State of the Art on ebXML for Port and Logistics Industry
Hyung-RimChoi,Nam-KyuPark,Hyun-SooKim 한국항해항만학회 2002 한국항해항만학회지 Vol.26 No.6
Korean government, port and logistics companies have made a lot of efforts to exchange electronic documents between themselves and their partners. As a result of it, Korean Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) standards were made by the Korean Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport(EDIFACT) committee and the standards have been used by companies and governmental organizations in Korea. However, Korean port and logistics EDI system is based on Value Added Network(VAN) and a VAN company has monopolistic right to relay EDI documents to Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries(MOMAF) and Customs Service. Therefore it leads to a lot of problems such as inconvenient software, expensive transmission fee, insufficient improvement of business process and the difficulty of connection with the in-house systems of user companies. To solve these problems, United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business(UN/CEFACT) and Organization for Structured Information Standards(OASIS) are aimed to progress for eXtensible Markup Language(XML) and Internet-based Electronic Business Extensible Markup Language(ebXML) electronic commerce framework. This research is trying to derive an conceptual ebXML model based e-Business for port and logistics industry. Especially, for improving extant problems in the port and logistics industry, this research proposes the Information Strategic Planning(ISP) and Proof of Concept(POC) for ebXML systems.

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of the Korean Safflower (Carthamus inctorius L) seed powder on serum level of hormones and trabecula area during the recovery from osteoporosis induced ovariectomized rats. Four month-old rats were ovariectomized (OVX), remained untreated for 8 weeks, and were subsequently administered safflower seed (0.03g/kg) every other day 30 for days. We examined the effects of treated safflower seed every 10 days on ovariectomy-related changes in Insulin-like Growth Factors, Insulin-like Growth Factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3), Estrogen, Bone-specific alkaline phosphotase, Calcium, and Phospotase in the serum, and also histomorphology of the proximal fibula metaphysis and femur/body weight rate. Ten and 20 days after safflower seed treatment in OVX rats, serum levels of IGF-I, -II and IGFBP-3 were not different from the Sham and OVX groups. In 30 days, serum levels of IGF-I,-II and IGFBP-3 were higher after safflower seed treatment in OVX rats as compared to the other two groups (p<0.05). Bone alkaline phosphatase levels were increased through safflower seed treatment in OVX rats compared to the other two groups in 30 days. There were no differences between OVX and safflower seed treated OVX rats in serum levels of estrogen and femur/body weight rate, but estrogen levels for the sham group were higher than for the other two groups. The safflower seed is increased to serum levels of IGFs, IGFBP-3 and BALP of osteoporosis induced by ovariectomized rats. Thus, we conclude that the safflower seed is a possible role for improvement of osteoporosis induced-ovariectomized rats.
Genetic Diversity and Inter-relationships among MaizeInbred Lines using MITE-AFLP
이주경,김남희,민황기,Nam-SooKim 한국육종학회 2002 한국육종학회지 Vol.34 No.4
MITEs (miniature inverted-repeat transposable elements) are one of the major transposable elements in maize. We haveapplied MITE-AFLP technique to study the genetic diversity and genetic relationship among 25 elite maize inbred lines. WhileMITE-AFLP fragment sizes ranged approximately from 100 to 650 bp, the fragments in the range of 200-400 bp showed higherproportion of polymorphic bands than monomorphic bands. Analysis of the 25 inbred lines with 8 MITE-AFLP primer combi-nations detected a total of 229, of which 130 (57.4%) were polymorphic among the inbreds. The 25 inbred lines utilized consistedof mainly two groups of Lancaster Sure Crops in BSSS, Reid Yelow Dent, and one miscellaneous line. The genetic distances,GDs, between groups were slightly higher than the GDs within the groups. Shannon's index of diversity Hs of MITE-AFLP vari-ations for LSC and BS inbred were 4.55 and 4.9, respectively. Thus, the BSSS inbred lines exhibited relatively higher variationthan LSC inbred lines. In the cluster analysis of 25 inbred lines, four major groups were recognized; Group I contained 4 linesfrom LSC and 1 line from BSSS, Group I contained 6 lines from BSSS, 2 lines from LSC and ND203 from diferent origin,Group II contained 3 lines from BSSS and one line from LSC, Group IV contained 5 lines from BSSS and 2 lines from LSC.Since the clustering of the maize inbreds based on MITE-AFLP matched with the lineages except of a few odd lines, the MITE-AFLP analysis might provide a new insight in studies of genetic diversity and select for beter combination for hybrid breeding inmaize.
