This study aimed to examine the influential relationship between delivery service quality and customer satisfaction. The study also tested the moderating effect of the filtering function, which provides a criterion for selecting stores in food delivery applications in a relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction; then, it is used it as a grounds for proposing marketing plans based on the future delivery costs of the food service industry. The results of this study are summarized below. First, the effects of the five delivery service quality factors on customer satisfaction were empirically analyzed. The results indicated that food quality was the most influential factor on customer satisfaction, and system quality also had a positive impacton customer satisfaction. Safety quality, delivery/delivery person quality, and usefulness quality, however, showed no significant influence on customer satisfaction. Second, the moderating effect of a filtering function, which provides a criterion for store selection, was tested in a relationship between delivery service quality and customer satisfaction. The findings revealed that all the filtering functions, including delivery time, delivery tip, number of orders, ratings, and distance, demonstrated a positive moderating effect. As these study results prove, all filtering functions that were proposed as criteria for selecting stores showed a moderating effect on a causal relationship between delivery service quality and customer satisfaction, implying the growing importance of the filtering functions. The ordering in the list of businesses is determined by the filtering criteria that consumers choose. Considering the nature of the delivery business, where exposure to customers on the top list is directly linked to their choices, continuous and active management of the five proposed filtering criteria is absolutely necessary.

Purpose: Delirium in the intensive care unit (ICU) poses a significant safety and socioeconomic burden to patients and caregivers. However, invasive interventions for managing delirium have severe drawbacks. To reduce unnecessary interventions during ICU hospitalization, we aimed to investigate the features of delirium among ICU patients according to the occurrence of hypoactive symptoms, which are not expected to require invasive intervention. Materials and Methods: Psychiatrists assessed all patients with delirium in the ICU during hospitalization. Patients were grouped into two groups: a “non-hypoactive” group that experienced the non-hypoactive motor subtype once or more or a “hypoactive only” group that only experienced the hypoactive motor subtype. Clinical variables routinely gathered for clinical management were collected from electronic medical records. Group comparisons and logistic regression analyses were conducted. Results: The non-hypoactive group had longer and more severe delirium episodes than the hypoactive only group. Although the non-hypoactive group was prescribed more antipsychotics and required restraints longer, the hypoactive only group also re ceived both interventions. In multivariable logistic regression analysis, BUN [odds ratio (OR): 0.993, pH OR: 0.202], sodium (OR: 1.022), RASS score (OR: 1.308) and whether restraints were applied [OR: 1.579 (95% confidence interval 1.194–2.089), p<0.001] were significant predictors of hypoactive only group classification. Conclusion: Managing and predicting delirium patients based on whether patients experienced non-hypoactive delirium may be clinically important. Variables obtained during the initial 48 hours can be used to determine which patients are likely to re quire invasive interventions.

Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House (Et dukkehjem) is a problem play whose translations shocked East Asia ideologically. It was first translated into Korean following March 1st Independence Movement by Yang Geon-sik, a professional translator of Chinese literature. Yang did not follow the translation practice of Hu Shih or the achievements of the Chinese Vernacular Movement, but second-hand translated (double translated) the Japanese versions of the play. Yang’s translation was ambivalent in that he managed to translate the progressive values of the original successfully and innovatively while maintaining a faithfulness to the original and a conservative translating attitude. Yang’s Comedy Sa-rang-ui Gak-seong (Awakening of Love) was particularly controversial as it was a travesty of both Ibsen’s original work and his own translation. Male literary subjects including Yang denied the self-realization and liberation of women represented in the character of Nora. They understood women’s problems by imaginations based on triple confrontations between male and female, old and new, and East and West. The translations of Ibsen’s work into Korean were limited as it reflected impatience without historical practicability, and did not embody the consciousness of modern East Asia. Furthermore, through the translations of A Doll’s House, world literature became different while concurrent in East Asia, i.e., imaginations that were not uniform throughout the region, and true to but not fair with the original.
