the genus Euparius of the subfamily Anthribinae, can be distinguished from the other two recorded species by the elytra with almost unicolor pubescence color except a pair of black spots behind middle. The newly recorded genus Unciferina is close to Uncifer Jordan, but easily distinguished from the latter by sharply angulate rostrum to head, transversely carinate base of rostrum on the underside, and the acute hind angles of pronotum. The two new species in the genus Unciferina are easily distinguished from the congeneric species with pubescence patches on pronotum and elytra, shape of eye, the ratio of the antennal segments and the shape of the hind angles of pronotum.
