Owing to the rapid demand of automatic machines in the agriculture planting zone of south-Asia countries, the construction of mini-hydro-power systems to provide not only the electrical power for operation but also to supply the water amount for irrigation is part of smart agriculture system. This kind of power production system has long distance of pipeline to deliver water and often equipped some sets of hydro-turbines to generate the electrical power from potential of water sources. The successful working of mini-hydropower station depended on precise combination of regulating valves and sleeve valves to control the flow rate and transferred the potential energy to kinetic energy that driving the electrical motor. The purpose of the present research is to design and test a multi-jets sleeve valve under different back-pressure conditions with systematic approach. The linear relationship between the opening ratios of injection holes with the exhaust flow rate was intended to achieve by various holes arrangements in the inner cone.

Syntheses and Characterizations of Two New Cadmium Complexes Based on Oxalate

Two new Cd(II) complexes, {[Cd(COO)2]2·2H2O}n (1) and {[CdCl(COO)2(Hbmi)]·H2O} n (2), were obtained through the reactions of oxalic acid (H2ox) with CdCl2 ·2.5H2O in the presence of 1-[(benzoimidazol-yl)methyl]-1H-tetrazole (bmt) or 1-[(benzoimidazol-yl)methyl]-1H-imidazol (bmi). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction shows that complex 1 has a 3-D structure with the topological notation of (48 · 62)(46 · 66 · 83)(42 · 84), in which the oxalate displays two kinds of coordination modes: formation of the layers (μ6-ox) and linking the layers (μ4-ox). In complex 2, oxalates bridge Cd(II) ions, forming a 1-D chain, and (Hbmi)+ cations coordinate to the Cd(II) ions in monodentate mode and hang at two sides of the main chain. This indicates that subtle modification of the N-donor ligands can result in complexes with different compositions and architectures. Moreover, their IR spectra, PXRD (powder X-ray diffraction) patterns, thermogravimetric analyses, and fluorescence properties are also investigated.

Microscopic Mechanisms and Acoustic Emission Characteristics of Sandy Mudstone under Different Water Saturations

In order to study the damage mechanism of surrounding rocks under water-rock coupling, an experimental study on the microscopic law of water absorption and mechanics of sandy mudstone was carried out in the sandy mudstone stratum of Wanfu coal mine in Shandong, China. The results indicate that the strength of sandy mudstone exhibits three stages of relative softening, rapid softening, and decelerated softening. The speed of water molecules entering the microscopic pore structure was analyzed based on the percentage of water molecules in the pore structure. The acoustic emission energy release process is divided into energy accumulation stage, stable release stage and intense release stage. With the increase of water content saturation,  (Spectral width of the multifractal spectrum) tends to decrease and the distribution of events is gradually uniform. The action of water gradually expands and penetrates the cracks and pores inside the sandy mudstone, which makes f (Frequency of occurrence of the signal) change from negative to positive values.

商务汉语教学中的“间性”问题研究

一直以来,商务汉语教学旨在培养语言学习者的语言运用能力、职场沟通能力及跨文化能力,但目前学界关于商务汉语教学的研究多集中于课程体系设置和教学方法的革新等操作性层面,教学过程中的三个“间性”维度却很少有人触碰:即话语间性、主体间性与文化间性。这三个维度分别涉及到文本阅读和语境理解的关系,学习者和教师之间的关系以及语言学习者对不同文化之间的理解方式。在商务汉语的学习目标和学科定位的框架之下对三个“间性”维度进行研究,不仅有助于教育者在商务汉语教学中根据学习者的学习经历,文化背景去采取不同的教育方法和手段,也有利于学习者更为准确的把握文本内涵,进行具有创造性的阅读和写作。 Chinese business teaching aims to train the ability of learners in language applying, workplace communicating and inter-culture communicating. By now, however, most of the researchers have focused on the teaching designing or the method improving. Few of the scholars noticed the three “inter” dimensions in business Chinese teaching: interdiscursivity, intersubjectivity and interculturality. In detail, the interdiscursivity means the relationship between the text reading and the context understanding, while the intersubjectivity refers to the relationship between teachers and learners. Moreover, the concept “Interculturality” means the way learners understand the different kinds of culture. The study on those three “inter” dimensions in business Chinese teaching could not only help teachers in method applying in business Chinese teaching, but also provide a more efficient way in reading, writing and understanding.

CPT考试中商务话语的体裁及其测试维度分析

近年来,商务话语在CPT考试的阅读题和语意理解题中常以广告语、公司会议报告以及应聘记录 等体裁出现.其中广告话语多以营销语和打折信息的形式出现;公司会议报告则以正式的会议记录 或非正式的年会祝词形式出现;应聘记录则主要以招聘启事的形式出现。本文以CPT考试真题中听 力和阅读理解部分出现的商务汉语为研究对象,将商务汉语划分为广告语、公司会议报告以及招聘 通知等三种商务话语体裁,并基于真题分析来探究这三种体裁对于汉语学习者在知识、能力和素质 三个维度的测试内容。 Recently, the business discourse has constituted an important part in the CPT, especially in the Readings. The forms of business discourse includes: Advertisement discourse, reports in the Company meetings and records in interviewing. This essay studies on the Chinese about the business discourse in the reading comprehension and listening comprehension in the CPT. In this essay, advertisement, meeting reports and interviewing notes are the three genres constituting the Chinese about business discourse. The study is basing on the exam questions in the CPT, researching the text dimensions, including the knowledge, ability and the quality.

Genetic variations in the bitter taste receptor gene TAS2R38 are related to cigarette smoking behavior in Han Chinese smokers

Background: Smoking behavior is influenced by multiple genes, including the bitter taste gene TAS2R38. It has been reported that the correlation between TAS2R38 and smoking behavior has ethnicity-based differences. However, the TAS2R38 status in Chinese smokers is still unclear. Objective: This study aims to investigate the possible relationship between genetic variations in TAS2R38 (A49P, V262A and I296V) and smoking behaviors in the Han Chinese population. Methods: The haplotype analyses were performed and smoking behavior questionnaire was completed by 1271 individuals. Genetic association analyses for smoking behavior were analyzed using chi-square test. Further, for investigating the molecular mechanism of TAS2R38 variants effect on smoking behavior, we conducted TAS2R38-PAV and TAS2R38-AVI expression plasmids and tested the cellular calcium assay by cigarette smoke compounds stimulus in HEK293. Results: Significant associations of genetic variants within TAS2R38 were identified with smoking behavior. We found a higher PAV/PAV frequency than AVI/AVI in moderate and high nicotine dependence (FTND ≥ 4; X2 = 4.611, 1 df, p = 0.032) and strong cigarette smoke flavor intensity preference (X2 = 4.5383, 1 df, p = 0.033) in participants. Furthermore, in the in vitro cellular calcium assay, total particle matter (TPM), N-formylnornicotine and cotinine, existing in cigarette smoke, activated TAS2R38-PAV but not TAS2R38-AVI-transfected cells. Conclusion: Our data highlights that genetic variations in TAS2R38 are related to smoking behavior, especially nicotine dependence and cigarette smoke flavor intensity preference. Our findings may encourage further consideration of the taste process to identify individuals susceptible to nicotine dependence, particularly Han Chinese smokers.

Chattering Free Distributed Consensus Control for Attitude Tracking of Spacecraft Formation System with Unmeasurable Angular Velocity

In this paper, the attitude tracking control of spacecraft formation is studied when the velocities of spacecrafts are unmeasurable. Firstly, a Finite-Time Extended State Observer (FTESO) is constructed to estimate the unmeasured angular velocity and compensate the external disturbance for each spacecraft. Secondly, a chattering free distributed consensus controller which did not require inversion of Laplacian matrix is proposed based on FTESO and Integral Nonsingular Terminal Sliding Mode (INTSM). It is proved that the proposed consensus controller can realize finite-time attitude tracking control of spacecraft by the Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, a simulation example with one leader and four followers is given. The simulation results show that the proposed consensus controller can eliminate system chattering, and provide fast finite-time convergence performance and high precision Tracking.

The Effect of Monetary Policies on the Relationship between Advertising and Mutual Fund Flows

This paper investigates the effect of monetary policies, mainly proxied by interest rate changes, on the relationship between advertising and subsequent net cash flows for Taiwan’s mutual fund industry. Based on a comprehensive mutual fund dataset and allowing for a precise estimation of fund inflows and outflows, we find that there is a positive advertising–cash flow relation under different macroeconomic conditions. Taking into account a change in the interest rate, we document that the positive relationship between the two only exists when the interest rate is at a relatively low level regardless of restrictive and expansionary periods. Our empirical findings shed new light on marketing strategies whereby mutual fund advertising works well during relatively low interest rate environments, which are generally interpreted as exhibiting low cost of capital and a good signal of future economic conditions.
