Butadiene-Vinyl Chloride System의 共重合性에 關한 分子軌道論的 考察

The wave function coefficients and π-electron energies of butadiene (M_1), butadiene radical (∼M_1°), vinyl chloride (M_2), and vinyl chloride radical (∼M_2°) were calculated respectively by means of the simple Hu¨ckel method, and the second perturbation energies, the stabilization energies (ΔErs), in the transition states of the following reactions were also calculated. ∼M_1°+M_1 → ΔE_11∼M_1°, ∼M_1°+M_2 →ΔE_12 ∼M_2° ∼M_2°+M_2 → ΔE_22∼M_2°, ∼M_2°+M_1 →ΔE_21 ∼M_1° As the stabilization energy ratio, ΔE_11/ΔE_12 is 1.23 and ΔE_22/ΔE_21 is 0.73, the copolymer of butadiene-vinyl chloride system consists mostly of butadiene. This fact agrees qualitatively with reactivity ratio of these monomers. Therefore, the copolymerizability of this monomer system can be estimated as the stabilization energy ratio. The orientation of radical addition copolymerization of the butadiene-vinyl chloride system is discussed on the basis of the calculated frontier electron density.
황, 산소 및 질소 헤테르 고리화합물의 방향족 치환반응성에 관한 분자궤도론적 해석

The electrophilic substitution reascivities were invesitigated for sulphur-, oxygen-, and nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds by simple Huckel MO method, separatively. It was found that electrilic reactivity index, S??, for sulphur-containing aromatic compound was related in parallel with the experimental partial rate factor contant, σ+. The reactivities of each position are predicted for the same type of hetero compounds in which N or O atom is substituted for S atom on the basis of observed good parallelism between the S?? and the σ+ for the sulphur-containing aromatic compounds.

The interactions of various carcinogens, such as polyaromatic hydrocarbons, dimethylaminoazobenzene(DAB) and its derivatives and benzacridines with deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA) were investigated by means of second-order perturbation method. The most probable orientations of molecular complex between DNA-base pairs and carcinogen were defermined by the quantity of charge transfer from adenine-thymine pair (A=T pair) to carcinogen and from Guanine-Cytosine pair (G≡C) to carcinogen. It was found that the quantity of charge transfer from thymine part of A=T pair to carcinogen was considerably larger than that from guanine part of G≡C pair to carcinogen. A good parallelism was alos found between the quantity of charge transfer and experimenental carcinogenic activity.
Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate의 분해반응에 대한 속도론적 연구

하천수에서 분리해 낸 SDS(Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate) 분해균주에 의하여 분해균주량의 변화와 SDS의 농도변화를 주어 SDS를 분해시킬 때 그 분해반응을 속도론적으로 연구하였다. 실험결과 SDS의 분해를 BOD로 표시하여 분해률을 측정한 속도식은 1차로 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 분해균주량의 변화와 SDS농도의 변화에 따른 속도상수는 분해규준량에는 영향을 받지 않으나 SDS의 농도에는 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 활성화에너지는 5.304kcal/mol, 활성화 파라메타인 ???와 ???는 각각 4.69kcal/mol, -56.90 e.u.임을 알았다. Kinetic studies were carried out for change in BOD of SDS degradating microorganism isolated from river water. It is found that the decomposition of SDS is first order. Rate constants for the decomposition of SDS and its degrading microorganism found not to have an influence on variation of SDS-degrading microorganism but have an influence on SDS concentration. And thermodynamic parameters, Ea, ???? and ????, were obtained the value of 5.304kcal/mol, 4.69kcal/mol and -56.90 e.u., respectively.

The electronic states of the antimicrobial phenzine and its derivatives were examined by Extended H?uckel Method. It was found that the sum of nucleophilic reactivity index for trans 1,2, and 4 positions, ?? in a molecule was found to be related antimicrobial activity. The index, ??, should be applied to biological activity as well as antimicrobial activity.

Taurine is a major $\beta$-amino acid in various tissues. Taurine transporter (TAUT) is responsible for the transportation of taurine in the cell. The transporter is affected by various stimuli to maintain its cell volume. Macrophage cell volume varies in its activated states. In our experiment, it was found that the murine macrophage cell line, RAW264.7, expressed TAUT protein in its membrane. Its transportation activities could be blocked by a $\beta$-amino acid such as $\beta$-alanine, but not by $\alpha$-amino acids in this cell line. When assessed in RAW264.7 under the influence of immunosuppressive reagents, the activity of the TAUT was decreased by the treatment of rapamycin (RM) or cyclosporin A (CsA). However when ionomycin (IM) was added to this system, TAUT activity was recovered only in CsA-treated cells in a concentration-dependent manner. In order to inhibit the voltage gated {TEX}$Ca^{+2}${/TEX} channel, calmidazolium was added to the RAW264.7 cell line. Treatment of the cell with calmidazolium completely blocked TAUT. Furthermore, addition of IM to this system recovered the activity of TAUT again. When we added phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) to the cell line, secretion of nitric oxide (NO) was increased 4-fold and the TAUT activity was decreased 5-fold. However, the addition of N-nitro L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME), an inducible NO synthase (iNOS) inhibitor, to the PMA-treated cells, resulted in the recovery of TAUT activity. These results showed that the activity of TAUT was sensitive to the intracellular concentrations of both {TEX}$Ca^{+2}${/TEX} and NO.
말기 신부전증을 동반한 전신성 홍반성 낭창 환자에서 동종 신장이식 증례

In systemic lupus erythematosus renal involvement is very common and it accounts for the leading cause of death of the disease. Since SLE is a systemic disease involving many organs and it is caused by altered immunological background many physicians tend to hesitate in employing hemodialysis and renal transplantation. We report the first renal transplantion in Korea which was performed in a patient with end-stage renal failure due to SLE. The patient had positive LE pre- parations, low serum complement, antibody to native DNA and renal biopsy showing diffuse proliferative lupus nephritis but she manifested decreasing clinical activity during hemodialysis. The patient received kidney allograft from living related donor after unilateral nephrectomy. There was no clinical or his- tological evidence of rejection or recurrence of lupus nephritis in the grafted kidney. The patient maintains normal renal function 18 months after renal trans- plantation.
