본 연구에서는 자기조직화 신경망이 필요한 노드만을 가지고 최적화하여 정규혼합분포를 추정하는 모형(Ahn과 Kim, 2011)을 Java언어에서 제공하는 스레드(thread)를 기반으로, 멀티코어 컴퓨팅환경에서 병렬처리방식으로 구현하여 순차처리방식에 비해 짧은 연산시간으로 정규혼합모형의 추정이 가능함을 보이려고 한다. 이를 위하여 Ahn과 Kim이 제안한 모형을 바탕으로 두 가지의 병렬처리 방법을 제안하고 그 성능을 평가하였다. 병렬처리 방법은 Java의 멀티스레드를 이용하여 구현되었으며, 모의실험을 통하여 제안한 모형이 순차처리방식과 비교하여 수렴속도가 빠름을 확인하였다. This article proposes a couple of parallel implementations of the self-organizing network for normal mixtures. In principle, self-organizing networks should be able to be implemented in a parallel computing environment without issue. However, the network for normal mixtures has inherent problem in being operated parallel in pure sense due to estimating conditional expectations of the mixing proportion in each iteration. This article shows the result of the parallel implementations of the network using Java. According to the results, both of the implementations achieved a faster execution without any performance degradation.
요통(腰痛) 환자에 대한 침치료(針治療)와 직접구(直接灸) 병행치료(竝行治療)에 대한 비교(比較) 연구(硏究)

Objective : The purpose of this report is to examine the effects of direct moxibustion in the Low back pain patient. Methods : Clinical studies were done 30 patients who were treated with low back pain to Dept. of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, of Oriental Medical Sang-Ji University from September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2004. We treated them by Oriental medical therapy(including direct moxibustion)for 10 days. The evaluation was performed five times(admission day, before and after each twice). Results : 1. VAS was decreased after direct moxibustion for 10 days significantly(p<0.01). 2. After direct moxibustion, S.L.R. T angle of patients were increased. ConclUsions : We brought to the conclusion that direct moxibustion has possibility to the efficient to cure the Low back pain. So we suggest the possibility to use this treatment for Low back pain.

Objective : This study was done to evaluate the correlation between carpal tunnel pressure (CTP), electrodiagnostic and ultrasonographic findings in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Methods : CTP was measured during endoscopic carpal tunnel release (ECTR) for CTS using Spiegelberg ICP monitoring device with parenchymal type catheter. Neurophysiologic severity and nerve cross sectional area were evaluated using nerve conductive study and ultrasonography (USG) before ECTR in all patients. Results : Tests were performed in a total of 48 wrists in 39 patients (9 cases bilateral). Maximum CTP was $56.7{\pm}19.3$ mmHg ($Mean{\pm}SD$) and $7.4{\pm}3.3$ mmHg before and after ECTR, respectively. No correlation was found between maximum CTP and either neurophysiologic severity or nerve cross sectional area, whereas we found a significant correlation between the latter two parameters. Conclusion : CTP was not correlated with neurophysiologic severity and nerve cross sectional area. Dynamic, rather than static, pressure in carpal tunnel might account for the basic pathophysiology of CTS better.
Subjective Timbre Space of 45 Modified Violin Tones

In this paper we studied the reduced subjective timbre space of time-varying tones as well as steady state tones. 45 modified test tones were constructed from the original violin tone in consideration of 4 physical factors: spectrum envelope, inharmonicity, time-varying spectrum and time reversal. The semantic differential (SD) method was used in the listening test. According to the factor analysis, the adjectives can be factorized into 4 groups. The first factor is characterized by the adjectives, 'free', 'broad', 'deep', 'rich', 'strong' and 'reverberant', the second by 'tenor', 'clear', 'bright', 'light' and 'sharp', the third by 'easy', 'smooth', and 'solid', the fourth by 'warm' and 'full'. The first factor, 'richness', seems to be dependent upon the time-varying characteristic of a tone. The second factor, 'sharpness', is shown to play an important role in a time-varying tone as well as in a steady state tone.

The symbiotic nature of the relationship between algae and marine bacteria is well-studied among the complex microbial interactions. The mutual profit between algae and bacteria occurs via nutrient and vitamin exchange. It is necessary to analyze the genome sequence of a bacterium to predict its symbiotic relationships. In this study, the genome of a marine bacterium, Pseudoruegeria sp. M32A2M, isolated from the south-eastern isles (GeoJe-Do) of South Korea, was sequenced and analyzed. A draft genome (91 scaffolds) of 5.5 Mb with a DNA G+C content of 62.4% was obtained. In total, 5,101 features were identified from gene annotation, and 4,927 genes were assigned to functional proteins. We also identified transcription core proteins, RNA polymerase subunits, and sigma factors. In addition, full flagella-related gene clusters involving the flagellar body, motor, regulator, and other accessory compartments were detected even though the genus Pseudoruegeria is known to comprise non-motile bacteria. Examination of annotated KEGG pathways revealed that Pseudoruegeria sp. M32A2M has the metabolic pathways for all seven vitamin Bs, including thiamin (vitamin B1), biotin (vitamin B7), and cobalamin (vitamin B12), which are necessary for symbiosis with vitamin B auxotroph algae. We also identified gene clusters for seven secondary metabolites including ectoine, homoserine lactone, beta-lactone, terpene, lasso peptide, bacteriocin, and nonribosomal proteins.
Right Dislocation vs. Fragment: A Reply to Ko (2014)

Ahn & Cho (2005) proposes that some fragmentary utterances in Korean are derived from the full sentential structure via movement and deletion. Right dislocation (RD) in Korean can be analyzed in a similar way to fragments. D. Chung (2009), Kim & Hong (2013), and Ahn & Cho (2014) suggest that RD in Korean has bi-clausal structure (host clause plus appendix clause) and that an RDed phrase undergoes movement to a clause initial position in appendix clause and the rest of the clause undergoes deletion. This type of analysis accounts for the fact that RDed elements and fragments share core properties (cf. D. Chung 2009, 2012a, Kim & Hong 2013). Ko (2014), however, examines the question of whether the RDed elements can be treated in the same way as sentence fragments and argues that RDed elements significantly differ from fragments. This paper aims to defend the parallelism between RDed elements and fragments by reconsidering the data Ko (2014) discusses.
Evaluation on structural behaviors of prestressed composite beams using external prestressing member

In this study, experimental, numerical, and analytical approaches were carried out to evaluate the behavior and prestressing effect of prestressed composite beam by external tendon and cover plate. Behavior of prestressed composite beam, load-carrying capacity, effects of prestressing, and ultimate strength were estimated. The contribution of the section increase of the prestressing method using tendon was less than the prestressing method using cover plate. In accordance with numerical and analytical approaches, the ultimate strength of the prestressed composite beam is shown to be the same value because strength is determined according to the plastic resistance moment and the plastic neutral axis; however, both plastic resistance moment and neutral axis are not affected by prestressing force but affected by sectional stiffness of the prestressing member. Based on these approaches, we concluded that the prestressing method using tendon can be useful in applications without an increase in self-weight, and the prestressing method using high-strength cover plate can be applied to reduce the deflection of the composite beam. The prestressing method using high-strength cover plate can also be used to induce prestress of the composite beam in the case of a large deflection due to a smaller sectional stiffness of the composite beam.
A Nanoscale PNPN Self-Controlled-Switch FeRAM Architecture

A PNPN nanoscale diode is formed on a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafer and is composed of a serial PNPN chain layer with a nanoscale current channel area. The bottom electrode of the ferroelectric capacitor (FeCAP) is connected to a serial PNPN-nanoscale-diode chain, and the top electrode of FeCAP is connected to the wordline (WL). The bitline (BL) under the FeCAP is also connected to the serial PNPN-nanoscale-diode chain. The serial PNPN-nanoscale-diode chain layers of each nanoscale channel are separated by a dielectric insulator layer. The MEDICI-simulated PNPN-diode snap-back voltage properties are controlled by various process conditions. The leakage current shape of the reverse biased-PN diode is similar to the forward-biased current shape before the snap-back voltage region of the PNPN nanoscale diode.

Master formulas for overlap integrals and the dipole moments involving |4p > atomic orbitals have been derived by the expansion method for spherical harmonics. The radial integrals for the hyperfine interaction have also been derived for |4p > atomic orbitals. The calculated values of the overlap integrals and dipole moment matrix elements by the expansion method for spherical harmonics for a hypothetical NO molecule are exactly in agreement with those of Mulliken's method. The radial integrals for the hyperfine interaction may be used to calculate the chemical shift for |4p > atomic orbitals.
