        This study focuses on analyzing relationship between motive of high school P.E. and the students’ intrinsic motivation providing basic information in order to induce their voluntary participation through physical activity First, participatory motivations were different according to sex, grade year, and athletic club activities; Male students showed more participation than females, and the first-year students were the most-highly motivated ones, followed by third- and second-year students. Also, the students who were enrolled in athletic clubs had better participatory motivation than those who were not. Second, intrinsic motivations were also different according to sex, grade year and athletic club activities; male students were motivated more intrinsically than females, and the first-year students showed highest intrinsic motivation, followed by third- and second-year students. Also, the students who were enrolled I athletic clubs had higher intrinsic motivation than those who were not. Third, for the influence of the motivation of participation to intrinsic motivation, higher nothing-motivation (B=-.116, p<.05) seemed to result lower intrinsic motivation, and higher interests (B=.356, p<.001) appeared to bring higher intrinsic motivation.

        This study focuses on analyzing relationship between motive of high school P.E. and the students’ Satisfaction providing basic information in order to induce their voluntary participation through physical activity. First, participatory motivations were different according to sex, grade year, and athletic club activities; Male students showed more participation than females, and the first-year students were the most-highly motivated ones, followed by third- and second-year students. Also, the students who were enrolled in athletic clubs had better participatory motivation than those who were not. Second, in satisfaction criteria, male students were satisfied more than females. The level of satisfaction according to school year did not show significant differences, showing p>0.05. The students who were participating in athletic clubs appeared to have higher level of satisfaction than those who were not. Third and the last, the conclusion of the effect of the motivation of participation toward satisfaction is like below: it appeared that refreshing (B=.210, p<.01), one of the factors of the motivation of participation, and satisfaction have positive co-relationship. Interest (B=.215, p<.001), another factor of the participatory motivation, appeared to affect positively on satisfaction - which shows positive co-relation. Sociality (B=.208, p<.001) also affected positively on satisfaction, so that one can safely say the higher the sociality, the higher the satisfaction.

        A total of 189 strains (Streptococcus agalactiae and non-Streptococcus agalactiae 110, Staphylococcus aureus 63, and E. coli 16) isolated from bovine mastitie milk samples by "The Connecticut Mastitis Control Program" in dairy herds were examined for drug susceptibility to 8 drugs and analysed the rate of multiple resistant patterns. 1. All of the isolates were resistant to antimicrobial agents such as penicillin (PC), streptomycin (SM), kanamycin(KM), carbenicillin (CA), lincomycin (LM), gentamicin (GM), and tetracycline (TC), singly or multiply. The isolates were more susceptible to CA (84.1%),PC (78.9%), and SM (78.4%) than the the other drugs such as GM (51.8%), KM (48.7%), TC (19.6%) and LM (19.0%) in order. 2. The multiple resistant isolates (96.3%) were more than those of singly resistant isolates (3.7%) and 58 different drug resistant patterns were observed. Among 7 singly resistant isolates, CP was the commonest. While among 182 multiple resistant isolates, CP-KM-LM-TC-GM, CP-LM-TC, CP-LM-TC-GM, PC-CP-SM-LM-TC-GM, CP-KM-LM-TC, and CP-LM patterns were frequently encounted. 3. The strains of streptococcus spp. were more susceptible to CA (90.1%) and SM (82.9%) than the other drugs such as KM (43.2%), GM (38.7%), LM (13.5%), CP (10.8%) and TC (10.8%). Among them CP-KM-LM-TC-CM pattern was frequently encounted. 4. The strains of Sta. aureus were more susceptible to PC (74.6%),CA (69.8%), SM (65.1%) and GM (63.5%) than the other drugs such as KM (46.0%), CP (22.2%), TC (15.9%) and LM (9.5%). Among them CP-LM-TC pattern was commonly encounted. 5. The strains of E. coli were more susceptible to CA (100%) and KM (75.0%) tnan TC (9.5%). But the other drugs such as PC, SM, GM, CP and LM were not. Among them PC-CP-SM-LM-TC-GM pattern was commonly encounted.

        Studies on the heavy metal content of ginkgo leaves growing in all around Seoul. This study was carried out to investigate the concentration of heavy metals and soluble sulfur in ginkgo leaves. These leaves are found growing in park, residential, commercial and industrial areas all around Seoul. These analyzed the quantity of Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, Zn, Hg and soluble surfur in separate samples of washed and unwashed leaves. The results were as follows: 1. This order of heavey metal concentration was found in Seoul area,: Fe> Mn> Zn> Ni> Pb> Cu> Co> Cd> Hg. 2. Pb concentration was higher in the commercial aera than in the other aeras, and it concentration in washed leaves was higher 96~100% and unwashed leaves 85~170%. 3. In the residential area Ni concentration was significantly higer where about seven times more Ni was found on the top part of the leaves. 4. Water soluble surfur was higest in the inudstrial area, but the percentage on top of the leaves was only 0.04~0.05% simillar with other area. 5. Fe, Zn and Ni were almost positively correlated to each component but negatively correlated between Mn and souble sulfer. All of content except Mn and Ni were significance between each area in washed and unwashed leaves.

        A total of 444 quarters milk samples of 111 dairy cattle in Chonbuk area were examined for infection rete and causative agents of mastitis by "the laboratory procedures used in the Connecticut Mastitis Control Program (CMCP) and California mastitis Test (CMT)". The results obtained were as follows: 1. Of 444 samples, 39.2% had positive CMCP value and 24.4% positive CMT reaction. 2. One hendred and seventy four (39.2%) from 82 cattle (73.9%) were found to infected with mastitis. It was found that 8(1.8%0 of the infected quarters were clinical mastitis and all of the rest were subclinical mastitis. 3. The main causative agents were found to Staphylococcus aureus (63 quarters), Streptococcus agalactiae (56 quarters), non-Str. agalactiae streptococci (54 querters), Escherichia coli (19 quaters), the actual total number of quarters detected as mastitis would be 174, as 18 of these quarters showed multiple infection with two different organisms. 4. Having examined the number of infection quarter per head of mastitis in dairy cattle sampling, major finding were that the average number of infection quarters to total dairy cattle exemined was 1.57 quarters, and that of the infected cattle was 2.1 quarters. Infected quarters in cattle with 1, 2, 3 and 4 were noted 27(32.9%), 28(34.1%), 17(20.7%), and 10(12.3%), respectively.

        The purpose of maintaining of bridges was to secure of them and expend its life. They wereneeded to have a regular safety check. But, most parts of a bridge were not able to access easily for people so it was difficult to maintain. To improve it, the flight mechanism and mobile mechanism were combined to examine with moving when they were attaching to bridges up and down. The flight mechanism is a co-axial-rotor-helicopter shape that cut the body down and can be done hovering. The mobile mechanism was shaped to move every direction with holding the position of a robot. These robot platforms showed possibilities to use them not only for observation and patrol but they could be used for a new usage with transformation of flying robots. This paper was focused on location maintaining when a robot was examined a bridge. The flight mechanism would only have thrust and adhesive force, the mobile mechanism would be used for moving. Therefore, defining the mechanistic model of the mobile mechanism has proved the validity of the model through simulations and experiments.

        Bi₃zsLa(0.75)Ti₃0_(12) (BLT) thin film have been grown on p-type Si(l00) substrates by a sol-gel spin coating process. The structure and surface morphology of the film were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEMI. Furthermore, the electrical properties were examined by capacitance-voltage ( C-V) characteristics by using a LF Impedance Analyzer(HP 4192A). XRD measurement show layered perovskite structure with a single phase in BLT thin film annealed at 700C for 30 min in oxygen. The measured grain size of BLT on Si is about 0.04 - 0.1 pn. From the cross-sectional SEM image, BLT film thickness is measured to be 0.4 pm. The C-V characteristic hysteresis curves show that the NIFS (metal-fexroelectric-semiconductor) structure has memory effect. The memory window decreases, with increasing frequency at MFS structure. And it is found that the memory window increases as the applied voltage to the ferroelectric capacitor is increased. These phenomena may be due to polarization reversals of the BLT ferroelectric film and because of the charge injection from Si substrate into the ferroelectric thin film. The results obtained indicate that the present BLT films are suitable for making ferroelectric field effect transistor(FeFET) memory.

        Synthesis, Characterization, and Absorption Spectra of Metallamacrocycles, [Pd{α,ω-bis(diphenylphosphino)oligothienylene}Cl<sub>2</sub>]<sub>2</sub>

        Dimeric metallamacrocycles of 2 : 2 (metal-to-ligand) stoichiometry, [Pd{${\alpha},{\omega}$-bis(diphenylphosphino)oligothienylene}$Cl_2]_2$ 1-3 were prepared from a self-assembly reaction of $[Pd(CH_3CN)_2Cl_2]$ and ${\alpha},{\omega}$-bis-(diphenylphosphino)oligothienylene in 90-94% yields. The structures of metallamacrocycles 1-3 were determined by X-ray diffraction. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group $P2_1$/n with a/$\AA$ = 12.0737(13), b/$\AA$ = 17.1993(18), c/$\AA$ = 13.0951(14) and ${\beta}/^{\circ}$ = 101.505(2). 2 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P with a/$\AA$ = 10.2634(4), b/$\AA$ = 19.7855(9), c/$\AA$ = 21.0851(9), ${\alpha}/^{\circ}$ = 63.1010(10), ${\beta}/^{\circ}$ = 86.5880(10), ${\gamma}/^{\circ}$ = 81.2280(10). 3 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P with a/$\AA$ = 10.4353(19), b/$\AA$ = 13.482(3), c/$\AA$ = 13.816(3), ${\alpha}/^{\circ}$ = 108.027(4), ${\beta}/^{\circ}$ = 90.461(4), ${\gamma}/^{\circ}$ = 93.261(4). The UV spectra of 1-3 were characterized.

        Enhanced power-saving mechanism to maximize operational efficiency in IEEE 802.16e systems

        <P>A Power-Saving Mechanism (PSM) operates with sleep-mode and wake-mode, based on the receipt of requests for transition to each mode. The sleep-mode operation is manipulated by adjusting operating parameters such as the minimum sleep interval (T<SUB>min</SUB>) and the maximum sleep interval (T<SUB>max</SUB>). Interestingly, both energy consumption and the response delay of the request for a BS initiation of awakening are reciprocally affected by the relative sizes of these two operating parameters compared to the sleep duration (from the beginning of sleep-mode to that of wake-mode). To resolve this issue, this paper proposes a new PSM, called EPSM, which adaptively and simultaneously controls the operating parameters by efficiently reflecting the sleep duration. Moreover, depending on the current remaining energy state, this mechanism can also increase the available sizes of the operating parameters to be manipulated for achieving more intensive energy conservation. A numerical model is developed with a Markov chain for performance evaluation of the proposed mechanism pertaining to energy consumption and the response delay. The evaluation results substantiate that this mechanism can enhance energy conservation within reasonable response delay compared to the standard mechanism. Moreover, under an insufficient remaining energy state, the EPSM can prolong battery life while enduring an increasing response delay.</P>

        Characteristic Clinical Features and Survival in Cats with Symptomatic Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

        Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is recognized as the most common feline cardiac disease. Several studies have evaluated the population characteristics and survival time of cats with HCM; however, these reports included large numbers of asymptomatic HCM. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the characteristics and survival time of cats with symptomatic HCM admitted to emergency service. Medical records were examined to verify clinical diagnosis of HCM. Asymptomatic cats diagnosed with HCM were also excluded from the study. From a total of 13 cats, eight were classified in the arterial thromboembolism (ATE) group while the other five were in the congestive heart failure (CHF) group. Middle-aged (6 years, range 1.4~7 years) male cats (53.8%) were included in this study. Pelvic limb paralysis, depression, and respiratory distress were common clinical signs found in symptomatic HCM cats. Hematologic evaluation found that enzymes related to muscle damage and tissue necrosis were elevated in both groups and highly elevated in the ATE group. Left atrium was remarkably enlarged in ATE group cats. The median survival time of cats in the ATE group was significantly shorter than that of cats in the CHF group (P=0.002). Prospective investigation based on a large population would be required to clarify the effects of various factors on prognosis of HCM cats.
