This Study is Senerated to deternine the factors of regression analysis and to compane the values of regression equations and skempton equation Young San River Region and Kwang Yang Gulf Region in Chonnam. Regression analysis was conducted with a personal computer. To determine the factors, We must take the consolidation test in the laboratory, but the test is very difficult and takes long time. So, many repoters have studied to identify the relationship between the compression index and other soil properties besides consolidation test method. In this study, liquid limit was taken as a variable factor and Skempton method was applied to calwlate compression index-Analysis was conducted by region groups and by kinds of soil and by total data. Data gathered from Young San River Region(245). and Kwang Yang Gulf Region(350). The analyzed results for the data have shown that errors between the values of regression equation and Skempton equation are too great to apply Skempton equation to the marine soft clays in Chonnam Region. The range of the error is 30∼50%. As the result of regression analysis. The reliance of regression equation is very poor. For Young San RiverRegion, r=0.43, r^2=0.19, S=4.41×10^-2, C_c=0.0064(LL-39.6). For Kwang Yang Gulf region, r=0.57, r^2=0.33, S=3.7×10^-2, C_c=0.0099(LL-1.13). For total data, r=0.54, r^2=0.29, S=4.08×10^-2, C_c=0.008(LL-20.19) As a result, it will be very careful if skempton method and regression equation are to be applyed to the marine soft clys Chonnam Region. And it must take consolidation test to obtain the exact compression index.

Effective Estimation Method of Routing Congestion at Floorplan Stage for 3D ICs
Ahn, Byung-Gyu,Kim, Jae-Hwan,Li, Wenrui,Chong, Jong-Wha The Institute of Electronics and Information Engin 2011 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.11 No.4
Higher integrated density in 3D ICs also brings the difficulties of routing, which can cause the routing failure or re-design from beginning. Hence, precise congestion estimation at the early physical design stage such as floorplan is beneficial to reduce the total design time cost. In this paper, an effective estimation method of routing congestion is proposed for 3D ICs at floorplan stage. This method uses synthesized virtual signal nets, power/ground network and clock network to achieve the estimation. During the synthesis, the TSV location is also under consideration. The experiments indicate that our proposed method had small difference with the estimation result got at the post-placement stage. Furthermore, the comparison of congestion maps obtained with our method and global router demonstrates that our estimation method is able to predict the congestion hot spots accurately.
Cloning and Expression of the Saccharomyces diastaticus Glucoamylase Gene
Ahn, Jong Seong,Mheen, Tae Ick,Hwang, In Gyu,Chung, Min Seon 한국균학회 1987 韓國菌學會誌 Vol.15 No.2
Glucoamylase gene of S. diastaticus YIY 2-11A was cloned in S. diastaticus YIY 345, glucoamylase negative mutant. Unique Bam HI site of YEp 24 plasmid, yeast-E. coli shuttle vector, was used to construct the yeast genomic library in E. coli. The heterogeneous hybrid plasmids isolated from E. coli gene pool were retransformed to yeast, S. diastaticus YIY 345. From these yeast transformants, pYES 18 and pYES 12 plasmids that contain glucoamylase gene were isolated. Their restriction map and stability in yeast were studied and their glucoamylase activity were examined.

Next-generation sequencing technique has been known as a useful tool for de novo transcriptome assembly, functional annotation of genes and identification of molecular markers. This study was carried out to mine molecular markers from de novo assembled transcriptomes of four chilli pepper varieties, the highly pungent ‘Saengryeg 211’ and non-pungent ‘Saengryeg 213’ and variably pigmented ‘Mandarin’ and ‘Blackcluster’. Pyrosequencing of the complementary DNA library resulted in 361,671, 274,269, 279,221, and 316,357 raw reads, which were assembled in 23,607, 19,894, 18,340 and 20,357 contigs, for the four varieties, respectively. Detailed sequence variant analysis identified numerous potential single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and simple sequence repeats (SSRs) for all the varieties for which the primers were designed. The transcriptome information and SNP/SSR markers generated in this study provide valuable resources for high-density molecular genetic mapping in chilli pepper and Quantitative trait loci analysis related to fruit qualities. These markers for pepper will be highly valuable for marker-assisted breeding and other genetic studies.

Ion Induced Secondary Electron Emission of MgO with Patterned Gold Line Charge Neutralization
Jong-Wan Lee,Kie-Young Lee,Hong-Gyu Kim,Joon-Hyung Ahn,Won-Joon Jung,Sean J. Yoon,Byungdu Oh 한국진공학회(ASCT) 2001 Journal of Korean Vacuum Science & Technology Vol.5 No.1
Ion induced secondary electron emission coefficients γ of protecting layers of an AC plasma display panel(AC-PDP) have been measured. In order to solve the surface charging effect during the measurement at insulating samples like MgO, a new method with the patterned gold line charge neutralization has been introduced. The measurement was performed at the samples, MgO and MgO+MgF₂, which showed a great difference in the firing voltage between the two protecting layers. The γ value has been compared with the firing voltage V_f of the AC-PDP with the same protecting layer. Correct relationship between γ and V_f has been observed. Thus, the patterned gold line method has been proven to be successful for the measurement of the secondary electron emission yield at insulator sample surfaces.
Revegetation of a Lakeside Barren Area by the Application of Plant Growth-promoting Rhizobacteria
Ahn, Tae-Seok,Ka, Jong-Ok,Lee, Geon-Hyoung,Song, Hong-Gyu The Microbiological Society of Korea 2007 The journal of microbiology Vol.45 No.2
The growth stimulation of wild plants by several bacterial species showing plant growth-promoting capabilities was examined in a barren lakeside area at Lake Paro, Korea. Microbial numbers and activities in the field soil were monitored for 73 days after inoculation of the bacteria. The acridine orange direct counts for the total soil bacterial populations ranged between $2.0-2.3{\times}10^{9}\;cells/g$ soil and $1.4-1.8{\times}10^{9}\;cells/g$ soil in the inoculated and uninoculated soils, respectively. The numbers of Pseudomonas spp., which is known as a typical plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria, and the total microbial activity were higher in the inoculated soil compared to those in the uninoculated soil. The average shoot and root lengths of the wild plants grown in the inoculated soil were 17.3 cm and 12.4 cm, respectively, and longer than those of 11.4 cm and 8.5 cm in the uninoculated soil. The total dry weight of the harvested wild plants was also higher in the inoculated soil (42.0 g) compared to the uninoculated soil (35.1 g). The plant growth-promoting capabilities of the inoculated bacteria may be used for the rapid revegetation of barren or disturbed land, and as biofertilizer in agriculture.

Ahn, S.H.,Kim, Yong Nam,Shin, Hyun Gyu,Lee, Hee Soo,Hwang, Jong Hee,Kim, Hyun Min,Kwak, J. Trans Tech Publications, Ltd. 2006 Key Engineering Materials Vol.309 No.-

Preparation of bioactive glasses was attempted utilizing waste bovine as raw resource. Bioactive and biodegradable batch compositions in the Na2O-CaO-SiO2 system were included with calcined bovine, whose phase was high-purity oxy-hydroxyapatite. Bovine inclusion as large as 40 mass% was shown to present highly bioactive glasses; bovine in the bioactive and biodegradable compositions presented glasses with controlled bioactivity and biodegradability, respectively. These indicate not only a plenty biological resource of bio-interactive materials, but also an alternative strategy for bioactive glasses with multi-functional applications.
