        중국여대생의 체형연구 Ⅰ

        This research analyzes characterization and classification of body types for the Chinese women with body measurement values. The measurement has gauged in 1999 in Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology in China. 100 women of the Chinese college women aged 17 and 24 in China were mwasured for this research. In the results of frequency analysis, the tall of Chinese women were 158.37㎝ and also has less than 150㎝ high, and has thick under bust circumference, and has a group of more than 18㎝ for width of nipple to nipple. In the results of factor analysis. Factor 1 represented the degree of abesity, while factor 2 indicated the stature and the arm length. The body types are classified into five types by cluster analysis. The stature and weight varied according to types, leading to a classification focusing on the body size determined by stature and weight factors.

      • 食生活 管理 實態에 關한 調査 硏究 : 全羅北道 主婦를 中心으로 Focused on the Housewives in Jeonbug Province

        The purpose of this study is to find out the problems on the meal management of housewives in Jeon Bug province. Specifically, the actual condition of the budget of dietary life, menu planning, food purchasing, food habits and meal improvement were analyzed by housewives age, educational levels and then economic status. The data in this study was obtained by the survey of 1, 093 wives who lived in Jeon Bug province by means of a questionnaire. Each question of the collected questionnaires was analyzed statistically with correlation coefficients of percentage(%) and x^2 (chi-square) inspection. The results are summarized as follows : 1. Most of the housewives (81. 0%) could understand the importance of the budget plan for meal, but they didn't make plans to carry out the meal which could take the food through everyday meal for good health. 2. For the reason that they didn't make a budget, the item, “understanding from experience”obtained 39.6%, and the item, “not forming a custom”obtained 27.2%. 3. Only 18% of them planned menu before the meal; also they didn't try to get several information for the improvement of the meal management through the books. 4. For the reason that they didn't prepare the menu, no formation of custom was 47.7% which was the highest. 5. Among the housewives, 83.3% of them weren't evaluating the menu after the meal. 6. As the basis of selecting a purchase place, the consideration of quality and price was high as 75.6% and for the method of purchase, the most common buying behavior occured while walking and looking around the market stores without the plan was 77.0%. 7. The kitchen structure as well as the sewage system has been unimproved. 8. The majority of the housewives understood the defectable nutrients through the meal but only the minority of them have been practising.

      • Inulin을 분해하는 한 박테리아의 특성과 그 효소에 관한 연구 : 제1보:균의 분리 및 그 효소의 성질 PartⅠ: Bacteria Isolation and the properties of Inulase

        A bacterium isolated from the laboratory was found to produce a strong inulin-hydrolyzing enzyme. Using this bacterium, the several characteristics of inulin-hydrolyzing enzyme in the culture filtrate were studied. The shape of becterium was rod type and the Gram straining was positive. Compared to the Kluyveromyces fragilis, a yeast which produces inulase in large amount, the isolated bacterium had a capacity of lower enzyme production. However, if the culture condition of the bacterium would be improved, inulase activity will be higher than that in the previous experiments. Surprisingly, the isolated bacterium produced inulase in large amount in other carbohydrate sources such as glucose and sucrose. The ratio of enzyme activity in two substrates, inulin and sucrose, was 3.7 to 1. These results show that the properties of inulase produced from this bacterium differ from those of previous studied microorganisms in enzyme action mode.

        디지털 카메라를 이용한 2D 인체계측법 연구

        This study suggests the new 2D anthropometric method using digital camera. It is used MK2001 program that can convert 2D measurements to 3D measurements. To improve that it is measured 100 college student with direct and indirect anthropometric method. The measurements were processed by the SPSS ver10 Statistical Package. The average, standard deviation, and t-test were calculated for each category. Most measurements by 2D measurements are higher than direct measurements but degree. The difference between direct and indirect measurements is less than 2cm. In the results of t-test, height measurements including other 16 measurements which is easy to measure have no meaningful difference within 1cm. The depth measurements are most high difference. The result of each measurement proves that MK2001 program (2D anthropometry method using digital camera) is available for measuring the human body.

        Hypothyroidism presenting during pregnancy is rare, probably due to the lower incidence of hypothyroidism during reproductive years. And hypothyroidism rarely complicates pregnancy because most hypothyroidism is accompanied by amenorrhea and anovulation. Risk of maternal complications of hypothyroidism including preeclampsia, placental abruption, anemia, postpartum hemorrhage, cardiac dysfunction are increased. Hypothyroidism accompanies pericardial effusion frequently. But the diagnosis of pericardial effusion is usually made incidentally by routine check-up because the patient rarely complains any symptoms of pericardial effusion. Moreover it is extremely rare that pericardial effusion makes the presenting sign of hypothyroidism. We experienced a case of preeclampsia with pericardial effusion in hypothyroid parturient that needed pericardial window operation with emergency cesarean section. So we present this case with a brief review.

        Academic costume is a ceremonial dress represented authority and formality. This indicates a degree in a viewpoint of personality, and symbolizes academic authority and well matched social responsibility. Besides, it emblematizes separately university's identity and tradition, and could be utilized useful culturaltools visualized national culture and tradition. That is to say, academic costume is most effect visual medium, which symbolizes our subjective culture and academic authority and phase. Accordingly, creative academic costume's development is a link of active and positive efforts to be satisfied with various needs of spearhead information society in 21C. Academic costume designing development had been progressed a public opinion survey, theoretical examination, and research on the actual condition through various actual materials. Based on the above examination, this study performs designing development of a bachelor, master, and doctor's academic costumes. Designing development of academic costumes intend to be enlarged and developed academic costume's function as a symbolic cultural tool, which includes Sookmyung women's spirit as a beginningof the racial education. Moreover, this aims at active utilizing of academic costumes as a symbolic medium expressed Sookmyung Women's University's identity, which intends to realization of the racial education establishing women's education, racial identity, and subjectivity, and represents educational objectives planning to the ruling women's bringing up.

        중년 여성의 평상 식이 지방산이 체지방 함량 및 혈중 지질 함량에 미치는 영향

        The present study undertaken to investigate the interrelationship among their regular dietary fatty acid intake, body fat content(BFC), and plasma lipid fractions(PLF) of middle-aged Korean women. Forty-nine women(age 30 to 49) participated in this study in which the aim was to determine their total nutrient intake per day, BFC and PLF, and to analyse the intercorrelations of these. Strong correlation was seen among their body mass index, mid-upper-arm-circumference, and BFC which were positively correlated with plasma total lipids(TL) and triglycerides(TG). Dietary myristic acid and lauric acid were positively correlated with both total cholesterol(TC) and LDL-cholesterol(LDL-C) in plasma. Palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, and total monounsaturated fatty acid(MUFA) were negatively correlated with HDL-cholesterol(HDL-C). Although dietary total saturated fatty acid(SFA) was not correlated with TC and LDL-C, it was positively correlated with TL and TG in plasma. However, dieary n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA) in regular Korean diet was not correlated with any of lipid fractions in plasma which might he due to the high ratio of n-6/n-3 in their diet. From the above results, it was concluded that plasma lipid fractions were modulated by their dietary nutrients, especially the types of the fatty acids. Dietary SFA and MUFA intake not PUFA are strongly correlated with LDL-C and HDL-C in the Korean diet. This may relate to the frequency of coronary heart disease in the age group.

        노년여성의 브래지어 착용실태 조사연구

        The purpose of this study is to suggest fundamental information about wearing method and production of brassiere, which is suitable for physiological hygiene and efficient action for elderly women. The subject is 418 elderly women aged 50~69 years old. Data is processed by a computer(SAS) and is analyzed by using frequency, percentage, χ²-test. The main results of this study are as follows: 1. Elderly women' weight and breast size are higher than their younger counterparts' in their 20's. but the older and poorer women with more children have smaller weight and breast. Most of the elderly women feel that their breasts are drooped or falling apart. In fact, those elderly women who gave birth to more children have more drooped and wider breasts. the major type of elderly women' breasts is the drooped breast' featured by those elderly women who have more children. 2. Most of the elderly women began to wear the brassiere for the first time in their 20's. the older women with more children began to were the brassiere earlier, while those less educated and poorer began to protect their breasts with brassiere later. Many elderly women were the brassiere to be protected from dirt, noise or look more neat, but day tend to wear the brassiere not all day around but at certain times, older, less educated and poorer women with more children tend to use the brassiere for etiquette and less often. This group of elderly women feel tedious, strange or uncomfortable for the brassiere. 3. Most of the elderly women know about their brassiere size. Such variables as age, education and income are correlated positively with the interest in and conscious ness of the brassiere size. All in all, the statistical distribution of elderly women's brassiere size is very wide, while most of them use 90A, 85A and 95A sizes. On the other hand, the most popular size for the under bust circumference is 85~90cm, while their primary cup size is A.

      • The Research of Body Types of the Chosun Tribe Women in China I

        This research analyes characterization and classification of body types for the Chosun tribe women in China (Chosunjok) based on the different life cycle of them and to compare the differences of body type with Korea standard body measurement values. The measurement has gauged in 1998 in Yeonkil City of China 100 women of the Chosun tribe aged between 17 and 24 in China were measured for this research. In ther results of frequency analysis. a comparison of the anthropometric categories of the Chosunjok with those of the Koreans revealed that the Chosunjok were shorter with longer upper bodies and smaller hips. Their shoulders were narrower with slightly lower shoulder degrees. In the results of factor analysis. Factor 1 represented the degree of obesity, while factor 2 indicated the stature and the arm length. Hence, it could be concluded that the factors indicationg the degree of obesity and the vertical size of the body told the most about the body's physical constitution. The body types are classified into five types by cluser analysis. The first type is with the lower height(148.1cm) and thin body. The second type is with the average body in common. The third type is with the tall and thin. The fourth type is with the tall and overweight. And the fifth type is with the small and overweight. The stature varied according to types, leading to a classification focusing on body size determined by stature and weight factors.
