Purpose: The purpose of this research paper is to explore what factors that affect customer purchase decisions in the online environment, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic in the case of Vietnamese customers. Research Design, Data and Methodology: To clarify which factor has the most significant impacts on online purchasing decision-making process, this study proposed a research model including factors such as customer trust, proposensity to trust, system assurance, the quality of website design, attitude, and customer satisfaction. This study collected the data via online survey. Data analysis was conducted by AMOS 25.0 using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. Result: The results of this study shows that the purchase decisions were positively affected by customers’ attitude, satisfaction, trust, and the quality of websites design. Additionally, factors such as perceived size and reputation and system assurance, have impacts on buyers’ trust, while the propensity to trust has no significant impact. Conclusion: This study provides managerial implications. The results provide which factors should be improved to foster trust, attitude, customer satisfaction, and purchase decision in the online environment. The results also provide managerial implication on marketing strategies how to enhance better relationships with customers and to consider environmental issues in the era of post COVID-19.

This study aims to analyze the impact of technology adoption on students’ satisfaction with the higher education system in Vietnam. With the continuous development of information and technology, the education sector in particular and many economic sectors in Vietnam have witnessed an explosion of applications and interventions in teaching-learning. However, these innovations have also received a lot of criticism regarding their effectiveness and feasibility. Although the numerous benefits that technology adoption has brought to education are apparent, many practitioners have not adjusted to this transition, resulting in lower learner satisfaction. Through a survey of more than 2472 university students in Vietnam, the results find a positive relationship between technology adoption and student satisfaction in higher education. We also test how nine contingent factors including gender, income, major, self-study time, learning methods, technology administration, self-ability in adopting technology, technology accessibility, and purpose of using technology can moderate that relationship. Indeed, technology adoption acts as a facilitator to make learning more convenient, effective, and accessible, rather than completely affecting learning outcomes and satisfaction. This result suggests that self-motivation is an important and decisive factor in improving satisfaction through choosing and applying technology effectively and appropriately.

Objectives: Online misinformation has reached unprecedented levels during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This study analyzed the magnitude and sentiment dynamics of misinformation and unverified information about public health interventions during a COVID-19 outbreak in Da Nang, Vietnam, between July and September 2020. Methods: We analyzed user-generated online information about five public health interventions during the Da Nang outbreak. We compared the volume, source, sentiment polarity, and engagements of online posts before, during, and after the outbreak using negative binomial and logistic regression, and assessed the content validity of the 500 most influential posts. Results: Most of the 54,528 online posts included were generated during the outbreak (n = 46,035; 84.42%) and by online newspapers (n = 32,034; 58.75%). Among the 500 most influential posts, 316 (63.20%) contained genuine information, 10 (2.00%) contained misinformation, 152 (30.40%) were non-factual opinions, and 22 (4.40%) contained unverifiable information. All misinformation posts were made during the outbreak, mostly on social media, and were predominantly negative. Higher levels of engagement were observed for information that was unverifiable (incidence relative risk [IRR] = 2.83; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.33–0.62), posted during the outbreak (before: IRR = 0.15; 95% CI, 0.07–0.35; after: IRR = 0.46; 95% CI, 0.34-0.63), and with negative sentiment (IRR = 1.84; 95% CI, 1.23–2.75). Negatively toned posts were more likely to be misinformation (odds ratio [OR] = 9.59; 95% CI, 1.20–76.70) or unverified (OR = 5.03; 95% CI, 1.66–15.24). Conclusions: Misinformation and unverified information during the outbreak showed clustering, with social media being particularly affected. This indepth assessment demonstrates the value of analyzing online “infodemics” to inform public health responses.

Background: Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) is one of the first optimal choices to be used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. FibroScan is non-invasive methods to assess liver fibrosis. Aims: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of TDF on fibrosis via FibroScan after treatment. Methods: This study was conducted in 63 chronic hepatitis B patients who had the indication of antiviral therapy at 103 Cam Khe Clinic from March 2019 to March 2020. All patients with chronic hepatitis B treated with TDF during 6 months. Liver fibrosis stages was appreciated using transient hepatic elastography by Fibroscan before and after 6 months treatment. Results: The average age of patients was 46 years, with men accounted for 69% of the total. After treatment, normalization of ALT 71.26%, viral response of 90.23%, HBV DNA below the detection level was 66.3%. Liver fibrosis evaluated by FibroScan before and after 6 months treatment were 7.15 ± 1.56 kPa, and 3.58 ± 1.19 kPa eveluated by FibroScan. Conclusions: TDF was effective for patients after treatment on liver fibrosis assessed by FibroScan in chronic hepatitis B patients.

Aims: Chronic hepatitis C is a major infectious disease which is mainly cause of morbidity worldwide in patients with liver disease, and liver transplantation. Raised ferritin levels play an important role of intervening the process which is associated with hepatic injury. Screening with non-invasive strategies can detect the disease at early stage and intervention could be initiated. To determine correlation between serum ferritin levels and liver stiffness values in patients of chronic hepatitis C. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at 103 Cam Khe Clinic from May 2019 to April 2020. 93 patients with chronic hepatitis C fulfilling inclusion criteria were included in this study. Liver fibrosis stages was appreciated using transient hepatic elastography by Fibroscan, the activities of serum liver function biomarker enzymes and serum ferritin levels were determined by automated analyser. Results: The average age of patients was 48 years, with men accounted for 78% of the total. The mean serum ferritin value was 148.19 ng/ml, liver stiffness measurements range from 12.5 to 75.5 kPa, with a median value of 17.39 ± 15.98 kPa. Significantly elevated levels of serum ferritin (P<0.001), were detected in patients with severe fibrosis compared to mild fibrosis. Concentration of serum ferritin was increased with the evolution of fibrosis in all stages from F0 to F4 and this increase was significant (P<0.01) in cirrhotic patients (F4). There was a positive correlation between serum level of ferritin and progression of fibrosis (0.979391) (r = 0.976). Conclusions: There is significant correlation between serum ferritin and liver stiffness. Serum ferritin concentration may be used as liver fibrosis biomarkers.

Pd-incorporated Zr-based metal–organic framework containing sulfone groups, named Pd(II)BUT-11, wassuccessfully prepared by dispersing the sulfone-functionalized MOF in Pd(OAc)2 solution. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, N2 isotherm sorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and thermogravimetricanalysis were applied to determine the features of the Pd-incorporated MOF. In the catalyticstudies, Pd(II)@BUT-11 was shown to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for synthesizing various stilbenederivatives via the cross-coupling Heck reaction with DABCO-derived deep eutectic solvent (DES) asa green solvent. Notably, the catalyst and the solvent could be recovered and reused, with their activityand structure remaining stable throughout several trials. The method provides an alternative solution tothe conventional catalysts and solvents, resulting in a green and efficient stilbene synthesis process. Furthermore, the stilbenes were separated by extraction with ethyl acetate due to the low solubility ofDES with this solvent.
