The tracking control problem of hypersonic vehicles is studied and analyzed in this paper using terminalsliding mode control method (TSMC) and non-homogeneous disturbance observer(NHDO) considering parametricuncertainty and external disturbances. Non-singular terminal sliding mode controller is provided based on NHDO. The key idea is that the NHDO is adopted to estimate the aerodynamic uncertainties and external disturbancessimultaneously, which can enhance the robustness of the system and lower the gain of the switch controller. Rigorousstability analysis for the closed-loop system is given via Lyapunov stability theory, which proves that thesystem states are always bounded even during the estimation process when the estimation error is not zero. Thesliding manifold can be reached in finite time and the tracking errors can converge to zero asymptotically. Numericalsimulations are conducted with the longitudinal nonlinear dynamic model of hypersonic vehicles to verify theeffectiveness and robustness of the designed controller.
Tracking Control of Hypersonic Vehicles with Input Saturation Based on Fast Terminal Sliding Mode
Jing-Guang Sun,Shen-Min Song 한국항공우주학회 2019 International Journal of Aeronautical and Space Sc Vol.20 No.2
In this paper, the track problem of hypersonic vehicle is studied and analyzed with external disturbances, parameter uncertainty and input saturation. First, to make the design of controller convenient, the input and output linearized high-order model of hypersonic vehicle is transformed into a multi-variable second-order system model by introducing auxiliary error variables. To ensure the sliding mode manifold is practical finite time stable, an adaptive fast nonsingular terminal sliding mode controller is designed for hypersonic vehicle with unknown upper bound of disturbance. An adaptive anti-saturation fast nonsingular terminal sliding mode controller is designed by introducing hyperbolic tangent function an auxiliary system, which further solves the input saturation problem. Not only the requirement for actuator physical restraint is satisfied, but also the finite time stability of system sliding mode manifold is guaranteed at the same time. The vigorous proof is given using Lyapunov theory for the designed controllers. The numerical simulations are also conducted with the longitudinal nonlinear dynamic mode of hypersonic vehicle. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the two designed controllers.

In this paper, the problem of multi-stage nonlinear model predictive control with scenario update is investigated for semi-batch polymerization processes. The objective is to propose novel online scenario update schemes such that the more reasonable scenario tree can be generated. Firstly, based on the Orthogonal Configuration of Finite Elements (OCFE) method of direct radau configuration, the dynamic optimization problems are converted to Nonlinear Programing (NLP) problems such that the speed and accuracy of real-time optimization problem solving are effectively improved. Then, the scenario deviation is calculated based on model prediction information of each scenario and process measurement information. After that, calculate the bayesian probability weight of corresponding scenario is obtained. The online scenario reduction scheme uses the weight information update scenarios gradually reduce the scope of scenario tree representation. The online scenario weight update scheme uses the weight information as the basis for weight assignment of each scenario in the optimization problem. They use different methods to make the scenario tree modeling approach the real realization of uncertainty, and reduce the conservativeness compared with the traditional MSNMPC fixed scenario tree method. Through multiple batches numerical simulations of a semi-batch polymerization process, the advantages and effectiveness of the two proposed schemes are verified.

Gender differences in fatigue manifest as females being more prone to feel exhaustion and having lower muscle endurance. However, the mechanisms of these effects remain unclear. We investigated whether orosomucoid, an endogenous anti-fatigue protein that enhances muscle endurance, is involved in this regulation. Female rats exhibited lower muscle endurance, and this gender difference disappeared in orosomucoid-1-deficient mice. Female rats also exhibited weaker orosomucoid induction in serum, liver and muscle in response to fatigue compared with male rats. Ovariectomy elevated orosomucoid levels and increased swimming time, and estrogen replenishment reversed these effects. Exogenous estrogen treatment in male and female mice produced opposite effects. Estrogen decreased orosomucoid expression and its promoter activity in C2C12 muscle and Chang liver cells in vitro, and estrogen receptor or p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase blockade abolished this effect. Therefore, estrogen negatively regulates orosomucoid expression that is responsible for the weaker muscle endurance in females.

This research is aimed to develop a novel kind of biomarker based on water-soluble quantum dots(QDs) conjugated with estrogen receptor (ER) for the detection of breast cancer (BC). To achievethe purpose, hydrophobic octadecylamine-coated QDs were encapsulated with amphiphilic bio-compatible centipede-like polymer p(aspartate)-Na-graft-p(ethylene glycol)-dodecylamine(PASP-Na-g-PEG-DDA), and then modi¯ed with ER monoclonal antibodies, which is one ofthe most popular biomarkers for the detection and management of breast cancer worldwide. Thetargeted QDs kept the original optical property of QDs. The cytotoxicity in vitro experimentsshowed that QDs-ER probes had no obvious toxic side e®ects. Remarkably, confocal laser scanningmicroscopy (CLSM) revealed that the localized °uorescence appeared around the nucleus of humanbreast cancer cell MCF7 (ER positive) compared with that of human breast cancer cellMBA-MD-231 (ER negative). According to the above analysis, this new kind of probe has greatpotential in the diagnosis of breast tumor in vitro in future clinical application.

Excited states of 113In have been populated through the heavy-ion fusion evaporation reaction 110Pd(7Li, 4n)113In. A new band with the configuration of a proton d5/2 orbital is identified. Two ΔI = 2 intruder bands, built on the πh11/2 and the πg7/2 orbitals, have been extended to spins (63/2-)ħ and (55/2+)ħ, respectively. The negative-parity πh11/2 intruder band shows a smooth increase in aligned spin, which is attributed to a strong proton-neutron interaction. The properties of the positive-parity πg7/2 band are discussed based on tilted axis cranking model calculations, and the features of the antimagnetic rotation for this band are shown after backbend. Furthermore, the contributions of the two-shears-like mechanism, the neutron (gd)ν shell and the core rotation are investigated for the positive-parity πg7/2 band.

In order to meet the needs of high-precision guidance for missile-guided maneuvering targets in the presence of towed bait interference, this paper proposes a new guidance strategy based on heading angle method and parallel approaching method. Its main idea: a suitable angle is determined by heading angle method which of the missile trajectory is above that of the towing bait. Meanwhile, the accurate interception of missiles to targets is guaranteed by parallel approaching method. Firstly, system models of missile and target with towed decoy are established. Then, considering unknown bounded system disturbances, a controller is given based on sliding mode, back-stepping method. Furthermore, to solve the input saturation problem, an anti-saturation controller is given using adaptive and back-stepping sliding mode methods. Finally, strict proofs of the two controllers are given using Lyapunov stability theory, and simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the two controllers.

Background: Our previous investigation indicated that the preparation of Panax ginseng Meyer(P. ginseng) inhibited melanogenesis. It comprised salicylic acid (SA), protocatechuic acid (PA), p-coumaricacid (p-CA), vanillic acid (VA), and caffeic acid (CA). In this investigation, the regulatory effects ofP. ginseng phenolic acid monomers on melanin production were assessed. Methods: In vitro and in vivo impact of phenolic acid monomers were assessed. Results: SA, PA, p-CA and VA inhibited tyrosinase (TYR) to reduce melanin production, whereas CA hadthe opposite effects. SA, PA, p-CA and VA significantly downregulated the melanocortin 1 receptor(MC1R), cycle AMP (cAMP), protein kinase A (PKA), cycle AMP-response element-binding protein (CREB),microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) pathway, reducing mRNA and protein levels ofTYR, tyrosinase-related protein 1 (TYRP1), and TYRP2. Moreover, CA treatment enhanced the cAMP, PKA,and CREB pathways to promote MITF mRNA level and phosphorylation. It also alleviated MITF proteinlevel in a-MSH-stimulated B16F10 cells, comparable to untreated B16F10, increasing the expression ofphosphorylation glycogen synthase kinase 3b (p-GSK3b), b-catenin, p-ERK/ERK, and p-p38/p38. Furthermore, the GSK3b inhibitor promoted p-GSK3b and p-MITF expression, as observed in CA-treatedcells. Moreover, p38 and ERK inhibitors inhibited CA-stimulated p-p38/p38, p-ERK/ERK, and p-MITFincrease, which had negative binding energies with MC1R, as depicted by molecular docking. Conclusion: P. ginseng roots' phenolic acid monomers can safely inhibit melanin production by bidirectionallyregulating melanin synthase transcription. Furthermore, they reduced MITF expression viaMC1R/cAMP/PKA signaling pathway and enhanced MITF post-translational modification via Wnt/mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway.

Winged helix/forkhead transcription factor gene 2 (Foxl2) plays a crucial role during early ovarian development in fish. Sex steroids and aromatase inhibitors can regulate gonadal differentiation in teleosts. To address the role of Foxl2 in gonadal differentiation, foxl2 was isolated and characterized from the Hong Kong catfish, Clarias fuscus. Tissue distribution analysis by quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) showed that the foxl2 mRNA was highest in the ovaries; moderate in the female pituitary and hypothalamus; but weak in the forebrain, liver, testis and male pituitary, with a sexually dimorphic pattern in which there was higher expression overall in females versus males. Treatment of the fries during the period of gonadal differentiation [2–30 days post hatching (dph)] with 17amethyltestosterone (MT), an aromatase inhibitor (letrozole) and 17b-estradiol (E2) affected the expression of foxl2. The expression of foxl2 was highest before gonadal differentiation (12 dph), but decreased significantly after gonadal differentiation (18-30 dph). In addition, MT and letrozole were able to down-regulate foxl2, but E2 up-regulated foxl2 during gonadal morphological differentiation. These results indicate the significant roles of Foxl2 in the gonadal differentiation of C. fuscus.
